No thoughts only Diluc with his lover and how they met each other. Enjoy~

Warnings: NSFW, unprotected sex, missionary (sex position), slight spoilers for the Ballads and Brews event and for Diluc's backstory utc.

NSFW Content below, by scrolling further past this point, you have chosen to read the content below to your own accord.

Notes: I’m more than likely going to make a series out of this for all of the men. I’ll probably make a poll to see who I should write the next one of these for.

Summary: Diluc despises talking or thinking about the Knights of Favonius and anyone who associates with them. However, that completely excludes you, his lover and Varka’s only child. In all fairness, your history with him runs deep, all the way back to when he first started out as Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius.

The first time that Diluc can recall hearing your voice and seeing your face was when Varka introduced the two of you at the party that the Knights of Favonius hosted to celebrate his becoming Cavalry Captain. His father was there with him, a hand on his shoulder as he spoke to him. That was when you walked up, holding a glass of a drink he can’t recall now, but one you liked at the time.

“Congratulations on becoming Cavalry Captain. It’s very difficult for even the senior knights to impress the Grandmaster.” You said, taking a sip of the drink. “Oh, thank you.” He said, causing you to hum softly. “I’m sorry, I don’t recall ever meeting you. Do we know each other?” He asked. You shook your head, smiling softly. You were about to say something when Varka walked up, clapping him on the back. “Diluc, there you are, my boy. Ah, and I see that you’ve met (Y/N) as well.” He said, ruffling his hair and yours. “Is that your name?” He asked, causing you to nod. “I’m their father.” Varka explained, a big grin on his face as he spoke. “Sorry, I was about to say that.” You said, hiding your face in your hands. “There’s no need to be embarrassed, my father is the same way.” He said, patting your shoulder. The two of you talked until the late evening, when Diluc had to return home for the night.

The next memory Diluc remembered clearly was when the two of you were fifteen, and you were in the middle of a commission, dealing with a group of Hilichurls. One of them tried to throw a pyro slime at you, but Diluc jumped in front of you and hit it with his claymore. You turned back and looked at him after dealing with the other Hilichurls, smiling. “Thanks, that might have been bad if it had hit me.” You said, checking off the commission on the list you had. “Alright, one more, and it’s in…” you groaned. “It’s in Dragonspine, lovely.” You sighed deeply, before feeling a hand on your upper back. “Let’s get going then.” You heard Diluc say. “What about you? Aren’t you on patrol?” You asked. He shook his head. “I finished everything I needed to do today early, so I was headed back home for the day, but I don’t mind. Besides, it’s better to go with someone in case one of us needs to get help.” He said, causing you to nod in agreement. “Alright, I’m convinced, come on then.” You said, grabbing his hand and leading him toward the towering mountain.

You’d gotten to the foot of the mountain with him when it got much colder, causing you to shiver. “Are you cold?” He asked, causing you to nod. “Even though I have a jacket on, it’s still pretty cold.” You said, before feeling a sudden warmth wrapped around your shoulders as Diluc guided your arms through the sleeves of his jacket. “Wait,” you said, stopping him, “won’t you be cold, though?” You asked, worried. “I have a Pyro Vision, so my body temperature usually runs warmer than most other people.” He explained, buttoning up the jacket to where you would still be able to move. “Come on, it should be up ahead.” He said. The commission was a simple time trial, and you got your gliders ready and stepped on the pressure plate, triggering the timer to start. You both ran as fast as you could toward the slimes on the way, cutting them down swiftly together. By the time you both got to the bottom of the mountain, you were exhausted, panting softly. “Sorry, I’m a bit out of breath.” You said. “You should get back, it’s getting a bit late.” He said, helping you down the mountain. It was only after he left that you realized that you still had his jacket on. Your father noticed, but he decided against saying anything to spare you the embarrassment.

The next day, you walked to the Dawn Winery to give him back his coat, now smelling of you. Crepus was the one who answered the door, and he invited you in for some tea and something to eat, since it was lunch. You accepted, hanging the coat on the coat rack and taking a seat at the table in the dining room. A few minutes later, Crepus brought out the teapot and poured you a cup of tea, setting it in front of you along with a few various sweets on a plate as well. “They’re from Good Hunter, in case you were curious. Apparently, they have a dessert menu.” He said, taking a sip from his own cup as you put a cube of sugar in your tea and stirred it to mix it. “So, if I may ask, why did you have Diluc’s jacket with you?” He asked, a smug grin on his face as he spoke. “It’s not like how you’re thinking. We went to Dragonspine yesterday, and we got done with the commission pretty late in the evening. It was cold, so he gave me his jacket.” You explained, trying to hide the red that dusted your cheeks as you took a sudden interest in the teacup in front of you. “You know, you may think you’re good at it, but you’re horrifically bad at hiding your feelings about people.” He said, taking another sip. “Gee, thanks.” You said sarcastically. He laughed. “Don’t be embarrassed, it’s perfectly normal to be like this when you catch feelings for someone, take it from someone with experience in that matter.” He said, ruffling your hair and setting down his tea cup. He walked off and went to his office, inviting you to stay for dinner at the winery. You decided to take him up on the offer, and sat in the living area of the winery while waiting for the sun to set. You were drawing in your sketchbook when the front door to the winery opened, revealing Diluc and Kaeya.

Kaeya hung his jacket next to Diluc’s, noticing that it was there almost immediately. “Keep it with you next time, you might just need it.” He said, handing it to Diluc. He noticed you in one of the chairs at the dining table the moment he walked into the dining room. “Oh, (Y/N), what are you doing here?” He asked. “I came here to return your jacket, and your father invited me to stay for dinner.” You explained, fiddling with your shirt sleeve. He nodded, taking a seat across from you. The room was awkwardly silent, and you didn't know what to talk about. Diluc coughed. "So, Weinlesefest is next week, are you also helping to set up for it?" he asked. You were thankful for the opening, and nodded. "Yeah, I help set it up and take it down every year." you said, noticing how the awkward tension still lingered. Diluc tensed up slightly, looking to the side, before remembering something. "Oh, yeah, thanks for returning my coat. I forgot that I gave it to you, and assumed that I just lost it." he said, causing you to nod. You were thankful for the fact that Kaeya came back down the stairs and sat next to Diluc, alleviating some of the tension. "Wow, who died in here? Why are the two of you so tense?" he asked, smiling over at you. "Oh, it's just been a long day and I can't really think of anything to talk about." you said, hiding your face in your hands. Crepus joined the three of you shortly after, sitting beside you. "So, how have you been? It's been a while since I last saw you." he asked, looking over at you. "I've been well, although the preparations on the Knights' part have been unfortunately delayed because of the fact that my father is sick." you said. "Really? I saw him at work today." Diluc said. You looked over at him with wide eyes as your face paled. "Are you ok?" he asked. "He fainted yesterday and he was burning up, there's no way he was at work today." you said. "I can ask if he's alright when I see him for night patrol if you want." he offered. "It's fine, I'm going back after this, anyway, I'll tell him to get some rest when I see him then." you said, pinching the bridge of your nose. "You know he works so hard because he wants to make sure he can keep Mondstadt safe, right?" Crepus asked, causing you to nod. "Yeah, I know. I just wish he'd take care of himself and not go into work while he's sick." you said. "Try telling that to this one." Kaeya said, pointing a thumb at Diluc. You looked over at him. "Ok, that was one time, and I didn't even know if I was sick or if it was just really hot that day." he said. "Yeah, sure, anyways, he had a high fever and he felt light headed for the rest of the week because of that, by the way." Kaeya continued. You were about to say something when Adelinde set the food on the table, nodding before leaving the room once again. The four of you ate in relative silence, with a few words being exchanged between the four of you. You got up and started to take the plate to the kitchen when Crepus asked what you were doing. "Taking my dish to the kitchen to clean it." you said, grabbing your cup and taking it with you. You washed and dried the plate and the cup, setting them beside the sink. You turned around and saw Adelinde, who was staring at you. "What is it? Also do you know where the plates and cups go?" you asked. "Nothing and here, I'll take them." she said, picking them up and putting them away, before looking back at you. "Yeah, you're a good one." she said, smiling softly. "What do you mean by that?" you asked. She shook her head. "You'll just have to find out, won't you?" she said, ushering you back to the table. You sat back down and nodded curtly, suddenly becoming interested in the table. "Well now, Adelinde, thank you, it was wonderful as always, and thanks for getting the dishes." Crepus said, causing her to nod. "Of course." she said, stacking the plates and cups. "Heading out already then?" he asked Diluc, who was buttoning up his jacket. "Yes, I'm walking them back now. I might as well, since my shift starts in about an hour." he said, opening the door.

You both left and walked in relative silence, admiring the scenery of the winery around you. You were confused by Adelinde's words to you earlier in the kitchen, but brushed it off and sighed. You heard noises in the bushes, and instinctively grabbed onto Diluc's arm. He went tense almost immediately, looking down at you as his face heated up. He was never more thankful for the cover of night than he was now. "Did you hear something?" he asked, drawing your attention back to him. You noticed that you were still clinging onto his arm, and immediately let go of him, apologizing. "Sorry, I thought someone was watching us, and when I heard something in the bushes, I just kinda acted on instinct." you mumbled, causing him to chuckle softly. "It's fine, I know you didn't mean to." he said, putting a hand on your shoulder. You sighed, continuing to walk with him until you got to the city gates. The moment you saw Varka, you stormed over to him. "Oh boy, here we go." Diluc muttered under his breath. "Sir Diluc, is everything alright?" Swan asked, looking at him. "Yeah, everything's fine, I'm just watching (Y/N) yell at Grandmaster Varka for not calling out sick today." he said, watching concernedly as you did so. He felt a sort of pang in his chest, and suddenly wished that you would worry about him like that. He shook his head, walking up and telling you goodbye for the evening as he went to get ready for his shift. "And you should- oh, goodnight, Diluc, be safe out there." you said, before going back to speaking to your father. Varka's gaze followed him as he left, before returning to you. "What is it?" you asked, slightly annoyed that he wasn't fully listening to you. "Did Diluc walk you back here?" he asked, his expression one of surprise, before morphing into a smirk. "It's not like that." you said. "And yet something in your tone says that you wish it was." he said, causing your face to redden. "Please stop." you mumbled. "Come on, tell me, what did it for you? Is it the way he treats you? Is it his looks? He is the best bachelor in Mondstadt, you know." he said, elbowing you lightly. Meanwhile, your face kept getting redder and redder. "Stop it." you said, hiding your face in your hands yet again. "Alright, I'll stop, but you should tell him. Like I said, there are plenty who want his hand in marriage, you don't want to lose your chance to tell him because you're nervous." he said, smiling as you nodded. "Wait, I'm not done telling you off. Go home, there's no way you aren't still sick." you scolded, watching as he shrugged his shoulders and nodded, leaving to go home. You, meanwhile, had some emotions and thoughts to sort out with a certain someone the next time you saw him.

