Can I Go On A Rant For A Second?
Can I go on a rant for a second?
Imagine that you come across an eldrich giant, a species of which has inhabited your entire galaxy.
The giants are somewhat similar to you, but also have a lot of differences.
The giants sometimes lure your kin by mimicking what you sound like for various purposes. Gifts of resources, harm or, most importantly, strange rituals that only the giants are capable of.
The rituals are not harmful, infact, they are addictive. The giants have this strange organ with five appendages that are used for something that you could only call magic or a miracle.
With a single touch a giant can make you feel euphoric, but without giving you food or any other resource that would usually make you feel the same, an illusion of paradise.
This is how I believe animals view pets from humans and you cannot convince me otherwise, trust me others have tried. Animals can't even comprehend hands or language of humans, we are genuinely like eldrich gods to them.

What do you mean "post on consistent topics"?
I don't know who that is!

My elves might be unconventional, but I made them long-nosed/horned bugs. They look mostly human, but are pale, have long noses and ear cannals instead of ears.
Anatomically they have an exoskeleton instead of what we have, so on close inspection you might notice splits on joints of their limbs. They breath through pores on their chest where they also keep their vestigial middle pair of limbs.
I also gave them a culture based in unique identities and their expression. Like many insect species they often communicate in gestures and dances, creating famous elven circles in open fields.
Must also add that my elves are a bit more mythology/folklore based rather then classical fantasy.
Elves (Speculative Biology)
If elves were real, what do you think they’d descend from? Personally I find them being a subspecies to be a little bit boring. Please lmk!! I’m considering for my fantasy world

Can I offer you some OCs in these trying times?

"Where are you headed, friend?"
Hotland lab was empty and dark. A note on the floor before an omenous door directed you to enter and find out what The royal scientist is hiding.
Under the lab there is an entire complex, The tue lab. Medical equipment, mirrors, flowers, strange machines and ... White shapes lurking just out of view.
From records you know what happened. The monsters you were familiar with now merged together with power from souls.
You would expect that whoever conducted such operations would stop after a couple of unfortunate results, but there are too many of them to assume.
Flowey also was created here, injected with a will to live without a soul. Being niether a human or a monster there is a chance that he might be able to consume souls of both.
In the generator room of the true lab amalgamations cought up to you, but the flower emerged, connecting itself to the animalistic creations of soul power. Confused and torn apart by wills of multiple lives now have a direction given by the plant.
They merged and congealed into a shape akin to the flower itself. It seems like the flower came to warn you of the danger he'll pose if you continue on the path that you took.
The flower took residence in Waterfall where it controls the web of espionage. Maybe you could use his abilities for mansterkind's benefit.
(To The CR!Underfell masterpost)

Another OC between CR!UF posts. Maybe I should infodump about those to make it more interesting? So, in my writing/worldbuilding project thing, Wizardry is one of the big magic traditions (alongside Witchcraft, Sorcery, Bardry etc.) defined by it's scientific approach to magic use. Therefore Wizardry is a common subject in the universities and colleges of the world. Eri (short for Erick with a YE sound) was one of those who tried to study for a wizard professionally... But failed horribly. To not spoil anything in case this turns into a comic or something, I would rathen not go into much detail about their backstory. Now it lives somewhere in gnomish territories connected to the dungeon my main characters are travelling through. They constantly stim with those dangly robe things.
