Treebeard has struggled getting work in Hollywood despite his role in LOTR. We got him a temp job being sandwich board guy. (really what happened is that I forgot to pack a extra stand, but did remember to bring a Treebeard action figure to hang out with)

Samurai Jack Backgrounds

These are the notebooks I took to MCM last weekend! I was very pleased with how they turned out, although getting the colours to scan was a nightmare. I'd run out of bristol board and had to paint on cream paper, which is always a bad idea. I never learn!

We forgot to take a photo of our table at MCM before some of these had already sold out, so here they are in a set in case you wanted to see the other designs.

Here's a little one-page preview of one of the comics I've done this year. Originally it was intended for a music-themed anthology, but we did the music zine instead, so now it will appear in Mixtape. (Which we'll have at Inspired events from May onwards.)

I've used this floaty ink effect for a ghost story before, so I'm pleased to look at this comic and think I've got better at it.

Sammy's been putting up one-page previews of the other comics on the Inspired tumblr. You should look if you like comics!

The next event we're going to is Bristol Expo this weekend, I hope some of you can make it down to say hello!

I TOO HOPE THERE WILL BE ANOTHER MUSIC ZINE. Even though it is totally me who slows down the process because I don't know as much about music as Sammy. XD

yep. I went to see Peace play in Birmingham. I didn’t draw them - the guys in the sketches are from Jaws. Peace brought too many strobe lights for drawing. TOO MANY. (sorry I’m not cool enough to handle them. just stand there awkwardly scrunching my face up wishing they stop … oh I’m such a party pooper. but seriously the music is loud enough I don’t need to leave the gig blind too (I like loud music))

err thought I’d attach the little review I wrote last summer for that music zine we printed in the autumn. I don’t commute to birmingham any more so it’s weird reading it back.

hopefully there will be another music zine. I have a couple of articles and illustrations that are drafted. I take so long to write so I have to start early.

Hello hello, Woolves! I’m pleased to report we did a very brisk trade at London MCM Expo, and we’ve funded some future tables! We also sold out of the Spring 2013 issue, so we’ll be doing a second print run.
