At the time, I was so angry at Skyward Sword. I used the graphics as an excuse. No, I don’t think the Wii had the ability to give the pastel art-style the most vivid hues, err, I mean dues, that it deserved. But, in reality, I think I was just mad that it wasn’t Majora’s Mask or Ocarina of Time. I’m so passionate about those two games, and they were a special part of my childhood. But, The Legend of Zelda franchise is daring, and bold, and tries new things, and establishes deep, interesting folklore and history. I’ve always loved it all, but, I guess I just had trouble letting go of my childhood. The truth is, Skyward Sword is a fun, quirky, solid addition to the series. There, I’ve said; I was just being an ass. -blushes-
You may be thinking, “well, there have been multiple Zelda releases since ‘Ocarina of Time’ and 'Majora’s Mask.’” And, that’s very true. I’m more inclined towards a more serious, dark take on the whole good versus evil trope in video games. I actually really enjoyed “Twilight Princess.” I think I dismissed the heart and fun and personality of “Skyward Sword” as it not taking the series seriously. But, it is, in its own, fun, lighter way. I was wrong. Sorry, Internet.
Twilight is a Gossip
I’m from the South, born and raised, and as someone well acquainted with country stereotypes, I am baffled by how little Gossip!Twilight I see. You know the stereotype about teenage girls and how they talk around their problems without ever directly addressing them? Country people do that All. The. Time. So if we label Twilight as a country bumpkin, why should he be exempt? Give me more “bless your hearts” and passive aggressive back talk from our favorite rancher! Just because he’s laidback doesn’t mean he can’t be a little shit sometimes!
Is this my excuse to write Twilight as a sneaky smartass? Mayhaps, mayhaps not

OH MY GOD SAME
That was the first LoZ game i played! My dad introduced me to it some several years ago and i still haven’t finished it 😭 i got stuck at the part with the rolling rocks and i stopped playing and years later i decided to play it from the start just to get stuck on some other part of the game and i ended up stopping and i haven’t played it since.
i really should though! I remember loving that game so much. God i’m having so many flashbacks right now—practicing riding Epona & jumping over the hurdles, trying and failing to knock down the beehive so i could collect honey (and also ended up getting swarmed by bees too lol), fumbling around in the dark basement for some extra rupees, one of the npcs even yelled at me once cause i destroyed all the pumpkins in the garden, that scared me so much lmao. I should try and play it again sometime soon :D
