mango though is a kid /teen. From what I recall from last years Christmas event, there's Butterbears catalog of toys that only had kid cookies and toys are pretty much a kid or childlike thing for cookie run (Ion robot being technically younger than they actually appear and the language barrier making it difficult to tell with space doughnut)
Other short adults though are Rollcake (hammer makes him shorter and gets angry when roller is referred to as a toy) , Lilybell (relationship pair with Blue Lily), Macaron (she looks smaller in kingdom due to sizing) and Ice juggler (statement from the detective case)
the only real way to "confirm" is through holiday based events like Christmas and kids day or the stray crumb of lore
Thanks for letting me know! I'm mostly on Kingdom, so I'm not too familiar with the Ovenbreak events/lore. In Kingdom, he does seem like an older teen/young adult (18-20) because of his travelling alone and having his tour business (I believe he was also employed during the Summer Soda Fiesta events), but I will update the post to clarify.
Also, thank you for the other examples! I'll add those too. You're definitely right though, majority of the cookie ages are ballpark guesses based off of the occasional hints, but at least there's some separation between "literal child" and "adult between 18 - Ancient"

Last Cookie Standing isn't canon
You're taking something that's non canon and treating it like canon. Just like how people thought Sea Fairy was Herb's mother because of the comics.
Plus, there are a lot of child cookies who are train drivers, so you can't use that excuse.
I haven't seen anything that said Last Cookie Standing isn't canon. Even so, this isn't like the Sea Fairy is Herb's mom situation at all; the former is more of a fun thing to go off of, but anyone could tell that lore wise, it wouldn't make sense. Meanwhile, the latter could make sense lore wise, based off how she acts in-game.
Granted, Cookie Run ages are relatively vague, but they do keep them consistent across their different properties, regardless if they're canon or not.
Also, I haven't seen these child train driving cookies- maybe they're in Ovenbreak, and I admit, I'm not as versed in Ovenbreak as I am in Kingdom, but I will look into this as well. Thanks for dropping by and bringing this to my attention.

For the extra info: the child train cookies are Tiramisu and recently Stollen but yeah theyre in Ovenbreak. Dialouge from last years Christmas event confirms Tiramisu as a kid.
For Stollen, she still lived with her family before going away to school for Christmas cookies and will hsve to return home if she fails for the last time. She's in Butterbear's chart as someone who buys all train things in his shop so that's also another indication given toys; also admires Tiramisu and Lollipop has beef with her for taking all the new toys before she can play with them.
From what I see, the trains are based on a more whimsical feel with themes of Christmas magic and dreams so the legitimacy of their qualifications differs greatly especially when there are all these kids running around on their own. Magical schools also appear to follow a different criteria in what counts as graduation. A cookie doesn't have to be an adult to graduate so long as they pull off something incredible that warrants it early

Of course the second part of the update isn't out yet so there's still speculation but it's safe to say that she's at least a teenager considering what little is there

The whimsy behind Christmas and Dreams is a really good point to make too. As I mentioned, I didn't think Milky Way was too old (as an adult), but she's got the energy of "I've been doing this for a while, it's just the same old thing but it's still cool to show people" that I don't think they'd give a child, and though I'm not too versed in OB, I'm not sure if the train there has experienced the kind of peril and danger the Dream Express tends to face.
We may get more information with the Holiday Express update (and if CRK puts out something that effectively destroys my argument, then that's what I get for putting out a hot take about a character days before an important update), but I agree, being an older teen (15 - 17) would also make more sense than her being say, around Gingerbrave's age (younger teens).

Being next door neighbors gives Francis and Steven a lot of opportunities to talk on the way to their rooms once they're let into the apartment, and if they ever want to visit each other, they're only a door away- though they usually opt to go to Francis' apartment since ol' Mclooy tends to ask Francis million questions- though all in good faith! He just wants Francis to feel like he's part of the family.
With Steven and Francis constantly working, their favorite pastime when hanging out is chilling on the couch and talking about their life, their interests, whatever comes to mind. Steven talks about how the new trainee nearly broke one of the planes by putting in the wrong kind of fuel, and Francis talks about how his clients always ask whether or not the milk is poisoned and if he's actually the milkman (something he's gotten more than used to by now but the creativity in how they ask does add the slightest bit of variety to his otherwise dull day). They're pretty stoic guys, but put them together, and they'll talk for hours.
Sometimes they turn on the radio, sometimes one or both of them cook, and if they both happen to be off work the next day, they'll sleep over and return to their respective apartment the next morning.

