finally got around to revamping my tags page to a system of organization that makes sense, and most importantly also fixed the layout to work with 540px images because I was sick of it butchering their resolution.

I really want to give oddhour’s photo/photoset fix a shout-out because, unless I’m completely missing it, tumblr code allows for auto resizes of larger images to 500px or smaller for layouts - but does not seem to actually include the same for the 540px that I and the dash use!  (۶ૈ ᵒ̌ Дᵒ̌)۶ૈ=͟͟͞͞ ⌨

but basically now my older imagesets with really clean lines or text still look okay, and now the new ones in 540px are also legible as well

it’s kind of rough when you hit those patches of art where your expectations and your theoretical knowledge have surpassed the quality level of your actual art by like a million miles and you’re left to either wallow in anger at yourself or to redraw something a lot of times from scratch until you stop making the mistakes you can see but can’t quite avoid yet.

I like the rendering on the first one but the depth and composition and colors weren’t what I wanted and I am slowly learning how to get them there over the course of this picture. But I am trying, you guys!

I wasn’t sure about posting this, but I think painting is sometimes the only way I know how to open up and share my feelings with other people.
