When you're always getting rejected by your crushes, your best friend decides to do the best thing he could think of; confessing his true feelings so you know that there's someone in the world who cares about you more than a friend.

"Jun, he said no," you sigh, plopping yourself next to your best friend as you try not to recall your memory from not too long ago.

"What? I thought he really liked you," the 'he' in question was none other than your crush, Minho. Well, now probably ex-crush.

"He said he has a girlfriend. I feel so dumb. Of course a guy like him would have a girlfriend. What was I even thinking?" you hit yourself on the forehead.

"It's okay, Y/n. One day, you're going to get a guy who treats you like a queen," Jun says, hoping that his words will make you feel better.

"It's so frustrating, Junnie. How long do I have to wait to finally meet my prince charming? Honestly, I think the concept of love hates me"

Jun stays silent. If only you looked up from your fingers right now, you can finally realize that your prince charming had always been by your side. To be honest, the concept of love must have hated Jun more than you.

How else was he possibly be in love with you for so long?

He will never admit his feelings for the sake of your 7 years friendship. He was good at covering them up, hoping that they would disappear just like that one day. Clearly not.

Everyday, he seemed to be falling for you more. It hurt him to see you blushing about someone else but what was he supposed to do? Your smile was something he didn't want to disappear from the face of the earth. So, he would let someone else make you happy instead of him ruining everything.

You keep on rambling about how you were going to die single at age of 60 because no one treats you like 'the one', while Jun keeps quiet and admires your face.

To him, you had always been the only one.

His thoughts were interrupted by the door slamming open, showing a panting Soonyoung.

"W-what are we- we doing? Who ar- are we murdering?" Soonyoung puts a hand on his chest to control his breathing, before taking a seat next to Jun.

"Woah, take it easy, bro. You look like you just ran a marathon,"Jun says, putting an arm around his other best friend to calm the latter down.

"I ran as fast as possible when I saw your text. What's wrong?"

"Minho, rejected her because he has a girlfriend," Jun explains, trying not to frown too much at Minho's face. He was human too. He can feel a bit of jealousy, right?

"Yeah. I feel so upset. I mean my crush on him lasted for more than 2 years. If I had known that he had a girlfriend, I would have stopped liking him," you say, sighing.

"That's awful. I thought he liked you too"

"That's what I told her. I guess our instincts were wrong"

"It's okay, guys. Let's forget about him. After all, what can we do? How about we eat some doughnuts?" you suggest.

"Sounds good," both boys say in unison.

"When you said you wanted to eat doughnuts, I didn't know it meant raiding your roommate's stash," Soonyoung says, looking a bit afraid but still taking another doughnut from the pink box.

"She wouldn't mind. It's a 'Y/n comfort box' according to her so it's meant for me," you reply.

"How nice of her. Learn from her, Jun," Soonyoung hits Jun on the shoulder, making the latter roll his eyes.

"Anyways, Y/n, are you sure that Minho rejected you because he has a girlfriend and not you specifically?"

The question from Soonyoung gets himself a dirty eye from Jun and a upset look from you.

"What do you mean? Y/n's perfect. She's pretty, smart and kind. Minho's dumb if that's the actual reason," surprisingly that came from Jun.

"It's okay, Jun. I'm sure Soonyoung didn't mean it that way?" it seemed to make Jun calmer.

"Awwwww. You guys just reminded me once more why soulmates aren't just lovers. And- OH MY HOLY GOD, I'M LATE FOR PRACTICE. Chan's going to become the leader at this rate," Soonyoung panics around and it makes you wonder if you should give him any more doughnuts in the future. Sugar makes people hyper. In front of you, was the living proof.

"I'm sorry, you guys but I have to go now. See you some time later. Bye," Soonyoung leaves in a rush before giving you and Jun time to reply.

"He came and left like a breeze. I feel better when he's around," Jun says and you nod in agreement.

"Yeah"

You and Jun were left alone in silence.

"Y/n?"

"Yes?"

