2/ theriotypes: lynx, death head moth, and snow leopard | kintypes: sharkpup and questioning fallen-angel/demon | hearttypes: hammerhead shark and whale shark | possible link/c’link: mouse and Labrador

3/ yup, mostly just phantom shifts where we get paws, moth wings, tail, or ears. We’ve gotten some pretty intense mental shifts where we almost completely shift into the mindset of a lynx (my main theriotype), we’ve never gotten a cameo shift 😅

4/ sometimes food will taste dry and bitter or we just can’t bare eating human food (but we obvi can’t do anything about that), most of the time it’s very comforting if that makes any sense or we just continue our day like a human would

5/ for the most part we think it’s really nice because there’s a lot of lovely accepting people/beings who have really helped us and we’re sure many others discover more about themselves and learn to accept who they are and who they aren’t

6/ being outside, rolling in warm grass, talking to people who are like us, and just simply enjoying being alterhuman

7/ we have experienced it but not currently

8/ keep researching and learning and talking to other members of the community. And remember your alterhumanity is yours and it’s gonna be different than other peoples/beings and that’s ok, You. Are. Valid.

9/ yup we have some

10/ we believe that our soul/spirit has been around for millions of years and gone through multiple alternate universes. And that over all those years has collected bits and pieces of every body (this includes animals, people, plants, etc.) it’s inhabited and that’s why we might have shifts, dysphoria, urges, instincts, etc., it’s different parts of our soul showing through (I posted a longer explanation :3)

hey, hey alterhuman community. just created this page so would love to find new friends and connections around ya'all.

angelkins, godkins, starkins, spasekins, faerykins and others, let's get to know each other and exchange experiences. let's have some fun!

My greatest piece of advice to anyone who’s newly awakened to being otherkin, therian, alterhuman, nonhuman, etc. is to research.

I’m not talking about looking up definitions on fandom wikis or whatever. You need to really get to know your community before even considering conversations about who “can” and “cannot” be something.

Learn about the histories of our kind.

Read essays on your peers’ experiences.

Familiarize yourself with different labels and identities outside of your own.

Open your mind to experiences not only similar to yours, but also aren’t like your experiences at all.

I’m saying this in the kindest way possible, especially to younger members of our community. I get it. I know what it’s like to come up in a space and see how discourse is given a lot of focus. There’s pressure to take a hard stance on something.

But, you just realized this part of yourself.

Please understand that zeroing in on discourse, let alone becoming a gatekeeper, isn’t the way to engage with community.

Most of all, it’s not good to dive headfirst into it without educating yourself.

Our Beliefs About Our Alterhumanity✨🌱

We believe that we started out as a pure “fire”-like entity, a flowing ball of dark energy meandering its way through space and time.

      During this “beginning phase” we inhabited many different beings such as single/simple-celled organisms, plants, mystical creatures, stars, angels, demons, early animals, and even some present day (and future) species (as time is not relevant to us, at least during this phase). These visits were short and we would “collect” only tiny pieces of them to add to its energy and as time goes on we become more complex and the visits turn into extended stays. 

      Finally we were able to completely rid our host of its old soul and stay there until the being died or was destroyed. This is phase two.

      We had inhabited 100’s, 1000’s, maybe more beings by now and featured a multitude of different aspects that make us unique. However all those short visits will be forgotten after a while as they do not leave a significant impact upon us. 

Now that we could act as a soul we started to take large peices of our hosts that are much more noticeable. 

      This is why we feel some of our hearttypes, theriotypes, links, kintypes, more intensely and why we feel so many or so complex. 

      Also, if you remember, we started as a flowing ball of dark energy which is why we are demonkin. it’s our base for everything. 

We also feel like this kinda shows why we just feel like a being just looking out through soulless eyes. That’s what we are.

(This entire explanation might also help you see why we use we/us)

Not a belief just wanted to share: we feel as though this is only the 3rd or 4th human we’ve Inhabited.
