We're gonna piggy back offa this to make another announcement for Time Loop

I'm gonna try to update Time Loop every Monday on a consistent schedule. Hopefully at noon (my time), but I can't guarantee that the time will stay the same.

The parts (for this and other stories) are going to be scheduled to post at noon on their chosen days, though depending on several factors, the update announcement won't go out until a bit after the part goes up.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'm not doing tag lists anymore, so the best way to keep track of updates is to subscribe to the masterpost for the story(ies) you want to follow. Or, you can check back every week. Up to you.

I'll keep this thread for update announcements for the other stories, all of which will be tagged accordingly, so come back to this for the next week or so in order to learn to update days for the stories here.

Time Loop, to get back on topic, won't be going up on Ao3 yet. For now, I'm undecided on whether I'm going to post all of it here before moving it or not, so that's still up in the air. I'll have it figured out, soon, though, so....

Announcement for How To Balance And a Kinda Spoiler

I figured I should let ya know that I'm going to be posting the entire story here on Tumblr before editing and posting on Ao3.

I'm gonna try my best to update at noon on Sundays (my time), but I can't really guarantee the consistent time. The day should stay the same, though, until I move it to Ao3.

How I imagine Metropolis got it's name

Person 1: Hey, I need to name this city. Any ideas?

Person 2: You need to name a city?

Parson 1: ...say that again.

Person 2: ..You need to name a city??

Person 1: City....city... It sounds right, but it doesn't roll off the tongue

Person 2: What the hell..?

Person 1: What're other words for 'city'

Person 2: Um...municipality, megalopolis, conurbation, metropolis..?

Person 1: Wait! Say that last one again

Person 2: Metropolis?

Person 1:

Person 2: You're...going to name your city... Metropolis?

Person 1: Great, isn't it?

Person 2: You're city is going to be named City?

Person 1: Yep!

Person 2: ....

Person 2: I quit.

Person 1: You can't quit! We still need to come up with character names! I'm thinking we lean into alliteration

I find them gross, hence the big bold at the beginning of the post.

If Persons C and D are dating, and their respective guardians (Persons A and B) start dating, it isn't too bad, but Persons A and B usually end up married, in which case Persons C and D become siblings. If Persons C and D keep dating after their guardians have gotten married, then that means they're dating their sibling.

Again, I warned the take as controversial because stories with those relationships (Person C's guardian dating/fucking Person D's guardian) give me the ick.

It doesn't matter if Person C and Person D are related by blood, Person A and Person B getting married means that they are now siblings.

It's the same the other way, too.

If Person C and Person D get married, that means that Person A and Person B are now in-laws.

I don't care how closely or far related Persons A and C or Persons B and D are, it's still gross

Controversial Take:

If you have SuperBat in your fic, you cannot have TimKon or DamiJon

If you have TimKon or DamiJon in your fic, you cannot have SuperBat

Now, I'm gonna say this really loudly:

If two people get together, you cannot write their kids as romantic or sexual partners!

If two kids get together, you cannot write their parents as romantic or sexual partners!

If Person A and Person B are dating, Person A's kids cannot date or fuck Person B's kids

If Person C and Person D are dating, Person C's guardian(s) cannot date or fuck Person D's guardian(s)

My dad doesn't like pics of himself (I get that from him). Today, though, was Hawaiian Shirt Friday at his work, and went and bought a Star Wars themed Hawaiian Shirt and he has now been inducted into the club, complete with a tiny palm tree to prove it. He got home and had mom take a pic of him in his shirt. We now have exactly one picture my father knows he is in.

On a side note, he's slowly converting his coworkers to the Dark Side (long live the Empire)
