Actors have a lot to do with how a character is received by the audience - you can have a well written character that is mangled by a badly cast actor, or a poorly written character that is elevated by a great performance. For better or worse, Noah’s performance is what gives Will his ‘heart’. Doesn’t mean anyone has to like him just because they like the character, and they shouldn’t feel bad for that.

Good is true. But the actor is not the character. The character is who the writers build, the charm he has on the audience can depend on different factors, but when I say I adore Will, it's because of the character and not because of his actor. Noah is not Will. They look the same, and it's Noah who plays him, but he's still not Will.

You adore Will cos of Noah's performance. You can't say it's cos of the writing cos he does not speak much and when he does it's meaningful

Not really. I didn't know Noah existed until Stranger Things, and I didn't care until I started noticing Will's character. How much I love him is because I identify with him and I quite like his construction, it doesn't have much to do with the actor. Maybe he doesn't seem like a very developed or interesting character to you, but for me he's already a little piece of me. Will, not Noah.

Furthermore, although in recent seasons Will does not have many lines, he has been a key character throughout the series, that is undeniable. He identifies me and I like his development and construction, and I would like him to have a happy ending above all after everything that has happened. He is an important character for me. Noah has nothing to do with the love I have for Will, because he is simply that, his actor. It's not Will, he's his interpreter. I love the character the Duffers have built. That's all.

okay say queerbaiting or milkvan endgame all you want but i have yet to see any plausible heterosexual explanation for the following

- the airport hug

he was happy to hug will in season 3 and happy to hug lucas in season 4. when the entirety of the show has made it clear that mike and will share the more profound bond (destiel iykyk) out of the party it makes no sense for him to not want to hug him- unless it’s because of his queer realisations atm

- ‘we’re friends, WE’RE FRIENDS’

um it is simply not plausible that mike clocked wills feelings enough to say this yet didn’t pick up what he was putting down in the van speech. bffr mike was absolutely on the defensive here, mans was trying to convince himself

- mike looking at eddie

you’re telling me you watched the scene in episode one where eddie has his ‘if you’re inTo baNd’ speech and still think mike isn’t a homo? he has a lil fanboy crush on eddie and none shall convince me otherwise

- mikes reaction to el kissing him and i love you too

there is no heterosexual reason for him to look so taken aback and distressed after her kiss and her saying she loves him too. the music and els face all suggest a beautiful moment of love but mikes face looks shocked completely contrasting this. esp contrasted against his face at ‘what if you wanna join another party’ and considering his face when he hugs karen at the end of s3. up till then he had made no effort to try and rekindle their relationship but still wanted to see her and talk to her while she was away. ur gonna look at me and ur gonna tell me that i’m wrong

- ‘i care for you so much’

yes i understand that some people have trouble saying i love you- as we see with nancy and steve. bUt the way this is framed in this scene makes it feel queer. he is deflecting he says he cares for her but can’t say he loves her. this is why i’m a gay mike truther this feels like he’s trying so hard to be someone he’s not but he’s reached his limit. he can’t truly say he loves her until under so much duress and pressure. even when he first said ily in season 3 was just a slip up and significance was only given to the words through everyone else’s reactions, not mikes own reaction.

- ‘mrs byers has this new job, mikes always complaining about it’

im sure i butchered this quote but we KNOW him and el only talked on walkies because she couldn’t talk on the phone for dead of the government figuring out she was alive. this line proves mike called plenty and he can only have been calling to talk to will. while yes it is feasible that he was calling as friends, why wouldn’t he say something? leaving this revelation until the last season makes it significant, and therefore makes it romantic and queer.

- shared looks

do i even need to explain. their looks are just fucking gay. especially that one in season 3 where wills like he’s here and mike just keeps staring at him for a good while

- the emphasis on lucas and mikes friendship

they make clear in season 1 that lucas is mikes best friend by mikes convo with dustin. and in season three their status as best friends is made clear because they relate and complain to each other all the time. then WHY throughout the WHOLE show is mike and wills bond given the most focus??? season 1 will is mikes motivation, season 2 he is his priority, season 3 they have an important arc and season 4 they have ups and downs but ultimately their relationship is regarded as most important- they are the only two from the original party who have consistently been paired together. dustin and lucas were both in the hawkins crew but were always in separate groups. there is no heterosexual reason to make clear who mikes best friend js then spend 4 seasons focused on his relationship with will.

