Criticism is needed for growth. Intellectual hate is needed for growth. Dark academia is not an aesthetic. It is about being critical about what you read and do and striving for knowledge. No, it is not sitting in your room reading Kafka, Dostoevsky or Sylvia Plath and be like, "I am just a girl." It is about actually understanding what the book is about. I have not even bought any of these book because no where in the popular media where these books are romanticised, seem to make it clear what the books are about. I DON'T WANT TO KNOW THAT FRAZ KAFKA IS JUST A GIRL!
