Can You Write A George Karim X Reader Fic With Early Morning Cuddles?

pairing: george karim x reader

summary: early morning cuddles, mostly just fluff

you stretched you arms out, turning around in the bed and facing, what was meant to be your boyfriend. but to your worry, the side of the bed was empty, covers thrown away lazily and no trace of the boy you loved. there was a moment of hesitation, in which you considered just screaming his name, scared that something has happened, but before you could do anything, you heard the familiar scraping of a pen on paper.

as you looked up towards the desk, you could see the back of his head.

"Georgie?" you mumbled, voice still raspy, the tiredness not having left your body just now.

"oh!" he turned around to look at you "you're awake already" he had to snicker at the state of your hair, you always messed it up with your hands while you slept. not even his own hair was safe from it.

you threw a look towards the clock at your right and understood why George was questioning why you were already awake. it was only six.

"why are you up, baby?" you muttered and Georges cheek tinted pink by the nickname. but there was only so much you could see of his face, considering that it was so early and you were living in London. "come back to bed, so we can sleep some more"

George contemplated, before he finally shook his head "I'm sorry, y/n" he said "I really have to finish this"

"ugh" you replied "can't you continue working at like nine or something? if it's lockwood who's--"

"--it's not lockwood" George interrupted "I really want to finish this"

"do it later" you tried again "please, baby. come back to bed"

George had already turned around to his desk, when his head suddenly shot in the air at your words. the usage of the nickname seemed to absolutely confuse and flatter him at the same time. he threw a last look to the writings on the desk, before he got up and crossed the room.

as he came closer you could see how red his face had gotten. he took of his glasses and crawled into bed beside you.

"alright" he said, opening his arms, so you could lay on his chest "just promise me that lockwood won't ever find out about that nickname, okay?"

"you don't like it?" you pouted, turning your head so you could catch his eyes, he was already looking at you.

"of course I do" he took great offence to you thinking otherwise. "it's just-- I mean, you know lockwood. he wouldn't shut up about it"

"lockwood is a dick" you nodded, thinking back to that head size drawing you had done on the thinking cloth. you had never spent as much time fighting a ghost, then you had painting that picture of lockwood getting his head bitten off by a shark.

"I love you y/n" George muttered, while his eyes slowly closed. his hair was tickling your forehead and you smiled at the overworked boy, your overworked boy. glad that he was getting some sleep now, even if you practically had to flirt him back to back

is arms were draped around you, while you snuggled your head into the crouch of his neck, planting a kiss next to his collarbone, before you returned to your position on his chest.

"night, baby" you responded and watched as Georges cheeks grew flustered once again. then you closed your eyes. still wrapped up in the boy by your side.

it didn't even take a week, until lockwood heard of your new nickname for George, making fun of it the whole time the team was on a mission. later that day, you drew another piece of art, which featured lockwood being chased by a killer, holding an axe, while you and George stood next to them, getting married.

hopefully that scenery would come true some day. well at least half of it, you didn't really believe in weddings that much.

Enemies To Lovers George Karim X Reader PLEASE!!

pairing: george karim x reader

summary: the team has to work together with quill kipps, for George that means being stuck with the best friend of the blonde leader, y/n. the only person in the whole world that seemed to be smarter than him, that's why he hated her.

George Karim was not entirely the nicest person, at least not to his close friends. that usually differed with other people, with them he was nice and tried his best not to grow aggravated as them when they didnt know a simple fact

it was different with y/n l/n though. she had been in Kipps' team for the past two years and what Quill Kipps was to Lockwood, y/n was to George. it was mostly the concept that she seemed to be a bit more intelligent as him and literally succeed at anything she tried.

it wasn't hard for him to hate her. intelligence and knowledge had always been his thing. but to George's dismay, Barnes had gotten Lockwood to accept the helping hand of Kipps, which normally wouldn't have been a problem, if he hadn't decided to bring his best friend, y/n with him.

"look at this" George exclaimed, while Lockwood, Lucy, Kipps, y/n and him were sitting at the kitchen table, researching the case they were about to take on together "seems like the ghost has a connection to Heather Abbott"

"the actress?" Kipps asked confused

"precisely" George nodded "she received her second Oscar in 1977 and then, two weeks later, she disappeared suddenly. here, you can see it on the picture, they are standing together and it says it was taken on June 26 1980"

"oh bullshit" y/n exclaimed from behind the papers, without even looking up from what she was reading. all eyes turned to her, as she finally put the papers down "sorry to disappoint you, but Haeather Abbott wasn't the one that disappeared, it was her sister. Heather died through natural causes at the end of may 1982, so much for your theory. and to be exact, that isn't even her on the picture"

Lockwood's eyes turned big as he threw a look in George's direction, after y/n had picked up her papers again. normally his best friend would never make such mistakes, but in the presence of y/n, George always felt the need to be the smartest, so he often acted too quick without thinking it through. he wasn't much himself when she was near.

Kipps laughed into the hand he had put up in front of his mouth, trying to be discreet, but obviously failing, before he patted y/n's shoulder, his face showing the obvious triumph.

"oh" George exclaimed "I could've sworn I was right-"

"well, you weren't" y/n answered and in that very moment, George was about to jump over the table and close his hands around her neck. luckily for the girl, Lockwood had noticed George's growing interest in murder and held him down. the others not even noticing the outburst he had prevented.

about three hours later, the group was standing in a dark alley way, ready to start their mission. much to George's dismay, y/n had found the important information.

turns out the ghost they were hunting, an old singer, known as Gale Humphrey, had different connections to some more than just illegal organisations, which led to his death, when he was found murdered in his old london chalet. the house was huge and it was important to know their way, before they would walk inside blindly. y/n had made sure of that, to which even Lockwood had to praise her.

when they entered, they decided to part ways, so that they would cover as much ground as possible.

"Lucy, George and I will go upstairs, Kipps and y/n downstairs, alright?" Lockwood began ordering and Kipps raised his eyebrows

"so you can find everything important and get the whole fee? without y/n you would go in blindly, you wouldn't even have half the information you have now, thanks to your reasearcher being totally off the bat"

"hey!" George protested, but went ignored by both boys

"he's right" said Lucy. she was about the only one that was at least somewhat friendly to Kipps and actually liked y/n. probably because she was living with two boys and didn't get the chance often, to actually spend time with another girl. "you know he is, Lockwood"

"okay" Lockwood breathed "how would you do it?"

"you, Lucy and I go up. Karim and y/n down. it should mostly be safe downstairs. the talents would be parted evenly. Lucy and y/n are both listeners, you have the sight thing, George has touch. seems fair to me"

"alright" Lockwood breathed and George's eyes grew big.

"what?" he spat, like Lockwood had just traded him in "i'm not going down there with her. first chance she gets, she's probably trying to kill me" "like I would need to do that in a haunted mansion" y/n rolled her eyes "if I wanted you dead, you were, sweetheart"

George gulped in disbelief, sending another pleading look in Lockwoods direction. "please, Lockwood"

"I'm sorry, George" Lockwood breathed, before he turned around, closely followed by Kipps. Lucy waited a few seconds longer, before she had to give in. she send an apologetic look towards George, before she followed the boys up the stairs

"just you and me than" y/n smiled provocative "really romantic"

"just amazing" George smiled sarcastically "hopefully the ghost will be better company"

"oh come on, Karim" y/n threw her hands in the air, as she followed him down the stairs "you don't hate me that much"

"I would like you more if you weren't such a know-it-all, all the time" he rolled his eyes

"like you are any better" she shrugged

"try listening, will ya?" he instructed, ignoring her words from before. he wasn't as annoying about knowledge as y/n was. he definitely wasn't.

the girl closed her eyes, while George tried to gather anything from the walls. there wasn't much he could feel

he turned around when he heard y/n's sudden gasp. "what is it?" he asked, hand gliding to his rapier, as he watched the girl, who seemed to be in full distress.

"don't move" she muttered, while she gripped his arms and gently pulled him towards her

"is it him?" George wondered "the ghost? is he here?" he repeated quickly, because y/n's eyes were still fixated on something behind him. "y/n!" he tried again, calling her by her first name for the first time in a long while since they were introduced to each other

her face had lost all its colour and she was rapidly moving backwards, taking him with her. her eyes had spilled a few tears. obviously they were not used to being a team and going on missions together, but they had had their share of ghost fighting in each others company, and George had never seen her this scared. y/n always seemed to keep her cool, even at the most monstrous of ghosts.

he tried to gain her attention again, but it was to no use. he took her hand off of him and drew his rapier, turning around in a quick motion to be met with... nothing?

"it's on the ground" y/n muttered as she noticed his eyes dazing around the place

George looked down to the ground slowly, anticipating anything but what he was seeing. it wasn't a ghost, but an animal, a snake to be exact. a little green snake, he noticed as he held his flashlight on it, which was one of the most harmless beings put on earth.

"it's just a snake" he chuckled

"I-I know" y/n hissed and George noticed how she stumbled back even further, just now without him

"are you scared?" he asked bewildered

"ob-obviously" y/n answered, while she kept her eyes on the still forward stalking animal "would you mind stopping it?!"

"y-yeah" George bend down and took the short snake between his fingers, cautious that it wasn't too close to his skin to be able to bite him. the snake wasn't dangerous, but he didn't really need to be bitten tonight. he walked to the other room to open a window and set the animal free. "better?" he asked, when he came to a hold next to the girl

"yeah" she mumbled "thank you, that was nice"

"no problem. i'm just a bit surprised is all, I mean, you're the great l/n! you're not scared of anything"

"well, I am scared of some things. maybe not ghosts and darkness, but there are still some things"

"like not being the smartest person in the room?" he asked sarcastically, returning to his old self

"you don't get anything, do you?" y/n asked "I'm sorry you can't take a hit to your ego. and I'm sorry you were wrong, but that isn't really my fault, is it? someone had to correct what you were saying before our team would walk into another mission blindly, but I guess normally you're used to that, aren't you?"

"woah, hold up" George put up his hands in surrender "our team? the last I remember this was my team and you and kipps only added yourselves to it"

"like we had any choice" y/n mocked "the most prestigious agency, lockwood and co, just can't get away from burning houses down, killing people or angering DEPRAC, obviously Barnes had to get you lot a supervisor"

"yeah, maybe, but not you"

"do you think I like spending time with you either?" y/n voice grew louder and bounced off the walls, they were both full on screaming at each other now

"you wouldn't be so insufferable if you were less intelligent" George screamed right back

"do you think I like being like this?"

George's mouth had run dry had the answer she had screamed at the top of her lungs. now he was just simply staring at her.

for George intelligence had always been a gift, to be able to memorise as much as possible and understand complex connections. he loved learning new things and he liked to be the smartest person in the room. all his life he had been just that, the smartest person. well at least until he had met her.

