you ever seen something that makes you feel like your brain is data moshing, but, like, in a good way?
I still find it pretty wild that in the 20 Minutes into the Future movie, Max Headroom the AI (while they couldn’t entirely decide what they wanted the character to represent) is mostly an eerily prescient portrayal of networks “owning” the appearances and voices of their TV personalities even after their death, puppeting around this reporter’s face in service of exactly the kind of insidious consumerism he was trying to do an exposé on before he died. But then in the TV show Max is just, like, their weird pet.