When Diluc got home that evening, his father was in his office when he saw him. "Hey, (Y/N) left their sketchbook here. Can you take it back to them tomorrow?" he asked, causing him to nod. "Yeah, I will." he said, his face reddening at the mention of your name. He took the sketchbook and stood there, holding it in his hand and looking at his father. "Is something wrong?" Crepus asked, looking up at him. Diluc shook his head, frowning, before he spoke. "Actually, can I ask you something?" he asked, closing the office door behind him. "Sure, go ahead." he replied, continuing to sign documents. "When you said that you fell first for mother, did you know when it happened? Could you tell that you were in love with her?" Diluc asked, looking at him. Crepus' hand stilled on the paper, and his eyes shot up to look at Diluc. He slowly cleaned his pen and put it away, his owlish gaze locked on him. "You like (Y/N), don't you?" he asked, looking at him. "Yeah, I just didn't really know until now." he confessed, his face flushing at the thought of telling you how he felt. "Have you told them?" Crepus asked. Diluc shook his head vigorously. "I don't know how to tell them. Did you see how I was at dinner? I was an awkward mess. They probably think I'm an idiot." he said, looking at him. Crepus motioned for him to calm down. "Relax, it's ok to be nervous. Do you think I was any different when I told your mother I had feelings for her?" he asked, shaking his head and chuckling softly. He hummed, thinking, before looking back at him. "Well, Weinlesefest is coming up, so why don't you make them dinner? Starsnatch Cliff is a good place to go for a picnic, you know. And it's far away from the city in case things... escalate." he said, watching as Diluc glared at him. He laughed. "Come on, that was funny. Besides, that's where your mother and I went on our first date, and look, we have you and Kaeya now, even if she never got to see Kaeya, but we still had you, didn't we? So I'd say that that date went rather well if she was willing to put up with more dates with me and marriage on top of that." he said, his gaze falling to the ring on his finger that sat behind a diamond encrusted wedding band, the one that Crepus' wife had worn since the moment he put it on her finger, and until the day she died. "Your mother and I were happy together, I want you to feel the same way with whoever you choose to be with that I did with her." he said, looking up at Diluc. Tears stung at the corners of Diluc's eyes, and he nodded wordlessly. Crepus got up and ruffled his hair, before hugging him tightly. "Now then, we should prepare, since setting it all up is going to take some time, something we don't have much of, and you still have to help out with setting up for Weinlesefest with the Knights of Favonius on top of that." he said, causing Diluc to nod. With that, the two started planning what to do when the time came.

Diluc remembered the entirety of that year's Weinlesefest like it was yesterday. You carried a few boxes of supplies to Springvale, putting them down near where the Knights of Favonius were setting up their stall. You turned around and came face to face with Diluc, who was smiling at you. "Are you alright? You seem a bit out of breath." he commented. "Nothing I can't handle. I carry heavy stuff all the time during commissions, I've just been doing it for two and a half hours, and it's starting to take its toll." you said, laughing. Archons, he loved your laugh. The outfit you were wearing complimented your hair and your eyes perfectly, and his gaze couldn't help but linger on you for a minute before he spoke. "I was wondering if maybe, after this, you wanted to join me for dinner. I planned a picnic for me and Kaeya, since we don't really get to see each other that often other than when our shifts end, but he wanted to enjoy the festival, so I have enough food for the both of us." he said, smiling softly. You gave him a smile of your own. "Of course, I would love to." you replied, before going back to helping out with the tent for the stall.

He thought that the time to stop working for the day would never come, and worked rather slowly, but everything was finished by the time the sun had barely started to set. He walked over to you while you were conversing with Varka, clearing his throat. "Hey, are you ready?" he asked, holding out a hand to you. Varka stared over at him, confused, and then looked at you. "He invited me to a picnic at Starsnatch Cliff." you explained quickly, before taking his hand and letting him lead the way.

The sun was just meeting the horizon when the two of you arrived at Starsnatch Cliff, overlooking the Archipelago and the sea. "It's beautiful at this part of the cliffs, I swear it gets prettier every time I see it." you said, gazing out at the ocean. You thought that Diluc was looking at the ocean with you, but when you turned to look at him, you saw a bouquet of Cecilias in his hands. He handed them to you as he spoke. "In all honesty, I was somewhat untruthful when I told you the reason I had enough food for both of us. Kaeya never actually knew I was planning a picnic, I was just looking for an excuse to speak to you alone." he said, his face flushing slightly. "Diluc..." Could this really be happening right now? He wasn't confessing to you, there was no way he was, right? He set the plates down on the blanket and gave you your share of the food. "Why did you want to speak to me alone? We could have talked down there." you said, but he shook his head. "No, we couldn't have. Your father would have interrupted, or mine would've. I wanted this to be special, even if your answer isn't what I hope it is." Diluc took off his gloves and held your hands gently in his own. "I- Archons, where do I even begin?" He smiled softly, sighing. "I don't know how, but I've fallen hopelessly, completely in love with you." he said, kissing your knuckles gently. "I don't really know how to put it into words, but I do know that you're the only one who makes me feel so weightless and happy like this just by being around me. I understand if you don't feel the same, and I will not force you to say that you do, but I wanted you to know how I felt." he said, letting your hands fall back onto your lap. When he looked up at you, he saw that your face was completely red, but you didn't hide it in your hands like you usually did. Instead, you grabbed his hands and interlaced your fingers with his. You got closer to him and pressed your forehead against his, cupping his face in your free hand. "You moron, why didn't you tell me sooner?" you asked, giggling softly. "I only recently realized what exactly it was that I was feeling, to be honest." he replied, wrapping you up in his arms, the food having been long forgotten and cold beside the two of you as he held you in his arms. Your eyes caught the last few rays of sunlight as they faded over the horizon, giving them an enchanting glow of sorts as you spoke.

"Kiss me, Diluc Ragnvindr." you whispered, looking up at him as his eyes went wide. He didn't waste a second, and slowly pressed his lips against yours. Your eyes slipped closed, his doing the same, and you gently held his face in your hands. "And to answer your confession, in case it wasn't clear by now, I love you too, Diluc." you said, leaning in and kissing him again. Needless to say, your and Diluc's absence from the festivities was to be expected, and it wasn't very surprising when Diluc came back at the ungodly hour of midnight and had you with him, asking Crepus if you could stay in the guest room. "Fine, but they stay in that guest room until the sun rises or Kaeya's awake, got it?" he asked, causing your face to redden. "I was going to, but may I ask why you're saying this?" you asked. "You two spent a while up at Starsnatch Cliff." he said, smirking. "Oh, very funny, we didn't do anything like that." you said, crossing your arms. "Just making sure." he said, holding his arms up. You did not, in fact, stay in that guest room, and when Crepus checked early the next morning, he sighed, smiling when he saw you asleep in Diluc's arms. He decided to let the two of you sleep for a little longer, since Diluc didn't have work today, anyway.

Another memory Diluc loved recalling was a few years later, he was just shy of turning eighteen, when he proposed to you. He proposed to you at Starsnatch Cliff, the location of your first date with him and where he had confessed to you years ago. He knew the two of you were still very young then, but he loved you, and you loved him dearly. Of course, Varka had his own qualms about you marrying Diluc, but Crepus eased his worries when he spoke about how you would be welcome to choose to stay in the city or at Dawn Winery, and would still be accepted with open arms in either place, which made him feel better. He agreed on the condition that Diluc promised to protect you, a condition he agreed to immediately. The ceremony was short, but the party at the Angel's Share was quite a long one, filled with drinking and congratulations to Diluc from plenty of his friends and his family. You had agreed to move into the Dawn Winery, something that your father couldn't exactly fault you for, but this time, Adelinde welcomed you to help her with dinner and with cleanup, making your transition to living there smooth. Diluc felt as though things couldn't be any better than they were now.

The next memory Diluc remembered, and the clearest one of them all, was the day Crepus died. You were the first to arrive, having ditched a commission the second one of the Knights told you the news. He remembered you holding him in your arms like he'd break, crying with him as he hid his face in your neck. He remembered you taking his side when Eroch tried to get him to cover up the matter, your rage almost matching his. You refused to help or let any of the other Knights cover up the truth behind Crepus' death. In fact, you told everyone who asked you what actually happened, and although they were confused, the news of Crepus' death and what he did to Ursa the Drake caused quite a bit of unrest and contempt toward the Knights of Favonius, namely, of course, Eroch, for trying to cover the matter up.

It got worse from there, of course it did. Kaeya came to Diluc that evening and told him the truth behind his being in Mondstadt in the first place, and where he was from. You tried to hold him back from hurting him, but Diluc threw you to the ground, and in a moment of desperation to stop Diluc from making an irreversible mistake, a large wave cut between them and knocked them both off of their feet, and they turned to look at you, who now held a glowing Hydro Vision in your hand. "I said cut it out!" you yelled, blocking Diluc's next attack with your sword. You were crying now. You didn't want this, you didn't want things to be like this. You didn't want that unrivaled hatred in his gaze to be directed at you. Without knowing what else to do, you collapsed into a sobbing heap on the muddy ground. Kaeya ran off, leaving you alone with him. Realizing that he almost hurt you, he immediately fell to his knees and wrapped you up in his arms, tears of his own streaking down his face. "I'm so sorry, I didn't... I wasn't going to..." but he didn't know what to say. He could only hold you as you cried, and cried, and cried in his arms.