"What do you think of me?"

That question got you frozen. It was the first time he was asking something like this.

"Well, you're the kindest person on earth. You have very pretty eyes and a nice smile. It's always nice to talk to you and I always look forward to meet you," you reply.

Jun looks surprised at your answer as if he wasn't expecting it.

"Why are you asking?"

"So, is it possible if you see me from a different perspective?" Jun's ears were red as he tried to look at something else that's not you.

You could hear your heartbeat ring in your ears.

"Different how?"

Jun stares at you, and he looks like he's trying to think of a way to say something without making it sound weird.

"Like not as a friend"

"That means-"

"Or a best friend"

You shut your mouth in an instant. Your cheeks turn red and you didn't know what to say.

"Just so you know, I like you. I have liked you for a long time. I just thought you should know this because I don't want to keep it hidden any longer," Jun says, his voice barely a whisper. The whole thing would have been romantic but it was Jun who was confessing. You've never dreamt of something like that in your entire life.

Your thoughts must have been seeping through your expressions because Jun immediately clears his throat.

"It's fine if you want to take your time. I know it's out of nowhere but I want you to know that my feelings are genuine"

"Since when?" that was the only thing that managed to make it's way out of your mouth.

Jun smiles, "Sweet Sixteen" and it makes your eyes widen in surprise.

"I know. It's been 6 years but I really like you. It's hard to move on when you genuinely like someone"

"I'll be leaving now but before that," he leans in and his lips make contact with your cheek. Millions of butterflies swarm in your stomach and you're heartbeat was so loud that you were sure Jun could hear it.

He pulls away and whispers in your ear, "I love you, Y/n. Always have. Always will"

When you fight with your best friend, it drains you emotionally and you fall asleep in your car only to wake up to your crush's face. Thankfully, he's good at comforting people.

You were kind of nervous when you enter Jihoon's studio after not meeting up with him for almost 3 weeks. Part of you wanted to blame him for not answering to any of your calls or messages. The other part knew that he was probably just busy, being a song producer.

Jihoon had been your friend for literally 10 years. When you met him he was just the cute, shy boy who had a big passion for music. That passion led to him being one of the best song producers in South Korea. And you were with him throughout all of it. It wasn't like him to ghost you all of a sudden.

You clench the plastic bag filled with Jihoon's favorite food as you walk to his room. You knock on the door and you hear some rustling noises from inside.

"Yeah, coming"

When Jihoon opens the door, you can barely recognize him. His eyes were covered with dark circles and his hair was a mess. He looked like he hadn't slept for days.

You expected him to at least smile at you but what you got instead was a hard glare.

"What are you doing here?" Jihoon asks, his voice cold.

"I brought you food. You weren't answering my calls or texts so I got worried," you say with a smile.

"Who asked you to bring me food? Do you think I'm a child? I can get myself food if I want"

You stare at him, trying to process what he just said. It was fine if he was busy but he didn't have to show his frustration towards you, right?

"Well, I just bought these. You can eat them later or something"

"Gods, why are you so annoying?"

Upon hearing this, your chest burns with anger. Why was he acting like you weren't suddenly friends anymore?

"Annoying? Me? I was worried about you, you bastard. How dare you call me annoying?"

Jihoon's eyes didn't even have a hint of regret or guilt.

"You're wasting my time"

Your eyes burn as tears threaten to fall. You wipe them away with your sweater.

"You," you point as finger at him ,"are not worthy of being my friend anymore"

"I'm glad. You were a pain in the back anyways"

Those words hurt like a slap across the face. How long was he thinking like that? Were all those moments you had fun just fake? Millions of questions swarm in your head.

"I was there for you when you were at your worst. Let's see who's going to collect shit up for you from now on," with that being said, you leave Jihoon's place.

When you get in your car, you cannot help yourself but cry. He was your friend of 10 years. How can he suddenly be so rude and break your heart? You didn't deserve it. You rest your head on the steering wheel and close your eyes.

