Why did I recently realize that Sumi tying the ribbon back in her hair when officially joining the group actually kinda parallels to when she did it during her first session with Maruki but the contexts are different??

"Dr. Maruki, I... I want to become Kasumi." || "I want to live life as Sumire!"

I'm honestly having trouble grasping why people want the ribbon to be replaced besides "she's still clinging onto/dependent on her sister" which... Is not why she chose that? She even spells it out at the end of her SL: It's in memory of her sister along with her newfound promise and resolve. This is part of why her putting it back on works for me and not a sign of dependence on Kasumi.

Especially since having it all the way down just showcases her depression and mental state so it's like... Huh?

I can see it materializing her outfit being a mix of her admiration to Joker and her growing newfound promise to Kasumi. Cendrillon being brought back with Kasumi's spirit can kinda support that too imo.

Sure, a redesign would still be a massive improvement but still it's more about that particular bit and the ribbon which commonly used in criticisms and arguments. Idk, it just works somehow despite the writing issues and a lovely parallel!

persona 5 hot take but that one scene after Shido's palace is blown WAAY out of proportion by the fandom. its literally just an anime gag, which persona 5 is. its an anime game with anime jokes.

granted its not a particularly funny joke, its not even a joke i particularly think was warranted or funny myself, but the absolute HATRED towards that one scene is SO OVERBLOWN i honestly cant understand it

I keep thinking about this particular part of her false awakening where she looks down at her hands in what looks like shock/fear and it keeps going back to my previous thoughts about how her red gloves can be symbolic of her unconsciously thinking she has her twin sister's blood on her hands...

Adding to that is a shot of a close up of her gaining the gloves during the magical girl sequence.

Like she's still running from the truth and problem by unknowingly (but then knowingly in 3rd Semester) continuing to live a lie. But her true cognition and inner rebel I guess said, "nope." Can definitely add more to Cendrillon's behavior too!

Just a quick edit to give her a braid! Honestly doing the edit is making me realize that this is definitely my favorite Sumi outfit! I just love the retro feel of it with the style and color choices so I had to add a couple touches to it! And of course, the red ribbon gets converted into a headband! Also added the previously mentioned freckles HC!