The next thing he remembered was leaving you to go look for people with answers to where the weapon he used came from. You were begging him not to go, not to leave you, but he'd already made up his mind. Just as he was getting ready to walk out the door, you spun him around, grabbing him by the collar and slamming your lips against his, pouring your emotions into kissing him. You pulled away and sighed, tears welling up in your eyes as you spoke. "Please come back to me. I can't handle losing anyone else, please." you begged, before letting go of his jacket and watching him disappear past Stone Gate. You remember crying until you passed out that night. That, and you remembered the crushing feeling of loneliness that filled your chest and pressed against your lungs, making it hard to breathe sometimes whenever your heart felt particularly heavy at the thought that you may never see him again.

He came back, three long years later, but he wasn't the same as when he left. His body was now littered with scars that traveled up and down his body, but not a single one was on his face, he made sure of that. Eroch had been caught as the mole in the Knights of Favonius, and he had been punished accordingly by Jean. Varka had left on an expedition to Snezhnaya with Seneschal Seamus of the Mondstadt Cathedral and a majority of the Cavalry, too. Kaeya had taken over as Cavalry Captain, despite there being no Cavalry to, you know, captain, but he did make short work of doing the paperwork that came with the position. He held no animosity toward you, and spoke to you the same way he had before. It was Diluc who had changed, and you were worried that he didn't love you anymore. However, he proved it to you the night he returned, he proved that his heart, guarded as it was, belonged to you only.

The next thing Diluc remembered was that night, when you begged him to give you all of him. You didn't hate his flaws, or despise the way he didn't smile or talk as much anymore around everyone else like he used to. No, you loved and embraced him as he was, pulling him closer as your need for him became clear. "Please, it's been so long since I saw you last. Please, prove that it's really you, I'm so tired of my mind playing tricks on me." you whispered, tears rolling down your cheeks as you spoke. You covered your eyes with your forearm, before feeling him pull it away from your face as he kissed you, gently wiping away your tears. "Please," you kept whispering, breathless as he kissed you over, and over, and over again. His lips trailed down to your neck as he gently tugged at the hem of your nightshirt, pulling it over your head and undressing himself. He put his jacket on the coat rack by the door, before unbuttoning his shirt and undoing his pants. He pulled off any clothing he still had on, pulling his unruly red hair out of its ponytail. Diluc then rejoined you under the covers, helping you undress completely. “May I?” He asked, making sure you were comfortable with what he was doing. He didn’t want to end up doing something you didn’t like. You nodded, your face heating up at the gentle tone of his voice. His hands roamed your body, memorizing every curve and edge you had, before his hand dipped down between your legs. He used his fingers, thick and calloused, to stretch you and prepare you to take him. He didn't want to hurt you during your first time with him, after all. He went slow, dragging his tip over your hole before slowly sliding in, his grasp on your hip tightening to the point where you squirmed under his touch. However, you let yourself relax, and let him take over. At this point, you knew you weren't dreaming, only a real person could make you feel as good as he was making you feel that night. His hips jolted slightly against yours as he pushed himself deeper. You whined softly, rocking your hips against his as he bottomed out deep inside of you. “Tell me when I can move.” He said, looking down at you. At this point, you just needed to be close to him. You pulled him down and kissed him, bucking your hips up against his desperately. You tangled your fingers in his unruly red hair, tugging at it as you moaned into the kiss. You held onto him tightly as he started to move, your nails scratching up and down his back, leaving little red lines in their wake. He didn’t care, so long as you stayed just like this with him. He hit deep, his thrusts slow but hard as he looked down at you. He couldn’t even begin to describe how much he’d missed you, but that was nothing compared to how much you must’ve missed him. He pulled his hips back and snapped them against yours, watching as your eyes rolled back a little and you moaned loudly. He pressed his forehead against yours as his thrusts slowly gained rhythm, his hips pistoning against yours as he made you into a mess of moans and whimpers. “Ahhn~ feels s’good, ‘Luc- Mng~ r-right there, please!” You could only tighten your grip on him as he sped up, the knot in his lower abdomen getting tighter and tighter the faster he went. However, he refused to finish first, opting instead to make you feel good. “Are you- Ngh~ are you close?” He asked, gently threading his fingers with yours as you squeezed around him tightly, dragging a low groan from him. “Mhmm~ you feel s’good, I can feel you in my tummy.” You slurred, pushing your hips up against his. He twitched inside of you, feeling your tight walls spasm and clench as you got painfully close to your orgasm. “AHh~ Diluc, m’cumming, cumming- ahHng~!” You wailed his name as you came, before feeling him press his hips up against yours as he came. His big warm hands held your thighs as his cum filled you up in thick spurts of white that made you feel so, so full. You clenched around him, milking him for all he was worth, until he finally stopped moving, and curled his body around yours.

He waited a few minutes before slowly pulling out, watching as his cum dribbled out of you. He could only look at you, picking you up and carrying you to the bathroom to clean you up. “You did so good for me, let me take care of you.” He mumbled, running the water to the bath and getting in with you. He grabbed the soap and lathered it all over his hands, rubbing your sore body and massaging your shoulders. You sighed softly, leaning into his gentle touch as he washed you. He took the shampoo and slowly massaged it into your hair, moving on to do the same to his. He then gently washed it out of your hair and his, before grabbing the conditioner and doing the same. After he was done, Diluc started to get out, and told you to stay in the bath, but you grabbed his arm, your eyes trained on him as you spoke. “Don’t go.” You pleaded, your grip tightening as your gaze grew frantic. You were so scared that he was going to disappear again, that you’d never see him again, but he gently took your hands into his and pressed his forehead against yours. You leaned against him, before hearing him speak. “I’m just going to get some towels, I promise. I’ll come back as soon as I get some towels, ok?” He asked, causing you to slowly let go of his hands as you nodded. He quickly went and got the towels as you curled up and wrapped your arms around your knees. When Diluc got back, you calmed down, and let him pick you up. He wrapped you in one of the soft towels and slowly dried you off, before setting you down in the recliner beside the bed. “I’m going to get some new sheets, I’ll be right back.” He said, getting some new sheets after he tied his towel around his waist. He quickly grabbed a set of sheets and went back to the bedroom, quickly changing them. He then pulled back the covers and set you down under them, getting in the bed with you. “Are you ok? Was I too rough?” He asked, looking down at you. You shook your head. “It was wonderful, and don’t worry about me, I’m ok.” You mumbled, pressing yourself against him and wrapping your arms around his neck. You leaned in close to him and kissed him, feeling his arms around your waist as you pulled away. You were exhausted, and fell asleep soon after. Diluc held you close to him and fell asleep soon after, finally home in your arms.

The most recent memory he recalled was when you and him celebrated Weinlesefest together that fall. You and Adelinde had teamed up and made a ploy to get Kaeya to come over for dinner, since he needed to help Razor, anyway. You gladly invited them in, nodding to the Traveler as they explained the situation after Kaeya had had enough of teasing and taunting Diluc. “We have a barrel specially treated for durability, despite its age. Even a flaming flower couldn't leave a scratch on it if you left it right next to it all day.” You said, looking over at Diluc. “I'll go look for it, then.” He said, disappearing down the hall to the storage room. You turned and looked at Kaeya, opening your arms wide. “Come on, bring it in, it’s been a while.” You said, hugging him tightly. “That it certainly has. How have you been?” He asked, watching as you smiled softly. “I’m just happy that he’s here to stay, although I do wish he’d make an effort to try and get along with you. He may not show it, but he does care about you, Kaeya.” You said, turning to face him. “Well, when he stops being such a stiff all the time, I’ll-” “You also need to make an effort to forgive him for his brash actions that night. You know better than anyone how he gets when he’s angry. Not even I know the full extent of that anger.” You said, sighing deeply. “I also wish he’d spend a little more time with me over the holidays, but he’s so busy all the time, and I don’t have the heart to interrupt him when he’s working.” You said, crestfallen. “If you really care about him, you’ll tell him to rest for a bit. At this rate, he might just work himself to death.” He said, looking at you as your face paled. “I’d prefer it if he were alive and well, instead of meeting the same fate that father met.” He said, watching as you nodded softly. “I’ll tell him then.” You said. Diluc emerged from the wine cellar with a small barrel in his hands, setting it on the counter. "I did some digging, and found this one. Do you think that it's big enough for your friend?" he asked, looking at the Traveler. They nodded, taking the barrel. Diluc's eyes wandered to the clock, where he saw that it was almost seven in the evening. "Oh, it's almost dinnertime, would you care to stay for a meal?" he asked, looking at the Traveler and Paimon. "How time flies, I'll be on my way then." Kaeya said, waving and turning slightly to leave. You shook your head, pinching the bridge of your nose as you muttered a soft "coward" under your breath. Adelinde was the one to stop him. "How did you put it? Right, "taking a trip home is a custom during the festival season, celebrated by all cultures of Teyvat." Since even Master Diluc has risen an offer, are you quite sure you can't stay for dinner?" she asked. Kaeya glanced over at you, who simply smiled at him, nodding softly. However, he was a bit hesitant. "I couldn't possibly. I wouldn't want to trouble you, Adelinde." he said, scratching the back of his head. However, she persisted. "How often is it that I get to indulge you, Master Kaeya? Tea for the Cavalry Captain when you visit for business reasons doesn't count. I only get to spoil you if you let me cook for you." Adelinde said, a warm smile on her face. "Oh, uh..." Kaeya couldn't make a comeback, nor could he particularly disagree with her. She was right, it had been a while since he last visited. Diluc saw the opportunity to get back at him. "What happened to your swagger? Lost for words?" he asked, sarcasm lacing his voice. "Diluc, you..." he sighed. "Surely you wouldn't dream of disappointing Adelinde, would you?" he asked. "It would be fun with you here." the Traveler said. "Very well then, Adelinde, one more set of cutlery, please, if you'd be so kind." he said, causing her to nod.

The meal went smoothly, with you sitting next to Diluc and looking at Kaeya. He kept taunting and teasing Diluc, so you decided to intervene. You all but slammed your palms against the tabletop. "Traveler, have I told you about the time when Kaeya got stuck in the tree in Windrise?" you asked, causing him to stare at you. "(Y/N), I thought-" "Ah, you did think I'd keep it a secret, but since you've told quite a few embarrassing stories about Diluc, I think that one embarrassing story about you is only fair, right?" you asked, causing him to sigh, resting his face in his palms. "And elbows off the table, it's not polite." you scolded, causing him to begrudgingly oblige. You watched his face turn redder and redder as you kept recounting the embarrassing memory for him, while the Traveler and Paimon laughed at the funny story.