"are you kidding me?" George laughed "you are always bragging about how smart you are"

"really? am I?"

now that he was really thinking about it, it seemed like most of that had been in his head. obviously she would correct him when he was being wrong and sometimes she would break into five minute rants, after which she had to slowly repeat herself, so everyone would be able to grasp the concept she had understood a long time before them.

she was cocky and confident and sometimes rude, but she hadn't always been like that, he suddenly noticed. he remembered at fittes, when they first met each other and trained together, she would mostly keep to herself. she would answer when she was asked and if he made a mistake, she would correct him privately, so he could redeem himself without a big huff.

he couldn't really remember when he had begun hating her, or why he did. maybe because in his eyes, intelligence was the only good quality he had, but when she was there, he didn't even have that.

maybe the hatred had begun when he began liking her too much. at least that's when he began talking to her, like she was no one to him. and after some time, she seemed to return that favour.

"you're right" he finally said, realising his mistake "but you were nicer about it when we first met"

"because i liked you, you idiot. at least until you began to go all rouge on me" she paused, sitting down on the steps and waiting until he did the same

"do you know what its like to work as a woman in just another male dominated industry? they don't take you seriously, because you're just a girl, what could you know? what you say is never right, because it isn't what they would say... for the longest time, being smart was like a curse to me. that's why I left the team and went to Kipps. he was the first one to make me feel good about it, about being the smartest one in the room, there isn't really any shame in that. he helped me to be more confident, to not hold back when I want to say something and to not feel bad when I know something better than others. when we first met I thought you could understand how I was feeling. I quickly realised you couldn't and at some other point I finally noticed how much I was annoying you"

"oh" George just said "I never knew you were feeling like that. I think I was just jealous of you, because I felt like you were taking something away from me by being smarter. now that I think about it, I wasn't any better than the other men, was I?"

"no" y/n shook her head chuckling

"I was really dumb, im sorry for that" George smiled at the girl "intelligence always seemed like a gift to me, I never thought about it being this bad for someone else."

"it's alright George, I should've just ask you what was going on"

"you are not responsible for my insecurities" George shook his head "and I shouldn't have acted like you were" he shrugged his shoulder "I think deep down I wanted to be like you, so effortlessly smart, and what was supposed to be admiration grew into anger, because I realised I could never be"

"somehow, that's kind of cute" y/n laughed "I didn't know I had an admirer"

"you confessed to liking me first, just for the record"

"yeah, i'll keep that in the protocol" y/n pointed at her head "photographic memory"

"oh, man!" George cried out "obviously I had no chance against you"

"no" y/n smiled

she leaned forward and softly, her lips found his. engulfing him into a sweet and gentle kiss. it didn't even feel weird, more like it was always meant to be, they just had taken too long to realise it.

"you never had"

"I'm fine with that, actually" George muttered and connected their lips once again.

Hey! I saw you opened requests for Lockwood&Co so I wanted to ask for some jealous Anthony Lockwood x reader if that's okay with you

BLANK SPACE

Hey! I Saw You Opened Requests For Lockwood&Co So I Wanted To Ask For Some Jealous Anthony Lockwood X

Pairing: Anthony Lockwood x reader

Summary: normally Lockwood can hide his feelings quite well. that talent seems to fade every time someone tries to flirt with his y/n

Translation: n/n = nickname

"I really think we can go home now" Anthony Lockwood said to you, while you were in the middle of a conversation with one of the boys, Noah Prentiss, from another agency.

"lockwood!" you scolded and send him a tired look

"no it's okay, n/n" Noah said smiling "I should probably leave as well. it was nice talking to you" he looked towards Lockwood "you too! Goodbye" then he went off

"n/n?" Anthony asked while he was walking next to you "I thought only I was allowed to call you that"

you reached for his hand and intertwined your fingers "its a quite common shortage for my name, also I don't mind" you smiled "actually I should be scolding you, you were the one to disrupt a peaceful conversation I was just having now."

"I didn't like the way he was looking at you"

"you didn't like the way he was looking at me?" you repeated mockingly "how did he look at me, then?"

"like he wanted to undress you"

"well, you look at me like you want to undress me all the time, even now"

"it's okay when I do it, I'm your boyfriend. that means I actually get to undress you" he muttered angrily, you would've probably felt for him, if what he was saying didn't sound so absolutely ridiculous, so you broke into full on laughter, you even had to stop and bend down at some point

"n/n!" Anthony cried out "why are you laughing at me?"

you had to wait for a few minutes, before you could answer, still not being able to catch your breath. "I'm sorry" you wheezed "it's just too funny"

"I don't know what could be funny about this" your boyfriend exclaimed and crossed his arms in front of his chest disapprovingly.

"oh, baby" you smiled, stepping in front of the boys and opening his arms, so you could step inside. Anthony didn't budge, still keeping his eyes above your head. you knew him quite well, and you knew when he was acting like this, it wasn't normally easy to gain his attention. well, you were his girlfriend for a reason

your hand slid up to his neck. still no movement from him. then you went to stand on your tiptoes, your lips only a few inches from his. "look at me, baby" you muttered and you could feel his hot breath on your face.

you could see in his features that he was trying hard to resist you, but the longer you were as close like this, the harder it got for him.

the final moment came when you stretched a bit higher and connected your lips. his hands immediately went to your waist to pull you closer and returning the kiss with as much passion as you were used to.

you broke the kiss slowly, stepping away from his body, which was harder than you had initially thought, considering he was holding you in a death grip.

"let's go home than" you smiled at how hot and bothered your boyfriend had gotten in the last minute

"by the way" you said, stepping closer and coming to a halt next to him. you stood on your tiptoes again so your mouth was in front of his ear. you placed a lingering kiss, just beneath and watched in satisfaction how his body shivered.

"I don't mind when you get jealous" you whispered in his ear "I think you are incredibly hot than"

Anthony watched as you stepped away from him and walked across the street, on your way to the door of the house you all lived in. it wasn't easy to shut up Anthony Lockwood, but you were one of the only people who was able to do just that. mostly because he found you breathtakingly beautiful and he was so in love with you, that he would've done anything if you just asked him to.

"seems like I do need to get drunk on jealously more often" Anthony muttered to himself, gaining back his ability to speak and putting on this signature smirk of his, before he took off after you

A/N: i'm sorry that it's so short and that I got a bit carried away omg

lockwood

enemies to lovers

—treacherous

Lockwood

pairing: anthony lockwood x fem!reader

summary: how can it be that two people who grew up together hate each other so much? for lockwood and y/n that hate was definitely normal. suddenly they find out that love and hate are really close together and there might be something treacherous in the way that they like to scream at each other.

warnings: making out, reader and lockwood hating each other

"it's literally unbearable with you two" Lucy exclaimed outraged after you and Lockwood had just gotten in another fight on the mission.

"you can be glad that Lucy was able to find the source and seal it" George scolded "you'd both be dead if it wasn't for her!"

both you and Lockwood seemed to shrink under the glaring eyes of your friends. you had just gotten home and it seemed that everything that George and Lucy had kept in during the cab ride was unleashing now

"I'm so fed up!" Lucy screamed and even Lockwood winced at her sudden outburst "how can two people that live with each other since they were born, hate one another that much! I don't even get it, what's up with you two?"

"it's not like I like living with him" you muttered through clenched teeth "it's just for safety purposes and it's my home as much as it is his"

the Lockwoods and your parents had been friends for forever, when they decided to move in together. they thought you and Lockwood would like to grow up together and one day eventually get married, so that you all could become a real family. despite your parents wishes, you and the boy never got along. he knew how to push all the right buttons with you, especially because he knew so much about you. at least you could stay out of each others way as much as possible, it was still a huge house. after both your parents death you both decided to stay, you really didn't have the money to buy another house in London, so it was better this way, even if you two hated each other.

"let's just all cool down and get a good nights sleep. you look like you died two weeks ago, y/n"

"says the boy that never sleeps" you shrugged "don't think you can fool me"

"I don't think we are the ones that need to cool down" George exclaimed bitterly

"whatever you say" you rolled your eyes and bumped your shoulder into Lockwood's when you left the library. you went the stairs up to your room and decided to take a quick shower after the awful mission you had just barely survived. not long after you had gotten clothed, someone knocked on your door.

"come in" you called and Lucy stepped into the room

"hi" she smiled "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have screamed at you like that" "oh no, luce" you interrupted "don't be sorry, please. I nearly got us killed"

"that was hardly your fault" Lucy scoffed "if Lockwood hadn't acted like a total dickhead this all wouldn't have happened"

"oh" you said surprised "you really think that?"

"obviously" she pointed behind her "to make it up to you, I cleared the library, so you can finally read the book in your chair, without having to fear that Lockwood will be there"

"you really did?" you got up excitedly, grabbing your favourite book from off your nightstand "you don't know how much that means to me"

"oh believe me" Lucy smiled mischievously "I do"

if you hadn't been so excited about the whole situation, you might've noticed the smirk that planted on her lips just when you walked through the doorframe. you might've also noticed Lockwood's crooked door and the fact that George was telling him the same Lucy had just told you.

but you didn't notice all that

instead you went down into the library, heart fluttering when you noticed that Lockwood really wasn't anywhere in sight. you sat down on your chair, opening the book in your hands and returning to the point at which you had last stopped reading.

you only looked up when you heard footsteps.

"oh no" you muttered when you saw Lockwood walking into the library. you went to get up and retreat back to your room, when Lockwood did something totally unreasonable

"don't worry" he smiled "i'm just grabbing a magazine. you can stay"

"o-okay" you said while you watched him get the magazine from off the counter and walk back to the door. your eyes found your book again and for a few seconds there was complete silence, until you looked up and jumped, because Lockwood was still standing at the door

"it's locked" he said answering your unasked question

you got up from the chair and tried open the door yourself, but it was to no appeal. "shit" you muttered

"let's just ignore each other"

"I thought I could finally spend some time alone down here" you said angrily "Lucy even cleared it for me because you were behaving like a dickhead earlier"

"I wasn't at fault earlier" Lockwood replied, only hearing the last part of what you were saying

"obviously you were" you crossed your arms "If you hadn't acted like one, we wouldn't even have fought"

"like you never start a fight"

"no, I'm the peaceful one between us"

"peaceful, my ass" Lockwood scoffed "you once threw a book at me, because I wouldn't let you have the last doughnut"

"see! you were behaving like a dickhead there too" you said mockingly "you always act like one"

"oh I do?" he asked sarcastically "like you always act so high and mighty"

"then tell me what I act like if you're so much smarter"

"you act like a damn witch"

"like a witch?" you repeated laughing "is that the only insult little Anthony knows?"

