Alright im starting a fic about alice. I don’t know nearly enough about her to depict her accurately so things will be subject to change if/when I continue this. Anyway have a nice little fic about how she named the tts bots

Alice enjoyed naming things. This was really no surprise to anyone she worked with considering they had to deal with her constant naming of the thing in the office. Things changed when the text to speech programs started talking however. There was something about them, they just had personality. She hadn’t really thought about the computers much before other than the fact that they sucked and were hard to use, but now she had a reason to pay attention.

The one that was speaking now had a gentle soft spoken voice. It sounded like a friend. Subconsciously she had been bouncing names around in her head, trying to find one that fit. Charles? No. Barney? No, Martin? No. Norris… Yes that fit. Norris, that’s it’s name now. Now as it talked and she half payed attention to what it was saying she thought about what it would do in its free time. He probably played solitaire and enjoyed a good book. The report finished and she quickly read through it again before submitting it.

A little bit later a different voice began speaking. This one was deeper, more academic, more like the protagonist in a gothic horror novel. She bounced around the usual names for that particular genre. Victor was too cliche, Henry just didn’t stick, but then the name Chester came to mind. That one stuck. Yes Chester, he likes books too, like Norris. Maybe they have a book club together. They definitely have a book club together. They are close friends, both definitely have a crush on eachother but are too oblivious to their feelings to get with eachother. Chester is the one who buys the books. Yes these two are best friends and must never be separated or so she decided. Eventually she went home and immediately went to take a nap.

Dang now I need to come up with a ship name for Collin Becher x Freddie. I can’t just make Fr3yer and Polygramming and leave that one out.

You know, I’m not an eye avatar or anything, but the temptation to read home-stuck soully because someone who has read it told me not to read it is pretty strong in me now. Maybe if someone were to to text me and infodump me on the plot my burning curiosity would be satisfied enough to not ever touch it :^ .
