When I was homeschooled I did this because I was so lonely. I made an entire class of friends, some who were book characters, and others who were entirely my own creation

sometimes you just have to let yourself be a bit neurodivergent.

i hate going out, it gives me a lot of anxiety and sensory input that i dont like, and i am often forced to talk to people.

so i do this thing on more difficult days, or sometimes just for fun, where i "bring a fictional character with me". i walk and imagine Fictional Character walking next to me. they talk to me, reassure me, hype me up, whatever i need them to do.

today dean winchester came christmas shopping with me. he went over the list with me of stuff i needed to get, told me i was doing a good job every time i finished in a certain shop, reminded me to take a deep breath when i got a little overwhelmed.

and yea. its kinda silly. and i know its just me talking to myself in a different voice, but it Works! especially since all of my special interests/hyperfixations tend to be tv/movie related.

so do what you gotta do to Get Shit Done. stop holding yourself to neurotypical standards. if you need Fictional Character to tell you you're doing a good job, do it! if you need Favourite Singer to walk you to school, do it! yea it might feel silly but you're literally fighting against your own brain to get stuff done every single day. you can have a little self indulgent daydream, as a treat.

So there’s a ren faire in a week and I just got the fabric to make my dress. I have one week to sew my FIRST EVER DRESS FOR A REN FAIRE. all because my mom wouldn’t take me to get the fabric sooner. I told her about the ren faire in like February 😭😭

I definitely feel like Sophie (if she were Christian) would be a Methodist, like me. Methodists mainly focus on showing the world Jesus’s love and serving others the way he served us. It’s generally a very accepting community, so Sophie wouldn’t have another systemic issue to worry about

So, religion doesn’t get brought up in KOTLC a lot, and the elves don’t really have Christianity, but I have this headcanon where the Fosters went to church and Sophie went with them. She wasn’t like, the most overly devout person ever, but she went and she didn’t mind. My little headcanon is that after the events of canon end she starts going again, just to have a tradition from her old life that meant more to her than she realized, and she’s more devout this time. Again if you disagree that’s totally fine, that’s just my little headcanon!!

I haven’t thought a lot about tmbs characters and Christianity aside from what a friend has told me about extensively over DM and I actually adopted a lot of those headcanons because I loved them (and I’m not going to steal them here), but the first time I read the series as a kid Kate just struck me as someone who volunteered as VBS, and since she reminded me of myself in a lot of ways, little Katie saw Kate as a Christian. Once again, disagreement is fine!

I wasn’t sure whether to post this or not bc I know religion can be a touchy subject for a lot of people, but for me personally Christianity has always been something really helpful and beautiful for me and so my brain does apply it to my hyperfixations sometimes. So, if there are people out there who want to know, these are my little headcanons regarding kotlc and tmbs characters and Christianity.