"I bet we wouldn't fight as much if you could keep your mouth shut once, you're always talking"

"oh does it bother you when I speak? because I'm always right? you don't like to be wrong, not even when we were children, Anthony, believe me, I know"

"because I hated you since we were children"

"oh, like I ever liked you! you were unbearable from the first second on!"

"just shut up already! you always have to be the one who has to keep talking"

"I can talk as much as I want to"

"not when I tell you to shut up"

"you aren't allowed to tell me anything, you dick!" you exclaimed angrily

"just shut up already!" he screamed

"make me" you muttered and watched while Anthony stepped forward until you were only a few inches apart

"I don't think you would want me to" he whispered. he was so close to you, that you could feel his hot breath on your skin

"just shut up already" you said, repeating his words from earlier

"make me" he smiled

and you did just that. your hand went down to his tie and you pulled him towards you, until your lips connected. you had never been kissed this passionately before, and Anthony seemed to think the same.

he walked you backwards, until your back hit the wall. his hands found your waist and your fingers gripped his hair, to pull him even closer

"fuck" the boy you had always hated muttered, when you turned you both around, so his back was at the wall. you bent down your head so you had access to his neck

he breathed in hurriedly, every time your lips made connection with his skin

you had just gotten back to kissing, when your heard the door unlock. George and Lucy walked inside and were speaking to you, until they were silenced by the uncommon sight in front of them

Lucy cleared her throat and Lockwood and you jumped away from each other caught.

"well" said George "this is- unexpected to say the least"

"very" Lucy nodded

Lockwood and you looked at each other and for the first time in.. well, forever, the both of you were honestly smiling at each other, each one wearing a big and toothy grin

"freaky world" George shrugged his shoulders and left the room. closely followed by Lucy

"I don't really think I've ever hated you" Lockwood muttered, connecting your hands

"me neither" you smiled, sending the boy a lopsided grin "I think I could get used to this"

"oh yeah" Lockwood pulled you closer by the small of your back "yeah, definitely" then he connected your lips again

it seemed that everything your parents had planned was finally coming true. like a final rest after a treacherous hike. and your relationship with Anthony Lockwood had always been one thing above all else: treacherous.

could you write anthony lockwood x reader? he‘s a tease and annoying the reader and she get’s frustrated about his behaviour and starts to ignore him so he tries to make up by making her breakfast every morning.

i got inspired by the scene where lockwood cuts the toast for lucy. It’s literally so sweet.

—king of my heart

Could You Write Anthony Lockwood X Reader? Hes A Tease And Annoying The Reader And She Gets Frustrated

pairing: anthony lockwood x fem!reader

summary: there was always this flirty banter between them, without anything ever happening. one day the reader grows tired of it and leaves lockwood to make a choice

warnings: sexual themes, mentions of sex but no smut or anything

note: everyone is grown up, it’s more an AU after the events of the first season

also: please request more!! i’m so thrilled to write!!!

“shit, you look hot” Anthony muttered, when he saw you standing in the doorway. you grew flustered at the compliment and send him a lopsided grin.

“stop looking at me like that or we have to go back home” he teased before he walked up to you and placed a lingering kiss on her your cheek, intensely looking into your eyes before he left you standing alone

the longest you remember your relationship with the agency head had always been like that. you met at training and you were the first person he thought of when starting the agency.

of course you were on board from the very start.

nothing ever actually happened between you two, but Anthony liked to say those things to you, getting you flustered. after some time you started returning the favor, but you actually meant the things you said, you couldn’t say that for him surely. the first time you had done it, you were sure Anthony was at the verge of passing out

“fuck” he had muttered upon your sight “you don’t know half of the things i’d like to do to you”

you had walked up next to him, until he was feeling your breath on the side of his head, standing on your tiptoes to whisper in his ear. “don’t be shy, baby” then you did as he always did and placed a lingering kiss onto his cheek.

the teasing and flirting was a red string throughout your whole relationship. it didn’t stop after George came along and also not after Lucy joined.

Lucy had often questioned George on the thing you and Anthony had going on. George would always just shrug his shoulders and explain that it was always like that. it didn’t take long for Lucy to grow used to your unusual banter.

it’s not that you didn’t like the things Anthony was saying to you, it actually made the butterflies in your stomach get active even more, but never did something actually happen, not more than a chaste kiss to the cheek.

after some time you grew frustrated. you put so much work in the supposedly relationship with Anthony, you had never pursued anything or anyone else for that matter. at the same time Anthony didn’t seem to grasp onto the concept that you wanted him to do these things to you, that you didn’t want himself from holding back to kiss you.

these mixed signals annoyed you to no end, so one day you finally snapped.

“hey sexy” Anthony leaned in your doorframe watching as you were reading on your bed

“not now, Lockwood” you muttered

the boy raised his eyebrows at the name. you never called him that, you never even called him Anthony. since you guys had met, you had always ever called him tony, or baby, which he found much more endearing and told you to use more often. so it actually became his new nickname

“what?” he asked confused “no baby?”

you rolled your eyes but ignored what he was saying, so he stepped into the room

“i wish i could take off your shirt-“

he stopped when he met your glaring eyes. he thought he was in for scolding, but you just stood up, walking closer

“do it, then” you said

and his breath hitched in his throat. he was used to you entertaining his teasing, but you had never looked so serious while doing so

“w-what?” he exclaimed

“take off my shirt” you stepped even closer, until you were able to grab onto his hands and bring them to the hem of your shirt, like you were instructing him what to do.

“what”

you slowly raised up his hands, that were now gripping onto your shirt, and helped him pull it off your body. this action left you standing in a black bra.

Anthony’s eyes went down to your chest, breathing slowly.

“what is-“ he was still not quite himself, the teasing had always stopped at the verge of undressing each other- well not this time

“what are you gonna do?” you asked slowly “are you gonna take off your shirt? are you gonna sleep with me? or are you about to leave, proving your words to be empty”

“i don’t-“ he muttered, still trying to grasp onto what was happening

“that’s what i thought” you nodded, grabbing your shirt from his hands and pulling it over your head. it was only than that he noticed how dressed up you were.

your make up was perfect and your hair had been curled and styled. he watched as you walked back to your bed, grabbing your bag and pulling out red lipstick, that you put on at the varsity across from him.

“what are you doing?” he asked as his eyes found yours in the mirror

“i’m going out”

“what? why?”

“look” you said stepping next to him “i’m just tired. i’m going to sleep with someone tonight and honestly, i don’t care if it’s you or quill kipps of all people”

his eyes grew big as you left him standing speechless in your room. he only realized what had just happened when he heard the front door close. he rushed down the steps, but as he reached the door he could only watch you drive away in a cab.

“what’s going on?” asked George stepping next to Lockwood

“y/n just left”

“she left? without us? how is she gonna manage-“

“not for a case, George” Lockwood interrupted bitterly

“for- for a date?” George asked slowly, noticing the dark look that had plastered itself onto the other boys features

“fuck” Lockwood growled before he send a kick towards the rapier holder, sending it flying onto the ground

George stepped back to make room for the fuming boy, that was now retracing back to his room. in the mean time, George was joined by Lucy who had sat in the kitchen and was alarmed by the sudden noise.

“what’s going on?” she asked confused

“oh” George muttered, trying to keep in a laugh “y/n left for a date”

“he’s finally getting it?”

“seems like it”

George and Lucy had noticed how you both were utterly in love with each other. while you weren’t holding back on showing it, Lockwood didn’t even seem to realize.

they watched as Lockwood came rushing down the stairs, now wearing his coat. Lucy grabbed onto his arm to hold him back.

“where are you going?” she asked

“to find y/n”

“i don’t think you should” Lucy muttered “i think she gave you a fair chance, and as it seems you made your decision, now leave her be”

Lucy, who had quickly grown to be y/n’s best friend, knew everything about the latter girls feeling. she would often find her friend crying and begging for a reason why Lockwood never seemed to actually like her. she knew that she couldn’t handle the relationship the two were having anymore, but she also knew that y/n just couldn’t give up Anthony that fast, that’s why she didn’t, that’s why she let him make the choice.

“she’s going to sleep with bloody Kipps!” he protested

“what?” muttered George

“i know” said Lucy softly

“you know?” both boys asked. well, George was confused while Lockwood was angry

“and you didn’t talk her out of it?” he bellowed

“no? why would i? y/n’s a grown up, Kipps is a grown up. he’s handsome and funny and-“

“can i stop you right there?” Lockwood muttered while looking like he was about to stab Lucy “you send her out to have sex with- with someone-”

“with someone?” Lucy asked, before she finished the sentence her self “with someone that isn’t you?”

“yes, god-damnit!” Lockwood screamed

“you had your chance, Lockwood” Lucy exclaimed without any sympathy for the boy. she had watched y/n cry too often because of him to still be sympathetic. “and you blew it, end of story. if you don’t want her, than there are lots of others who do. don’t blame this on her, because you’re the one that never did anything about what was going on between you guys”

she grabbed George’s arm and Lockwood watched his friends retreat down to the kitchen. he took of his coat, sighing, tears in his eyes, because Lucy was right. it really was his fault after all

it wasn’t until the early morning that you made your way back into portland row.

you had kept your window open, which was on the side of the house, so you could climb in easily on top of the garbage bins.

you landed onto your bed, but it was only than that you noticed it being occupied by a body. “ow” said body exclaimed when you landed on top of him.

him as in Anthony Lockwood.

“Lockwood?” you whispered, stepping in front of the bed and watching as the boy got up slowly from the mattress.

“holy hell, y/n!” Lockwood spoke “where have you been all night?”

“oh no” you said while taking off your shoes “you’re not getting to yell at me now”

“i’m not— goddamnit!” he muttered, letting his head sink into his hands “i made you breakfast” he pointed at the tray he had brought.

“the tea must be cold by now” you noticed and he nodded

“listen” Lockwood stepped closer to you “i’m actually here, because i wanted to tell you how sorry i am about yesterday” he paused “i- i was an asshole and honestly there’s no real excuse for that, because it took me until yesterday to realize how real this between us was— is!”

“Lockwood” you said but he just shook his head

“i know that you left me a chance and i blew it— totally blew it, and i understand if you’d rather go out and sleep with Kipps for the rest of your life, but—“

you broke of his rambling by shaking your head “i didn’t sleep with Kipps” Lockwood let out a relieved breath “believe me, i was close to it, but then i just couldn’t”

he nodded, glad for your honesty, before he grabbed your hands

“i don’t want to prove my words to be empty ever again” he said “i want to sleep with you, but that’s not it, i want to be with you, all the time, every day. without pointless flirting, i mean, i do want to flirt with you, but for real”

you had to laugh at his rambling and nodded “ditto, baby”

“this part can stay as it is” he smiled upon recognizing the familiar name he had missed so much in the last few hours

“of course” you nodded

“can i take you shirt off, now?” he asked, slowly letting his hands wander to the hem of it.

