ARK First Impressions
I’m about three hours into ARK: Survival Evolved and I must admit, for a game with “evolved” in the title I’m surprised that it holds up so well.
You are dumped into a world where you begin naked, half starved and without any water or clothes. You’ll likely die several times before you get the hang of hitting the ground running. I was confused for a good five minutes, then I was eaten by predators a few times, then I decided that I should stick to what I know.
Punching trees.
I shit you not, I didn’t really get going until I started punching trees. The graphics are there, the variety of predators and resources is there, the significantly amped up survival parameters are there, but in the end it’s the Cruel Tutelage of Pai Mei that will save your noob life.
Half disappointed, half chuckling I got down to business. Berries are the first available and most abundant food source, but once you manage to make yourself a camp fire- your first major achievement- meat’s back on the menu boys.
Hunting is a challenge, and each kind of prey requires a slightly different approach. A first clubbing them with the axe is the right solution, but as you level- the means for unlocking new tech is a level based tech tree- you quickly learn the superior reach and range advantages of the spear.
Settle in, because apart from mastering construction from thatch, you’re going to spend roughly levels 1-12 in stone age technology. You’ll also want to sort out how to make clothes so you don’t freeze so readily.
I was lucky enough to finally spawn on a relatively placid beach in the south east, some spitting poison dinosaurs maraud on occasion but if you keep to either side they can’t seem to hit you with their venom.
I was recommended this game for its community and I have been cautiously pleased so far. I’ve had several advanced players drop me some handy tools and items, and apart from a weirdo who lives up the hill and felt it was important to drop by my humble beach hut to announce the kinds of things he would shoot me for, I have had a very positive experience with the community.
I decided to give back and so I carry extra waterskins with me and drop them in the inventories of level 1 homeless I find sleeping on the beach. I operate under the assumption that if they have the water to travel they’ll move on and quit wrecking my property value. I live in Jurrasic Malibu after all, I shouldn’t have to be surrounded by the homeless poor.
Who or What is the Ark of the Covenant?

The Ark of the Covenant was a gold-plated wooden chest that housed the two tablets of the covenant (Heb. 9:4). Jewish folklore holds that the ark of the covenant disappeared sometime around 586 B.C. when the Babylonian empire destroyed the temple in Jerusalem. Throughout the centuries, many writers, novelists, ufologists, and religious authors have invented two kinds of wild and adventurous stories about the ark of the covenant. They either talk about fearless treasure-hunters, archaeologists, and paleographers who went hunting for the Lost Ark of the Covenant, or about ancient alien civilizations that made contact with humans in prehistoric times. This has led some authors to the startling conclusion that the ark of the covenant may have been part of a highly advanced ancient-alien technology. But the Biblical data do not support such outrageous and outlandish conclusions.
From a Biblical standpoint, both the “ark of the covenant” and “Noah’s Ark” are symbols that represent salvation in the death of the Messiah. Isaiah 53:5 reads thusly:
he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that
brought us peace, and with his wounds we
are healed.
We can also call it the covenant of salvation based on the atoning death of Christ (Heb. 9:17). If you pay close attention to the biblical symbols and details, you’ll notice that both Noah’s ark and the ark of the covenant represent some type of casket, which signifies the atoning death of the Messiah (that saves humanity). Christ’s covenant is based on his death. Without Christ’s death there is no salvation. That’s what ultimately redeems humanity from death and hell, and allows for resurrection and glorification to occur. Christ, then, is the ark of the covenant, also represented by Noah’s ark (which saves a few faithful humans who believe in God). The caskets are of different sizes. The smaller casket (the ark of the covenant) could only carry one person (the Messiah), whereas the larger one (Noah’s Ark) can accommodate all of humanity (symbolizing those who are baptized into Christ’s death). According to the Book “After the Flood,” by Bill Cooper, “The Hebrew word for ark, tebah, may be related to the Egyptian word db't, = ‘coffin.’ “ Romans 6:3 declares:
Do you not know that all of us who have
been baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into his death?
In other words, it’s not Christ’s incarnation but rather his death that saves humanity. All those who follow him and are baptized into his death are saved!
How is Christ the “ark of the covenant”? Christ is the Word of God (Jn 1:1), the Logos, or the Law of God (the Torah)! That’s why the ark of the covenant doesn’t dwell on earth but in heaven. Rev 11:19 reads:
Then God’s temple in heaven was opened,
and the ark of his covenant was seen within
his temple. There were flashes of lightning,
rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake,
and heavy hail.
Who dwells within God’s throne-room, within God’s temple, and is represented by the ark of the covenant? Answer: Jesus Christ! A similar scenario takes place in Revelation 21:2-3:
And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down out of heaven from God,
prepared as a bride adorned for her
husband. And I heard a loud voice from the
throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of
God is with man. He will dwell with them,
and they will be his people, and God himself
will be with them as their God.’
Notice that the terms “God” and “the dwelling place of God” are used interchangeably. In other words, the metaphors of the dwelling place, the tent of meeting (ἡ σκηνὴ τοῦ θεοῦ; i.e. the tabernacle), the temple and its sacrificial system, as well as the ark of the covenant, all represent God and signify the blood of the covenant or the blood of the lamb (1 Pet. 1:19; Rev. 7:14; 12:11)! Christ is not only the mediator between God and man (1 Tim. 2:5), but also the high priest who offers up his own life for the salvation of humanity (Heb. 7:17). According to Acts 4:12, there is “no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”: not Moses, or Muhammad, or Buddha, or Krishna, or Confucius, or Allah, or Yahweh. According to Philippians 2:10-11:
at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, in heaven and on earth and under the
earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus
Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
Therefore, he who is within the throne-room of God, and “among the people,” is none other than the Second person of the Trinity, Jesus Christ, who “will dwell with them” forevermore (Rev. 21:3). It’s a throwback to Leviticus, which prophesied the incarnation of God, but which the Jews misunderstood and misinterpreted. Leviticus 26:12:
I will be ever present in your midst: I will be
your God, and you shall be My people.
Compare Revelation 21.3:
He will dwell with them, and they will be his
people, and God himself will be with them
as their God.

