β¨ Just like any other day, the golden hue of the temple, keeping the Map of the Samadhi Fire away from the wrong hands, reflected onto the sky and created a vibrant gradient resembling the vivacity of the sun. The sight of streams filled with crystal clear waters and delicately decorated with bright pink lilies sitting upon round, floating leaves.
β¨ Within the corridors of the temple, through the flaming etchings onto golden architecture and marble walls, Nezha guarded patiently for the slightest unusual activity. The soft breeze from outside sounded so loud against his ears that he listened carefully to any eerie movements that echoed in the temple.
β¨ A quick swift of wind was felt on his skin; Nezha drew his spear in a flash and pointed inches away from your face, better known as the younger sibling of the Third Lotus Prince. Nezha sighed in relief before placing his weapon down and out of his siblingβs face.
β¨ βY/N. . .Please donβt startle me like that. What if I have seriously injured you.β His body loosens from tension before staring back at you with sincere eyes. His face may not show it, but he feared what would have happened if he proceeded. You only gave your older brother a sly smirk in response.
β¨ βI was only testing your reflexes. Nothing else.β Out of the pair, you were the more free-spirited and lenient compared to your older brother, which created an interesting dynamic between the two of you.
β¨ Again, Nezha remained stoic during his patrol, and you stood beside him without saying a word. Nezha looked at you and decided to speak. βArenβt you meant to be guarding the entrance? What if someone gets in and tries to infiltrate the temple?β Nezha reminded his younger sibling about their duties while speaking gently yet solemnly.
β¨ You wiped off your smirk and replaced it with a faint frown. βI understand Nezha. Itβs just that I donβt want these duties to take away time from you and me being together, alright?β Ever since the Samadhi Fire has been contained within the rings and located far away, you and Nezha have spent little to no time together outside your workspace.
β¨ Nezha paused for a minute and thought about what you said. He could understand that sombre look on your face. Then, his hand began to lean over and rested on their shoulder before giving you an optimistic look. βListen. After completing our duties today, I promise we will go someplace. Somewhere peaceful and relaxing.β After hearing those words, you couldnβt help but hug your big brother and hold onto him tightly.
β¨ Caught off guard, Nezha was surprised by your reaction over a small promise but slowly gave in and hugged you back while cracking a small smile. As your happiness was his happiness, and he will do anything to be the best brother youβll ever have. Once the both of you let go and returned to your stance, you smiled and spoke again.
β¨ βWhat do you want to do when weβre finished? Check out the mortals down on Earth or get a bit mischievous~β You then gave Nezha a smug look that reminded him of a certain simian. Nezha groaned the minute he saw your face and looked away briefly.
β¨ βY/N, please stop smiling like that. You remind me of Sun Wukong.β Your older brother said before looking back at you and your usual smile. βI know. Thatβs why I use it so often.β In a teasing tone, you made the smug face again, leaving Nezha to look away again.
β¨ βI know, and I hate it.β He spoke through clenched teeth, holding in annoyance, and you chuckled in amusement. Despite his younger sibling's immature behavior, he couldnβt help but adore and cherish you more than anything.Β