Once Kaeya left, and you and Diluc said goodbye to the Traveler and Paimon after dinner, you turned and looked at him. "It's not much, but it is progress." you muttered, causing him to look at you. "What?" he asked, confused. "I said that it's not much, but it's progress. You didn't kick him out when he got here, and you invited him to stay for dinner. You also didn't say that the Winery wasn't his home like the other years, so yeah, it's progress." you said, looking down at your Vision. Diluc noticed where you were looking, and got up before pulling you into a tight hug. You rested your head against his shoulder. Adelinde happened to be walking back out to finish getting the dishes and saw the two of you. "Shall I prepare a second set of sheets for tonight, or did you want to do that?" she asked, giving you a knowing look. You hid your face in your hands as she laughed. "Only kidding, but I should get back home. Good night, Master Diluc, and to you as well, (Y/N)." she said, grabbing her things and leaving for the night. Elzer had left by now, having decided to walk Moco and Hillie back to their homes, which left the two of you alone. "Hey, can I talk to you about something?" you asked, causing him to pull back slightly before nodding. "Sure, what is it?" he asked, a worried look on his face as he spoke. You shook your head, leading him upstairs to your shared bedroom. The two of you got ready for bed in relative silence, with few words being exchanged between the two of you before you both settled down in bed for the night. After you were sure he was comfortable, you spoke. "I know you tend to bury yourself in your work, but you've been pulling all-nighters a lot lately, and I'm starting to get worried about you." you muttered, your eyes meeting his. He looked away. "You shouldn't worry about me." he said, causing you to stare him down. "Diluc, as selfish as I am, I really should." you said. "You're not selfish, what do you mean?" he asked. You kissed him, before pressing your forehead against his. "Oh, but I am. I'm so selfish when it comes to you. Your time, your attention, your love, I'm selfish for those things, and yet I never seem to get them. You're always so busy, and I never really see you anymore, but I wish I did, so yeah, I'm selfish, Diluc. The more you stay away and stay out late and shut yourself away in your office, the more selfish I become." you said, cupping his face in your hands. "There are so many desires I've let go unfulfilled for the past few years because you've been so busy." you whispered, tears welling up in your eyes. "Like what? There's no reason to cry like this." he said, thumbing away your tears gently. He sighed deeply. "I want to know what those desires of yours are, because if I can't even fulfill those desires, then what's to say that I will ever be able to in the future?" he asked, an encouraging smile on his face as he looked down at you. You took a deep breath, letting your mind wander as you spoke.

"I want to travel all over Teyvat with you. I want to see the Seven Nations in their entirety, excluding Snezhnaya, of course, with you. I want to see the Thunder Sakura trees in Inazuma with you, and I want to go to the deserts of Sumeru and look at the ancient ruins there with you. I want to see the festivals each and every nation celebrates outside of just Mondstadt and Liyue, and I want to see them with you. I want to see the tall cliffs of The Chasm, and I want to see every mountain in Liyue with you. I want to see Watatsumi Island in Inazuma, and the Avidya Forest in Sumeru, but not if I'm not there with you." you said, leaning against him. "Is there anything else?" he asked, looking down at you as tears started welling up in his eyes. "When we finally stop traveling Teyvat, I want to come back here and stay for good. I want us to start a family of our own and have children of our own, regardless of whether they're adopted or ours. I want to watch them grow up and then spend the rest of my life with you here when they move away and go on their own adventures. I want to do it all with you." you whispered, looking up at him with so much love and adoration that it almost made him breathless. "I love you so very much, Diluc Ragnvindr, and I'm so selfish when it comes to you. I know those adventures will take us who knows where and Celestia knows how long, but I want so badly to see those places with you instead of reading about them in a book while I wait for you alone at night. It's so dreadfully lonely without you here by my side, and I love you so much." you said. When he didn't say anything, you thought he wasn't really listening, but the moment he leaned closer and spoke, you knew he heard you. "Then why don't we start planning those adventures this week? You've been there for me for years, even when I wasn't there for you when I should've been. I want to make it up to you, even if I have to spend the rest of my life doing so. I love you too much to put it into words and have them do my feelings justice, but you've always been so patient with me. You didn't hate me or resent me when I left you here alone to go find answers about a weapon that I should have known more about in the first place. You've been patient with me every day whenever I've had a long day and want to be alone, despite what you just told me. You're not the selfish one, I am." he said, causing you to smile softly. "Then why don't we be selfish for one another together?" you asked, causing him to nod. "I think I know what Adelinde meant when she said that I was a good one." you said, looking down into his crimson eyes. "What do you mean?" he asked. "When she said I was a good one that night your father invited me to stay for dinner, when I returned your coat after you left it with me. She said as I was putting my plate in the sink that I was a good one. I didn't know what that meant then, but I do now." you said, looking at him. "What did she mean?" he asked, already knowing the answer. "She knew I was in love with you then, but she chose to keep it mostly to herself." you said, pinning him down by his wrists. "Oh, speaking of returning things, I never gave you this back, mainly because I forgot, but also because I didn't know that I was your source of inspiration most of the time." he said, pushing himself up onto his forearms and holding you as he rummaged through his nightstand drawer. His hand met leather and he knew what it was before he pulled it out of the drawer. He handed you your sketchbook, smiling as you looked over your old drawings of him. "They look almost nothing like my style now." you said, causing him to chuckle softly. "That just means your style has improved." you heard him say. "Yeah, it has." you smiled fondly at the drawings, before looking back and kissing him. "I meant those things I said earlier, by the way. I want to start those travels as far away from here as possible, so that we can end up right back where we started." you said, letting his hands gently grasp yours. "Inazuma then?" he asked, causing you to nod.

The two of you talked until the moon hung in the middle of the night sky, signaling that it was midnight. You, however, didn't care how late it was, and talked until your sentences were slurred by drowsiness. You fell asleep against his chest as he gazed down at you, a smile on his face as he felt true peace for the first time in what felt like a long, long time.

No matter where these adventures would take the two of you, home for you both was in each other's arms, and neither of you would have it any other way.

Reader can’t say it because of how overwhelmed she is), rough sex, sappy feelings n’ shit, Alhaitham being the mean dom we all know he is but then being a big softie toward the end

NSFW, minors DNI, by scrolling further past this point, you have chosen to read the content below of your own accord!

You were a very bubbly and chatty individual, always willing to talk with people whenever you had the chance, and a stark contrast to your boyfriend. However, what truly drew Alhaitham to you at first was the way you handled things. You always took great care to plan ahead when doing things, and rarely cowered away in fear from any sort of intimidating situation because of said planning. However, when he got into a relationship with you, and more specifically, started getting intimate with you, he found that the one thing that truly terrified you was not having any way of knowing how to plan for things ahead of time.

You had been talking to Kaveh almost the entire evening at the bar, not paying Alhaitham any attention whatsoever. Since his roommate was spending the night in Ghandarvaville, he had you all to himself, and there was something he’d been wanting to try for a while now. In your eyes, sex was the ultimate show of love that anyone could give their significant other. However, there were times when your dear lover saw it as a stress reliever. That was what scared you, him seeing something so important to you as another tool to use to make his life easier and less stressful. You’d never told him how much it meant to you, but he had a small inkling that you liked more vanilla things in the bedroom than him. However, you agreed to try everything he suggested at least once, and unfortunately, tonight was another experimental night in the sheets. It didn’t help that he was annoyed at his roommate for taking all of your attention tonight, which also made him annoyed with you, which in turn added to his foul mood and therefore his stress and anger. The walk home was silent, with him tightly holding your hand the entire way back to his place. You gave his hand a gentle squeeze, trying to reassure him that you had eyes for him only, but instead of squeezing it back, he started walking faster.

You knew that tonight was going to be a long one when he told you to go up to his room. The moment you’d disappeared upstairs and closed the door, he grabbed the bag he’d gotten earlier that month when he’d traveled to Inazuma. He took out the teal silk rope and the matching silk blindfold from the bag, looking at the stairs. Shibari, which originated in Inazuma, was an activity that was a type of bondage, but could also serve as art, depending on the mood of the situation it was used in. Alhaitham had extensively researched it once the silk ropes had arrived from Liyue. As for the blindfold, he’d be using that on you as well tonight. He had memorized how to tie the knots using the rope, and he certainly knew how to tie a blindfold to where it wouldn’t fall off. He’d always wanted to try sensory deprivation on your sight, since he’d already done so with your hearing using his headphones. Since it had been so well received, and had left you panting and begging for more even when your legs were shaking, he wanted to try taking one of your other senses, which was, of course, sight.

He walked upstairs and opened the door to his bedroom, noticing how you turned shy under his gaze when you looked at him. “We’re trying something new tonight, two things, in fact. I’ve been researching the art of Shibari over the past few weeks, so I know how to tie the ropes, and I’ll be able to tie the blindfold easily. However, I’m still going to teach you a lesson tonight about paying too much attention to other men like you did at dinner. Get on the bed.” he said, watching as you nervously nodded and got on the bed. He focused on tying the ropes, making sure you couldn’t move when he tied your wrists together. He then gave you one last annoyed look before tying the blindfold over your eyes, knotting it at the back of your head. “Are you uncomfortable anywhere?” he asked, watching as you shook your head. You were much more flinchy now, but in all honesty, it gave him some sort of sick satisfaction that you were nervous. Whenever you were nervous, you didn’t like showing it, so to see you like this was truly a treat in his eyes. He needed to relieve himself of the stress from tonight, and this was the perfect way to do it. Alhaitham leaned in close to you and gently kissed your neck, watching as you shivered. You were speechless, almost as if he’d taken your ability to speak. He chuckled softly, the noise serving to make you shudder as a chill traveled up your spine. He didn’t waste any time on preparing you to take him, you didn’t deserve his touch, tonight. He slowly pulled back the covers and let you get under them, watching as you pressed your legs together and rubbed your thighs together to get some sort of friction. He slowly undressed and let his clothes drop to the floor, before getting in the bed under you. “Tonight, you’re going to be on top, and you’re going to ride me until I tell you that you can stop, understood?” he asked, watching as you nodded. “Lift your hips.” he demanded, watching as you did so. He grabbed his leaking cock and slowly lined it up with your slit, pushing himself inside. You couldn’t help but whine softly as he held you there, with only the tip inside. You were about to ask him to move, but cried out loudly when he fully sheathed himself inside of you with one harsh thrust, squirming on his lap. “I think I like you like this. You keep that mouth of yours mostly shut. It’s nice to get a break from your constant remarks every so often. We should do this more frequently.” he sneered, too busy mocking you to notice the fact that there were slightly damp spots where your eyes were on the blindfold. You couldn’t handle the intensity of it all very well, or the fact that you couldn’t move all that much. Sure, depriving you of the ability to hear like last time was a new and exhilarating experience, and left you both breathless by the time that evening was over, but being deprived of the ability to see wasn’t. It felt wrong, vicious, and much crueler than jealous sex with him usually felt. Your sense of touch was enhanced to an overwhelming degree, and you couldn’t help but occasionally shy away from his touch when he tried to give it.

