been thinking about the barbie movie and there is something innately beautiful about being allive. I get to feel all these things and I get to tell my friends I love them and I get to do cute things for them because they deserve it and I'm so beautiful and you're so beautiful and there's nothing wrong with aging. growing up stings because you'll never get to go back to it, but it's also bittersweet because you're alive. you get to grow up. even when you didn't think you ever would. even when you always wanted to be an adult, but now you would wish for nothing more than to be a kid again. idk there's just something beautiful about being alive

I hope they add more of Ellie and Tommy’s relationship (pre-golf).

Were they friends? Did he step back into an uncle roll? Did they drift apart as she drifted apart from Joel? Or did Joel make him keep tabs on Ellie during those two years?

I’ve always wondered if Tommy knew about the estrangement. I imagine he did, but he never mentioned it all. It kinda seemed like Mariah didn’t know about it, she tried to talk to Ellie about the bar incident the morning after and it gave off the impression that she didn’t know anything was wrong with them

anon, I want you to know that when I read this, I had just finished a fic where there was a bunch of Tommy and Ellie bonding, so I do wholeheartedly agree. also I thank you for calling That pre-golf :)

but yes, I agree! I seriously hope Tommy gets back into his uncle roll! he was so good to Sarah from the little bits we got in the show, and we know Ellie is sassy. mans would have a BLAST sassing the shit out of Joel with her. I just know it. I really hope we get more of them in the show, I love show Tommy with my whole heart, I would LOVE to see him and Ellie bond :D

I imagine they were friends, maybe not like bestie level, but I imagine they would've been friends. mmm I could see both! I could see him drifting from Ellie once she cuts ties with Joel cause for all she knows, he's relaying stuff back to him. and I could see Joel asking him to keep tabs on her - if her and Tommy did stay close. but I don't imagine Tommy telling Joel everything. if there's something major happening with her, I could see him telling Joel. but if there's not, I could see him telling Joel she was doing just fine. if he ever got questioned, I imagine he'd just tell them they needed to work it out lmao

I also imagine he knew! 1, cause the guitar strings flashback made it seem like he knew something. the way he was telling Ellie she needed to talk to Joel, more than the "hi"s and "bye"s she was giving him, I think he knew at least a little bit. and 2, I feel it was pretty obvious to those who knew them? so, Tommy knows Joel and knows how he is with a kid, right? him all of a sudden not being seen in public with her (even if it is Ellie doing it, I know Joel wouldn't have pushed her, so he would've started avoiding her to a certain degree in public once they actual did drift)? red flags. something is up. and also with Joel confiding in Tommy about what really happened at the hospital? I can totally see him going to Tommy, trying to figure what's best for this kid. I don't think Maria knew and if she did, she knew how to not show it to everyone. but yeah, at the bar, she didn't seem to realize they were fighting, so I really don't think she knew about it. I think it was just Tommy tbh and maybe some of Ellie's friends?

another one has come to mind! I would love for them to show us joel teaching ellie how to play the guitar! I think that would be so sweet and so cool

Are there any moments not in the game you’re hoping they add in the forthcoming seasons? I really hope we get more info on her chemical burn!! They barley mention it in the game. I want to know how she even came up with that

there are! again, trying not to hold my breath so as to not be disappointed if they don't include them, but yes!

I would also love to see more on the chemical burn and the tattoo!! what was the thought process? well, we can assume the thought process, but what made her go for chemicals? did cat help her design the tattoo? what was joel's reaction? would love to see more there

would also love to see what happened in the theater after abby and lev left. like, everyone was down for the count, but then they're all relatively fine in the epilogue. (fine as in they're alive, minus jesse. I miss jesse) like, was dina the one to get everyone wrangled up and then saw jesse? or was it ellie, and she did it all with a broken arm? did she move jesse or make a makeshift sled, like she did for joel in the dlc? we know it wasn't tommy, but no one was in a good condition to take care of the others, if that makes sense. so I would love to see what happened afterwards

also the aftermath of the golfing. there's so much concept art, and I can't explain it, but I do kind of want to see that? it's gonna fucking destroy us, but idk it could also help a little bit? instead of jumping to him already being buried, but I think it would be fine if they didn't include any and did it how they did in the game

cat! I want to see cat! what was she like? did joel ever pick up that they were together? I just want to see her. maybe in the slow fall of her and ellie and then them together or in the giving of the tattoo. I just want to meet her haha

also did ellie ever come out to joel? or was that final scene him saying he knew?

part of me also wants to see more of pregnant dina? like, did it get any better once they got back to jackson? or did it get worse because of the amount of loss? how quickly did she and ellie move out of jackson completely? did she do it all while pregnant, and if she did, was she that far along? or was it pretty quickly after getting back to jackson that the two of them moved out? wait. they might've because of the amount of loss. the community still would've been mourning joel, and then to add jesse? a child? (I know he wasn't a child, but also, technically, he was. especially compared to joel) and did ellie get the wrath of maria because of the state of tommy? or was she understanding and that just added to her grief? this one's long, sorry, there's just so many possibilities

I kinda also want there to be more explanation of ellie and joel's estrangement, if they keep it in. I imagine they would, so I'd love to see how it affected ellie. cause they didn't show that in the game at all

I'd also just love to see more domestic jackson living. if you're keeping the golfing, give us more happy memories. please. make up for it

I'm not sure if there's any for abby? I thought there was at least one, but I can't remember it currently. mmm maybe was she in the hospital when the shooting happened? people pointed out there was someone running around who had a pretty long braid in that final episode. was it her? there was also an extra nurse that people thought was her. so I guess just was she at the hospital or was she out when All That happened?

I also preferred Joel getting stabbed rather than impaled. In the game it worked, But also like- there’s no way he should’ve survived that. In Left Behind it takes Ellie a while to get medical supplies, so he should’ve bled out. Also somehow it didn’t hit any of his organs?? And he didn’t have any back/spinal damage from the fall?? The stab wound just made a lot more sense lol.

I love Episode 7 so much!! It was so accurate to the game. Also the way they displayed their emotions?? The pining, the awkwardness, and the friendship was so great. I loved it so much. Idk for some reason tv shows can never get teenagers right, they typically write them like they are older than they are.

Episode 8 was the only episode I never rewatched. Even the first time I went to watch it I skipped forward to the end because I had to remind myself they reunite and she’s ok. Bella better get an Emmy for that. Their screams still haunt me.

I get what you mean about mirroring! The finale scene where he tries to take the brunt of the bomb felt like the scene from the game where they jump off the bridge and he puts himself between her and the rock

yes! I saw screenshots before having watched it, so I was assuming they were together the whole time because of the pining between them. like, the look Ellie gave Riley on the merry-go-round?? I totally thought they had been dating for a while lmao they do, yeah! I feel Bella and Storm were really able to capture the teenage gay experience. the staring through the Victoria's Sceret window? the complete adoration of the other? I remember being brought back to my own teenage relationship during that episode :')

totally get that! yes, be safe when watching stuff! I don't skip that episode, but I flip david off the whole time he's on screen and I make sure I'm doing something else for That Scene. I'm very forgetful, so I can't usually get away with skipping scenes/episodes? but I totally get why you would, it's a Bad episode (just the events). I got into reading tlou fics simply for the aftercare of that episode, so skipping to the end just to know they reunite? very smart. Bella does deserve an Emmy for that performance. their acting in that entire episode is just. spectacular. their screams are stuck in my head, too :( VERY worried for the next seasons for that exact reason