“obviously” you laughed, before he took it off and pulled you closer to connect your lips in a passionate kiss

like lockwood, best friends to lovers

—you belong with me

Like Lockwood, Best Friends To Lovers

pairing: anthony lockwood x fem!reader

summary: reader has to flirt to finish a mission. much to the dismay of Lockwood she is far too good at it

warnings: flirting with sexual themes??

shortages: f/n — fake name

note: okay sorry this got a bit out of hand and it didn't really end where or how I intended it to. let me know if y'all would be interested in a part two!!!

part two: that's the way I loved you

you walked down the steps. the red dress you were wearing fluttering around the middle of your thighs. your hair was styled, Lucy had curled it after she had done your make—up

“test, test” you whispered into the little microphone you were wearing in your hair, so it would stay hidden

“we can hear you, y/n” George answered and you could swear he was rolling his eyes “we tested it a minute ago”

“sorry” you muttered

“leave her be” Lockwood said to George. he would always come to your rescue, even if you didn’t ask him to. that’s why he was your best—friend after all.

you breathed in deeply and snatched a glass of champagne from one of the waiters trays, gulping it down in one shot. you checked your lipstick in the little mirror Lucy had packed into the small bag you were wearing, before your hands found your waist and pulled down the dress, so your cleavage was showing

you stepped forward and sat down at the bar, right next to the guy you were targeting

his hair was black and he was actually attractive if it weren’t for the people he had killed to create sources. it was just your task to find one of them though, or better put: to occupy the man until Lucy had found the source.

“hi” you smiled, turning your head and also your chest, so the man could get a good look at it

“hello” he grinned and you swore you could’ve thrown up then and there. “would you like a drink?”

“sure” you outstretched your hand “i’m f/n”

he took your hand and shook it “Sebastian, and i’m glad to share a drink with a beautiful woman” he slid the drink the bartender had just supplied, towards you

“thank you” you smiled, raising the glass and taking a sip from the alcohol

“so, what brings you here?” Sebastian asked, while his hand found its way to rest on your knee

you could hear Lockwood and George drag in the air through the mouths loudly, like Sebastian had just touched their knee

you tried not to react to their sudden sounds, but Sebastian was good at picking up your emotions it seemed.

"everything alright?" he asked, leaning even closer

"yeah" you smiled, trying to fight the uneasiness you felt because of his proximity "I'm not used to the company of handsome looking men" you tried to save the conversation and Sebastian seemed to like your compliment

you ignored Lockwood's scoff while you watched Sebastian lean back in comfort "well" he smiled smugly "I'm all yours, beautiful"

you could hear Lockwood and George gag at the same time, you would have liked to do the same, but Sebastian was still looking at you. "what a lucky girl I am" you laughed instead and patted the shoulder of the male, who, again, smiled smugly at the gesture

his hand wandered a bit higher on your leg and you could feel it close to the hem of your dress. you threw a panicked gaze in Lockwood's direction. discreet enough that Sebastian wouldn't notice. it seemed like he was occupied anyway, with watching his own hand make its way up your leg. with every inch it felt like you couldn't breathe

you just hoped that Lucy would be quick.

"what brings you here, pretty lady?" Sebastian repeated his question from earlier, to which he had never received an answer

"work" you smiled nonchalantly, trying to keep your composure. his hand was resting for now, that was good.

"what do you do?" he smiled

"I've worked for a few agency's for a while (truth) but after I lost my talents I settled down and changed to the office area of fittes (lie)"

you pretty much still had your talents, you were only seventeen, but now you where trying to look much older. this was achieved by the make up and the obnoxious and uncomfortable push-up bra you were wearing. it felt like they would fall out of your dress any moment. Sebastian seemed to like the sight of your dĂŠcolletĂŠ a bit too much, you noticed, while his eyes wandered down to your breasts while you were talking. you would have liked to slap his head and tell him how impolite it was to directly look there, not only under normal circumstances but while you were talking as well.

you weren't used to that kind of disgusting men behaviour, even if you had lived with two of them for the most of your life.

you could stand in front of George and Lockwood just wearing a bra and they wouldn't dare and look. Maybe because George was like a brother to you and Lockwood- Lockwood was a gentleman

your thoughts wandered away from the conversation at hand and back to the brunette agency head, who alway managed to make you feel at ease. even on mission like this one, he was looking at you across the room and anytime you would catch his eyes, your breath would calm and you would feel safe.

also, he had promised you to come and save you if things went too far. he was your best-friend after all.

your eyes wandered back to meet Sebastians and you remembered what Lucy had told you. if you feel uncomfortable just put yourself back in control. so you leaned forward, so he could get an even better look at your cleavage. he stammered while talking but quickly continued normally. you took his hand from off your leg and interlaced your fingers. he wouldn't notice that you were actually trying to keep him away, he would see that gesture as you falling into his trap. that was what men always thought.

now that you were back in control, your mind felt at ease and you felt less like a little girl that needed to be saved. now you were a woman. and he, he was still a man, luckily.

"I travel a lot" you answered the question he had just asked you about your work "I check out different agencies all around the world. make sure that they are working right. we wouldn't want any rules broken, would we?" you fluttered your eyelids and watched in satisfaction what effect that last purposely chosen sentence had on him

"n-no" he stammered

"are you alright?" you asked pitiful

"yes" Sebastian tried to gain back his composure and actually succeeded "but I must say, you're the most breath taking woman I've ever seen. everything is where it should be"

"oh my god" George muttered loudly, disgusted by the objectifying words the older man had just said about his friend

"I'm stopping this" you watched as Lockwood stood up from his place and George tried to hold him back. you knew that it was on you to prevent him from cancelling the mission. you send him a look that told him to sit down again and he eventually listened and scoffed

"thank you, Sebastian" you leaned closer, now speaking into his ear "you look more than daring yourself, if i'm allowed to say so"

"you are" he nodded leaning forward

now the moment had come. he would kiss you. you weren't sure if it would come to that point, but you had sworn to do it if it needed to be done to keep the mission from failing. a second before your lips connected, Sebastian was drown back

drawn back by no other than Lockwood. you were a second away from screaming at the boy, when you noticed Lucy across the hall. she had done it. the mission was completed. you no longer had to flirt with that scumbag.

"oh, Tony" you muttered in surprise, still playing a role

that was what you guys had agreed on. the moment Lucy would come back, Lockwood or George would interrupt the conversation and act like they were an old friend of yours who was in town coincidentally and had seen you sitting at the bar.

"f/n" Lockwood muttered angrily and you raised your brows, watching his expression "I'm sorry" he said turning towards Sebastian and outstretching his hand "Anthony Lockwood"

Sebastian took the hand he was being offered and shook it "Sebastian Keen" he said, still confused to what was happening

"nice to meet you. can I ask what you were doing with my girlfriend?"

"your what?" Sebastian asked loudly and you had almost joined in. his eyes wandered to you and you tried to stay in role, even if Lockwood had just completely changed your script

"my girlfriend" Lockwood repeated unnecessarily "were you bothering her? because it looked like that"

"no, she wanted-"

"yes, Tony" you interrupted, opening your eyes wider and letting them fill with tears "it's alright, dear" Lockwood outstretched his hand and helped you to stand up "stay away from her, you hear me?" he said threateningly

"I didn't harass her or anything. she's lying" Sebastian said angrily

Lockwood shook his head "doesn't matter, just don't ever talk to her again, alright?"

"sure" Sebastian shrugged his shoulders "she isn't that pretty anyways"

Lockwood interlaced your hands and walked you away from the man "she obviously is" he muttered to himself, but you heard him and had to smile at his words "you're pretty too" Lockwood turned his head to you while walking and smiled at your relieved expression

"I'm glad you didn't have to kiss him"

"I'm glad too"

"well, luckily your boyfriend was just around the corner" he smiled but you could see the sincerity in his eyes

you nodded, eyes glistening happily "yes, luckily he was"

I love your fics!!

Can you write a george karim x reader? The reader is apart of Kipps’ team and, since the two teams are still in cahoots (is that the right word? lol) with each other, george and the reader have to sneak around to be all cute and cuddly. Maybe they get caught while trying to sneak the reader out of 35 Portland Row?

Keep up the great work!! 👻

—love story

I Love Your Fics!!

pairing: george karim x reader

summary: sneaking around and hiding a relationship becomes a challenge when your bosses are lockwood and kipps, but y/n and george always seem to manage anyway…

warnings: none really

note: thank you so much!! hope you like this :))

"y/n!" Anthony Lockwood called surprised "what are you doing here, this time of the day? does Kipps need our help?"

"ehh, no, sorry-" you turned around slowly. Lockwood stood in the entry way of the library, eyebrows raised at you. "I needed your help, actually" you quickly tried to cover up the fact that you were just leaving, after you had spend the night in your boyfriends company.

"oh, do you?" Lockwood replied surprised

"yes" you nodded "I need a book, I think George mentioned once that you guys had it"

"a book?" Lockwood changed his position "and you didn't think of just going to the library?"

"oh" you replied dumbfounded, not having thought of that "of course" you quickly gathered back your confidence "the library!" you called out, like Lockwood had just invented it

Lockwood watched as you made your way back to the door and threw a loose goodbye in his direction, before he turned around and muttered something about Kipps' crew always needing to be reminded of the simplest things.

__________

"it's still weird, isn't it?" George brushed a loose strand of hair from off your face. you were both laying on your bed, cuddling, talking about everything and nothing

"what do you mean?" you asked confused, poking up your head from off his shoulder

"Kipps and Lockwood, I really don't now why they won't get along" he sighed "it's not like they are particularly different”

"oh believe me, they are" you muttered "I think something in Kipps just wants to make sure Lockwood and you guys are safe, at the same time it angers him that Lockwood tries anything in his willpower to get hurt"

"that's actually really nice"

"he can be at times" you smiled at the boy

as if on command, there was a knock on your door. "y/n?" kipps called "can I come in?"

"eh" you called "just a moment, I'm- changing" you pushed George off your bed, so he would stay out of Kipps sight, the boy nearly screaming a fit of curse words

"you can enter" you sat down on the bed, waiting for Kipps to open the door

"hey" he smiled, stepping inside your room "I just talked to Bobby. he says we will be able to visit the house tonight. we'll take a cab at five, just be ready"

"of course" you smiled nonchalantly

"everything alright?" kipps seemed irritated by your answer, normally you would just groan and curse him out like he had personally invented the problem

"yeah" you nodded "why wouldn't it be?"