Everyone knows Hoon Man is semi-mute, and while Sticky Note can communicate, he's a little lacking in expressions. How do they get past this communication barrier? A roll of tape, a lot of paper and even more crayons.
Whoever's working at the office supplies store absolutely jumps out of their skin after seeing a man with a paper for a face and a man who's only form of talking is "Hooooooon" come in, but hey, they always get the supplies for free! Plus, while they're there, they can get a backpack to carry it all in.
Whenever any other dopple tries to ask Hoon a question or strike up a conversation, he immediately takes out a stack of papers to draw out a comic strip of his response. He's not a bad artist, though Notes sometimes has to explain Hoon's silly doodles to anyone that doesn't understand his goofy little mind.
On the other side, whenever Notes is feeling any new kind of emotion, he takes out a paper and draws whatever face he's feeling. He still doesn't look like Steven in the face at all, but Hoon likes being able to tell what his partner is feeling.
There's also those little occasions where Notes lets Hoon draw his faces for him. Those faces get saved with the comics once Notes decides to change them out- after all, they were drawn by his special guy.
hcs.... for.... izaack and francis...... pls.... they make me sick..... in a good way.....

Francis fanon aside, most people can agree that despite his tired eyes, generally disinterested mood, and dry manner of speaking, he's got some quality about him that radiates pure magnetism. Granted, he doesn't know that himself- he just thinks he looks like any other guy- but he's got that "it" factor that attracts anyone.
This includes the big buff news reporter that just so happens to live one floor underneath him.
Izaack himself is all about his looks- he's spent forever working towards his current physical form and takes a considerable amount of time in the bathroom in order to make sure he's as handsome as he can be before leaving his apartment. There's no tooth that goes unbrushed, no hair that goes uncombed, and yes, that is gloss on his lips, thank you for noticing.
...so how come the guy that lives directly above him, the guy that rolls out of bed every morning looking like the world's most sleep deprived rat, looks at him once, goes "Mmmm hello", and makes his heart nearly burst out of his chest.
For Izaack, it was basically love at first sight, and up until they got together, he'd go more than out of his way to make sure he and Francis somehow bumped into each other despite living on two completely different floors. His love language is essentially physical touch and yapping about how excellent of a partner he'd be all the while trying to not expose how nervous he actually is.
Yes, other neighbors have caught this. Yes, they know exactly what he is.
Francis knows too, so imagine Izaack's shock and delight upon hearing Francis ask him out first. He froze immediately and as soon as he finally realized what was going on, he proudly proclaimed that of course Francis would want to ask him out- "You must've been swayed by my charming good looks!"
While this isn't wrong, Izaack's more than vocal about how he feels about the milkman, and makes it a point to always shower Francis with compliments whenever they're together. Francis tries to reciprocate on his end as well, but in the reporter's mind, the fact that Francis felt the same in the first place is the biggest compliment he could ever receive.

Nacha first officially met Selenne while she was catering for a high class event that both twins were at, along with several other V.I.P. models and designers. They'd seen each other in passing before due to being neighbors and exchanged the occasional hello, but it wasn't until this event that they got to know one another.
Nacha's had to work at classy events before and seeing celebrities mingle wasn't a new sight, but something about being surrounded by a lot of people who were well known for being very attractive made her extremely nervous. The leering gazes of all the judgmental models didn't help the case either, and she could've sworn she heard whispers about her every time she walked through the dining hall.
Meanwhile, from one of the tables, Selenne noticed the anxious chef, and upon seeing her heterochromia, she recognized her as the kind mother who lived a floor above her and her sister...but why was she so nervous?
Of course, it was an unspoken rule not to intermingle with the staff- after all, they were here to work, not to frolic- but there wasn't any rule against helping out a fellow lady in need. There was a bit of confusion as Selenne excused herself from the table, but Elenois was more than understanding.
Nacha didn't even realize Selenne had swept her away from the dining hall until she'd finally taken a breath and the model asked her how she was doing.
The two of them then proceeded to talk with one another the remainder of the time- Selenne learned about why Nacha was so nervous and Nacha learned that despite being well known in the modeling world, the only colleague Selenne truly liked being around was her twin. After all, nothing was fun about being around rude coworkers, whether you be a chef or a model.
Selenne vouched for Nacha suddenly disappearing from her work post, but not before asking to see the chef again sometime...preferably where she's more comfortable. Luckily, Nacha has just the little restaurant in mind.

