He found a small clearing with a big tree in the center surrounded by flowers and other smaller trees.

Quickly but gently placing you down against the trees and before you could even get a word out he laid down on top of you wrapping his arms around you and burning his face in your chest.

Sighing you soon relaxed and wrapped an arm around him resting on his back and ran your other hand through his hair.

Huffing he quickly eased his tension and squeezed you closer.

The both of you rest like this for a while simply enjoying each other.

“You know you didn't have to do that it's not like they were wrong about me.”

Whipping his head up to look at you offended almost as if you slapped him with your words

“What are you saying of course they were wrong about you! How could you say otherwise!?”

“Because it's why I got cased out from my village. I wasn't pretty enough to bring honor to my family through marriage so they kicked me out.”

It made you happy knowing he cared and quickly bringing his face closer to your own you kissed his forehead stopping his rants on murder.

Starting at you embarrassed he quickly looked away grumbling before hiding his face in your chest again.

You couldn't help but giggle he was so but when embarrassed and continued to rub his fur.

You awoke to the noises of small squeaks and chirps along with the sounds of the morning breeze gently shaking the trees.

Reluctantly you slowly opened your eye not really wanting to get up only to be met with the curious stare of two baby monkeys.

Noticing you awake now the first monkey crawled closer to your face before gentle poking your cheek

Laughing a little seemingly finding this amusing with a hand motion gesture to the other monkey to come join in on this playful poking session of your face

Giggling you finally get up gently setting the monkeys down off the bed before throwing your legs over allowing your feet to meet on the cold floor.

Getting up you stretch your back before walking out of your room with the monkeys following closely behind.

Walking out of your small house you decided a good morning walk would be best for you.

The island you lived on was truly beautiful. Soft green grass, big trees as far as the eye could see, graceful exotic birds of many colors, and a bright clear blue sky to top it all.

Finally reaching your favorite resting spot you stop to take in the view. It was a cliff side with a big peach tree adorned with many thick branches and vines.

Walking a little closer you can’t help but feel at peace here as if nothing can harm you or disturbed your morning relaxation.

After the grueling pains of childbirth, you were met with the crys of a newborn baby. In your hands you were holding a beautiful little (girl/boy) with fur just like (his/her) father.

Handing (her/him) over to Wukong you noticed the tears in his eyes as your baby (girl/boy) stoped crying and stared at him before smiling and giggling a little.

Reaching with (her/his) chubby little hands up and grabbing Wukong face he smiled and laughed a little.

After joining the group it didn't take long for him to grow an attachment to you, especially after every fight he got in you would check him up and down for injuries.

At first, he thought you were calling him weak by assuming he even had wounds from battling such feeble demons but discovering you just cared for him deeply changed his opinion of you.

A bond was formed between you two quickly and soon Wukong was with you all the time! No, seriously he did not leave you alone for a moment.

It didn’t matter if you visiting a town, going on a small walk, gathering fruits and herbs, or even going to the bathroom! Whenever you would bring up his clingy behavior he would brush it off claiming that it was all to make sure you don't get into ‘trouble’ or ‘die’ because you were too weak to protect yourself and to make sure a specific perverted pig didn't creep on you in the bath. you were silently grateful for that portion.

However, didn't matter the activity or time of day Wukong would never show his softness to you in front of others he was too prideful for that.

But alone he was so gentle with you and very physical. Whether he'd wanna lay his head on your lap or chest or have you lay on him he was always cuddling you!

But don't think it was one-sided affection you were giving him all the head scratches he could ever need! He would always purr if you got the spot behind his ear.

What you two are is together. simple together.

This monkey is an absolute menace to society. He does not care what you think about him, only that you know he's great, but he will absolutely ruin your day.

Pranks 24/7 he will literally throw a tree at you for shits and giggles. The mischievous monkey just doesn't know when to stop.

But there are days when be just want to laze around on trees while eating peaches and today happened to be one of those days.

Wondering around you finally spotted a few berry and herb bushes, just the ones you were looking for!

Gently picking and placing a generous amount of the small berries in your basket you move over to the herbs making sure to pull them up by the roots and settle them next to the fruits.

*rustle* *shake*

Whipping your head around hearing the sound of something moving in the bushes behind you are only met with a small rabbit hopping away.

Breathing out a sigh of relief you turn back to continue picking herbs only to be met with a golden furry monkey hanging upside down.

Looking back at it made you laugh! To think you would become friends with the Sun Wukong and no less scared half to death!

Steady... Calm... Slow...

Being with Macaque challenged you in ways no one else had... in ways no one else will...

Gaining the trust of the black-haired monkey took a long time... a very long time... years... Many years...

Being yelled at, lashed out at, pushed away, ignored, you endured it all for your friend... For him.

Being the only one to stay with him for this long with all the mental strain his actions have on you he grew quite fond of you.

Even more than that. He needed you. Desired you. You were the only true friend he had. More so than Wukong…

You often came over to his dojo bringing lunch and making sure he doesn't push his body over its limit.

Sometimes when you would come over he wouldn't be in the training area and you would have to look for him only to find him on the couch wrapping his bleeding body in bandages.

You've helped him wrap them more than you'd wish you’d had to... while giving him an ear full of course about how he needs to be more careful when he goes out.

But there are times when he's not training or busy with his “side jobs” as he puts it and be “bored” enough to come over to your home, you'd often smile at the excuses he'd come up knowing that he really just wanted to see you.

