I was doing value studies today and decided to try and put what I learned to the test and color this sketch. The MTG border was honestly sort of an after thought lol.

This is as far as this sketch was gonna go I think. This was done relatively quickly. Based on a post about reverse story boarding which seemed like a really fun idea and good practice.

I drew this in 2023. Transferred it from clipstudio to procreate which is why there is an absence of guidelines in the time lapse. Just colored it today though. Obviously Parodying @falseknees very funny and meme worthy web comic. They are owed all credit for the bit.

Getting to the end of my backlog of things I’d feel like posting. Lots of WIP illustrations left that I’d rather just finish in my folders now.

A few weeks ago a friend and I gave each other prompts and we had to draw something in an hour. One of them was Time Travel so this was hastily thrown together. I don’t know how panels work, but this was fun.

Evangelion Sketches

Random Evangelion sketches from a couple months ago.

Pretty sure the top two sketches were some figure/gesture practice that I just slapped some Eva aesthetics on top of. The bottom one was me trying to draw something that felt large in scale. Wasn’t very happy with it, but posting it for the sake of chronicling progress!

I was doing art studies one night and I got distracted and sketched that Marcille on the left. And then last night when I was looking through my sketches I got distracted and sketched that one on the right.

So these are about a month or two apart. Only difference is that the one from last night I didn’t use reference (besides for her infamous facial expression) and just slowly cobbled together a figure and gesture that I felt fit. Always makes me feel like all this learnin’ is paying off when I can do that. : )

I’ve been doing another play through recently and have been sketching random scenes and bits that stand out to me. Something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do, but my brain could never translate it onto the page.

Final Fantasy 9 - Dagger the White Mage

This was my first illustration I’ve ever actually finished and it’s of my favorite game ever - Final Fantasy IX.

Princess Garnet aka Dagger. Love the design of the white mage robes. Hood alternate that I didn’t use.

I adore this game. There’s probably going to be a lot of FF9 art in my future once I feel confident enough to do some pieces.

I’m a relatively new artist just looking to get better and I wanted a place to chronicle my progress. I’ve been doodling for a while, but I started studying in earnest about a month ago.

I’ve got some backlog to upload so it’s going to be some of that for a while.

Sketches, studies and maybe something actually finished here and there.