As the night sky stays calm as always, you fall asleep, tears staining your cheeks.

You wake up to the sound of someone knocking on your window. Your eyes flutter open and you immediately blink, trying to get used to the sudden brightness.

As you rub your eyes, you turn to look at your window only to find Soonyoung with a concerned look on his face.

Soonyoung was your and Jihoon's friend. You had a tiny crush on him but never told anyone. He was this cute, shy and hyper guy that never failed to make you laugh.

You open your car door and Soonyoung crouches down so that he was on eye level with you.

"Let me drive you home"

The silence wasn't uncomfortable. That was for sure. You didn't say anything when he offered to drive you but moved to the passenger's seat which indicated that you agreed.

He didn't question you, asking what happened which reminded you once more why you really like him.

"Do you want to eat?" he asks and before you can say anything your stomach started to rumble. Great timing.

Soonyoung laughs, "I guess that's a yes". Your face flushes in embarrassment.

"What do you want to eat?"

"Ramen"

"Okay"

You look at him, surprised. Usually the type of reaction you get from people(mainly Jihoon) when you say you wanted to eat Ramen for breakfast was a mortified look.

Soonyoung must have noticed your widened eyes because he immediately says, "I know what you're thinking. It's fine. You've had a hard day. You deserve to eat something you like"

You were already starting to feel a bit better. You smile, happy that Soonyoung was there for you when you needed someone. Still, Jihoon had been there for you all those years. Suddenly, removing him from your life seemed like something impossible.

You turn to look at Soonyoung and noticing his faint yet contagious smile something clicks in your mind.

With this boy in your life, anything was possible.

"So, do you know any good place to get Ramen?"

"I'm glad you decided to do this for me today. Thank you so much," you pat your stomach which was full from all the Ramen you had eaten and some macarons you had gotten from a cafe nearby, "Do you want to come in?"

"It's okay. I have to go for dance practice right now anyways," Soonyoung says, rubbing the back of his neck, his cheeks dusted in pink, "I had a lot of fun even if my plan was only to make you feel better"

"In that case, I'd say it worked very well. I had fun too"

"Just so you know, Y/n, you don't deserve whatever that made you cry"

You look at him, silently deciding whether to tell him about your fight with Jihoon or not. You decided to go with the former.

"Jihoon fought with me. Called me annoying and a pain in the back. I'm not sure if we can ever go back to being friends anymore," you tell him. Soonyoung looked like he couldn't believe it.

"I don't know what's gotten into him but I am not talking to him until he apologizes to you," he huffs and you try to keep yourself from pinching his cheeks because he looked so adorable.

"It's okay, Soonyoung. You don't have to do that. I'm the one he doesn't want to talk to. I don't want your friendship to be ruined because of me"

Soonyoung gives another huff, "Leave him. He'll come back to you once he gets a brain surgery done. I mean ho-," you didn't know what had gotten you so bold but you had already pressed your lips against his to shut him up. Soonyoung gives a startled squeak just before you pull away.

"I'm sorry. I think you have to get to practice. See you some time later. Bye," you say and before the poor boy could say anything you had already closed your door.

You lean your back against the door, trying to calm your racing heart. Did you just ruin everything?

On the opposite side, Soonyoung had a hand covering his flushed face and a small smile appeared on his face.

"I do have to go to practice now but I'm taking you out tomorrow. Get ready," he shouts before walking away, his lips still lingering from the kiss you had given.

Inside, you were grinning like a baboon. You thought about how bad everything had started but now the fight with Jihoon was fading from your mind.

Something about Soonyoung was just so comforting that it made you forget everything else.

Maybe, that's why you liked him so much.

you've been dating mingyu for nearly 2 years now. he was always the one to surprise you from bouquets to dates which is why this time you're going to surprise him.

his birthday was in a day and you're trying to bake him a cake. with the help of your mom, you get the ingredients.

the mission starts now.

your back was aching from bending too much and your hands are trembling as you carefully try to ice the cake.

this was the 3rd attempt. the first time, you accidentally added too much water. the second time, you forgot to set the timer and burnt the cake. this time, everything was perfect except icing the cake was just too hard.

as you were dying mentally, the door opens, making you freeze. was it mingyu? but he wasn't supposed to be home until tomorrow. you look at the time; 12.03.