β¨ Gazing down upon the mortal realm, you smiled at how lovely the days seemed but decided to visit Nezha at his temple. Both you and Nezha planned together that you'll be stargazing tonight after completing his duties.
β¨ But once you arrived, your eyes widened in shock after seeing a damaged temple before you. You swiftly searched where Nezha could be under the rubble and even tried desperately calling out his name.
β¨ After minutes, possibly hours of searching to find Nezha, you had no luck. A feeling of dread overwhelms you as you feel your heart tighten painfully, and you can't help falling down on your knees and crying.Β
β¨ βY/N. . .β You heard a soft-spoken Nezha from behind, and you saw him as you turned your head. Clothes ripped off and severally covered in wounds and bruises. He seemed very weak, as standing looked difficult for him, and as you approached him, he fell into your arms.
β¨ You decided to take him to your temple, which thankfully was not too far away from Nezha's temple. As you helped him walk, the both of you eventually arrived and told him to lay down on your bed while you looked for the First Aid.
β¨ Once you found it, you disinfected the wounds, cleaned the blood from his skin, and carefully closed the wounds with bandages. As much as you wanted to ask Nezha what happened, but his face showed he needed some time before talking.
β¨ After finally finishing aiding his injuries, Nezha quietly muttered. "I failed," You turned your attention to him as you raised a brow to hear him repeat himself. "I failed my duties." He sounded burnt out, judging from his tone of voice. You've known Nezha for a long time, and from what you learned, he tends to work himself too much without taking a break.
β¨ "Well, I'm certain that's not true-" You tried to reassure him, but Nezha immediately cut you off. "It is!" He snapped at you, and you were frightened by the sudden tone shift. "The Map of the Samadhi Fire fell into the hands of Sun Wukong, and then the Lady Bone Demon took that power and nearly destroyed the world!" Flames of anger flashed in his eyes for a moment while you were ever more concerned than before.
β¨ He realised what he had done, so he calmed down and breathed slowly yet heavily. "Apologies for my love. You aren't aware of what has been happening as of late." You noticed how his body looked tense and you knew this little outburst will put some pressure on the wounds. "Here." You softly spoke as you positioned yourself on the bed and massaged his shoulders whilst avoiding his wounds.
β¨ "When you're ready, you can talk about what happened." You tell him with a comforting tone, and he feels more at ease once you relax his muscles. "Thank you, Y/N." He explains that the Lady Bone Demon returned, and Wukong foolishly stole the map and gathered all the Rings of Samadhi, which not only led a mortal child to be engulfed by its flame but to be used in her evil schemes.
β¨ You continued to calm him down and prevented his blood from boiling and disrupting the healing process, but you were so worried about Nezha fighting a possessed Monkey King and the possible end to the Earth. "Oh, my poor darling." You expressed your distress for your lover before coming close to his face and giving him a kiss on the lips.
β¨ Then, that's when you notice the dark circles under his eyes, his dried lips, and his overall exhausted state up close. "Nezha. . .You look tired. When was the last time you slept, drank, anything in that matter." You cupped his face with both of his hands.
β¨ "Not since I traced down Wukong in order to get the Rings of Samadhi." He responded with a tired voice. "Wasn't that a month ago?" You replied back, but he didn't answer back while looking guilty.
β¨ You didn't notice, but night had already fallen over Heaven, and you saw all the glorious stars and galaxies that could be seen from your windows. "I'm sorry, Y/N." He held your face gently, sounding sincere and guilty to make you so worried. "There's no need to apologise, Nezha," Your voice sounded compassionate.
β¨ "You had such a rough time since we last saw each other. Please don't beat yourself up anymore." Nezha was moved by your words and hugged you while you heard the muffled crying sounds. You caressed his back comfortingly as he held onto you and whispered sweet things into his ear.
β¨ Once Nezha finished letting out his emotions, you gestured to him to rest his head on your lap, and you massaged his head and caressed his long, dark hair. "The stars sure do look beautiful tonight." You told him, and that's when he remembered his promise to you. "I completely forgot our promise." He recalled, but you responded consolingly, "It's alright."
β¨ "But I promise-" You interrupted him. "It doesn't matter. All that matters now is you." He smiled at how kind-hearted you were towards him and observed the skies in your room. "This may not be the best spot, but having you with me makes the experience even better." Nezha softly said to you. Β

I'd anyone has noticed, on my post of my LMK OC Dajing, I have added new pieces of information, and if anyone's curious about what it means.
I have considered wanting to write a story about Dajing and if she was in the LMK universe.
I was so happy when I saw people making fanart, and I wanted to do something that would engage with everybody like other bloggers on Tumblr have done.
And I love drawing. Don't get me wrong. But with outside life and responsibilities and knowing how time-consuming it will become if I ended up drawing a comic, I know I will scrap the series after the first panel.
I recently got AO3 and saw a lot of other LMK fans writing their stories on the platform. So that's where I will be posting the chapters if you would like to find it.

"MK the Monkie Kid and his friends, alongside other allies such as Sun Wukong, will continue their adventure against their usual foes and facing the same struggles; but with the aid of a new ally - a wild card who may or may not have more influence on their story than initially thought. You can tell this show has a strong grip on me and believe me when I said I learned to draw because of it (I suck berry much tahnk you as some charactersβ expression and looks are references from different episodes). Speedrun this the moment the news about season 5 dropsβ
Not a single day did I not think about angsty monkes and all the possible drama for the upcoming season. And I blame my friend for challenging me to draw the rest of the monkie kid crew + supporting casts. Anyways I had fun drawing it for about a month, doing it during free time. And pls ignore the blown out proportions of the characters XD.
Yes I am with Nezha on this we will die one day but it'll be glorious