- framing

there is no heterosexual reason to frame him in a closet at the milkvan season 3 kiss. there is no heterosexual reason to put a one way sign pointing to his closet. there is no heterosexual reason to pair him and will in the closing shot alongside two other endgame couples. need i say more.

- blue and yellow

obviously this colour symbolism is undeniable at this point. whether or not ppl believe it symbolises their relationship or just their characters, it’s clear that will is yellow and mike is blue. there’s a reason we barely see green clothing or lighting. there’s a reason mikes bouquet to el had purple (her colour) but too much yellow (will). there’s a reason their flannels always have hints of the other persons colour.

- will as mikes priority

instead of coming crawling back to el for forgiveness in s3 he goes to will. he says his life started when he found el (a lie like the rest of that speech) yet when will went missing he only cared about him. all of season 2 showed that he loves will so much he wouldn’t leave his side ever.

i have many other opinions about why milkvan endgame would completely undermine so many messages of the show but yeah i’ll stop for now

CRYING, SCREAMING, SOBBING UNCONTROLLABLY

Mike in s4 makes me kinda sad honestly that boy was trying SO HARD to keep himself in check and pass as a normal straight guy in love with his girlfriend. He thought about everything, he put on clothes that he thought would make him look cool in her eyes, he brought flowers, gave her a kiss, tried to have fun with her and be a good boyfriend but none of this worked and now she's pushing him to say something that he feels for someone else. He's there trying so so hard to pretend he doesn't care about his best friend, that he's not jealous about the painting he made for someone else, he avoids touching him, avoids talking to him and looking at him but the feelings don't go away, he still loves him and not her and in the end he knows that there's nothing he could pretend to be that will ever change this part of himself

what if mike and will grew up. figured out their shit and confessed their feelings in the most romantic way. they kiss and smooch. and even. make out sometimes. they grow up and they share a cute little house. on the edge of town. they can hold hands on the front porch and kiss each other in the driveway. and one day. mike says. "hey i want to have a kid with you." and will's heart beats nearly out of his chest and he has that big smile on his face. you know the smile. the big one with the teary eyes. and they adopt a little son and will's heart is too full about mike being a dad. a good dad. and mike feels like he's really living each day to the fullest, he has it all now. and then their little son gets. possessed. by some evil force. yikes. what if.

En mi opinión byler es mejor que mileven por muchisisisisimos motivos, pero haré una lista.

1-Mike y Will se entienden entre sí mucho mejor de lo que lo hacen Once y Mike, esto se ve por ejemplo en la temporada 4 cuando Mike y Once pelean porque Mike no sabe decirle a Once que la ama y ella NECESITA que se lo diga pero él no puede explicarle que no puede, por otro lado, Mike y Will tienen una conversación acerca del distanciamiento de su amistad y podemos notar que es mucho más cercano, más íntimo, se entienden el uno al otro y no hace falta palabras de afirmación porque ya lo saben.

2-Ni Mike ni Once se sienten cómodos con el otro del todo. Cuando Once está con Mike, finge tener muchos amigos en California y que es genial aunque le hacen bullying ahí, por otro lado, Mike deja de jugar a DnD cuando está con Once, pero cuando ella se va, él vuelve a jugar. Además de que Mike mencionó en una conversación con Will que se siente inseguro en su relación porque siente es menos que Once o que vale menos. Sin embargo, Will y Mike se sienten cómodos el uno con el otro, se cuentan sus problemas y se apoyan, todo el tiempo. Pasan tiempo juntos haciendo cosas que a ambos les gustan.