He noticed that you didn’t want his hands on you, and smirked up at you. It was as if you felt his gaze on you, because when you tried to get him to hold your hips still, he didn’t, and put his hands behind his head. “You don’t want me to touch you? Fine, but I’m not helping you ride me if you’re gonna be a brat, sweetheart.” he said, watching as you kept pathetically trying to get him off. He thrust his hips up against yours every so often, watching you make those pretty little moans he loved hearing. Eventually, you mustered up enough courage to speak. “Haitham, m’close, m’so close. Please, m’gonna-” You didn’t have time to finish speaking as he grabbed your chin roughly and leaned in close to your ear. “You don’t cum until I say you can, this is what you get for talking so much all the time.” he hissed, roughly letting go of you. He kept thrusting, knowing that you wouldn’t last much longer. He wanted you to cum first, just so that he could punish you further. “Ngh~ Haitham, please, lemme cum! Please just lemme- AhHng~!” you didn’t even get to finish begging when your orgasm hit you full force, pleasure wracking your body as you squirted all over his lap. The moment you realized what you did, you were too late to apologize, as he pulled out and flipped you over, before sliding right back into you. You gasped softly, before yelping against the sheets as his palm made contact with your bare ass. You tried to ride out your high, but he pulled out completely, ruining your orgasm. It was getting to be too much, but you once again felt like you couldn’t speak, and could only lay there and take it until he was done.

When he came inside of you for the second time as he took you from behind, Alhaitham looked down at you and smirked, leaning in close to your ear as he spoke. “See? I told you not to cum without permission. Perhaps if you’d listened, I wouldn’t have had to punish you like this.” he hissed, before forcing you to ride him again. You were too sensitive, it was too much, but he didn’t see that. He didn’t see the trembling of your lip, or the way you flinched a little when his hands made contact with your hips. He also didn’t see what you were thinking as he kept bouncing you on his lap. You could only barely hold back your sobs as he continued fucking you roughly.

Does he really not like it when I talk?

Do I talk too much?

Should I just stop talking whenever he’s around?

It was those thoughts that kept you quiet, kept you from doing anything other than panting heavily. The moment you started holding back your moans, Alhaitham looked up at you. “What’s the matter, can’t speak? What happened to your bite, hmm?” he mocked. “Go ahead, make as much noise as you want.” he taunted. However, the moment you removed your hands from your mouth, a loud, desperate sob escaped your lips, causing you to cover your mouth again. That made him do a double take, and that was when he noticed all of those little things. You trembled as another orgasm hit, the damp spots on the blindfold being hit with fresh tears as you tried to keep quiet on his lap. You were about to try stuttering out an apology, but stopped midway through that attempt, and settled for collapsing against his chest in a whimpering, sobbing heap. You tried to get up, but he held you down against his chest as your orgasm washed over you in waves. You could only tremble against his chest as he quickly untied the ropes, getting them off of your body. He was hesitant to remove the blindfold, but when he did, you slowly opened your eyes and wrapped your arms tightly around him. He could tell that you were feeling overwhelmed, and slowly rocked his hips against yours to get you through your high. The sensations had been too much for you, and he could tell now. He mentally slapped himself for not being more attentive, and now focused on bringing you back down from the intense high you were going through.

His eyes were wide as panic rose in his chest, and he couldn’t help but try to whisper sweet nothings in your ears as he brought you back down. “Shh, relax, just relax, sweetheart, I’ve got you.” he whispered, his tone a much gentler contrast to the harsh one he used when he was speaking to you earlier. You slowly nodded along to what he was saying, not really catching any of the words coming out of his mouth. The slight rasp of his baritone voice soothed your mind, and calmed your racing thoughts. His soft, soothing voice made you feel every pleasant emotion you could feel in that moment, but above all else, it made you feel safe. Once you’d come down from your high, you looked up at him and focused as hard as you could on what he was saying. “Do you want me to pull out?” he asked, watching as you nodded slowly. He withdrew his hips slowly, letting you lay down against his chest. He didn’t care right now that you’d made a mess of the sheets, the only thing that he was paying attention to at the moment was how you were feeling. He gave you a few more minutes to make sure you were, at the very least, somewhat lucid, before he started speaking, cupping your face in his hands. He knew you were still feeling very overwhelmed, so he asked simple questions first.

“Are you ok?” he asked, watching as you shook your head. “Was it too much?” he asked, causing you to nod. You laid your head against his chest. “Do you want me to clean you up?” he asked softly, pressing his forehead against yours. “Mhmm~” you hummed, sighing when he picked you up and carried you to the bathroom. He handled you like glass, almost as if you’d shatter from being set down on the edge of the bath. He still set you down, and turned on the faucet to the bathtub. The sound of the water was enough to make you cover your ears, your senses still kicked into overdrive thanks to the blindfold. Alhaitham noticed this, and ran back into the bedroom, where he grabbed his soundproof ear pieces, letting you wear them when he came back. Your shoulders slouched and you relaxed, slowly calming down again. Once the bathtub was full, he slowly removed the ear pieces from your ears and put them back in the bedroom. He then slowly picked you up and set you down in the bath, looking at you from the rim of the bath. “Do you want some water? Something to eat, maybe?” he asked, keeping his voice low so as not to overload your senses again. You looked up at him and nodded. “Both?” he asked, watching as you nodded again. “Does Tachin sound good?” he asked. “Yeah.” you muttered, not quite meeting his gaze. The fact that you were still reeling from everything didn’t surprise him, which is why he was taking care of you. “Alright, I’ll let you have some space for now while I go make the food, alright? If you need anything else, shout for me, and I’ll be here, ok?” he asked, taking your hands into his as he spoke, kneeling beside the bathtub. You nodded, reluctantly letting go of his hands and leaning back in the bath. “Don’t fall asleep in here, ok? It’s bad for your back and you might slip under the water by accident.” he said, causing you to nod.

Alhaitham exited the bathroom and looked back at the door, before throwing on a shirt and his underwear and walking downstairs. He quickly grabbed the ingredients and made some Tachin for the two of you. He knew you liked it because of how sweet it tasted, and he’d been marinating the meat he was using for about a day, so he knew it was going to be good once he was done. He cooked it slowly, before walking back upstairs with the plates of Tachin. He saw that you were still awake, and gently tapped your shoulder. “Hmm?” you looked at him. “Do you want me to get in with you for a bit? The food’s still a bit too hot to eat.” he asked, watching as you nodded softly. He took the shirt and his underwear off, throwing them in a quickly forgotten corner of the bathroom. You moved over a bit so that he could get in the water with you, sighing softly as he pulled you backwards into his arms. You looked up at him and saw the worry in his gaze, before reaching up to gently cup his face in your hands. “I’m sorry I didn’t pay more attention to what was going on, it was my idea to use the blindfold and the ropes on you, and I wasn’t thinking things through when I did that. I should have introduced them in moderation.” he muttered, resting his head on your shoulder as he spoke. “I tried to say the safeword, but it was almost like I couldn’t… like I couldn’t…” You were trying to find the right words to describe how you felt. “Couldn’t breathe?” he finished, watching as you nodded. “Can I ask you something, if you don’t mind?” you questioned, looking back up at him. “Anything at all, I’ll try my best to answer,” he replied. “Do you… really not like it when I talk a lot?” you asked, looking to the side. He turned you around and cupped your face in his hands, pressing his forehead against yours. “I love hearing you talk, don’t ever forget that. I don’t know why I said that earlier, I shouldn’t have,” he said. “Can we not use the blindfold and the ropes at the same time again? I didn’t like that at all, and I hated how it made every noise around me sound so… loud. It felt like every noise I heard was inside of my ears when I had that blindfold on, and it stayed that way for several minutes after you took it off.” you said. Alhaitham nodded softly. “Was there anything else that bothered you about tonight?” he asked. “I- yeah, but can we get out of the bath and eat, first? I’d prefer to tell you when we get in the bed, and the water’s starting to get cold. Plus, I’m pretty sure that cold Tachin isn’t really all that tasty.” you said, giggling softly.

He nodded, grabbing the spare set of sheets in the towel closet and making sure that they were on the bed properly before getting some towels and lifting you out of the bath. Alhaitham dried you off and carried you to the bed, setting you down under the covers before drying himself off. He got in bed with you and set a plate of Tachin on your lap, making sure that you had some water first. The sweet taste of the meat and rice, combined with the Padisarah petals he had carefully added, tasted wonderful, and each bite practically melted in your mouth. You hummed softly, turning to your lover and giving him a thumbs up. Once you’d finished the plate of Tachin and downed the glass of water, you leaned back and sighed deeply, looking back over at him. “So, what was the other thing that you didn’t like?” he asked. You gave him a nervous look, and took a deep breath before you started to speak. “You know how I usually only initiate these things when we don’t have anything to do and when we both need to be closer to each other than usual, right?” you asked, causing him to nod. “You know how I told you that I don’t really like super intense sessions like these because of how long we go at it and how rough you get, right?” you asked. Again, he nodded. “That’s because of how much those nights mean to me, you know? I try not to go to you and ask for things like that too often because it feels like it loses meaning if I do go to you too often. I do these things with you because I want to remind you that I love you, and no one else. Whenever you tell me you want to do these things with me, it mostly has to do with relieving stress, and that kinda takes away from why we do it in the first place, in my eyes, you know? I know you get really stressed sometimes, but…” you trailed off, causing him to cup your face in his hands. When you looked up at him again, he saw that you were crying. “I thought you just liked taking things slow, I didn’t know that you felt that way about all of this.” he said, resting your head in the crook of his neck. He held you there for a while, letting you calm down a bit. “But I just… I don’t want to be seen as just a source of stress relief and nothing else, because it hurts, it really hurts.” you whispered, laying down against him. He wrapped his arms around you as the tears fell, thumbing them away gently as he held you there. “I know, sometimes being rough is just what I need, and I know I sound selfish as I’m saying these things, but-” “Don’t… don’t say that, you’re not being selfish by telling me how you feel. If you catch me doing that again, please tell me. There are so many options for alleviating stress, and it’s not like I never had to deal with stress before I started dating you.” he said, giving a small smile before he pressed his lips against yours. You nodded, giving him a smile of your own in return. You yawned as the exhaustion finally caught up with you, and you laid down against Alhaitham’s chest. “I’m exhausted, goodnight, ‘Haitham.” you sleepily mumbled, closing your eyes. Within minutes, you were fast asleep against his chest. He looked down at you for a minute, before pressing his lips against your temple. “Goodnight, (name).” he whispered, closing his eyes and holding you close as he fell asleep as well.