When Angus, Francis, and Steven together, there's always a random chance that Francis or Steven end up being either the secondary agent of chaos or the voice of reason no one seems to listen to. Angus is too much of a wildcard to ever be the voice of reason, no matter what the situation is-
-and if Angus insists on being rational, that's a good sign they should probably run from whatever location they're in as fast as possible-
What factors cause this decision to be made? No one knows truly. Both Francis and Steven are well aware that Angus has more than a few tricks up his sleeves, but the general consensus is that at any point while they're out doing anything, exactly one of the other men will suddenly be on board with Angus' crazy scheme while the other's on constant lookout to make sure they all make it back to the apartment building in one piece.
Case in point: the highly respected businessman wanted to take them out one night, just to go to the local bar, nothing wild (which is always a lie, but the pilot and the milkman go along anyways). Who would've guessed that the bar just so happened to be a popular hangout spot for the mafia and Angus just so happened to have a few unsettled debts that needed collecting from a couple of the patrons? Business settlements that weren't completely settled, he'd say.
A few drinks later and suddenly military man Steven's all in for "settling business debts" by getting some good boxing practice in. By default, Francis simply sets his drink down and keeps an eye out for the cops when they eventually arrive (because 9 times out of 10, they do, and somehow Angus works his magic every time).
The doorman can absolutely tell whenever the three have had a crazy outing, but really, they don't get paid enough to question it.

What do you get when you put two bombastic extroverted flirtatious men together? You get two people with very, very poor skills at hiding a relationship. Not that anyone particularly minds them dating, of course, but pretty much everybody knows that they're together before they state it themselves...and once they do announce it to everyone, the entire building hits them with the "We know".
It started with the two exchanging glances every time they met up in the queue line for building entry, locking eyes for so long that the line before them had long moved up and anyone directly behind them (doppleganger or otherwise) knows exactly what they are.
Once they got to the security window, the not-so-subtle flirting didn't end. Whether or not Angus or Izaack were first in line, they'd conveniently forget their ID and Entry Request just to be able to look back at the other as they slid the papers through the hatch. Does the doorman care? Not particularly. If anything, unless the dopplegangers suddenly decided to get together, watching Angus and Izaack make eyes at each other in the most obvious way at least provides some sort of hint towards them being human. As soon as the both of them are in the building, the two unfortunately have to part ways since Angus lives on the first floor and Izaack on the second. This doesn't mean they have a quick goodbye, of course, it just means that they'll spend the next couple of hours standing by Angus' door talking about how they'll miss one another and can't wait to meet again tomorrow. They think they're being quiet, but really, everyone on the first floor can hear them.
One time a doppleganger got in, saw their public displays of affection, and just...turned around and left. What were they gonna do? Interrupt? Nah, let the gays be.

While most couples would panic at the thought of suddenly needing to raise a child together...Nacha and Francis were actually no different. They were both young and starry-eyed adults at the time, with Nacha going to culinary school and Francis going through college. They were well into planning their future together, saving what they could from their part time jobs (Nacha as a cook in a local restaurant, Francis as a milkman) while using the rest to pay the rest on their shared apartment...
...and then, it happened.
Of course young lovers do what young lovers do, and a few weeks later, Nacha started feeling a little different than usual. Being a concerned boyfriend, Francis urged Nacha to get seen by the doctor, and Nacha, wanting Francis not to worry (while also wanting to make sure she was alright) scheduled the appointment.
When she returned to their apartment after, the two of them locked eyes for what felt like an eternity. The silence was only broken by a few life-changing words:
"I'm pregnant."
Of course, this was something completely unplanned- they wanted to start a family at some point, but right now was far too soon. They were young, they didn't have the money to support a baby and go to school and pay rent, along with so many of their other plans for the future.
...but they had each other.
It was daunting, having to switch gears to prepare to bring a new life into the world, and the first few months into Nacha's pregnancy were filled with a heavy amount of fear and nerves to make sure everything was ready to go. Both took up more shifts, saved more money, lost quite a bit of sleep.
About three-quarters through Nacha's pregnancy, the chef began to notice something. Francis was staying out later at night, seemed to be getting darker and darker circles under his eyes, and yet...the money started becoming less of an issue. It wasn't that Nacha minded the money stabilizing, but...what was he doing?
One day, a few weeks off from the baby was due, Nacha had to ask what Francis was up to- she's noticed.
"Mmm well...I had to do what was best for our family...so I took the milkman job full time..."
The money going towards Francis' tuition as better spent for the baby, in his eyes, and working full time meant he'd be able to be the support they needed. Nacha was ready to drop out of culinary school after hearing that, but Francis wouldn't allow it. She's wanted to be a chef for so long- he wasn't going to let her give that up.
Fast forward to now, Nacha's gotten to be quite the respectable chef. She makes more than enough to support herself, Francis, and Anastacha, but Francis still insists on doing his share. He's Nastacha's father after all.
That's alright for Nacha, anyway- she's putting her money towards a couple of rings and the wedding they never got to have...but don't tell.