"I don't know" Kipps answered slowly, walked back to the door, while keeping a confused look on his face "be ready" he repeated, before he walked out and closed the door

_______

"okay, this is getting repetitive" Lockwood called, arms crossed sitting in the living room. next to him (to your surprise) sat Kipps, wearing the exact same expression, watching you and George sneaking down the stairs

"eh" George muttered confused

"yeah" you nodded, dragging George into the room with you "there was this book-"

"-repetitive" Lockwood sang

"just admit you're dating and we can all go home" Kipps leaned forward to take a sip of his tea

"what?" you asked perplexed

"well" Lockwood smiled smugly "Kipps and I both noticed your weird behaviour, so we talked about it and came to the same conclusion"

"yeah, either you two are dating or you're having something even weirder going on"

"you both worked together?" George raised his brows. Lockwood and Kipps looked at each other in realisation

"I guess we did" Kipps muttered

"well, we can't have important team members being distracted during missions, because they are busy sneaking around"

"okay, seems plausible" George and you sat down across from the men

"but just so you know, we won't break up just because you guys found out about us"

"obviously not" Kipps and Lockwood nodded at the same time

"as long as you do not tell her any of our secrets" Lockwood instructed George jokingly, a bit of a stern expression entering his face

"the same goes for you, y/n"

you and George grinned at both your bosses, happy about them approving of your relationship. because if you were honest, they were much more than just that, they were your friends.

"great" Lockwood stood up, talking the tray with the empty tea mugs "then Quill Kipps can finally leave my house"

"gladly" Quill muttered bitterly "lets go, y/n"

you raised your hand and waved at Lockwood, before you turned to George and plastered a longing kiss on his lips. you followed Quill out of the room, grinning at the boy that looked a bit traumatised by witnessing your kiss

"I really have to get used at that before you can do it again"

"fine" you laughed, closing the front door behind the both of you

Hey could I request a Lockwood x reader based on the first verse of Stay Stay Stay by Taylor Swift where maybe Lockwood was reckless again on a case and the reader and Lockwood get into an argument but the next morning she wants to try to resolve the argument

—stay, stay, stay

Hey Could I Request A Lockwood X Reader Based On The First Verse Of Stay Stay Stay By Taylor Swift Where

pairing: anthony lockwood x reader

summary: you should never leave a fight unresolved

warnings: screaming nothing else i think

note: such a cool idea, I'm literally living for this

“let’s just calm down and talk tomorrow”

“calm down, do you think i’m not calm right now?”

“well! you don’t really act like it”

the screaming could be heard throughout the whole house. George and Lucy were sitting downstairs and listened to every word that sounded through the thin walls of the kitchen.

“it’s worse than last time, isn’t it?” Lucy asked softly, still ducking at every loud curse word she could hear you and Lockwood scream

“it’s always worse than the last time” George answered rolling his eyes. he was used to your fighting, but still he wouldn’t be caught going up there any time soon.

it’s not like you fought often, but the times you did, it was so memorable that Lucy and George would find each other sitting in the kitchen and comparing how bad the fight was to the one prior.

the one topic that you always fought about seemed to be each others safety, because both you and Lockwood had a tendency to do quite reckless things. this time it had been Lockwood, jumping down a bridge into the water, about ten feet.

you had been at home, sitting and waiting uncomfortably for your boyfriend and your friends to return. George had told you what had happened and you had left the room quietly, Lockwood sighing before he followed you, ready for what was about to happen.

up in your room you were pacing around, Lockwood was sitting on the bed, trying to calm you down.

“don’t be so smart with me, mister”

“i’m not trying to” Lockwood said “i don’t want to fight anymore”

“whose fault is it that we’re fighting?” you asked rhetorically, daring him to answer

“not mine” he shrugged, laying on that stupid grin of his. you guessed that he was trying to get you to laugh, to ease the situation. that wouldn’t work this time.

his smile faded as he saw your expression turning even angrier -he hadn’t thought that was possible- before you took the first object you could find - a book - and threw it at him, only missing by a few inches.

“not yours?” you screeched, before you ran out of the room. you were sure that you had never been that angry before, and you desperately needed to calm down before you would seriously hurt anyone.

down in the kitchen George and Lucy winced simultaneously, as the thrown book made contact with the wall, echoing throughout the house.

this had never happened before. Lucy and George exchanged a scared look, assuming the worst, that possibly one of you had turned violent and hurt the other. badly - hurt the other

they stood up abruptly as you walked into the kitchen.

“are you alright?” Lucy asked concerned

“i’m fine” you replied, trying to not let your anger get the better of you and scream at her too. “i’m just tired of him”

as if on cue, Lockwood walked into the kitchen as well, watching as you poured yourself a cup of tea.

“sweetheart” he said softly.

you put the kettle down loudly, making everyone wince. “do not talk to me”

you turned around quickly, dodging his body that moved forward, as you made your way out of the kitchen. they could only hear the sound of you slamming the door and turning the key, locking the room.

Lockwood sighed and sat down at the table.

“this time was really bad, wasn’t it?” asked Lucy, while she pushed the plate filled with biscuits in his direction

Lockwood nodded as he thankfully took one of the biscuits. “she hasn’t screamed like that in ages”

“there was a loud sound… you didn’t..?” Lockwoods eyes grew big at what George suggested

“of course i didn’t hit her, George!” he leaned forward, his eyebrows tugged together, a look of betrayal on his face, hurt that his friends would ever think that he’d lay a hand on her. “she threw a book at me”

“sorry” George muttered

“then why is it so bad this time?” Lucy asked “you’ve done much worse than throw yourself off a bridge”

“it’s her brothers death anniversary and i knew that” he sighed “i should’ve just stayed home tonight, not worry her anymore than necessary”

“oh” Lucy and George exclaimed at the same time. they had known about your brothers death, but not that it had happened today all those years ago.

“yeah” Lockwood nodded “i better go talk to her, she doesn’t like to go to bed angry”

Lucy and George nodded and watched as he made his way out of the kitchen and back up to your room. they stayed silent, listening to his soft knocks on your door

“i hate you so much right now” you said as you opened the door and Lockwood could see your tearstained cheeks

“i know” he said softly

“but you’re still my favourite person and i need you”

“i know” he followed you into the room and climbed into bed next to you, holding you in his arms. “we can talk about the fight tomorrow”

he could feel you nodding your head, before you fell asleep, still crying softly.

when you woke up the next morning, your boyfriend was still lying next to you. you saw that he was already awake, reading a book. the very book that you had thrown at him and that had spent the night laying on the floor right next to his side on the bed.

“we should talk” you said softly, sitting up. his eyes wandered over you and he nodded

“i just need a second” he said, leaving the room.

you stood up, changing into one of his sweatshirts, head turned away from the door, when you heard him walk back into the room.

“i’m sorry that i was so angry, but just, you know what day it was and i thought that you—“ you turned around, stopping mid-sentence at the sight in front of you.

Lockwood had come back. but now he was looking ridiculous. he was wearing his dads oversized football helmet, the one you had tried to hide from him many times, considering it was way too big for your boyfriend.

you broke into giggles, having to sit down on the bed

“okay, let’s talk” Lockwood was able to mutter, before he joined into your laughing

“why the hell are you wearing that?” you asked between laughter

“for the case that you decide to throw something at me again, of course”

“i love you” you just said, smiling

Lockwoods grin turned serious and he stepped closer to you, taking off the helmet. “i love you” he said “and i know that i was way out of line yesterday, and that i hurt you. i said many things i didn’t mean”

“i know, thank you” you nodded “i’m sorry for the way that i screamed at you. i hate fighting, but you make me just so angry sometimes”

“it think that’s a good sign” Lockwood smiled “imagine you would never feel anything towards me, i’d say our romance was dead, but that proves how much we mean to each other, especially when we’re able to reflect and say sorry”

“i know” you stepped closer, taking the helmet off his hands “but that goes back into the attic”

“didn’t expect any different” Lockwood shrugged while you put the helmet down on the ground

without another word he opened his arms and you stepped in to hug him. he planted a kiss on top of your head.

“just stay with me forever, okay?” you asked softly “then everything will be fine”

“it never even crossed my mind to leave you”

“good”

“also, it’s pretty funny when you’re mad”

you slapped his arm “Anthony Lockwood!”

Lucy and George just rolled their eyes down in the kitchen, knowing well that you had just made up.

—delicate

HII I Love Your Writing. Can I Get An Order Of 15, 16, And 18 From Your Prompt List With Lockwood X Reader

pairing; anthony lockwood x reader

summary: some flirty banter in a near death situation

note: sure thing, thank you so much, that means a lot!! i’m sorry this is so short

prompts: are in cursive :)

"so do you wanna explain what happened?" Anthony Lockwood asked, while you swung your rapier at the two ghosts in front of you both

"yeah, eh-" you paused, stepping back as one of the wraiths snapped at you "switch sides, please" Lockwood made a quick turn behind your back, so that you were now facing the ghost he had been fighting before. "there was this old lady and she was all alone, and she had so many groceries-" you paused, feeling the unamused look Lockwood was throwing your way

"so you just decided to take off without another word, you could've at least told me, then I wouldn't have to save you in the middle of the night"

"I forgot sorry" you muttered and took a swing to the left, before the wraith could touch you. "do you have a flair?" you asked, running away seemed to be your most promising option

"I think I do, actually" Lockwood began searching through his pockets with his free hand. "luckily I know what a dumbass my girlfriend can be, so I always have one with me"

"haha" you repeated sarcastically, "of all people, you are in no position to criticise my life choices"

"as your boyfriend, yes I am" he smiled suggestively "could you lend me a hand and search for it, I can't find it while fighting"

"but I can?" you asked, nodding at the ghost you were holding just a mere foot away

"I'll take care of them, just be quick"

"okay" you shrugged, knowing that those weren't any empty words of his, if he said he could deal with them both, then he could.

"now" Lockwood called and you stepped behind him, handing him your rapier in one swift motion, before you began to feel along his coated body

"woah, you've never been that rough before" he joked, clearly hinting at your quick motions, because you would normally take your time. well, that was, under totally different circumstances of course.

"why are you always flirting in near death situations?"

"turns me on, the thrill" he shrugged his shoulders and you snorted

"sure, baby" you shook your head in disbelief, wondering how he was always able to joke around in these situations

he ignored your words "are you taking this long on intentionally?"

"of course, because I like feeling you up more than surviving"

"wouldn't put it past you"

you slapped his side and something rattled, your eyes grew bright at the recognition that it was the flare you had been searching for. "I got it" you let him know quickly

"good" he repeated a bit out of breath "mind activating it?"

without another word, you threw the flare, taking back your rapier and Lockwoods free hand in a swift movement, before you both started running. to your own luck, you weren't far away from portland row, which made it easy to twist the key and get inside, before the ghosts had caught up to you

you were both leaning against the door with your backs, breathing heavily, when Lockwood turned his head at you "would you like to continue in the bedroom?"

you snorted in disbelief "don't tell me this seriously turned you on?"

