I know, they are messy sketches. I just wanted to practice drawing them, and moments from this fic inspired me a lot. I still have to practice drawing Knuckles

Jojo sometimes doing stylish makeup to her cousins ?

She's not allowed to use make-up, especially after...the incident. But she does occasionally styles the boys' hair. Since Tails doesn’t really mind. Knuckles enjoys having his quills braded or put up. Sonic doesn’t like it at all XD

So I Just watched Drone Home And...

- Knuckles returning the “sacred tomes” to the library for Maddie only for them to get blown up was great XD

- One of the books says “Parenting Adopted Children” so KNUCKLES AND TAILS ARE PART OF THE WACHOSKI BROS/ FAMILY CONFIRMED!!!!!! 

- It’s almost like Pat Casey read the fanfics and looked at the fanart and said

- The animation was great and so was the voice acting. I wished that they had the original movie VA’s but the new ones do a good job too :)

- Sonic protecting Tails for most of the short was precious, especially when Tails hid behind Sonic when they first entered the junkyard. 🥺

- I wish that they didn’t get rid of Knuckles for the majority of the short but when he returned, it was comedy gold XD

- Tails owns an Eggman drone and I don’t know how Maddie and Tom are gonna feel about that. I wonder if they will keep him for the third movie 🤔

- Have I mentioned how good the animation is because the ANIMATION IS SOOOOO GOOD! It’s so fluid and expressive! Just *mwah* chefs kiss!

Overall, this was a fun short and I hope that we get more animated shorts like this :D

Hadn’t rlly drawn all day so this was fun

One of my favorite things from the Sonic 2 movie (that I haven’t seen anyone talk about yet) is

(mild spoiler below cut)

THE WAY TOM JUST. okay. so. You know that scene where he is trying to play volleyball with the other guys and gets pummeled and is just generally the guy on the outside looking in at the others being all chummy?

You know how those scenes usually go in movies? The guy getting pummeled usually gets all “I’mma get ’em back” or huffy or something.

But Tom? No. His first thought at seeing the squad all congratulating each other is “I wish my son had a friend group of his own.” I really liked that. It really shows what a Dad he is, good for him. ALSO I just wanna point out how Relationship Goals Tom and Maddie (Maddy?) are! They are so cute and sweet and good for each other. I mean, we saw that already in the first film, but man do I love healthy relationships being portrayed in media. Love them.

I love how the Sonic movies, while not taking away time from the title character and the original Sonic gang, can create genuinely good secondary characters that each get their own moment (hah!) to really shine through.
