I want to write a modern TLH university AU with Heronchild as the main ship and major focus on Gracetopher. All the professors are our favourite warlocks. Bridgestock, Claude and Charles are the local assholes. The gang all have their own aesthetics and subjects that they study. Like, Anna does fashion, Thomas has been into Romance languages ever since he spent a year in Spain during high school, Kamala and Alastair are both musically talented and basically the gay best friends of the faculty, Cordelia is a free spirit who takes no one’s shit, does fencing in her free time and runs the chess club. Matthew is the messed up rich kid studying art history, even though his parents are accomplished in politics and science and he’s got major issues about being the black sheep of the family. The Herondales are a really sweet middle class family, Tessa is a respected professor and Will is the principal of a local high school and all the kids love his PE classes. Their children both love books, though James is more into the classics while Lucie is a cottage core queen who wants to become a writer. She recently started dating Jesse, who began working after he got his GSCE to support himself and Grace, because they moved out together to escape Tatiana’s abuse. He supports her education and always says that Grace is the smarter out of the two of them, and will be a great scientist one day. She meets Kit through the Herondales, and James meets Matthew through Thomas and Kit, and we get a ton of Heronchild and Gracetopher content.
It’s just that this would take so much time, I’d have to start once finals are over but then I would have all summer and could see were the story takes me. Someone please tell me to do this🙏🥺

James Herondale: Who is the step-sibling of your future wife who is my love interest.
Christopher Lightwood: I thought that was your sister’s parabatai?
Lucy Herondale: I beg your pardon?
Cordelia Carstairs: Don’t look at me like that! Your brother is hot.
Alistair Carstairs: So, let me get this straight: My sister’s parabatai is going to hook up with her cousin’s cousin, who’s the step-sibling of the girl my sister’s parabatai’s brother has a crush on who is in turn fancied by my sister.
Christopher Lightwood: This family is so screwed up.
The Last Hours theories
I finally will share my theories with you Shadowhunters fans on The Last Hours. I will give some theories on the fake marriage and on my Cordelia Carstairs predictions/theories:
The Arranged/Fake marriage
I know there have been rumors or theories about the marriage between James and Cordelia or Grace and Christopher being fake. In my opinion I don’t think that is going to be the scandal/fake marriage. Just because Cassie said one marriage is fake. Some assume Cordelia’s marriage with James is fake or Christopher’s with Grace.
I think it is actually
Lucie Herondale and Jesse Blackthorn
Think about it. Jesse and Lucie are cousins and it sounds very weird, strange and awkward to marry your cousin. Let it sink in that Lucie and Jesse are related. I think she never would have married her cousin, unless the ‘Jesse’ we know isn’t the real one. I think that when Jesse was brought back to life, it was only a part of him. Maybe in their previous lives they were lovers and not related to one another (and part if that soul is in Jesse)
My Character theory on: Cordelia Carstairs
I think that everyone knows about her crush on James, except for James himself. I think she sometimes will be worried about him like Sophie was worried about Jem in Clockwork Angel and Tessa discovered that Sophie was in love with him.
Her relationship with Alistair:
I think Cordelia and Alistair's bond/family relationship could broken because of two theories:
1. Alistair is hiding a dark secret (not necessary his, could also be his father or mother’s secret) that could ruin the Carstairs name. Like their father, Elias Carstairs, attempting to do necromancy to bring his brother Jonah Carstairs, his sister in-law Ke Wen Yu and Jem back to life (Those who’ve read TMI and TID know the truth about Jem’s fate.) Alistair could be doing something dangerous together with his father that could end up with Cordelia being in danger.
Or
2. Cordelia knew the truth about what he, Cilve Cartwright and another boy did at The Academy to scare James. (Those who’ve read Nothing But Shadows knows about how Alistair was behaving) and she wanted to tell to her parents, but he, for example, pushes her from the stairs and that almost killed her, but in result lost her memory of that day. Alistair feeling guilty about that he almost killed his sister. It’s just a theory.
Let’s just pray that The Carstairs will have a happy ending.
Cordelia’s Feelings for James:
I guess that she deep down knows that he doesn’t love her. (or he does, but he doesn’t realize it yet) But tries to stay optimistic about her unrequited love being returned. If she does start to fall in love with someone else or someone will have a crush on her. Maybe she will have a friendly bond with Christopher.
(Here’s my reason: If you look at Cordelia and Christopher’s flower cards and put them next to Clary and Simon’s flower cards. It kind off look like each other. It’s like Christopher and Cordelia are reincarnated.)
She will develop some feelings for that other person, but will always love James. Cordelia’s Flower card has a Daisy on it. Not is it only her nickname given by James, but the meaning of the flower means ‘Loyal Love’.
Theory on The ‘Found’ Family Tree:
We know that the family tree has some information missing. I think the first thing is that James and Cordelia couldn’t possibly only had one child. They must had maybe two children. One child in hiding perhaps or they had to gave one up?
The death dates of some character are all close to one another. Which is also suspicious. And Why do I not see Matthew Fairchild’ s name
