honestly not sure the walkers are going to be defeated in the books so much as pushed back and the wall rebuilt. you can’t stop death or winter. but i’m possibly terribly wrong, who knows. (whether they destroy the walkers/ice zombies will determine whether melisandre dies or not imo. if they don’t, she’ll might be helping to rebuild the wall, at least partly as some sort of penance maybe?) also do you think cersei’s surviving twow/destroying the sept? i’m curious!

possibly but whoever manages that sure as hell it’s not arya lol I do like the idea of melisandre helping out rebuild the wall though I’m really not too confident that she might live, but we’ll see XD

re cersei: I think she definitely survives burning the sept but I don’t think it’s the WoW cliffhanger - like, at the *end* of adwd the trial is coming right up, jaime isn’t there and he’s not coming back and there is no way it happens that much later. also varys is keeping her reign on a respirator waiting for aegon and jonc to show up which like…. since this entire fandom has decided that aegon is a fake and that since the show cut that subplot then it’s not important, but since it’s…. varys’s…. supposed… endgame plan and everything *he* has been working for until now as we found out, I’m more of the mind that after the sept’s burn she gets the new aerys fame because wow she blew up half of KL with wildfire and she’s out of control, aegon & co show up with varys’s help and she might get deposed - now I wouldn’t bet money on whether that means it’s when she dies because that would be actually half-believing in my crackpot theory about how her prophecy might go and I don’t really want to because I’m not presuming my crackpot theories might actually be right but I also don’t think there’s much of a chance she’s surviving twow especially if she burns the sept and she’s deposed with the whole setup of ‘oh hey look at the actual targaryen heir who’s young and gallant and valiant and not at all like his grandfather has come to free you from the out of control aerys 2.0 lannister queen that no one ever asked for and blew up half of the city’ you know XD
