I Really Like Wwdits, But Is It Me, Or Does The Story Not Move Forward?
I really like wwdits, but is it me, or does the story not move forward?
Like, there's baby Colin Robinson at the start of s5 and his and Laszlo's bond, but at the end of the season, Colin Robinson reads all the diaries and has no recollection of the entire season. Then there's Guillermo becoming a vampire, and his slow transition, and at the end of the season, boom, he's not a vampire anymore. S3 is all about the vampires running the vampiric council, but then none of those duties are dealt with again after starting the nightclub, and there are no repercussions whatsoever.
These are just some of the examples I can think of, probably there are more. This could be because they are vampires and so things change at much slower rates as they have such long lives. Yet, it's a little weird that none of the changes really stick.
There's adult Colin Robinson who has dreams of Laszlo being a parental figure, but it hasn't been explored further. There's The Guide who says she's been waiting at the vampiric council headquarters at the start of the Morrigan Manor Episode.
I don't know, just something I observed.

I excused myself and am enjoying the rest of the event, all by my lonesome.
Happy at last.
Guys, I'm third wheeling so hard, i should get an award.
Lemme set the stage. There's this event in which me and an acquaintance are dancing together. So, we decided to get dressed in her room (im in uni). Anywho, she invited her bf as well to get dressed there. I was almost done putting my clothes on when he showed up. And istfg it's so bloody awkward. Also, her bf and I have a weird interaction as in we have only evet hung out when there's substances involved. And on one fateful occasion, i got super drunk and puked on him and i was admitted to the ER at 2 in the morning. As for the girl, i essentially ghosted her after us and a few friends in our first year (read, we were dumbfucks) decided to go on a trip and i finally ended up not going because of differences in opinion with her.
So, rn, all this history is packed into a tiny fucking room. And im going to die.
Bye bye.
Reminds me of Daniel Radcliffe talking about Rupert Grint on some talk show.

Stede really believes the things that are said about him. He believes it when Chauncey calls him a monster and a plague who defiles beautiful things. He believes it when he’s told he’s a failure, a lily-livered little rich boy. He believes it when Izzy tells him that he caused Ed’s spiral. He may even believe it when Ed accuses him of playing with people like toys. He believes it when Zheng calls him mediocre.
What’s wonderful there is that, even though he believes it, he also fights against the tendency in himself. He believes that Ed loves him and that he deserves that love. He believes that he can help his crew be better people and make a better life for themselves because HE wants to be a better person and make a better life for himself.
Stede hears everything that is said about him and believes it, but it’s also not true. He’s not mediocre; he’s really quite exceptionally talented. He’s not lily-livered; he’s exceptionally brave. He doesn’t defile beautiful things; he brings light and beauty into the world by being kind and loving against all odds. He succeeds his way on his terms, not through will to power or by becoming someone different, but by bringing more and more of his self to the surface, expanding and breathing free. He’s not boxed in.

I think that’s very cool.