finally had a dinosaur nightmare XD
So I was trapped on an island with those I love and cherish ofc, and I had lost my little fox pup but it looked different I’ll draw it later. But the helicopter suddenly started flying upwards and away from us, abandoning us on the freezing cold island, then the ground started shaking and I saw why. The fucking indominous Rex burst from the tree line and started after us. There was much screaming and scrambling on the ice as we tried getting away. Most of us got to a little cave that soon became suddenly a big cave with a big entrance that we miraculously built sticks into a strong wall against the Indo. But as I turned around to help people through, I watched my brother (the eldest of my three younger brothers) get eaten alive. Which sucked bc he knew the most about Ark and stuff which will come in later. the indominous wouldn’t leave our cave alone for days. But we had brought snacks so it was okay. My cousins were there too but they had all the Dino facts except about the ones we faced. Eventually, after sending Jesse and and James from team rocket out, they found a fairly fortified house. It didn’t look fortified but ig the indo couldn’t get in? Other than by the doors? Anyway so we all booked it towards the house and we all got in fairly unscraped. And it had wifi so we tried calling 911 but they kept not believing us or they knew but they were too damn scared to rescue us. So everyone basically gave up which maddened me. So I got tired of it and scavenged narcoberries (ark) to make a bunch of narcotics. Then I made that little bamboo shooter gun I saw on Tik tok and loaded it with tranq laced bamboo to shoot the the indominous which was now circling our house along with the Scorpius Rex. After I knocked the Indo out the Scorpius for some reason didn’t bother me as I took my stone hatchet and hacked and tore off the limbs of the indominous, then dropped it to bleed out in a hole. Then finally 911 took us seriously and sent help. And we escaped. It was very vivid. I felt the warmth of the indo’s body as I hacked away. That’s how vivid my dreams are, I felt the little pebbles in my shoes, the stickiness of blood in my hair, the pure hatred and revenge I needed for my brother.

Hi people. Mmh, it’s the first time I post on Tumblr.
So the thing is I am really bored right now and I am willing to draw what people want. I know a lot of fandom in the gaming community, for example: World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Ark, Fallout 4,Undertale, Slime Rancher, Blood Bowl, FNAF... And I could go on and on.
I also know other fandom, as the MCU (even so I don't really know the lore, I just really like Wanda, Natasha and Loki), She-Ra, Beastars, Steven Universe ect
So feel free to ask (my art style is average by the way).
Ho! And last important things, I am part of LGBTQ+ and Furry community so I will not tolerate shit

So the server that I play on is having an Easter event for the next 2 weeks and I managed to find this beauty!
I really wanna go steal a bunch of wyvern eggs but too scared cause I know my ass will be burnt 😅
So I finally managed to bite the bullet and get some Wyvern eggs before the event ended on my server and honestly it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be.
I think I was over thinking the whole thing tbh 😅 but I’m super happy with the wyverns I managed to get.
This boi is my absolute favourite out of the bunch plus decent level so can’t complain
I’ll probably get some more eggs in the future since I really want to start breeding these babies. I’m determined I get a pink wyvern! 😝