"eh, maybe a bit" he shrugged "I can't help it with you and your hands"

"you're an idiot"

"is that a yes?"

"obviously"

DAY 9: SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

DAY 9: SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

pairing: quill kipps x gn!reader

summary: you and quill know each other so well, you could almost finish each others sentences

warnings: short! short! short!

notes: i just made a drabble out of this

"no way!" quill said loudly when he unpacked the present you had just given to him. you watched him pull the sweater out of it's box. he held it up against his chest for you to see

"isn't that the funniest thing ever?" you asked laughing and quill nodded

"you won't believe that" he smiled, while reaching for your present. george, lucy and lockwood sat in silence watching it unfold.

you opened the present quickly, nearly falling out of your seat from laughing. in your box was the same sweater quill had just unpacked before. well not exactly the same, but it's other half.

"go put it on!" lucy directed and you and quill left the room.

when you came back, the others broke into laughter. you were both wearing sweaters reading the words 'all i want for christmas is you'

his was green while yours was red and when you stood next to each other the fingers on the sweater pointed to each other.

"okay" george nodded "that is quite funny"

you and quill sat back down in your seats.

"and you didn't plan that?" lockwood asked.

"no" you and quill shook your heads.

"what a surprise" you smiled and he nodded.

pretty isn't pretty

Pretty Isn't Pretty

pairing: anthony lockwood x fem!reader

summary: he was showering you in compliments all while you felt like you weren’t pretty enough

warnings: low self esteem, mentions of grief, bad thoughts

a/n: this is actually bad. i really feel that i am not really able to write for lockwood anymore, but i’m trying to write these last few fics to the best of my abilities, promise :)

Pretty Isn't Pretty

you were looking through the magazine, comparing everything about you to these gorgeous women, plastered over the pages. always beautiful, always perfect.

you sighed, knowing that you would never come even close to that.

anthony lockwood was the kind of boyfriend who showered you in complements from morning to night and still you wondered if he meant what he said.

you hated yourself for thinking that. but there was a small part in your brain that loved to question anything and everything. the clothes you were wearing, the make up, how you looked and how you didn't look and of course your relationship.

it wasn't like you wanted to question everything anthony said to you, but you felt like you had to. he told you you were beautiful three times a day and sometimes you wondered if he meant it or just needed to persuade himself of that.

the relationship with anthony was the first real long and healthy relationship you had. the boys that had come before him were never a mere possibility, and it seemed the reason for that had always been you.

never giving enough, never wanting enough and most importantly, never being enough.

it felt like there was always someone better. someone more loving, someone more needing and someone prettier.

the relationship with anthony was so good, you almost couldn't believe it. probably why your head always tried to convince you it was too good to be true. as if everything you had could suddenly slip away if you stopped working on yourself.

you didn't want him to slip away. but you also didn't want him to be in a relationship with someone who he felt wasn't enough for him.

it was a constant balance between happiness and self doubt and you were so tired of it. it was like a constant companion, turning every good moment into a situation for you to analyze.

it was exhausting to say the least and without you noticing, anthony became aware of something going on with you too.

"what are you doing?" you looked up at the voice and noticed anthony leaning over the couch behind you

"reading a magazine" you raised the magazine in your hands

anthony sighed, knowing which thoughts were running through your head. “i know what you’re thinking” he said softly, nudging your shoulder in a comforting way

“you do?” you asked surprised. you had thought that you had been subtle, successfully keeping the doubts in your head unnoticeable for him.

he nodded his head, rounding the couch and sinking into the fabric next to you. he took the magazine and closed it, throwing it on the table. “of course i know” he muttered and you saw the hurt in his eyes.

you weren’t sure if he was hurt because you were thinking what you were or because you had been keeping it from you.

“you know that you can tell me anything, right?” his brown eyes almost made you cry

“i know” you sighed, ashamed at the conversation you were having right now, ashamed her that you even though what you were thinking “i’m sorry for keeping it from you”

“i know you don’t do it to hurt me” anthony said “but it still hurts. as if there was a part of you, not even i am allowed to see”

“it’s shameful”

“no it isn’t” he shook his head “i love everything about you, even the hard things, especially the hard things”

your lip shivered. “sometimes i don’t think i deserve you”

“that’s rubbish” anthony took your hand in his “do you remember my parents death anniversary? i was ugly crying the entire day and you never left my side. i was ashamed of that for a long time”

“you were?” you asked surprised, never really getting the thought that he might have similar insecurities plaguing his mind

“of course”

“well i never even thought it was weird or wrong. i know how much you love your parents, i could never make you feel ashamed for how you feel about them”

“exactly” anthony said “and with you it’s the same way. anything we think is shameful makes the other love us even more, don’t you understand? you don’t have to be perfect for me to love you.. i love you even more because you aren’t” he assured “that doesn’t mean your feelings are not valid! it’s okay to not always feel good about things, but it’s important that you tell me about it, alright? how should i be able to help you when you don’t tell me what’s wrong?”

you smiled at him and squeezed his hand. “i love you” you kissed his cheek “and you really don’t mind to speak about it?”

he shook his head “never” he assured “i love you”

—i forgot that you existed

I Forgot That You Existed

pairing: anthony lockwood x sibling!reader

summary: the reader had a bad day at school

warnings: none i think

notes: pretty short, soz! :(

you tossed your backpack across the room, slumping down in your usual seat on the couch of the living room.

your brother was sitting in his chair, mindlessly turning the pages of one of his magazines, completely ignoring you, until you sighed loudly.

he closed the magazine and looked at you expectingly.

“hey” you greeted.

“hi” he smiled hesitantly “how was school?”

“unbearable” you muttered frustrated “i hate going there”

“who doesn’t?” lockwood smiled and you could help but grin a bit at his words.

“you’re right” you said “school is pointless, i don’t even know why i have to go there, it’s not like i’m learning anything anyway. and it’s a building full of miserable and awful people who have nothing better to do than being mean”

“woah” lockwood raised his arms, surprised at your sudden rant and the shift in mood “where is all this coming from? you used to love going to school”

“well, i don’t anymore” you crossed your arms, falling back into the comfortable cushion of the couch.

lockwood sighed, before he got up and sat down on the couch next to you. “do you want to tell me what happened?”

“it’s nothing”

“it’s definitely not nothing” lockwood argued, shaking his head “something that happened has made you so angry that you suddenly hate going to school, doesn’t sound like you”

“yeah” you sighed “i know”

“so? care to share with your brother?” he was wearing that sympathetic smile that always got you to open up to him. he knew how to make you feel safe and heard and you always told him everything.

“i just got a bad grade today”

“oh” he nodded “which subject?”

“english” the silence was loud and you looked up to witness the surprised expression on your brothers face.

“english?” he repeated “that’s your best! your so good at it”

“i know” you breathed “that’s the reason it’s bothering me so much. even harry mace got a better grade! and i know for a fact that he stays up all night playing video games”

“i’m sorry, y/n” lockwood patted your shoulder “that sucks”

“yeah and not only that, but i also have a math exam next week and i understand nothing of what we talked about. it makes up 50% of the grade, i can’t flunk this one”

“shit” lockwood muttered and you nodded.

“indeed”

“i’m sorry school is hard, right now” lockwood said, while you nodded “but it’ll get better eventually”

“i know, it’s just a lot right now”

“yeah” he smiled “but don’t worry we’ll help you. you know, george is quite the genius when it comes to math and lucy is great in english. you just have to get back in your flow and everything will be alright”

“you’d really do that?”

“of course” he laughed “we’re your family. and please let me know if anyone is being mean or bullying you, alright?”

“thank you” you hugged your brother tightly and you could feel the relaxation set into your features.

“always” lockwood nudged your elbow “do you smell that? seems like george has cooked something for us”

you didn’t need to hear that twice, already on your way down to the kitchen. you were glad that you had a good home and people you could always count on.

“just let me know if i can do something for you, whenever” you said to lockwood, when he arrived at the kitchen door “i’m always there for you too”

he smiled at your genuine offer and nodded gratefully “i will” he assured, before he followed you inside.

teenage dream

Teenage Dream

pairing: george karim x fem!reader

summary: one part of you loved fighting ghosts and doing your jobs, the other isn’t so sure if that’s really the right thing for you

warnings: none, but kinda sad, no fluff at the end like usual :(

you were moving through the room frantically, trying to fight the ghost to the best of your abilities.

george called your name repeatedly, before you turned your head, noticing that he was ready to throw the salt bombs. you quickly stepped aside, leaving room for him to throw them at the type two.

just after the ghost reappeared in the corner of the room, he suddenly disappeared, probably because lucy and lockwood had found the source.

george picked up his rapier, that he had lost at the beginning of the fight, before he stepped next to you, your eyes still fixated on where the ghost had last appeared.

"are you alright?" it took a few seconds for his question to register in your mind, before you nodded. "good" he smiled, but you could see a hint of disbelief in his features. "let's go" he took your hand and both of you walked into the entryway of the haunted house.

lucy and lockwood just came down the stairs when you arrived.

"is that it?" lucy asked and lockwood shrugged, before he finally nodded.

"i think so" he looked around the room, before his eyes eventually landed on you "do you still feel anything, y/n?"

your mind had drifted off and only focused when you heard him call your name. "what?" you asked, not missing the worried expression of george.

"do you still feel anything? any hints of another ghost?" lockwood repeated his question and you shook your head. "great, the one ghost was also all mrs wheeler mentioned so we should be finished" he turned around and walked into the kitchen where he collected the rest of your stuff, lucy helping him.

"are you sure, you are alright?" george asked you once your friends were out of ear shot "everyone of us has been unwell after a mission before, it's normal"

"i'm not unwell" you losely protested "i'm fine, just tired"

"okay" george decided it was no use to press further into the matter. you would talk to him as soon as you felt ready.

"let's go home then" lucy and lockwood carried the huge dufflebags you had brought to the mission. both george and you nodded, before either of you helped one of the others to carry the stuff.

over the next few weeks, george did not notice any strange behaviour from you. he decided that it had just been a matter of tiredness and had resolved by itself.

"happy birthday, dear y/n" the whole of lockwood and co were singing when you came down the stairs into the kitchen.

george had made a beautiful cake, decorated in your favorite colour, candles forming the number 19 in the middle. lucy lightened the candles just as you sat down.

"blow them out" lockwood encouraged.

"and don't forget your wish" lucy added, raising a finger.

you did as you were told, blowing out the candles, while your friends broke out into cheering.

"happy birthday" george muttered, plastering a kiss on your cheek and one on your mouth when you turned your head. he furrowed his eyebrows when he noticed the almost heartbroken expression on your face, but quickly forgot about that as the smile returned to your face.

