I HATE Akio Ohtori SO SO MUCH but omg his WRITING. He was written spectacularly and his symbolism???? His dichotomy of his once cruelly naive "prince" and and his current warped self who despises yet somewhat desires to be back in that era of his life. His eternal split between the two becoming almost different people.
Makes me wanna redraw some of Akio's scenes with Dios as 51/49 KDJs or even Phos. But alas, the patriarchy/groomer/UGH symbolism that follows Akio and Dios is a stench I cannot get rid of and other RGU fanatics will probably point the swords of hatred at me if I do that
I still detest Akio Ohtori though for everything

Akio being... Akio
so funny to me that akio explains how his name relates to satan in a super long winded speech that sounds like the writers of the show just desperately trying to get the audience to appreciate the thought that went into his name. but then it turns out that akio named himself. so it was actually him, in-character, trying to get the audience to appreciate the thought he put into his name like the edgy 13 yr old's self-insert deviantart oc that he is.

This show is absolute bananas, but there are still some things I really like about it. Mainly, this thing here.
Utena stretches when she's uncomfortable or anxious.
At the hotel scene we see her from akio's view, while thru the whole sequence we hear NOTHING but utena's voice, while she constantly stretches and talks about stuff not remotely related to the moment, shes not talking about whats going to happen between them, shes not talking about the hotel, shes talking about anthy, and how she wishes Anthy was there with them.
Utena clearly isnt comfortable with whats going to happen. Usually in Japan, woman shower before sex, instead of after it.
Utena in a sequence is shown getting out of the shower, while Akio continues to say not a single word. In the actual scene, Utena never looks into Akios eyes, she's looking at anything that isnt him, she's not talking about them having sex, she's talking about what should she do for tomorrow's lunch, shes talking about Anthy, everything while her face clearly resembled discomfort with him on top of her. When he finishes, or penetrates, her whole expression changes, shes gone to discomfort to pain, she obviously isnt happy with it.
Utena Tenjou was raped by Akio Ohtori.
Even if she had said yes in the beginning, she clearly didn't wanted to be there, that was not consent. If someone ur having sex with cant even stop talking about anything but the actual moment thats a damn sign to stop, she didn't wanted to be there.
Even afterwards, in the car scene, going back to Ohtori, her face seems exhausted, sad, which implies she regrets it all, because she's changed now, she can't go back.
In the same car scene, the word "stop" continues to show on the road over and over again.
In the end, Akio didn't stop.
just finished watching episode 30 of revolutionary girl utena and i want this man DEAD!!!! so i channeled my inner 7th grade self and made this stupid ass flip-o-rama thing.. looks straight from one of my 7th grade notebooks LOL