While Angus and Francis are relatively the same size (near each other in height and relatively close to the same weight), Izaack's easily got them both beat- he's got about a half a foot on them for height, and due to his thicker build he's heavier than the both of them combined. Having a bigger boyfriend's got it's benefits and its drawbacks.
On one hand, Izaack's the go to when something needs to get taken off of a tall shelf and whenever Francis or Angus get cold, a nice oversized jacket is the perfect remedy. Even then, Izaack is fairly warm himself.
On the other hand...Izaack is extremely physically affectionate. Incredibly so. Angus' main love language is verbal affection and Francis' is quality time, so when Izaack joined the relationship and nearly bowled the two over in a hug, the two were immediately caught off guard.
It wasn't like the two of them were uncomfortable with it, but it took a little bit of time to get used to. There were a couple of mornings where Francis woke up for work and had to try and wake up Izaack to get him to move over, and Angus can't wrestle himself out of the reporter's arms due to his bear hugs, but hey, they aren't complaining.

Being such public figures in their lines of work, Angus and Izaack know a thing or two about making sure they're well dressed. They've had plenty of conversations with one another about fashion, the latest trends, the sharpest styles, secrets only the most fabulous of dressers would know. Anytime they go out, it's a spectacle to see just how good they look together.
Most couples' favorite date ideas would be going to a nice restaurant, perhaps a movie. Angus and Izaack? They go ✨shopping ✨...and then maybe a dinner and a movie afterwards, but the shopping is the main event.
There's no fine clothing establishment that goes unvisited, no tailor that isn't seen to, and if their wallet can handle it (and usually it can), it's being bought. Bonus points if one of them's put something on and the other's reaction is "Oh darling, you look so dashing in that outfit!". In that case, they'll gladly take the store's entire stock.
By the end of the day, the two of them have so many shopping bags that it takes a couple of trips to bring everything inside. After a certain point, the doorman just decided to pause the line so they could bring everything in rather than having to reverify their paperwork every time they went in or out.

Most people know and understand Dr. Afton to be a fairly smart individual- he's a psychologist after all, he's been through years of school, college, the like. He'd like to think he's smarter than most as well...not so much a mark of arrogance as much as it being a factual matter.
Brains are important to him, but he's never said he had anything against brawnier, stronger people. He finds a good, strong personality attractive, actually. Something about an opposites attract magnetism- he could write a theorem about it, but that's for another time.
Enter Mr. Steven Rudboys, both the exception and the rule.
Before the two were neighbors, they met on a military base during a strategy briefing for the pilots. There was an argument about flight pathing- the scientists were saying one thing and the pilots were saying another. It was about to get out of control when Steven spoke up with his own solution that neither side considered.
It took a while for both sides to discuss the idea, but somehow, it made complete sense...which sent Afton's brain into overdrive. He was smart? And strong? Was it possible for such a person to exist? *Obviously yes, but it's the 1950's and Afton is just a little dense*
That's where the attraction started, and every time they crossed paths after that, Afton stopped Steven simply to hear what he had to say. Steven slowly noticed that Afton was really going out of his way to talk to him, but he never minded. It was cute having someone so interested in what he had to say.

Both Francis and Dr. Afton are no stranger to working long days at their respective places of work, and both have a bad tendency of missing each other when one gets back to the apartments. As soon as Francis is done with his milk deliveries, Afton's usually gone to his office, and by the time Afton's home from the psychology office, Francis is already out and preparing to deliver the next batch of milk. Sometimes, they get to share a passing glance, a quick hello, maybe a kiss, but their opposite schedules make it difficult for date planning.
In situations like that, you have to get creative, so Francis decided to kickstart a little tradition if you will. One morning before heading out, he left a little note on the fridge for Afton to find. "Mmm...good morning. I hope you have a good day. I know we don't get to talk much but I still love you a lot. I'll catch you later. - Francis"
Afton usually isn't one to get flustered by small gestures, but something about the small note left behind made this nerd's heart beat so fast he forgot what he was doing at that moment in time. After all, he had to reply with his own message. "To my dearest Francis: thank you for the note that you've left on the refrigerator this morning. It was quite nice to hear from you. Read from you? Regardless. I appreciate the sentiment, and my feelings for you reflect yours for me. I look forward to writing to you again. - W. Afton"
After a while, it got to where the entire fridge was covered in notes, so Afton had the idea of swapping them out every week to make sure the surface wasn't completely covered in notes. The ones from weeks past are kept safe in a lockbox.