Today though he didn’t come over nor did he yesterday day, or the day after that... worried something might have happened to him you decided you would visit and see if he was at the dojo.

Despite how he acts he never leaves for more than a day without telling you so, as to not upset you... and avoid an ear full...

Grabbing your bag you quickly head over to the secluded home of the monkey demon and let yourself inside.

Silent...

Wandering around you see he's not doing the usual hours-long exercise you often saw. Glancing around a bit more you didn't see him in the small kitchen or on the couch.

Remembering how small his home was there was only one place left to check, that being his room...

Even though you were close enough to him where he could put actual TRUST in you did not mean he was comfortable with you being in his room.

That was a rule he instructed you to follow when he first started allowing your visits, and you had always respected that.

But this was different...

If he was here then he would have long since known you were in his home thanks to his hearing and yet he hasn't come out to see you.

Gradually approaching the door to his room you stopped right in front of it debating whether or not you should knock.

Pushing past your nervousness you gently tapped be door aware of his sensitive hearing.

Silence...

It was deafening silent, almost like it had gotten even quieter...

Thoughts are cut off by the sound of fabric shifting only the be replaced by footsteps approaching the door.

Having regretted your actions slightly now KNOWING he was in there probably resting makes you even more nervous, worried you might have upset him now.

Hearing the knob jiggle as the door slowly creaked open you met the face of a messy-haired monkey who didn’t look amused.

“Thought I told you to never go near my room.”

“Y-yes but when you didn’t come over I was worded something might have happened to you, I don’t mean to bother you if you were resting… I’m sorry.”

Not looking up to meet his gaze you simply stared at your feet waiting to be yelled at again.

“ *sigh* hurry up.”

Whipping your head up you're met with his back as he’s waking inside the room. Quickly following after him you turn and gently shut the door behind yourself.

Looking back seeing him sit on the edge of his bed, elbows resting on his knees looking down at the floor with a black expression.

Making your way next to him noting that he isn’t injured in any way, that for the moment set your heart at ease.

“May I?”

Gesturing with your hand next to him asking to sit on the bed with him, the only response you got back was a short exhale through his nose.

Taking a seat next to him it was silent for a moment, the tension in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife.

“I’m glad your ok. I was worried you might have gotten into another’s fight but I see I probably only bothered you while you were resting.”

“…”

“I don’t wanna take too much of your time from relaxing so I’ll make this quick.”

Reaching into your bag you pulled a medium size box wrapped in black wrapping paper and topped with a red bow.

Finally looking up at you he looked down at your hand holding out the box to him. Slowing taking it he held it in his hands staring at it.

“When I saw it I thought it might be something you’d like so I figure I’d give you an early New Years' gift.”

Slowly peeling back the paper he saw it was a pair of noise-canceling headphones.

Turning with a surprised and confused expression he stared at you.

“Why would you buy this for me?”

“Isn’t it obvious six-ears?”

Smiling at him he turned to look back at the box before placing it down on his nightstand and then looking back at you.

“Why do you care?”

“Huh?”

“Why would care about someone like me.”

Taken aback by his words you thought about it. Why did you care? It’s not like he did anything special. You just noticed someone hurting and wanted to reach out.

“Because you were hurting.”

The shock was all you could read off his face but you continued.

“I thought you might need some help but I didn’t reach out because I pitted you I just wanted to know that you were ok and after a while, I started to care for you even more. It's as simple as that.”

He didn't know what to say. I mean what would he even say to that?

Reaching out you place your hand on his smiling at him you lean closer to him and rest your forehead on his.

Affection is something Wukong thought he would only feel will this little monkey friends and MK at least in the platonic friendly way.

But seeing you for the first time. So gentle and warm. Changed his opinion on it.

Becoming friends with you was easy enough. A few witty jokes and smart remarks as well as a plenty of amazing story’s to last a lifetime had you fond of him from the start.

Days. Weeks. Months. Time seem to pass by the more you spent time with the magic monkey.

You two had become so inseparable that you’d take turns staying at the each other’s homes.

This week happens to be the week Wukong comes over to your home for your regular “sleepover’s”

The sound of tapping on a glass window in the living room could be head throughout your decently sized apartment.

‘He’s a little early today’

Glancing at the digital clock on your microwave it badly read 6:30 PM.

Quickly placing each bun on a piece of parchment paper you then gently place the buns on the already prepared tray before placing the tray in a steamer on the stove.

After washing your hands and drying them you quickly made your way to the window opening the curtains.

Smiling down at you fondly, palm resting on the glass as he stared at you. Opening the window to finally let him in-

Stepping down from the fire escape and into your apartment he takes a deep breath in throw his nose. Shoulders visibility relaxed. He was no doubtable enjoying the smell of your cooking.

“Smells so good in here, like fresh peaches! Did you cook something?”

Looking at you with curious and amused eye with maybe a little wonder in them.

“Yeah. I figured you might be hungry when you stopped by so I made something with your favorite!”

He was almost at a loss for words. You thought to make something for him? And based on the smell it was definitely with his favorite!

Leading his hands up he cupped your cheeks looking at you with what could only be described as admiration in his eyes.

“Aww peaches you didn’t have to!”

“I know but I wanted to. You mean a lot to me so don’t think anything of it!”

The rest of the day was the two of you sitting on the couch eating peach buns and watching movies cuddling.