Inteyvat (Dainsleif x fem!reader NSFW)

Notes: I may have enjoyed writing this one just a little too much...

It was rare for Dainsleif to fall asleep and stay asleep for so long, especially when there were matters in dealing with the Abyss Order that he needed to take care of. However, there was also you, his wife, that he needed to take care of, and he’d be damned a second time by Celestia before he let your needs go unfulfilled.

Even if those needs consisted of him making love to you until dawn just to prove that he still loved you.

You woke up slowly next to him in the bed you shared, one arm draped over your waist and the other beneath you. You were one of the few people he had left from his homeland, one of the precious few he could still trust and let his guard down around. You rolled over slowly to face him, being careful not to wake him up. Last night was filled with whispered confessions of love and adoration from both of you as his hips thrusted against yours slowly. You loved him dearly, and always made sure he knew that you cherished him. And even though your usually stoic husband could be a bit distant sometimes, he still reminded you every time that he loved you, whether that be with his words or with his body.

You cupped his face in your hands and gently pressed your lips against his, tangling your legs with his. He stirred slightly before settling down and going still again, causing you to smile. You saw his Abyss stained arm and hand, your own gently making its way up his bicep and to his face. He always looked so beautiful whenever he slept, tangled in the throes of dreams you could only hope were pleasant and peaceful. He rarely had any sort of peace of mind these days, with the Abyss Order constantly being a growing threat to the natural order of Teyvat. You ran your thumb over his cheek, before watching as the eye beside it slowly opened. “Good morning.” You whispered, pressing your lips against the tip of his nose, and then his cheeks, before finally pressing them against his own. He took a deep breath and sighed deeply, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he closed his eye again. “Morning.” He mumbled, his voice still heavy with sleep when he spoke. He reached out and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him as his chest pressed against yours. “Did you sleep well?” He asked, opening his eyes fully this time. “Mhm.” You hummed, watching as he leaned into your hand and relaxed at the feel of your touch. “Did you sleep well?” You asked, your hands making their way downwards to his and intertwining. “I did, surprisingly enough. I haven’t slept this well in… in a long time.” He breathed, his gaze turning from peaceful and content to slightly melancholic. “Hey, what’s wrong?” You asked, starting to get up when the cold air hit your back and made you shiver. You pulled the covers back up to your chin and laid back down, pressing yourself closer to him as his face reddened. “Stars above, it’s freezing!” You hissed, snuggling up to him in an attempt to get some more warmth. Dainsleif splayed his hands against your back, his warm palms giving you some relief from the cold. You sighed as he kissed you, eyes going half lidded as he let his hands wander over your soft skin. He was irresistible when he was like this, needy and craving your touch. It was so easy for you to let your mind wander when mornings like this happened, to think about how those big hands of his could do much more than just hold you. It was so easy to think about all the things those thick fingers of his alone could do to you.

You reached up and tangled your fingers in his soft blond hair, pressing your lips against his. “You mind if we continue from where we left off last night?” You asked. Dainsleif shook his head, before leaning in and gently kissing your neck. You tilted your head to the side to let him access your neck better. He pressed open mouthed kisses against your skin, his hands making their way down to your thighs. You gasped when he spread your legs and looked down at you, pinning them apart with his own as his hand made its way down your body. He gently grabbed your thigh with one of his hands, his blue abyss stained fingers digging into your skin gently to hold you still. The other went lower to your entrance, his thick fingers pressing against your slit as he looked up at your face. You gasped as he slid two fingers inside of you, scissoring them slowly to stretch you. You reached up and fisted the sheets beside your head, moaning softly as he curled his fingers and pushed them deeper. “NgAAh~! Th-there, right there- AhH~!” You cried out as his fingers grazed over your sweet spot, his thumb finding your clit and rubbing hard little circles against your bundle of nerves. “Let go, sweetheart, I’ve got you.” He whispered, moving his hand faster as he leaned in closer to you and pressed his lips against yours. Tears welled up in your eyes as you hovered on the edge of the release you craved, letting go of the sheets in favor of grabbing his broad shoulders. “HnAhhN~! Cumming- Dain~!” You wailed his name as you squirted on his fingers, gasping when he pulled them out.

You were still coming down from your high when you heard a deep chuckle from above you, and looked up to see your husband looking at the mess you made on his hand. “I want to see you do that again~” he said, reaching down and pumping himself a few times with the same hand. He then pulled back a little and slotted his hips against yours, pressing his tip against your slit. Before anything else, he looked back up into your eyes, gently cupping your face in his hands. "May I?" he asked, watching as you nodded quietly. He reached for your thighs and pressed them up against your chest as he slowly slid into you. You clenched around the fat tip of his cock tightly, squeezing around him as he kept pressing into you. The drag of his heavy shaft against the gummy walls of your cunt made you shudder beneath him as he made slow, jerky thrusts into you to fit himself inside of you. “Ngh~ Dain, you’re s’big, mnh~ feels s’good- Ah~” you moaned, digging your nails into his shoulders as he went deeper. Dainsleif pressed his forehead against yours, sighing deeply as he spoke. “I’m almost halfway in now, sweetheart, you’re doing so good.” He whispered, his words serving to make you squeeze tighter around his thick shaft. "Hng~ Relax, or I'll have to go even slower than I am right now." he grunted softly, his hips stalling against yours. you slowly relaxed as he kept going, moaning as he finally bottomed out inside of you. He groaned loudly as your cunt spasmed and squeezed around him while you tried to get used to his size completely. Even now, it was so difficult for you to get used to this feeling after months without it, months without him. He had gone missing in Liyue, when he ran through the portal after that Abyss Herald and the Traveler's sibling. You didn't make it in time to the portal to get through with him, and were left on the other side of the portal with the Traveler and Paimon. During the time that Dainsleif was gone, you wandered aimlessly, searching for your husband for what felt like years, when in reality, it was barely three months. You thought you would never see him again, that you would never feel his arms around you like this again. Your grip on his shoulders tightened as tears welled up in your eyes, recalling that crushing feeling of being so very alone for so unbearably long. He noticed how quiet you'd gotten, and looked down at you as he spoke. "Are you alright?" he asked, reaching up and gently cupping your face in his hands. You nodded, letting your tears fall as he held you there. You reached up and put your hands over his, speaking very quietly. “I thought I wouldn’t get the chance to be close to you like this again. I was looking for you alone out there for so long, I thought you were killed.” you whispered, eyes shutting tightly as he looked down at you. Dainsleif gently thumbed away your tears and pressed his lips against yours, his eyes slipping closed as he kissed you. “I’m not going anywhere anytime soon, my beloved Inteyvat, I promise.” he whispered, his words soothing you and chasing away the negative thoughts in your already lust clouded mind. When he slowly pulled away, he set your legs back down against the mattress, letting you wrap them around his waist. He slowly rocked his hips against yours, watching as you whined softly and dragged your nails down his back. “Hnn~ just like that, please don’t stop- Ahn~!” You gasped when he hit deeper, causing you to clench and squeeze around him more. “Hnng~ so- fuck- tight. You’re always so good for me, you know that? Such a good girl.” He whispered, his hot breath fanning against your neck as you held onto him.

You buried your face in his neck and bit down on his skin, leaving a mark in the crook of his neck as his thrusts picked up speed. “Nh~ D-Dain, please- aHm~!” The coil in your lower tummy was winding tighter, and you couldn’t help but gasp as he hit your sweet spot, his tip bumping up against your cervix every time he hit particularly deep. “It’s been so long since I last had you like this, too long- Ngh~!” You squeezed around him tightly when he spoke, your gummy walls clenching around him at his words. Your eyes rolled back when his hand went town between the two of you and he rubbed your clit with his thumb. “Such a beautiful sight for my eyes alone. Go ahead and let go, sweetheart, I’ve got you.” He whispered, pressing his lips against yours as you gasped and moaned loudly, tugging his blond hair as tears pooled at the corners of your eyes. “NghAhm~ cumming, cumming- AnH~!” You came all over his cock as the tight coil of pleasure snapped in your lower tummy, pushing you over the edge as you buried your face in his shoulder. His own orgasm hit him soon after, his hips stuttering against yours as you spasmed and squeezed his thick shaft tightly. A loud groan slipped past his lips as the noise of skin meeting skin grew louder. You gripped his shoulders tightly as his hips stilled against yours, breathless beneath him. After the two of you had calmed down, you slowly pulled back and looked down at him. “Mmh~ Dain?” You looked down at him with half lidded eyes as he spoke. “Yeah, what is it?” He asked, his arms snaking up to yours so he could hold your hands. The spaces between your fingers were filled, and you couldn’t help the tears that rolled down your cheeks at the loving gesture. “Are you alright? Did I do something? Was it-” he stopped mid sentence as you started giggling softly, resolving to rest his head against your chest. “I love you.” You whispered, pressing your lips against his gently. He kissed you back, tensing up slightly as your hand went up to cup the side of his face. More specifically, you were holding the side of his face he usually wore his mask on, the side the abyss had stained. You didn’t care, you loved him dearly regardless of what had happened to him when he was in the abyss. “We should wash up.” you mumbled, chuckling softly as he huffed and nosed your neck. “Ok.” he mumbled.

