sonic 2 au where robotnik had to take some downtime at the mean bean to recover before going after sonic and he gets to see stone just... so happy, working at the shop. hes beaming all the time, and he's clearly put a lot of work into the buisness. the coffee names are all little in jokes from stones time working with robotnik, or things ivo knows he likes or finds funny. hes made all the coffee flavours and combos himself, all pretty unique stuff. and his latte art has come on leaps and bounds (yes he did look inside every cup, once he realised stone was doing that - he noticed, even if stone thinks he didnt).
so of course ivo gets bitchy and sullen, thinking stone likes this life better here in greenhills, instead of working for the doctor at the lab, that the doctor going away was good because stone was finally free of him, free to persue something he genuinely enjoys.
stone finallybworks out whats going on (well, less he works it out and more robotnik breaks and yells at him" and stone has to tell him "i do enjoy this work, i wont pretend that i wont. its something i like doing. but i dont enjoy being here - im only enjoying it so much now because youre back."

Before I go to sleep, how do you think Eggman survived the end of the second Sonic movie? I mean we knew Stone survived but he wasn't exactly in the open, which could've cushioned his fall and prevented serious injury. Eggman literally fell off of it, and as Commander Walters said, "Nobody could've survived that crash, he's toast." Eggman is a normal human and didn't have the Master Emerald, and even if it hadn't been Sonic would've been in possession of it at that point because he had the Chaos Emeralds. SO HOW DID EGGMAN SURVIVE THE CRASH AT THE END OF THE SECOND MOVIE.

Two for Two, Sonic movie team. Well Done! Nice to see Knuckles isn’t a brain dead idiot, Carrey still did fantastic as Eggman, liked Tails and his contraptions and the bond he and Sonic went through, and the Blue Blur was as good as ever!
