Hello, folks! I was originally posting MS stuff on @floofgryph, but things have changed now. I suck at playing the MS games, but I'm trying, okay?

Another day, another strategy
Marco, Eri, Tarma, and Fio are in the strategy room, planning their attack against another Rebel Army base. They're almost done strategising, but Tarma realises that something important is missing in the plan.
Tarma: Something is off here...
Marco: *lets out a heavy sigh, anticipating his response* What is it this time?
Eri: *crosses her arms and gives Tarma an unimpressed look* Let me guess… It’s-
Before Eri can say anything else, Tarma slams a toy version of the SV-001 into the centre of the map that's sprawled out across the wooden table.
Tarma: Y'all are forgetting about the Metal Slug, the most precious thing on the battlefield.
Eri smacks her forehead with the palm of her hand as she and Marco want to approach this as a stealth mission. Meanwhile, Fio places Peppino, her teddy bear, on a toy version of the SV-001 for laughs, but it only elicits a chuckle from Tarma.
Marco: Tsk… Fine! We’ll include the SV-001 into the plan.
Tarma: Hell yeah! *he proclaims in triumph as he excitedly run towards the garage*
Eri: For fuck’s sake! I swear on my mother’s grave that Tarma gives me a brain aneurysm.
Fio: It’s okay, Eri. I bet he’ll take good care of it. *patting Eri on the back as a way to comfort her*
Fio grabs Peppino and leaves the strategy room, then makes her way to the garage, where Tarma is checking on the SV-001.
Eri: *she firmly grasps the toy SV-001 in her left hand and glares at it* That son of a bitch will most likely destroy the slug again.
Marco: *he lets out another heavy sigh and covers his face with his hands, regretting his decision* I’m beginning to question why I brought him into this unit…

..now i wanna draw marco as a plant angel
Here's my ranking of all Metal Slug games I've played from most to least favourite:
Metal Slug 3: By far, it's the highest point of the series. It's a literal magnum opus and an instant classic with a good amount of enemy variety and alternative paths.
Metal Slug 2/X: It's almost as good as the third game, but not quite. However, it does perfectly build upon the first game in interesting ways by adding new vehicles, new enemies, new locations, new weapons, and two other playable characters (Eri and Fio).
Metal Slug 1: I believe they're as good as the first two games, but it mostly serves to lay down the groundwork for the other games.
Metal Slug 5: I personally enjoy it a lot, but it's not as good as the original trilogy.
Metal Slug 4: Sadly, it's the lowest point of the series. It's a shame because it has the makings of a great game. However, due to corporate financial troubles, the final product had to be rushed to save money.
This lil' ranking of mine might slightly change in the future, but let's see.

These are the results of my replay of Metal Slug 1, which is much better than what I originally had for my first playthrough. I still died a lot, but I had a somewhat easier time going through the game. I also don't hate Mission 3 anymore due to perfect saving and keeping the SV-001 till the boss.
