That reminds me, my spouse and I grew up with emotionally immature adults, and didn’t have safe people to tell us, for example, that making a mistake usually isn’t a big deal. As you might imagine, we’re learning some things in adulthood.
Like from this scene in My Mister! It was so moving, but also taught us that we can reassure each other that xyz mistake or a request we make/reject isn’t a big deal (and it almost always isn’t), so there’s no need to beat ourselves up like we’re inclined to.
It’s a small thing, but this little thing we’ve done for each other is in turn a kindness to ourselves. My spouse and I deserve not to feel guilty for making innocent mistakes or deciding not to fulfill requests, and ultimately whatever mistake we make or request we turn down is not a big deal anyway.
This is your reminder, if you need it, that it’s not a big deal. 💕
Dean:

They just had gay sex

yeah deanbenny and drowley fucked but dean was in love with cas while it was happening
maybe I'm projecting but like. John being *too* emotionally open is part of parentification too. putting your grown-up worries on a kid and expecting them to deal with it like a peer instead of like a child, one who is constantly looking for your approval and whose sense of safety (or danger) rests on the image you project for them... I'm not saying it's bad that John cries and is obviously in pain, or that he should instead be stoic like he tries to be too, but showing those depths of despair to your child is not how you should be treating a 6 year old. and yet......
"I should kill myself": self-serving, reactionary
"we should all kill ourselves": building community and connection, ideologically correct
do you ever become obsessed with a character and you just go "of fucking course its that one" at yourself because you are so incredibly predictable
One of the things that always drives me insane is seeing people try to work out coherent chronology and continuity of the Mad Max series, and the thing that makes me crazier is when people push back on this by being like "it's a dumb movie about crazy driving and explosions! it doesn't NEED to make sense!" because in reality the lack of a defined chronology or continuity is a feature, not a bug, and the reason for it is not that the movies are too dumb to be held to that standard, it's that the movies are much smarter than anyone trying to Figure Them Out give them credit for
Time traveling destiel fic where later series Cas ends up in Stanford Era Dean’s timeline.
It goes as usual, Dean soon finding the dorky angel odd and endearing. Enjoying how well Cas seems to know him and even starting to like all the staring.
At some point, Dean finds the mix tape in Cas’s pocket, immediately recognizing the handwriting and clocking the traxx and what that means. Because he knows this was his go to move when he really liked someone. He listens to the tape with the songs he picked, and he knows, without a doubt, future him is in love with Cas.
Chaos ensues.
It's okay if you don't feel tough. It's okay to be soft and emotional.
Something you should always remember about every single person you see on this site is that they are a tumblr user. They are the kind of person who uses tumblr
reminder that indigenous queer folks do not need to fit your colonial definitions or conceptions of queerness in order to be valid, worthy, and spectacular.
if your concept of what a lesbian looks like requires that all lesbians have shaved or short hair, then you’re excluding ntv lesbians who honour our ancestors by growing our hair long.
i’m no less of a butch for having hair that goes down to my tailbone. i’m no less of a butch for wearing my hair in a braid. i’m also still butch when i wear beaded earrings, a ribbon skirt, and moccasins.
if your idea of queerness is tied to whiteness, that’s just a shame. indigeneity and queerness go together like inhaling and exhaling. one cannot exist without the other.
cas is sitting in the back seat and he's trying to sign up for a monthly tabloid using his phone browser or something and he's mad because he has to put in a last name and he doesn't have one and dean just blurts out "well you can just use mine then". meanwhile sam is just sitting there.

United Front: Breasts Without the Airbrush
The shocking thing about Laura Dodsworth’s pictures of 100 women’s breasts isn’t the flesh on show, or the many shapes and sizes, but the realisation that images of unairbrushed, non-uniform breasts seem to be so rare. “We see images of breasts everywhere,” says the 41-year-old photographer, “but they’re unreal. They create an unflattering comparison but also an unobtainable ideal. I wanted to rehumanise women through honest photography.”