"baby, where are you?"

it was clearly mingyu. you were doomed.

"i- i'm in the kitchen. don't come here"

"is anything wrong, y/n?"

"no. just don't come here"

"y/n, you're scaring me. i'm coming there"

before you could say anything mingyu stands before you, with a confused look on his face.

"what are you trying to do at this hour, y/n?"

you stay silent.

"are you trying to bake a cake? you shouldn't ice it this way. let me do it"

he keeps his bag on the counter and starts icing the cake. it was nowhere near the mess you were making. you watch him do the work, not knowing what to feel.

"so what do you want to write on the top?"

"happy birthday, mingyu"

"what?"

"it's past midnight. it's your birthday,"you hug him from the back, wrapping your arms around his torso.

"oh right. is that what this cake is for?" he sets the spatula on the counter and turns to hug you properly.

"it was supposed to be a surprise," you snuggle closer to him, inhaling his scent.

"y/n, i'm happy just by being with you. you don't need to surprise me," he whispers in your ear.

"i know but you always surprise me so it's only fair of i return it"

"well, in that case, i was really surprised when i found you baking a cake in the middle of the night"

You sighed in satisfaction after choosing the perfect dress for your friendly date with Joshua. It was an enchanting cute baker-miller pink dress with pastel floral patterns.

Your eyes darted to the hanging clock on the wall which was showing the time 4.53 p.m. Oh shoot! You got worried as it was already late. Joshua will be here any minute. So, you rushed into the bathroom to get ready.

15 minutes have passed, you were doing your makeup. You made it look natural and not too much. As soon as you stood up from the stool, you heard your doorbell ringing. You immediately rushed to open the door as you already know it was Joshua.

"Hey Y/- Wow.. You look gorgeous" Joshua's jaw dropped as soon as he saw you. Your face got heated at his statement.

"L-lets go. We're gonna be late"

"Ah.. Yes.. Let's go"

You ate the cookies that were made by Shua with a satisfied grin.

The picnic was fantastic. You and Joshua spent you're time chit-chatting the entire time. You were actually quite surprised at the fact that you and he share the same interests.

And for Joshua, you were a bit familiar. Your eyes, your lips even your laugh reminded him of someone. Sometimes, you even caught him staring at you which made your face go red.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" your eyes widened as you covered your mouth when you realised that your curiosity took over you. Sometimes, you hated how more advance your mouth is than your brain. "Sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable I didn't mean it"

"No no it's okay. I don't have a girlfriend actually. What about you?"

"Same. I sometimes get jealous when I see other couples. Like they need to learn that #singlelifematters, you know!"

"What th- Lol!" Joshua cracked up after listening to your response. You giggled and flipped your hair dramatically after successfully making him laugh.

And that's how the whole week went with you guys spending time together. You found yourself falling for him. The way he respects your boundaries and acts around you made you feel special. You felt secure and comfortable around him. One thing's for sure, Joshua was more than what you could ask for.

Swinging your hips according to the beat, you sang your favourite song. You were in your own world that you didn't even realise that Joshua was standing right behind you.

"Y/N!" Joshua shouted for the millionth time but he still didn't get a reply. So, he tapped your shoulder making you squeak.

"Hey, it's me" Joshua calmed you as you sighed in relief.

"I'm gonna take a bath, so if you need anything pleaseee wait. Don't do anything stupid" he pleaded dramatically.

"Okay, fine" you giggled as you sat on his couch. Your eyes wandered around the house when something caught your attention. A diary. A diary with your sister's name written on it? You stood up from the couch and went towards the bookshelf and took the diary. 'S/N's(sis name), DIARY OF A SIMPLE SOUL'. You were dumbfounded to see your sister's lost diary. Your sister whom you lost 3 years ago..

