So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.
AI art bros are big mad about it.
Not sure if this will help but there are sites you can use to 'poison' your art so AI can't steal it. I'll add links once I find the sites again.

AI can't process glitch effects properly, resulting in corrupted results. Glitch filters can be found on free apps like Picsart and even art programs like Ibis Paint X.
What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?
An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:
I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.
Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.
A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)
So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.
I hate AI "art"
i hate AI. its not even worth calling "AI art" because it's a souless mashup from stolen artwork made by people to lazy to attempt to begin drawing or expressing themselves creatively. It will never mimic the human emotion behind a 5 minute doodle on paint.
I am rather firmly set in my belief that nostalgebraist-autoresponder is the only good ai.

Almost all of my favorite shows (Rise, Dark Crystal, Inside Job, Infinity Train) were cancelled…BY NETWORKS! Not by writers! Heck! The writers WANTED TO KEEP GOING! To keep making their characters, their art, and their stories told.
Writers are no the problem. Artists are not the problem. They almost never are! Corporations are the problem. Execs are the problem. So many great shows get sabotaged by their own studio (I.E. Rise of the TMNT) and then the studio turns around and acts as though it was the lack of fan engagement. It’s why I tend to watch shows that were made years in the past. They created the problem and now they’re scapegoating writers.
If studios gave up on every show that had a lackluster first season that didn’t pull in the numbers…we wouldn’t have had classics like the Office, OR Parks and Recreation, OR Brooklyn 99. It took a while for those shows to get good.
Writers WANT to create! It’s the studios/corporations that are the problem. It’s A.I. art that is the problem!
Reward writers! Reward artists! Support them! Not the big company’s that don’t respect them!
And don’t ever give up the fight for what you want!
I honestly do not think “AI will never be as good as human creativity” is a good argument at this point. Like yes, it is true right now, but they’re just going to keep trying to prove it wrong. To me the line is, “Modern AI is built off of PLAGIARISM, UNPAID and UNDERPAID labor.” AI is a labor rights issue, not just for the people who’s labor it would replace, but for the people whose labor was STOLEN for the AI to “create” anything.

People love to pretend Ai is a neutral ground when it comes to art. "Ewwww! Artists cost money! We don't have the ability to pay them, so we'll just generate it!" I'm not afraid of saying any human art is better than any ai generated image because it has soul! Had this exchange blurred his name because even if he was a dick and kept calling me kiddo (reddit behavior) I am not after his head.
He wants to white knight for ai so whatever at the end of the day. He's just a fool who doesn't know what it means to be an artist, but this entire kicking up of sand got the creator to make a pinned comment here:
Seriously, I know art isn't easy, but giving up and just generating it is quitting. The towel is thrown in before the game starts.
An artist friend told me that in order to get better, you have to try. Pick up a pencil, a stylist, anything! You can do it if you put your mind to it, and while I'm still not where I wanna be, I encourage everyone to try.
I've never wanted to draw out of pettiness before, but I'm not going to draw it because artists aren't free, and they shouldn't need to be for people to consider commissioning them
i forgot to share a cute tote bag i had gotten last weekend cos i promptly stuffed yarn and a new project in it asdkjlf
but i visited a smallish, nearby ren faire (it was more like a market but still cute) and found someone selling merch with art on it that had a really cute, vintage-y style/feel art style to it.
i'm really glad i found it and their shop bc their art is really cute ~
i refuse to share/show art on this website or any other that implements the usage of environment killing, resource wasting theftware (genai etc). artists and creatives work hard for their skills and deserve credit, compensation and respect. pick up a pencil and do the work if u want to be one of us.

i liked coding and perused that and all i got was the terrible knowledge that no one here cares about Humanities, Ethics, or the Arts. They’d find a way to sell your soul just for the fame of knowing they were the ones to make that innovation.