"thank you guys" you smiled as lucy started cutting the cake.

it was only after that day that george noticed you acting differently more often. you would stay in bed on days were you weren't booked. you would come too late to team meetings or forgot to show at all.

george grew more and more worried and the rest of the team also started noticing that something wasn't right.

george understood that whatever was going on with you, might've been not something you liked to talk about with lucy and lockwood, but he was your boyfriend. though you had created so much space between the two of you, he wasn't sure what to make of it anymore.

he wanted to give you time to sort out whatever was plaguing your mind, when all came crushing down on a particularly dangerous mission.

"today was close" lucy said when you came back that day. her voice was just a whisper as her, george and lockwood watched you walk up the stairs to your room without another word.

"you have to talk to her" lockwood advised, touching george's arm as if to assure his sympathy.

"i don't know what to say" george said honestly "she won't even talk to me and i don't want to press a topic she doesn't want to talk about"

"but you have to" lucy protested "next time it won't be a window that get's destroyed but one of our heads"

"we wouldn't ask this of you, if it wasn't important" lockwood sighed, feeling for his friend and the complicated situation he was in.

george nodded, watching after his friends that walked up the stairs. he resumed to the kitchen, knowing that you would come down most days, making yourself tea, before you would go to bed.

you opened the door to the kitchen just half an hour later, not expecting george to sit at the table, sipping on his own tea.

your eyes were dull and your shoulders slumped. george's heart ached at the sight of you. he couldn't ignore it any longer.

"the water is still hot" he muttered, pointing to the kettle on the stove. "can we talk?" he asked, once you had filled your cup and sat down next to him.

you paused in your movement of stirring the tea, looking up at him with a mixture of exhaustion and resignation. "yeah, sure."

"what's been going on with you?" george asked softly. "you've been so distant lately, you're not yourself. i feel like i'm losing you."

you took a deep breath, your eyes welling up with tears you had tried so hard to suppress. "george, i... i don't know how to say this."

"just say it," he urged, his voice gentle but firm. he was scared of what was to follow, but he had to know, even if it was something he never hoped to hear. "whatever it is, i'm here for you."

you looked away, staring at the floor as if it could provide you with the right words, shame bubbling in your chest. "i've been feeling... lost. like, really lost. i look at my life and i see nothing but ghosts and danger. i feel like i've wasted my youth fighting something that never ends."

george's brows furrowed, his heart clenching at your words. "what do you mean? you're amazing at what you do. we need you."

you shook your head, a tear slipping down your cheek. "but at what cost, george? i look at other people our age, living normal lives, having fun, and i wonder... what if that could've been me? what if i'm missing out on my own youth?"

george reached out, taking your hand in his. "you're not missing out. we're doing something important, something that matters. and we're doing it together."

"but that's just it" you whispered, your voice breaking. "i don't know if i can keep doing this"

"everyone feels lost sometimes, that's part of being a teenager, it's gonna get better" you wished his reassuring words had some effect on you, but they didn't.

"but what if i don't?" your words were just above a whisper.

george's heart ached for you and the pain between your words and in your eyes. his breath hitched, tears gathering in his own eyes. just like you had feared, he didn't have an answer to your question.

"i love you george" you said softly "but i have to find out what i want and who i am, outside of this life. i'm sorry, i wish there was nothing wrong with me, but there is"

george's heart sank at your confession. "there's nothing wrong with you" he tried to assure once again.

"maybe not, but i have to find that out on my own"

"i wish i could do something to help you" george cried "i wish i could fix this mess"

"i know" you said. "but you just have to let me go, let me do this, please"

"i understand. i hate it, but i understand" george nodded "you've given so much of yourself to this job, to us. if you need to find yourself, then... i can't hold you back."

you looked at him, your eyes filled with gratitude and sorrow. "thank you for understanding. this doesn't mean goodbye forever. i just need some time."

george nodded, sniffing back tears. "i know. i'll miss you every day, but i want you to be happy, even if it means being apart."

you both sat there in silence for a moment, holding each other as if it was the last time. it wasn't the ending either of you wanted, but it was the right one. sometimes, love meant letting go.

as you finally pulled away, george whispered, "i hope you find what you're looking for."

you nodded, your heart heavy yet hopeful. "me too"

the morning sun filtered through the curtains of lockwood & co's headquarters, casting long shadows across the room. the air was thick with an unspoken tension, a somber anticipation of what was to come. you stood in the entryway, your bags packed and your heart heavy. today was the day you would say goodbye.

lockwood, ever the stoic leader, was the first to approach you. he had known this day was coming, yet it didn't make it any easier. his usual confident demeanor was softened as he looked at you.

"y/n" he began, his voice steady but laced with emotion. "i know this isn't easy for you. or for any of us. but i respect your decision. you've been a crucial part of this team, we'll miss you dearly and you will always have a place here, if you decide to come back home"

you nodded, tears threatening to spill. "thank you, lockwood. this place, this team, has been my home for so long. but i need to find out who i am outside of it."

lockwood gave you a tight, supportive smile and pulled you into a firm hug. "just promise you'll stay in touch. and if you ever need us, for anything, you know where to find us."

next up was lucy, who had been like a sister to you. her eyes were red, and she didn't bother hiding her tears. "i can't believe you're really leaving," she said, her voice trembling. "i'm going to miss you so much."

you hugged her tightly, both of you clinging to each other. "i'll miss you too, lucy. more than you know. but this isn't goodbye forever. we'll see each other again, i promise."

lucy nodded, wiping her tears away. "you better keep that promise. and take care of yourself, okay? don't let the world get you down."

finally, it was george's turn. he stood a little apart from the others, his face a mixture of sadness and understanding. the conversation you had shared a few days before echoed in both your minds.

he stepped forward, taking your hands in his. "you know how much i'll miss you," he said quietly. "but i want you to be happy, to find what you're looking for."

you squeezed his hands, feeling the weight of your shared memories. "i know, george. thank you for being so understanding. i love you."

he pulled you into a hug, holding you tightly. "i love you too. always."

as you stepped back, you looked at each of them, your heart full of gratitude and sorrow. "thank you all for everything. you've been my family, and i'll never forget that."

with one last look around the room, you picked up your bags and walked to the door. as you reached for the handle, you paused, turning back to see your friends one last time. "goodbye," you whispered, your voice breaking.

you could hear the three of them snifling. "y/n" george called right before you were able to close the door. "it gets better" he assured you for one last time. the words filled with all the love and hope he wanted you to receive.

you nodded, smiling at him and then you left, hoping that he was right.

—shake it off

Shake It Off

pairing: quill kipps x lockwood!reader

summary: quill and you play a prank on your brother and friends

warnings: none i think

words: 1k

“i don’t think this is a good idea” you muttered, following after quill as you both made your way down the street. you looked down the street suspiciously, hand on your rapier, ready to fight if necessary.

it was already way past curfew which made his whole idea all the more stupid.

“you said that about fifty times in the last few minutes” he rolled his eyes “don’t worry, it’ll be fun”

“yeah, at first!” you said aggravated “but then all hell will break loose”

“oh come on! isn’t it worth it?”

“i don’t think so” you shrugged and quill came to a halt, turning around in your direction.

“what do you want me to say? or better, what do i have to tell you to make you do this, huh?”

“i don’t know” your eyes found his blue ones “maybe admit what a bad idea it actually is”

he looked down at you with this look in his eyes that always worked. “this is a terrible, horrible foolish idea” he muttered slowly, coming closer to you “let’s do it and see what happens” he grinned.

you were still not really convinced, but you could never say no to him, especially when he leaned forward and plastered a lingering kiss on your lips.

“fine” you groaned and quill laughed “but you have to make it up to me later”

“don’t worry” he smiled suggestively “i will”

now that you had said yes to his (might say, utterly stupid) prank idea on lockwood, lucy and george, he outstretched his hand, taking yours and walking up the steps to the house. “my lady?” he tapped his invisible hat, before he stepped to the side to make room in front of the door. you walked forward and took out your key to unlock the door. you walked inside followed by your boyfriend.

the prank itself wasn’t even a bit thing in it self, but you knew lockwood would flip and so did quill. his plan was to pretty harmless in itself. break into the house and color the faces of the three while they were fast asleep. you knew that your brother would make you both regret everything the moment he would wake up, but you had to admit that just the thought about that was pretty funny.

“okay, here” quill had pulled out a few markers “non-permanent markers for lucy and george. and one permanent for lockwood” your eyes widened.

“are you mental?”

quill just shrugged. “don’t worry, you’ll do george and lucy and i’ll take lockwood. i’m gonna tell him it was all me”

“you better” you pointed an accusing finger in his direction, before you took the markers out of his hand and walked up the stairs in the direction of george’s room.

you drew a mustache and another set of glasses onto george’s face. nothing too extreme, but it was still looking pretty funny.

you did the same with lucy, except that you drew a few tattoos instead of glasses.

you came down just a few minutes after that, waiting in the living room for quill to come back too.

“i’m finished” quill walked into the room smiling, before stepping next to you and kissing your neck.

“me too” you nodded and turned around, plastering a quick kiss on quill’s mouth.

you cuddled onto the sofa, quickly falling asleep holding each other.

you were wakened by a loud scream. you stumbled onto your feet and into the hallway, temporarily forgetting what you had done the night before, before your eyes fell on lucy and george that were standing in front of each other.

it looked like george had been the one who screamed.

“george! hhat happened?” you asked, rushing to his side, feigning concern.

he turned to you, his face contorted in horror. “look at my face!”

you glanced at him and had to bite back a laugh. the mustache and glasses you drew on him looked ridiculous, but you kept a straight face. “oh my goodness, george, what on earth happened?”

“i woke up like this!” he exclaimed, his voice rising in panic.

meanwhile, lucy burst into laughter, clutching her stomach. “oh, george! you look hilarious!”

lockwood, who had been woken by all the noise, came trudging down the stairs, but the anger in his eyes quickly evaporated, when he noticed both lucy and george's faces.

lucy turned her head and she only noticed now, that her face had been colored too, as lockwood pointed at it, still laughing.

her sour expression quickly turned into a smirk, when she noticed the words on lockwoods forehead, hidden behind his hair.

"wait" lucy exclaimed, before she stepped closer to the boy and drew the hair back with a quick gesture. "ohh" she laughed, when she could finally read the words.

lockwoods own laugh died out, quickly looking and yours and quill's direction, before darting to the closest mirror. "londons tiniest swordsman" he read and george and lucy broke into another fit of giggles simultaneously.

"i'm literally taller than you" your brother cried in betrayal, when he turned back around.

