In all fairness, that's pretty much how I play fighting games myself, so I can't exactly judge Takato's choice in strategy.

Also, there's probably some jokes to be made at the expense of the gameplay mechanics in a lot of the Digimon video games that have been released over the years, but as previously established, I'm really not qualified to make those jokes.
