Prompt From Procrastination:
Prompt from procrastination:
Izuku notices that policemen seem tired after dealing with a case that involved him somehow (I'm imagining a police officer coming to talk about laws, or one of them helping him become unlost). And so he wants to do something nice, but he doesn't want to take up their valuable time working on a case, so instead he goes overboard by buying a mask and hacking the cameras so that he can give them muffins, along with a supportive note. And then he spots the police officer again after a hero fight and they seem better and it just...spirals. Soon he is sneaking in to give the entire police force in the station food every Wednesday or so, or giving supportive notes to people on cases, sometimes giving helpful analysis or pointing out things they missed and even fixing the coffee machine. And he doesn't realize that respecting policemen isn't like a normal thing? So each time he compliments them on a case well done, or tells them that there was nothing they could have done to make the situation better, they get really surprised and happy that they are being acknowledged? And at first they tested the food and studied the handwriting but now they've just accepted this kind helpful Cryptid.
And then Eraserhead finds out somehow, and is so confused and concerned. Like, Naomasa (I can't spell the last name sue me) don't eat the cookies if you don't know where they came from! No I don't care that they fixed your coffee machine, that doesn't mean that this isn't breaking and entering and a serious breach of security! And then one time he comes back really late, eyes smarting, and he finds prescription eye drops out, with a written apology for worrying him about his friends in the police force and that they can stop if he wants them to. And then he feels bad and touched and joins the Cryptid Thanks Club. (CTC) for short)
Bonus if another hero scares Izuku off, so this police station refuses to work with them, and they hold animosity to them, and now the police and Eraserhead are trying to find their resident Cryptid to thank them and convince them that yes, they liked the cookies and gifts, and no they weren't bothering the police station or creeping them out. (Eventually they do leave a note that Izuku finds and he returns to helping them)
(I'm using them because they don't know Izukus gender)
Further bonus if there is a sequel to this where they finally find out that it is Izuku after like the Stain incident or something, where he is like "Sorry [insert Naomasa's last name] I know how hard you were working on that other case right now" And Naomasa just nods and doesn't remember until like 9pm where he bursts into the police station and states (with no small degree of enthusiasm that "Guys, I know who our Cryptid is! It's Midoriya!" And everyone drops everything and scrambles to get their premade gifts or whatever, and then the next day Izuku gets home and there is a big box full of gifts and thank yous. And Izuku opens each one, crying all the while, and as gratitude for the gratitude, spends the night sneaking in a giant cake for the police station.

Bnha/Mha Fusion AU
Okay, so I recently found the fusion artworks for bnha (or mha) and I love the idea. However, I got this new headcannon about for Izuku. So in my headcannon, for the fusion to be stable, it has to be 50/50, right? And the 50/50 is the physical aspect and the mental aspect.
Since Izuku is nice (fuses really easily) Bakugo practiced fusing with him a lot. Since their personalities are basically opposites, they were really unstable though. And Bakugo would get really mad when they unfused. So Izuku learned how to split differently. (90% physical and 10% mental) to stay stable and let Bakugo take the reins. (He mentally hides so Bakugo can't verbally bully him in his head) And since he fused with Bakugo the most, even after getting into UA with AFO and taking Fusion Classes, it remains this way.
So the majority of his fusions are basically someone else in (mostly) his body using their quirk. Aizawa is confused/worried. Izuku thinks he's doing great because fusions are always meant to be stable and his fusions are always stable! (he also does this kinda as a mental safety feature because they share thoughts and he doesn want them listening to his muttering or depressing thoughts)
Aizawa is all like "kid that isn't how fusions are supposed to work. It's supposed to be 50/50"
Izuku: "It is 50/50, though, see?"
Aizawa: *knows Izuku is technically correct, but is inherently wrong* "50/50 on both mental and physical aspects"
Izuku: "But then I like it better this way"
Aizawa: "kid..."