"i'm pretty sure quill wrote that" you said defensively, while you tried to no avail to hold back your marker. "and don't worry guys, it's not permanent"

"well, george and lucy won't have to worry about anything" quill laughed into his fist.

"what?" lockwood asked, his eyes quickly widening in horror.

george, lucy, quill and you sat in the kitchen, drinking the tea george had just prepared after him and lucy had easily washed off their facial decorations, while all of you sat and listened to lockwood cursing both you and quill while he tried to wash off the words on his forehead in the bathroom upstairs.

"well, we should definitely expect some kind of revenge" quill concluded, when lockwoods cursing stopped and loud steps echoed through the house.

"oh, you better" lockwood warned with a sarcastic grin, when he entered the kitchen. his hair was drenched and his forehead bright read from rubbing, with all the words still recognizable.

he pointed a warning finger in your direction, while he filled how water into his mug. "i let you date him and this is how you repay me, you, my own sister?"

"it wasn't my idea"

"well, i don't care" lockwood shrugged "my revenge will hit you just as hard as your boyfriend"

"i guess we have to go through that together" quill assured and you and the rest of the table started laughing at lockwoods angry grumbling.

—the moment i knew

The Moment I Knew

pairing: quill kipps x lockwood!reader

summary: quill and you were a lot closer once, before everything suddenly changed and he was not there when you needed him most

warnings: canon typical violence, angst (with a happy ending)

note: this had been in my drafts for way too long, the ending is kinda meh and i kinda hate all of this so..

"look out, y/n!" kat called and you jumped to the side at the last second, before the ghost could touch you

"thank you" you called towards the girl and continued to try and fight the ghost off. that seemed to work for a while, until it didn't.

"quill!" you called out. the boy had his back facing you, searching through a stake of books at the table. "quill" you repeated "i need you, please" the wail screeched and you jumped aside once again. there was only so much you could do, until it would be able to come close enough to touch you

you continued to fight as much as you could, stepping back when the ghost charged at you once again. you stumbled over a piece of furniture and quickly made contact with the floor, losing your rapier in the progress.

"shit" you exclaimed and watched in horror as the ghost came closer and closer to you "quill" you called for the boy once again, but he was still much more concentrated on whatever he was doing "quill"

the ghost outstretched his arm and— darkness

you shrieked up in bed, forehead drenched in sweat, once again being awaken by the nightmare there replayed itself in your worst nights.

you got out of bed, changing into comfortable clothes. the walk down to the kitchen was quiet, only filled with the chatting of your friends.

"morning" you smiled, entering the kitchen and sitting down next to your cousin, anthony lockwood himself.

"morning" your friends chimed

lockwood noticed the stoic look on your face, just how he noticed about everything that you did. he was always concerned of your well-being, especially after your almost death a year ago, while still working for fittes.

the moment he had heard what happened, he showed up at your doorstep and talked you into joining his newly founded agency. at least he could have a look over you.

he hated kipps even more, after what he did to you.. or more precisely.. didn't do.

"it's the nightmare again, isn't it?" he muttered and you nodded softly

after you joined the agency you had resigned to only do researches, helping george and mostly staying away from cases, your trauma being too much for you to handle that again.

lockwood was glad that you decided to stay away from fighting ghosts, but he was concerned either way. you had always loved working in the field and never were scared before facing a ghost. that all had changed and in some moments, anthony thought he didn't recognise you anymore.

"we'll talk about it later, yeah?" you asked to stray away his eyes from your form. lucy and george watched curiously as you leaned back in your chair and slowly started biting down your sandwich.

"you look tired" noticed george and you nodded

"the traffic was too loud, I will try to catch some sleep later" none of your friends said anything about the obvious lie. they knew it was your way of telling them to just drop the matter. they all shared a glance, before returning to the topic they had been discussing before. a new case that had just revealed itself this morning.

"i think we should take a stop at the library" george suggested

you smiled at that. "oh yeah, we haven't gone there together in forever!"

the rest of the group nodded, happily accepting the shift in your mood and continued eating. after breakfast you cleared the table and took your stuff, heading to the library.

you stood in the middle of two rows of shelfs, a few feet away from the table the group had sat down at. you could hear lockwood's faint voice. he sounded... angry?

you collected all the books you needed in your arms and went back to the table. the last thing you caught was what lockwood had to say, before you arrived. "y/n will be back any minute, i want to see you gone by then"

you looked up and caught kipps' eyes across the table. he looked at you, interest in his features. you hadn't seen much of each other in the past year, always keeping away from places you knew the other person could be.

"quill" you greeted neutrally

"y/n" he nodded

"what did I tell you?" you could feel lockwood's anger bubbling.

"i'm sorry" quill shook his head "i wasn't aware that you had bought the library"

lockwood rolled his eyes. "we haven't. but here are a few tables where we wouldn't have to see your faces"

quill ignored him completely. he stepped next to where you still stood and took a glance at the books you held in hand. his face was so close, that you could feel his breath fan over your neck. if you had moved your head, you probably would've kissed.

you knew that quill didn't do it to anger you. after all he was mostly searching for your forgiveness. the letters he send you never stopping. lockwood didn't know about that, and you would never tell him, because in his eyes quill didn't deserve one second of your attention, while you were only mere seconds away from breaking and forgiving him.

quill only did this to anger lockwood, but you knew he was concerned about you. you just get yourself back in a position where you were dependent on that concern.

"leave them alone" lockwood bellowed and quill grinned, resting his hand against your waist and giving it a gentle squeeze. you looked at him and you could see the sincerity in his eyes.

in your head, you had forgiven him a long time ago. you were still distanced and hurt, but you knew that he hadn't done it to hurt or potentially kill you on purpose.

it were still the same feelings that made it hard for you to stir away from the boy. in his letters, he had talked about those same feelings he harboured, not that lockwood would let you out of the house without lucy, george or himself, so there wasn't a chance to pursue anything.

and you weren't even sure if you still wanted it.

he stepped away from your body, and something in you was sad at the warmth that left with him. but that was the weak side of you, the side that would read his letters and cry itself to sleep or that would sometimes even answer them. you had to get over him and you had to do it fast.

the next morning you all stood in front of the house that you had spent the whole day before researching. lockwood had just parted you in two teams, this was the first case you would join again, after the incident.

but before you could walk in, a deprac van honked and came to a halt next to you. barnes stepped out and greeted you all with a warm smile and the look of his eyes that clearly said 'i have to do this so just accept it'

you all looked at him questionly, but before he could explain, why he was even here, the back doors of the van opened and quill kipps, followed by his team members stepped outside.

"oh hell no" lockwood said loudly, but you knew that barnes couldn't do anything against it.

"sorry, tony" quill shrugged his shoulders and looked absolutely everything, but not sorry

"hey" said kat, before she hugged you in greeting, bobby and ned following

"hi" you smiled back at your former team members

quill was the last to greet you and he just touched you lightly at the arm.

"stay away" lockwood bid at him

"it's alright, anthony" you said softly. lockwood watched in disdain, how your eyes looked up at the blonde and followed his every move, you looked at him like he had hung the moon and lockwood stepped forward in protest

"it's alright, tony" quill repeated your words, softly stroking your cheek, before he stepped away. you immediately missed his touch.

"why are they here?" lockwood turned his head at barnes, waiting for an aexplanation.

"because it's a big building" barnes shrugged "it's already higher than your paygrade, so just be happy i'm still letting you on this case" he crossed his arms and waited for lockwood to protest.

lockwood looked between his friends and of course noticed your pleading face. "alright" he said between clenched teeth. "but we will get our fair share"

"of course" barnes nodded, before he got back into the car and drove off.

"cozy" kipps raised his eyebrows "so, what's the plan?"

"you're waiting for me to tell you?" lockwood asked in surprise

"well" kipps shrugged "you were here first" he paused and lockwood didn't miss the quick look in your direction "and i'm trying to be amicable"

"great" lockwood nodded sarcastically "i say we split up. your team will take the west wing and mine the other — wing, yeah"

"wouldn't it be smarter so split according to our talents?" lucy asked from behind the boy

"lucy" lockwood hissed

"yeah" kipps almost jumped into the air at the opportunity "that means y/n is coming with us and bobby stays with you"

"you must be mental if you really think i would let them go with you" lockwood walked closer to kipps

"it's alright" you pushed your arms in the middle of the two boys' bodies, seperating them.

"no, it's not" lockwood said

"it is!" he raised his eyebrows in surprise at the adamant tone in your voice

you reached for kipps' arm, dragging him into the building behind you. the rest of his team following.

"i will kill you if something happens to them" you could hear lockwood call after you

quill flashed a cheeky grin at lockwood over his shoulder, fully aware of the storm he had stirred up. you led quill and his team through the dimly lit corridors of the mysterious building, a mix of emotions swirling inside you. lockwood's warning echoed in your ears.

"what's wrong?" you asked, turning to face quill, when he halted in his step. he put a finger to his lips, signaling you to be quiet.

kat and ned had taken on the rooms down the corridor on the second floor, while you and quill had stayed back, searching the first floor.

“someone’s coming” quill whispered, reaching for your arm.

you saw the ghostly form approaching, slowly it came down the stairs. it was like if you had been frozen. the past years flashed before your eyes, the house and the touch of a ghost you had almost felt. you thought you had left it behind you.

“y/n!” quill shook you “y/n, come on” he was looking between you and the ghost. he noticed your eyes not moving from it.

“i—“ you tried to speak, but you weren’t able to utter a single word.

the ghost was too close now. quill drew his rapier, knowing that he would have to fight it on his own. and he put up quite a fight, throwing salt bombs, before he was finally able to get rid of it, atleast temporarily.

“we need to go” his hands were on your shoulders and the ghost was nowhere in sight, but you still looked so scared. quill knew that he was to blame for that. “y/n”

he could hear the ghost come back to life behind him. it did not take him longer to decide what he had to do. it was to no use to fight it off, he did not have anymore salt bombs and a source was nowhere in sight, not that he would’ve known what it was.

he picked you up, just as the ghost began charging at you. and he ran, calling for help or someone to finally pull a few silver net over potential sources.

someone might’ve actually found something, because right as it was too late, the ghost disappeared and quill came to a halt.

“y/n!” anthony called, sprinting into the hallway, closely followed by lucy, george and bobby. “thank god” he sighed when he noticed that you were alright.

“thank you” you looked at quill, who had saved you. “quill saved me” you said, turning your head to look at lockwood.

lockwood nodded, wearing a tight-lipped smile, before he outstretched his hand, shaking quills to thank him.

“i just did what i should’ve done a year ago” quill answered uncomfortably “i’m sorry for all the hurt i caused”

you nodded, already having made the decision that he was truly sorry and did not longer deserve to be punished for it.

“everything is okay, quill” you just said. quill smiled at you and even lockwood could not stop his features breaking into a grin.
