Still trying to figure out how to draw these two but I’ll eventually get there!

Found this drawing from March last year, so I decided to re-draw it nearly an entire year later :)

Re-watching ESMP Season 1 last year was what got me back into drawing, and since then I haven’t slowed down. I think I’ve filled around ten sketchbooks since January last year.

Sometimes when I sit down and think about certain books and characters, one of the things that always come across my mind:

I always forget how young they are.

For example, At school I had accidentally read the sixth book first as I hadn’t been told which one was the first book. Whilst reading that I had the impression that they were around 18. Only when I read the rest of the series in the correct order as someone finally told me, did I realise that Daisy and Hazel were still only around 13-14?

It’s quite tragic (especially as they’re alive during the Second World War), I forgot that in the newest book they were all only 19. These kids were forced to grow up so quickly, not just because of the war, but because of their accidental environments whilst growing up. None of them can ever seem to get a break, and even when they do, something always happens whether that be small or large.

Anyways just thought I’d ramble on about this because it’s food for thought. (I underestimated how busy I would be yesterday so I’m still finishing Valentine’s Day art for certain characters)
