Spoilers for DRV3 below the cut, but hey, it's an AU idea, read it if you want.

Wait... what if... hear me tf out guys... WHAT IF!!

What if the flashback lights are fake memories like in the canon V3 game, but the fake memories aren't of the outside world, the fake memories are of V3 ITSELF!

The first flashback light gives them their memories as students, and that's also the prologue.

The next one gives them the fake memory of the funeral, and the first chapter, so Kaede believes she killed Rantaro and was executed, she no longer has a consciousness. It's not impossible for her to be in one of the simulation pods like in DR2 because she believes she is dead.

The flashback lights continue, and so does the "killing game" but all of it is fake, their memories are being altered and the gameplay is just the protagonist at the time sorting through the fake memories to attempt to reach the truth.

All in all the gameplay is just the Monokubs and Tsumugi feeding lies in their memories, and Shuichi trying to work out what the light is doing and how it affects him, asking for other contestants for help (FTEs) while solving murders (trials).

Shuichi is becoming aware of this fact, and he's trying to go through his memories to try and work out what Danganronpa V3 really is.

And his memories stop right when he loses Hope.

The other participants that are alive are standing in the Chapter 6 Trial Room, still believing the fake memories of the light. But Shuichi loses hope because he has no more memories to rely on, he has no truth, and he doesn't know if the world he is in is a truth or a lie.

And that's when Tsumugi notices that he has realised.

And so she tells him the truth, the only truth in the flashback lights.

"It's all fiction."

And now Shuichi has to work out whether it's a truth or a lie, he has to work out how to save his friends and stop Tsumugi, alone. He realises that if it's fiction then his memories are fiction, and he has no more memories before that. So was he just created for Danganronpa?

((These are facts from my Danganronpa OC AU))

1 - Everyone who were revived got Therapy

(Note: Im not explaining How they got revived, You just have to speculate)

2 - Sora got a Human body (Sora is from Super Danganronpa another Sequel)

3 - Satuki and Haruhiko are dating

4 - Akane and Ayame are Somewhat friends but are trying to mend their trust with each other.

5 - Kokichi and his group Dice secretly give presents to homeless children in the dead of night at shelters.

6 - Utsuro is also given therapy even if he doesn't want it and is Really Bored.

7 - Kenshiro got better and he and Sakura ogami are still dating!

8 - Gunham can use magic but it only works on animals.

9 - The higher ups at hope peak are Creeps and one of them Sexually harrassed a girl and got away with it. (This later got revealed to the public thanks to Phil)

AU character concept of Minerva from the Telltale’s The Walking Dead game.

Apart of a (currently unfinished) fanfic story where the season 4 antagonist was helped and put onto a path of healing and recovery.

Minnie was a complicated character, and very impressionable for someone who only physically appears nearish the end of the season. I feel this character is grossly misinterpreted as some crazy psycho, and while it is true that there is something deeply wrong with her, I think the best interpretation is that she is ultimately a traumatised young woman, so ridden with guilt and self-hate fuelled by her abusers and captors that she cannot turn against them.

By giving her a hurt broken look, skimpy attire, timid posture and the scars of what she’s gone through, I think the goal of presenting her as such worked out nicely!
