DAY 9: SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

pairing: quill kipps x gn!reader

summary: you and quill know each other so well, you could almost finish each others sentences

warnings: short! short! short!

notes: i just made a drabble out of this

"no way!" quill said loudly when he unpacked the present you had just given to him. you watched him pull the sweater out of it's box. he held it up against his chest for you to see

"isn't that the funniest thing ever?" you asked laughing and quill nodded

"you won't believe that" he smiled, while reaching for your present. george, lucy and lockwood sat in silence watching it unfold.

you opened the present quickly, nearly falling out of your seat from laughing. in your box was the same sweater quill had just unpacked before. well not exactly the same, but it's other half.

"go put it on!" lucy directed and you and quill left the room.

when you came back, the others broke into laughter. you were both wearing sweaters reading the words 'all i want for christmas is you'

his was green while yours was red and when you stood next to each other the fingers on the sweater pointed to each other.

"okay" george nodded "that is quite funny"

you and quill sat back down in your seats.

"and you didn't plan that?" lockwood asked.

"no" you and quill shook your heads.

"what a surprise" you smiled and he nodded.

Alsooo i wanted to ask a question (💋)

Looking at your list of fics you're going to write/currently writing, that is an insane amount of stuff!! I'm honestly SO impressed by that, let me just say that. But where do you get the inspiration and motivation to write that much? I wish I could do 10% of what you do tbh

thank you!! it’s honestly an up and down. most of the times when i’m trying to force myself to write i don’t really get far. so i really need that inspiration to keep going.

when i write i mostly listen to taylor swift (obvi) but i do have to set the mood. so if i’m writing something enemies to lovers based i search up a playlist on spotify (sometimes other artists but still mostly taylor swift) that helps me so much to keep on track.

sometimes i need to scroll a bit through tumbler before something comes to mind and most times i’m just a pretty mood depending writer, where i’ll write like 20 words for a wip and then get bored because i’m not in the mood anymore.

it helps so much being hyperfixated on the people i write for! because then i do read other people’s fics and can nail characteristics better. so there was a time when i was absolutely obsessed with lockwood and i put out fic after fic. i still love him as a characters but not as much as i did. so now it’s a bit easier for me to write for theo or mattheo because i haven’t written so much for them yet and i feel like there’s only so much you can write for a character before you have said everything and aren’t inspired anymore.

i think scenery and vibe do take a big part in that! so switching scenes to the wizarding school definitely gives more material to write about again.

also and most importantly: it’s the people that comment and like my stories that keep me motivated. it just makes me so happy to read that i could make someone else happy with something i wrote!! such a crazy thought in my opinion and i will forever be grateful that there are people out there who read what i write!!

Alright so I'm average height (for a girl), curly hair, hazel eyes. I'm shy and reserved around people I don't know, a loud and maybe a little annoying around people I know and like. I can be sarcastic and sometimes I'm a little mean even tho I don't really like that about myself. I struggle with procrastination. I love pretty things, and cute things, especially baby animals. I have strong opinions about things I like and dislike. I try my best to be as kind as possible to everyone I meet, and I have a tendency to overdo it in that department. at first i thought about george, but now i feel like you and lucy would be an even better match!

she does tend to be more sarcastic than good for her sometimes, but she genuinely loves her family and i feel like you two would LIVE the grumpy x sunshine trope.

i think even though lucy isn't usually the type to pick flowers or collect things in general i think she would collect them just to show you. she would probably think something along the lines of "hmm she could like that, maybe i should take that rock with me" and then that would continue on the whole way home.

you would probably be wondering why she is taking so long and finally, when shes back it takes like more than 5 minutes for her to unload all the pretty things she collected just because she thought of you

and you would probably do all your hobbies with her in mind. knitting lucy a sweater (because she loves those duh), reading together and starting a two woman book club (lockwood wanted to join but you forbid him), and painting her pictures of your two together
