Currently working on different drafts for a TLH social media AU/aesthetic/thingy and I’m torn between making it celebrity culture with twitter and tabloid headers or just a laid back college setting with insta posts

I’ll probably make a couple posts with insta profiles & stories, private messages, and in case of a celeb AU twitter threads and tabloid headlines.
In either case I can already tell you that it will feature Eugenia, there will be a band, and that Matthew and Alastair make a habit of taking jabs at each other on their public profiles.
Also feel free to send me ideas for what you think would fit for each character/ship in a modern setting.
It’s just generally that the amount of inconsistencies keeps growing with each book series, and in part I think it’s natural for an author to evolve and soft-redcon or change some stuff over the years. But she should’ve never done Livvy/Cameron the way she did it in the first place, so now it’s just a mess. Plus there is something to be said about Malec (as much as I love them it just makes my headache worse whenever I think about this whole age-gap situation).
And I 100% agree that Charles is still shitty for what he did and it’s telling that some people don’t even realise.
Maybe because they’re too young themselves to fully understand or because Cassie (and other ya authors) has been normalising this -even if just accidentally- for years.
it's really interesting how the fandom took charles and alastair's age gap as something clever cc did to show us how toxic charles is. when in reality thule!livvy and thule!cameron had the exact same age gap (their's was worse bc he knew livvy way longer and we don't really know when they started dating) and their relationship was described as something sweet and romantic, and even julian said how happy he is that livvy found someone.
so like...it wasn't cc being smart and a good writer...it was cc being weird and kind of shitty yet again...because she clearly didn't even think about their ages.
also, before someone says something. no, i am not defending charles, he was still a shitty boyfriend who put his career over alastair. it's just something i noticed.