Finally discovering your sister's diary you were searching for all these years did make you feel relief but the question is why does Joshua have it?

Wiping your mouth, you give him a confused look.

"Why are you asking this?"

"Seriously, y/n? You want to spend our 2nd anniversary in a library?" he asks, sitting in front of you at the table you had set your things.

"You chose to go to an arcade on our first anniversary date. It's only fair if I choose this time," you say, placing a novel in front of him but he doesn't seem to notice.

"What are we even supposed to do in this place? It's boring and quiet"

"You read, Jeonghan," you say, pointing at the book you had placed for him.

He gives you an exaggerated look but proceeds to read a few pages before he lets out a loud sigh.

"You know what, y/n? I'm just going to stare at you because you seem more interesting than whatever that book was talking about"

Joshua

"Come here," Joshua says, patting the seat next to him on the couch. You sit next to him and he places his guitar on his lap to teach you some basics. He goes on for a few minutes about the strings and their names.

"So this string here is the- y/n, you're not paying attention," he sighs and you look at him accusingly.

"It's your fault. You're not fit to be a teacher," you say, pointing a finger at him.

You watch his face fall as if he was upset.

"I'm sorry, y/n. I'll try to teach you better"

"I don't think you can"

"Why?"

"You're so handsome. How can you expect a student to pay attention to anything other than you?"

Hearing this, Joshua smiles. He gives you a soft kiss on the cheek and you can't help but to smile back.

Junhui

The first thing you notice when you get home from work is the tiny kitten near the door, inside your house. Without thinking anything, you pat the kitten and it purrs softly, making you giggle. Then, you realize.

"Junhui!" you shout, carrying the kitten with you to your bedroom. What you saw took five years of your lifespan.

Jun was sitting on your bed, playing with 3 other kittens and he looks at you with an apologetic look.

"So, you decided to bring 4 kittens home without my permission?"

"I'm sorry. I was just coming home after work and saw these guys in a box near our apartment. They looked so adorable so I couldn't resist bringing them home," Jun gives you puppy-eyes and the kittens do the same. You ruffle your hair in frustration.

"Okay, fine. Only because you and these kittens are cute"

Soonyoung

Sunlight kicks your face and you blink your eyes, trying to get used to the light. You turn around to find Soonyoung already awake and staring at you.

"Soonyoung?"

"Go back to sleep. I wasn't done looking at you"

"I have to go to work. I think it's already late"

"It's 30 minutes earlier than your usual waking time. Just go to sleep"

"What are you even looking at? I probably look like a mess right now"

"You're cute when you sleep. I just want to appreciate the sight I get to see everyday"

Wonwoo

Wonwoo is still gaming and it's been an hour since he said it was his last game.

You sigh, plopping yourself on the couch of his gaming room.

"Wonwoo...."

"I swear it's the last game. I want to win at least once today"

You huff at his reply and give a dramatic reaction, falling on the ground with your hand on your head.

"My goodness, I feel like fading away bit by bit. My boyfriend's attention is getting less a less each day because of that dumb square looking equipment. If only he doesn't spare me a glance now, I might fade away completely," you say, making Wonwoo look at you.

Seeing upon your reaction, he shuts his computer down and sits on the floor next to where you were executing your performance.

"What are you doing, y/n?" Wonwoo laughs and you sit straight, glaring at him.

"It looks like you're in a relationship with your computer and not me. How else was I supposed to get your attention?"

Wonwoo chuckles once again and presses a soft kiss on your lips, making your anger evaporate.

"I'm not giving you this lecture again, y/n," Jihoon looks completely done with you.

"Whatever you say, I am not eating these," you say, giving a puking expression at the vegetables in front of you.

"How else are you going to get vitamins?"

"Healthy my foot. You got sick 3 times last month"

You cross your arms, still not giving in and it makes him sigh.