(When working with his friends, it ends up increasing more towards 20-25%)
And since the Sports Festival, let's say Shinsou joins "for practice" So imagine Aizawa's surprise when Shinsou and Izuku merge, and they end up a good 35-65% physical aspect (Izuku obviously being more) and instead of getting more positivity as Aizawa expected, they get more determination, better quirk use and somehow more dark jokes and sarcasm. And then afterwards Shinsou just stares at Izuku before they are assigned to move. (Because Izuku mutters some helpers and lets Shinsou hear him because he knows how it is to be in Shinsou's place and wants to help/inspire)
And then Shinsou skips practice with Aizawa the same day (Aizawa is totally not concerned/upset... not at all...) (During which, Shinsou is like "how do you understand me? You're just another person with a flashy quirk whose been told all their life that they'd be a great hero!" And Izuku is like "My quirk came in during the Sports Festival" and Shinsou is like "oh." and then Izuku gives him more pointers on his quirk, lets him practice on him, and hugs him when Shinsou just stares at him, shocked that he didn't get scared away) And then when Izuku and Shinsou do it again, it is 50/50 and Aizawa is impressed... and then concerned again. Because even though it is 50/50 the personality is still double sarcasm and dark jokes and determination. Although now they smile a bit more and help others. And now Aizawa is wondering how much of the cinnamon roll is actually positivity and not a mask. And also why the heck they are still scared of teachers or mistrust other students.
ShinDeku:
•Still sarcasm and dark jokes
•more determined
•smarter quirk use for Shinsou
•good tactics
•likes helping others
•has nice smiles like Izuku, just harder to get
•excellent poker face/acting skills
•almost godlike reflexes
•more confident, (Izuku building up Shinsou) but still insecure (More Shinsou, some Izuku)
•Less likely to take words to heart than Shinsou
Quirks: Brainwashing and AFO (enhances Brainwashing too by upping victims pain threshold to snap out of quirk)
Extra Ability: Charisma
When used, can effectively inspire audiences, as well as cause people to trust them, and make people 25-50% more likely to answer.
(I feel like Im required to make a fanart now, so ta da?) (I couldn't figure out the hair so it's stripes now I guess)

You know that one post about the girl (I think?) who sells her soul to Satan for a friend, and then Satan is attached? Consider I make it worse. What if Satan didn't put a time limit on that, simply because he(today Satan is a he) is patient. And he is attached, and doesn't really want her in Hell, but he can't cancel it, so he settles for letting her live a long life. However, what if the girl didn't tell him that she had a brain tumor/incurable disease and she wanted to get her bucket list done before she died with someone, but she didn't have any friends. And so Satan and her hang out every few days, but she hides her illness because she doesn't want her friend to worry. Then something happens, and Satan needs to go do something for a month or so, about four years after she sold her soul. And he comes back to find her in a coma. And he finds he can't do anything. But he doesn't know how long it will take before they decide to pull the plug. So he has to wait, and watch her slowly waste away. It takes sixth months, and by the end, she is as thin as a sheet of paper. When she pops into his throne room later in the day, the first thing he asks is "Why didn't you tell me?" And her response is "There was nothing that could be done, and I didn't want to worry you."
Imagine if Naruto, the anime/manga, actually wrote Sakura right
For those not in the know
Examples of her character not being given the chance to grow:
just becomes a medic after Naruto - no super strength she worked so hard for I guess
marries sasuke - apparently he and Naruto are just Really Good Friends, and she loves him despite all the things he did against her
after time skip, she gets stronger but literally nothing else changes
still has a crush on Sasuke after Konoha crush/actually wants to go with him? Dude he helped the guy who murdered hundreds? You think she likes him after that?
Consider that she wouldn’t be so forward with Sasuke if she had realized the first episode was Naruto flirting and not Sasuke?
Never touched on the genjutsu thing?
Tsunade is the only Sannin with real backlash to using her gift?
Sakura forgives him right away? Even though he tried to murder her? Literally on the sidelines for almost everything?
You know? Today I woke up and decided angst. So I present to you the barest outlines of a songfic for the song It Took Me By Surprise, but instead of Bakugo's viewpoint being the song, it's Izuku's.
Warning: Victim Blaming Themself/Self Blame
_readmore_
I would react badly
To the slightest hint of hesitance
("Hey do you want to play heroes today?" Izuku asked, eyes flitting to Bakugo. Bakugo frowns, contemplating. "It's okay if you don't want to, really, we can play tag or hide and seek or pillow forts or-")
(Izuku as a kid going back on his words if Bakugo waits too long to answer, because of his insecurity and empathy. Think after Bakugo got his quirk but before Izuku got his diagnosis)
He'd bend awkwardly to suit my mood
No word from his defense
("Shut up! Of course I want to play heroes! Stupid Deku". Bakugo stood up, stomping over to the playground. "Are you coming or not?!")
