ah man what have I been up to for months - definitely not any finished pieces lbr. pretty much just having irl meltdowns and work stress and painting unfinished pictures of blonds I guess?

Got so much fucked up shit going on right now that doing anything that takes effort feels like it’ll break me, but on the upside, 17-year-old-me would have killed to be able to just sit down and paint like this so it’s a reminder not everything is terrible.

I return, my friends. With a new fandom eating me up from the inside.

(I started coming up with fairly elaborate design aesthetic headcanons during the first book that I was pretty sure weren’t on track... until I got to the later books and decided, nope, this is a civilization that uses marble and wood on the interior of their space ships, I cannot feel even remotely bad for pushing the baroque elements)

I’m a pretty strong believer that most folks emphasize (often very unnoticeable until compared) lines in their art based on their own face and what they like about faces. That said I have no idea how anything I draw looks like me, especially since I had to scrounge around just to find a selfie where my eyebrows looked less desperate than ted cruz’s.