3-Mileven es tóxico. Así es, suelto la bomba. Fingen ser quien no son con el otro, Mike deja de salir con sus amigos para estar con ella (cosa que puede ser entendible por la edad, pero sigue estando ahí) se mienten el uno al otro, no se sienten cómodos, cuando pelean no se disculpan. Por otro lado, byler es lo opuesto. Hacen cosas juntos, son su mejor versión con el otro, se dicen casi siempre la verdad (a excepción de sus crushes), se sienten cómodos con el otro y lo buscan, se cuidan y aseguran de estar cerca del otro tanto física como emocionalmente, y cuando pelean siempre se disculpan y arreglan las cosas (como dato que demuestra esto, tenemos en la temporada 3, cuando Mike y Once pelean porque Mike mintió, el después de la pelea es un momento feliz y agradable, Once con Max, descubriéndose a si misma, Mike tranquilo en su sótano comiendo papas fritas y quejándose. Sin embargo, ese mismo capitulo, cuando Mike y Will pelean es todo lo contrario. El momento es sombrío y triste, y el después de la pelea es devastador, con Will destruyendo el castillo Byers, su lugar seguro, y Mike corriendo en mitad de la lluvia para pedirle perdón)

4-Es lo mejor para los tres. Mike se siente insuficiente con Once. Once se siente encerrada con Mike. Will se siente miserable y que nadie lo puede amar por su orientación. Cuando Once está por si misma se empodera. Cuando Mike y Will están juntos están completos, felices, amados.

Tengo que hablar de algo muy importante. Si, paralelos de Byler con It.

Mucha gente lo compararía con Reddie (Eddie y Richie) pero narrativamente no encajan del todo, a pesar de sí tener similitudes.

Lo que quiero decir es que hay un triángulo amoroso en ambos universos.

Un triángulo amoroso en el que dos personas buscan el amor de ese interés romántico, el cual es bastante despistado al respecto. Uno de los personajes enamorados le hace un regalo al interés romántico, pero este piensa que el regalo es de parte del otro personaje, el que es más fácil de amar.

Por si no es obvio, me refiero al paralelo de Beverly siendo quién Bill y Ben quieren contra el de Mike siendo quién Once y Will quieren.

Ben/Will le daría un regalo hecho desde lo más profundo de su corazón a Beverly/Mike, quien piensa que el regalo es de Bill/Once, y prefieren no discutirlo a pesar de que no tenga mucho sentido porque es más fácil amarlos, en el caso de Beverly, es más fácil amar a Bill debido a que (si, seré cruel) es más atractivo. En el caso de Mike, es mucho más fácil amar a Once, porque ella es una chica.

Tienen que pasar 27 años para que Beverly por fin se dé cuenta de que ese regalo nunca fue de Bill y estuvo detrás de la persona incorrecta. (Y al final termina con Ben)

Si el paralelo es como yo pienso, Byler siendo endgame es más fácil que nunca.

He estado pensando, y tengo un detalle que nadie se había fijado por lo que he visto que refuerza la teoría del Flickergate.

Iré por partes

"La semana es larga": Al principio de S4 escuchamos a Once escribir una carta a Mike, diciendo que Joyce dice que el tiempo parece más corto o más largo dependiendo de nuestras emociones, esto porque ella dice que esas semanas se le han pasado volando.

Los Byers y Once llevaban 6 meses en California, pero cuando Mike y Will hablan del tiempo que llevan separados dicen que ha pasado un año.

—"Ha pasado un año, Mike."

—"Llevabas un año sabiéndolo y no me dijiste nada!"

Sin embargo, siguen siendo solo 6 meses.

Esto podría ser por lo que dijo Joyce, al estar Will y Mike separados, sintieron que paso mucho más tiempo, por eso lo de "la semana es larga" porque las semanas siempre duran lo mismo, por las emociones se puede sentir más larga, en este caso, por su separación, ambos sienten que ha sido largo.

El gato plateado es Vecna, que mata a Chrissy.

Se "alimenta" de su vida, sus recuerdos y en si, Chrissy misma.

China es un lugar muy lejano a Estados Unidos, así que podemos interpretarlo como un sitio que está lejos, como el Upside Down.

Pisar ligeramente es pisar sin hacer ruido, con sigilo, es decir, andar con cuidado.

Por lo que:

"El tiempo separados es largo, Vecna mata a Chrissy cuando Will se encuentra con Mike en California, un viaje al Upside Down suena bien, si caminas con cuidado"

Quizá esto no signifique nada y solo este sobrepensando, pero podría significar algo, y en ese caso, darnos una pista de que Mike y Will estarán en el Upside Down, haciendo posible la teoría Flickergate :D