(He feels as though Bakugo only chose the first one because he felt obligated to because that is what Izuku would do)
I'd cry knowing how my tears
Felt like acid burning through his skin
("Stop crying, stupid nerd! It's just a scrape. You'll be fine!" Bakugo leans down, eyebrows furrowed, and holds out a hand. "We're going to be heroes and heroes don't cry about getting injured. Come on!" After Izuku gets up and starts following Bakugo again, Bakugo's shoulders untense and his eyebrows relax.)
(He believes that it is his fault for not holding back his tears because he knows it hurts Bakugo to see him cry)
Pushed every little button
But the right one that would let me in
(Blames himself for not being able to react/read Bakugo’s feelings correctly)
Now he's afraid of me
Now he's afraid of me
(Bakugo pushes him away and his attempts to help because Bakugo is afraid to need help, to been seen as weak)
It took me by surprise
The hatred in his eyes
(Izuku remembering the first time Bakugo said he hated him, and meant it)
I've pushed this man as far as he could go
But he lacked the words to let me know
(Bakugo being too mad to gets his thoughts out You-You- You motherfu! I’m not- I’m not weak! Leave me alone!)
He acted out, now I can see it is my fault
(Izuku being pushed to the ground by Bakugo)
I made changes
That went unnoticed
Sang songs for deaf ears
(Izuku apologizing, Izuku getting out of the way, Izuku leaving him alone, Izuku changing his favorite things so Bakugo wouldn’t feel copied))
He mistook my silence for punishment
(Bakugo thinking that Izuku is doing this because he thinks Izuku looks down on him)
As it had been all these years
(Bakugo showing a consistent belief in this as they grow up)
I'd cry knowingly how my tears felt like acid burning through his skin
(Izuku crying even though he thinks himself weak for doing it because he knows it bothers Bakugo and then later he knows that Bakugo gets mad when he cried)
Now he's afraid of me
Now he's afraid of me
(Izuku knows that Bakugo sees him as a threat, even if he doesn’t know why)
It took me by surprise
The hatred in his eyes
(Izuku remembering Bakugo’s hatred during the U.A. finals/ first battle)
I've pushed this man as far as he could go
But he lacked the words to let me know
He acted out, now I can see it is my fault
(Izuku feeling as though his question in the Finals was a push too far, and that Bakugo only punched him because he could not articulate how he felt. Him feeling responsible for Bakugo’s actions in the rest of the finals)
Random Thoughts: Persephone and Hades Pt 1
The classics portray Persephone as a maiden, pure, who was kidnapped and tricked by Hades and was forced to become The Queen of the Underworld for Sixth Months. But that has a lot of things wrong with it.
So let's turn that in its head. Hades is not one for petty games and crimes and lack of empathy and thought like Zues, nor is he uncontrollable and everchanging and volitile like Posiden. Instead, he is just and he is fair. He has to believe that life is precious in order for the murders and abusers to be sent to the Fields of Punishment. He has to be caring about others to give those that did good things a place in the Islands of Paradise and give them a chance to be reborn when they tire of it. He has to be kind to make the dead forget their life in the Fields of Eislym so that they will not spend their time dead waiting and grieving and hurting.
So when the apathetic (he has to be apathetic or he will fall apart) Thanatos picks you up from whence you were, you will not find a malevolent God of the Dead, you will not find someone who will look down on you from a throne, you will find a man who sits next to you on a soft couch or bed, and he will turn to you and say "Tell me everything" And he will listen, and he will get mad at the injustices and happy for you successes. And when you are done, when you have spilt every second of your life from your lips, he will hug you and give you a choice. To choose to rest, or to wait and try again. And when you step out the door of that safe place with the fireplace and the blankets, he will remember you. And he will not judge.
Hades is not the hand of Death, nor is he the creeping cold. He is not that which burns or that which drowns. He is the soft comfort of silence after a long day. He is the inviting dark and the cover of dark that reveals the stars. He is the quiet of old dusty and forgotten libraries. He is a friend. Thanks