You gasped as he braced himself and slowly pulled out, making sure he didn’t hurt you. He kissed your forehead before slowly getting up and pulling the covers back. He picked you up and slowly walked to the bathroom, gently setting you down on the rim of the bath and running the water warm the way you both liked it. Once the bath was full, he gently lowered you into the water as he spoke. “I’m going to let you soak in here for a bit while I make us something to eat and change the sheets. I shouldn’t be long.” He said, noticing your worried gaze. He pressed his lips against your forehead and stood up straight, throwing on a towel and wrapping it around his waist. You waited for him to come back, looking around the bathroom in the meantime. About twenty minutes later, he returned with some eggs and some bacon, setting the plates on the bathroom counter. He then took the towel off and got in the bath with you, sitting behind you as he grabbed the soap and lathered his hands with it. He then slowly rolled his palms against your shoulders, working his way down your body as he eased the tension that had built up in your muscles. “Does that feel better?” He asked, slowly pulling his hands away when he’d finished massaging your legs. “Mhmm~” you hummed, a blissed out expression on your face as you wrapped your arms around his neck. He shampooed and conditioned your hair and his, before rinsing it out of your hair and moving on to do the same with his own. You, however, gently guided him to lay back in the water, and gently rinsed it out of his hair. Your nails scratching his scalp like this always felt nice, and he seemed to melt in your arms as you rinsed his hair. “Ok, I’m done.” You mumbled, causing him to open his eyes and look up at you. You smiled down at him and pulled away so he could sit up, watching him get out of the bath to get the two of you some towels. He lifted you up and wrapped you up in the towel, draining the bath when you were out. He then helped dry you off, drying himself afterward. As he carried you back to bed, you couldn’t help but pull him down to kiss him. He gave a muffled grunt of surprise, before he returned the kiss. Once he set you down under the covers, he went back and got the food. It was still, thankfully, warm, and you gladly ate it as he handed you a glass of water. “You should drink something, it’ll do you well.” He said, watching as you took the glass and drank it. “Thanks.” You murmured, leaning against him as you finished eating your food. “Any time.” He replied, taking your plate and going downstairs with it to put it in the sink. He would wash it later when he had the time. He then got back in bed and under the covers with you, pulling you close to him. He always loved holding you like this after a particularly long session together, and you were happy to receive his touch. You rolled onto your back and let him rest his head against your chest, his arms around your waist as his usually tense body relaxed. “The Abyss can wait, I just want to be here with you right now.” Dainsleif whispered, letting himself bask in your warmth as he started falling asleep. “Don’t worry, Dain, I’m not going anywhere.” You soothed, watching him nod tiredly before he looked up at you. “I love you, my Inteyvat, I love you so very much.” He mumbled, closing his eyes and drifting off soon after. “I love you, too, Dainsleif.” You whispered, your hand in his hair as drowsiness took you over and you fell into the comforting embrace of sleep.

If only things could be peaceful like this all the time.

Comfort (Alhaitham x reader)

Notes: I’m not dead, surprisingly enough. Enjoy this little thing I made~

Warnings: none

Alhaitham had been in the desert for a week now, having had to suffer from the sandstorms, harsh winds, boiling heatwaves, and sand getting into everything he owned for seven long, infinitesimal days. All he could think of was coming home and resting in your arms for the next eternity. His feet somehow carried him from Aaru Village to Sumeru City, with each step more tiring as he kept walking, until he had finally dragged himself to the entrance to his house. He dug through his pocket and found what he was looking for: his house key. He fitted the smooth gold key into the lock on his front door, turning it and pushing the door open. He closed it behind him as the scent of petrichor and the sound of humming graced his nose and ears. He closed his teal eyes and breathed it in, sighing as the realization dawned on him fully.

He was finally home.

You had decided to make some of your favorite food tonight when you heard the front door open. You knew who it was by the sound of quiet footsteps going up the stairs as your lover went upstairs to take the longest shower of his life. You giggled to yourself, continuing to hum a song you’d been taught when you were younger as you continued making dinner. You made sure there was enough for both of you before turning off the stove and grabbing two plates from the cabinet. You plated the food and smiled as you heard Alhaitham’s steady footsteps as he descended the stairs. When his tired eyes met yours, a small smile appeared on his face as he walked over to you and pulled you into his arms. You hugged him back, enjoying the much needed feeling of his arms around you. “Welcome back home, ‘Haitham.” You mumbled, reaching up and wrapping your arms around his neck. He hummed, as if to tell you he’d heard you, before pulling away slightly and pressing his lips against yours. “Tired?” You asked knowingly, watching as he nodded. “Do you want something to eat?” You asked. He pulled away from you and sighed, nodding softly.

You handed him his plate and some utensils, sitting beside him at the table as he started to eat. He hummed at the taste, savoring the flavor, and before long, he’d finished the entire plate. He sat beside you until you finished eating, and took the plates and utensils to the sink to wash them. You helped him, drying and putting them away once you were done. “I just need to grab a quick shower, and then I’ll join you in bed.” You told him, walking upstairs with him in tow.

He waited until you were done in the shower and watched as you walked back into the bedroom in your pajamas. You laid down beside him and giggled softly as he reached out and gently pulled you closer under the cool dark green bedcovers and white silk sheets of your shared bed. Alhaitham wrapped his arms around you once more and rested his head on top of yours, smiling softly as he kissed the top of your head. You noticed that he was still quite tense, and reached upwards, running your fingers through his soft ash gray hair. He relaxed, leaning into your touch as he sighed deeply, a sense of overwhelming relief washing over his body. You urged him to lay on his stomach, and massaged his shoulders gently, before moving on to his back. You massaged the knots out of his tense muscles, and pulled away once you were done. He laid down with you again, this time burying his face in your neck. Knowing he was still awake, you spoke. “Do you want to hear about my week?” You asked, feeling his hair brush against the crook of your neck as he nodded softly. “Well, I got to visit Collei and Tighnari in Ghandarvaville, they said that they’d love it if you’d join us at Lambad’s Tavern sometime for drinks and cards. Me and Kaveh also cleaned the house together while you were gone, so maybe try to be a little nicer to him tomorrow? I know you don’t really hate him, since he’s been there for you since before I got to the Akademiya. I also reorganized the library, but I organized it to where it’s alphabetical, now, so you can find books more easily.” You said. You were about to say more when you realized that Alhaitham’s breathing had slowed. It was when you looked down that your suspicions had been confirmed, and Alhaitham was asleep. You smiled, turning out the lamp on your bedside. “Goodnight, ‘Haitham, I love you.” You whispered, knowing in your heart, even as you drifted off to sleep, that he loved you with everything he was, too.

Warnings: slightly suggestive

Thoma looked over at Ayato as the two of them watched the fireworks for the Irodori Festival go off in the sky, illuminating it with bright bursts of color. “Thoma, if I may ask, do these festivals ever make you miss your homeland?” He asked, looking over at him. “Oh, well, sometimes. Truth be told, I left a lot more than just my mother behind when I left Mondstadt.” he said, his mind wandering to you, one of his only friends during his time in Mondstadt. "I left a childhood friend behind back then, promising them that I'd only return once I got news of where my father was in Inazuma. However, after finding out that he was, you know, I figured I'd set down roots here, instead. Of course, I have been wanting to see them again, since they're probably waiting for me, but I never have the time, and I'm still needed here." he said, a sad smile on his face. "Hmm, well, we could leave tomorrow and take a trip there during the remainder of the festival." Ayato offered. Thoma's eyes snapped over to him as he blinked owlishly at him. "Wait, seriously?! You'd do that for me?" he asked. Ayato nodded softly, looking at him. "You say that someone is waiting for you back home, and who am I to deny you the chance to see them again. Besides, you were there for me during the time when I needed you most. This is my chance to repay you for your kindness with the utmost sincerity I can possibly offer. I want to do this for you, Thoma." he said, causing him to nod. "Are we bringing Lady Ayaka with us, then?" he asked, watching as Ayato nodded. "Yes, I'd like for her to join us as well, since she's never set foot outside of Inazuma." he said. "Understood, then we should pack, since, you know, we're leaving tomorrow." Thoma advised. Ayato only nodded. "Of course, I'll go get Ayaka, then." he said, walking off and leaving Thoma to prepare whatever he needed for the trip.

The next day, Thoma dragged his bag outside and was met with the sight of both Kamisato siblings already ready at the gates to the estate. "We've already made sure everything is squared away, all that's left is to board the Crux and sail to Liyue. We'll figure out the rest of our journey to Mondstadt from there." Ayato explained. Thoma nodded, following them to Ritou and watching as the Crux finally docked. "All aboard, our next stop is Liyue Harbor." Beidou called. Thoma, Ayato, and Ayaka boarded the ship quickly, and watched as Beidou made the last call for boarding the ship. She kicked away the ramp to board the ship, before she spoke again. "Alright, let's set sail for the Land of Commerce!" she cheered.

The long boat ride to Liyue was worth it when Thoma's feet met solid ground again. He watched as Ayato and Ayaka struggled to get back their own land legs, chuckling softly. "Gosh, it's been a while, huh? I haven't seen this place in a while." he said. Thoma looked back at the two before going back on the ship and getting their luggage. He then handed them their things as he spoke. "Come on, we've still got quite a walk ahead of us, and we're wasting daylight. I want to at least see the sunset at Stone Gate before it's too late, so we can take a break when we get there." he said, ushering them through the busy streets and through the Harbor exit. They walked until arriving at a pier of sorts, and Thoma took a deep breath before sighing deeply. "Almost home." he mumbled. Almost home in your arms. He thought to himself. He'd had a huge crush on you before he left, and had regretted not telling you ever since he held his tongue the day he left. Thoma waited until Ayato and Ayaka were done with their tea to help them with getting their things to Stone Gate. "Come on, we can stay at the inn in the city." he said, causing the two to nod. They traveled through Stone Gate and passed Dawn Winery, while Thoma told them about the history of Mondstadt that he knew. He kept walking until they got to Windrise, where he told them about the story of Vennessa.

