Stiles: *coughs up blood* Promise?
Derek, crying: I promise, baby.
Dereks fangs slid down and he bit into Stiles’ wrist. Locking his fate in with an ancient magic that defied all logical reasoning. The bite is a gift, it has the ability to heal, to bring someone back from the brink of death and yet, it doesn’t always work. He held onto Stiles like if his own life depended on his body accepting the bite. In many ways it did. How could his life go on without his anchor, his love, and his reason for fucking living? Why did he wait so damn long?!?
“Please pull through for me, baby. I can’t, WON’T do this without you. I love you.” Derek repeated this over and over for what seemed like days. Hours went by and there was no change in Stiles’ off grey color skin. He wailed as if he was reliving the fire, the losses of all his family members, the loss of his innocence, and now the loss of his reason for being. As he cradled Stiles against his chest and felt like it was time to let go of his own life as well, he heard it. The thudding of a heart. His heart that resided in Stiles’s chest. Before he could turn him he felt his cheek being held by slender fingers. Soft, warm, and ALIVE!
“Hey my Sourwolf, you weren’t planning on leaving me were you?” He broke and frantically kissed his boy. The kiss was laced with that ancient magic. It cemented their bond in a transcendent way. He FINALLY understood what truly living with purpose meant. He knew then that he’d never take a single moment with this amazing man for granted. “My beloved. Marry me? Please?” Stiles cried and pulled his face so their lips were touching. With a conviction he’d never heard before, he whispered, “a thousand times yes.”

“Look what i’ve found, Haz!” Draco said as they were looking through the attic. He pulled out a box of pictures. They were old, from the 70s in fact. Draco shuffled through the pictures as Harry sat by him.
Harry pulled out a picture of his dad, James, and Sirius lying on the couch next to each other. Another one of Remus and Lily in the library. Marlene and Mary at 3 Broomsticks. James and Peter playing chess. Remus and Sirius kissing. They were all from when they were young, maybe 15 or 16.
“Your dad was fit,” Draco teased. Harry grinned at him and smacked his thigh.
Harry picked up a letter. He read through it carefully.
‘How I miss you. I want to see you. We haven’t talked. You don’t ever want to talk to me. You walk past in the halls and don’t ever say a word. Meet me in the room of requirements tonight. -James.’
We don’t talk enough, we should open up
Harry furrowed his eyebrows as he gathered piles of letters that said almost the same thing.
Before its all too much
He picked up a photograph of his dad and a man he didn’t recognize in their quidditch kits. The man had a Slytherin uniform on. He was number 12, and his dad was 21. His dad had his arms around him and was kissing him deeply.
Draco looked at the picture and gasped. “Is that Regulus?”
“Who?”
“Sirius’s younger brother.” Draco whispered.
They looked at the picture, then at each other. “They’re like us.” Harry mumbled.
Will we ever learn? We’ve been here before.
They read through the letters, detailing their romances. It detailed the way they loved. The secrecy. The way James was so deeply in love with Regulus it hurt.
There was only one letter from Regulus. It said, ‘James, i’m sorry, i’m so fucking sorry. Please forgive me. It wasn’t my choice. It was my parents. Please, I still love you. Please James, I love you.’
Harry’s hands shook as he dropped the letter, going downstairs to find Draco’s that said nearly the same thing. ‘Harry, I’m so sorry. I didn’t want to get it. Please, don’t hold this against me. My parents made me. I still love you. Please, Harry, I love you.’
It’s just what we know.
The last letter from James said. ‘I’m here Regulus. For whatever you need. If you need someone to love i’m here. If you need someone to hurt, im here. I’m sorry.’
Stop your crying baby, it’s the sign of the times.

Mercelot fake dating/friends to lovers AU but they’re never actually fake dating it just has that effect when everyone automatically accepts it and doesn’t think to ask because Merlin and Lancelot have always been a pair when they’re together.
Arthur gets a little jealous of Merlin’s time but they still hang out like before so he’s fine once he realises a relationship doesn’t mean he’s loosing his best friend. Gwen is slightly confused because she always assumed Merlin had a crush on Arthur but he’s absolutely smitten with Lance and now she looks back, they really were always good friends and Merlin set her and Arthur up so that couldn’t be right. She tries talking to him about it, he bursts out laughing when she mentions a crush on Arthur and tells her he just loves them both and wants them to be happy together because they’re both his friends. Then she tells him she’s glad he’s happy too, looking at Lancelot but Merlin completely misses it.
Merlin and Lancelot went to a feast together once, not necessarily as a couple but just to go together because they’re friends and they love each other. Everyone assumes they’re dating, and they act like a couple, and eventually when they’re sat reading magic books in Gaius’ chambers together, Lancelot looks up and casually asks “Would you be upset if I fell in love with you?”
Merlin shakes his head then frowns and looks up, staring at Lancelot for a few seconds until his eyes blow wide and he realises. Then he smiles awkwardly and asks “would you be mad if I just realised I’m already in love with you and probably have been for a while without really thinking about it because I’ve never needed to question my relationship with you?”
And Lance is just like “oh good, I didn’t realise or think about it either until one of the druids asked how long we’ve been married.”
Then they start dating for real, nervously announcing it to a very confused round table where everyone’s just like “We know. You weren’t already? Alright. Congrats, good for you.”
Nothing changes, and they get teased relentlessly for not realising they’re been practically married for years without realising it.