Thoma continued telling them about the stories he knew from his childhood until they finally arrived at the gates as the last few rays of sunlight were fading over the horizon. The hustle and bustle of the city was reduced to whispers and mumbled conversation as everyone was heading home for the night. Thoma stopped by Floral Whisper and asked for a bouquet of Windwheel Asters, paying Donna when she handed them to him. “It’s customary to give your significant other your Windblume along with a handmade gift to ask them on a date.” He said, a soft smile on his face as he spoke. Thoma led the Kamisato siblings to the hotel and set the flowers on the nightstand beside his bed. Ayaka was given her own room, whereas Thoma and Ayato shared a room. There were two beds in that room, one for him and one for Ayato. He went to sleep earlier than Thoma, leaving him awake in his bed, his thoughts filled with you. He missed you, even when he was so close to seeing you again, his yearning for you was stronger now than it had ever been. He wanted to be more than just friends, he wanted to take you into his arms and kiss you, holding you as a lover would. He wanted to kiss you as a lover would, and do much less innocent things with you that only a lover would do. But for now, he just wanted to see you again. He looked at the omamori he’d made and embroidered for you, a beautiful pink cloth with orange and red flames climbing up the sides, the center a single pink cherry tree. It was beautiful, and he’d spent months making and embroidering it. The only thing he had to do now was give it to you, tied to the bouquet of flowers. He ran his thumb over the design and sighed, before rolling over to face the window. He decided that he’d find you tomorrow, and went to sleep with the notion that he would make it clear to you that he saw you as more than just a childhood friend of his that he’d left behind.

You woke up early in the morning and realized what day it was, smiling softly as you looked at the finished tassel you’d made. You had recently learned to make them, and wanted to mail it to Thoma. You’d recently been thinking of him more often, and wanted to see him again. It was a shame that he’d moved to Inazuma, but you still had hope that he’d return to see you again. You got dressed and slipped out the door, walking into town and over to the Adventurers’ Guild. Just as you were starting to speak to Katheryne about your plans for the day, a hand came to rest on your shoulder. “You mind if I change those plans?” A voice asked. You spun around on your heel and came face to face with Thoma, your eyes widening as you threw your arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. “Thoma, you’re back!” You exclaimed, your hold tightening as you embraced him. He wrapped his arms around your waist and hugged you back, before letting go after a minute. “Oh my goodness, how are you? How has your time in Inazuma been?” You asked. “It’s been good, could I talk to you somewhere maybe less out in the open for a bit?” He asked, causing you to nod. You saw two people waving to him when you looked behind him, and let him lead you to somewhere near the Cathedral.

“So, allow me to introduce you to Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka, the Yashiro Commissioner and his younger sister. I work for them and help with keeping house over at the Kamisato Estate.” He explained, stepping to the side as the two bowed out of respect. “Ah, I heard that the Sakoku and Vision Hunt Decrees were repealed recently, welcome to Mondstadt.” You said, clasping your hands together as you spoke. “Thank you, it’s an honor to meet one of Thoma’s friends in person.” Ayato said, holding out his hand to you. You shook it, a smile on your face as you did so. “So, any plans for tonight? The fireworks are really beautiful if you see them from Cider Lake. We can go all together if you want?” You proposed. “Actually, me and Ayaka will probably be looking around for a little while longer when they go off, you and Thoma should go there together, instead.” Ayato advised. You nodded in agreement, before telling them that you had to get something from your home. After you left, Ayato spoke. “So, bad choice calling them your friend, then?” He asked. Thoma dragged a hand down his face. “Yes.” He mumbled. "Apologies, perhaps I should have said spouse, then?" he teased. "Please stop." he mumbled. "Well then, we'll leave you two alone to catch up with one another. Tell us about it later." he said, walking away and vanishing around a corner with Ayaka in tow. A few minutes later, you returned, holding a small box. "Hey, sorry it took me so long to... where did your friends go just now?" you asked, looking around and then at Thoma. "Ah, they said that they were going to check out the rest of the city together, while we play catch up, if you don't mind, that is." he said. "Not at all. In fact, I made you this, in hopes that you'd either return to Mond this year or that you'd get it when I mailed it to Inazuma." you said, handing him the small box. He opened it and smiled when his eyes landed on the tassel. He chuckled softly, before he spoke. "My gift for you is at the hotel, so I still need to get it. I'll get it for you before we go to see the fireworks, ok?" he asked, watching as you nodded eagerly. "I figured you would, you're going to love it." he said, giving you a smile of his own.

"So, have you been doing well, too?" he asked, walking with you around the city. "Yeah, I work with the Adventurers' Guild here, so I usually have commissions, but since it's Windblume, I can't really do anything since it's a tradition to make Windblume gifts by hand." you said, shrugging. "What about you? Working for the Yashiro Commissioner must be something, huh?" you asked, causing him to scratch the back of his head. "It's a bit tough at times, especially during the Vision Hunt Decree, but things have settled down since that and the Sakoku Decree have both finally been repealed. I thought that nightmare was never going to end." he groaned, covering his face with his hands. "You think that's difficult? You should see how awful it is just to go out and get a drink at Angels' Share. The drunkards there are insufferable. Thankfully, Kaeya's been a huge help with that, since drunks are apparently scared of him. I try not to ask for his help too often, since he's known for asking for favors and whatnot, but he is a good person, and I'm relieved that I'm friends with him." you said. Thoma wasn't a jealous person, but he went green with envy every time you mentioned another man sticking up for you, especially the very popular and attractive Cavalry Captain. "Gosh, it's been what, five years since you left? And yet, being with you here and now, it feels as though it's only been a few days. It's a relief in a way, I was worried that you'd changed during your time overseas, but you haven't, and I'm so glad that I finally get to see you again." you said, looking down to where he couldn't see the red that dusted your face. "Yeah, I'm glad we get to see each other again, too." he said, putting a hand on your shoulder. "Come on, I have to get your gift for later tonight. We can stop and get something quick to eat if you want. Actually, you know what? I'll make it myself." he said, leading you back to the hotel and grabbing the omamori and the flowers. They looked good even now, and Thoma was grateful for that. He walked back out and handed you the box with the omamori inside, telling you to open it later. He went to Blanche and purchased a few ingredients, before going to Sara and getting some meat to cook later. He then walked with you to the spot you always used to go to together, as he discreetly hid the flowers in his bag, making sure you didn't see them. "Come on, we still have some time we can kill, and I want to see your family again. Let's go." he said, offering his hand to you and waiting for you to take it. You were a little nervous, but took it, nonetheless. After speaking to your parents for a while, Thoma saw that the sun was finally starting to sink over the horizon, and waited for you to leave before he spoke. "I was wondering, are they in a relationship?" he asked them. Your mother shook her head. "No, but we've known of your feelings for them for a while now, dear. If you make them happy, then so be it. Besides, you've been gone for so long now, and they've missed you a lot. You're not children, anymore, and they deserve someone like you, a man who will take care of them and treat them right, like you. So if you're asking about whether or not you can be with them, we don't mind." your mother said, a soft smile on her face as she spoke. "Thank goodness, that's a relief." he breathed, immediately going back to the way he was before when you got back to the living room. "Why is it so quiet? Did they say something embarrassing? I asked you two not to." you said, looking over at your parents. "We didn't do that, we were just telling Thoma here about how much you like my cooking, and how often you still visit just to try it." your mother said. "She's not wrong, it is good cooking." you said, looking over at Thoma. He looked out the window and saw that the sun was setting soon, and quickly explained that the two of you had to leave before getting his things and all but dragging you out to Cider Lake.

You sat down on the picnic blanket you'd brought with you while Thoma made dinner for the two of you. When he turned around, he held a crab, ham, and veggie bake in his hands, setting it down on the blanket and taking one of the bowls you'd brought with you. He served you first, before getting himself some of the veggie bake and sitting beside you. The two of you looked up at the stars as they lit the sky above, watching in awe as the first few fireworks went up and exploded, flashes of color lighting up your eyes and making them sparkle. "Hey, can you look at me for a second?" he asked, causing you to turn to look at him. "Yeah?" you asked. He brought out the omamori charm and handed it to you, causing you to gasp in delight. "Thoma, you made this? It's beautiful." you said, slipping the string around your wrist and smiling as you admired the design. "That's not the only reason I wanted you to look at me." he confessed. "What is it?" you asked. He brought out the Windwheel Asters, handing the bouquet to you. "It's Windblume, and as per tradition, I wanted to ask you on a proper date this time." he said, his face flushing as you took the flowers from him and stared at them. "Wait, Thoma, you like...me?" you asked, pointing to yourself. He nodded. "I understand completely if you aren't ready for a relationship yet, and I can wait, but- ack!" you tackle hugged him, wrapping your arms around his neck and laying on top of him as you kept him in your embrace. "Archons, no, that's not it at all. I'm just so happy that you finally told me." you said. "Wait, huh?" he asked as he sat up, causing you to giggle. "Yeah, I knew for a while that you had feelings for me, I just wanted to wait until you said that you did." you explained. "Oh, so you knew how much I wanted to do... this?" he asked, confusing you slightly. You didn't have time to process what Thoma was saying before he was leaning in and capturing your lips with his own, kissing you passionately. You kissed him back, causing him to fall onto his back yet again. He poured his emotions into that kiss, tangling his fingers in your hair and holding you close as he poured five years worth of longing into the way he held you close and the way he embraced you with so much love. You broke the kiss for air, panting softly as your face flushed bright red. "Wow," you breathed, looking down at him. "I didn't know you were such a good kisser, Thoma." you said, leaning in and kissing him again. When you pulled away to catch your breath again, he spoke. "I know I'm from here, and that I left a while ago to find my home in Inazuma with my father, but I think that you're my real home." he whispered, pressing his forehead against yours. "But you have to leave soon, and I only get you for a week." you whispered, crestfallen, "I'll visit, and if you want, you can come to Inazuma, and you can stay at my place, and we can live together." he said. "Hmm, that ladder idea doesn't sound too bad. After all, home is where the heart is, isn't it?" you asked. Before he could answer, you leaned down to kiss him again as the fireworks came to a close, held close to him and safe in his arms as you both stargazed and fell asleep in each other's arms. Ayato and Ayaka could wait, they didn't need to know where he was right now, anyway. You, however, couldn't wait. You'd waited long enough, and Thoma loved you, so he stayed like that with you in his arms as you slept soundly on his chest, thinking to himself about how lucky he was to finally have you. "Sweet dreams, my love, may your sleep be as gentle as the wind." he whispered, closing his eyes as he drifted off to sleep as well.
