BNHA Fantasy AU
Este es el primer dibujo que comparto aquí en tumblr y aunque prefiero dibujar tradicionalmente, decidí subir primero esta imagen que realicé en mi celular (que si no estoy mal es la única que hago digitalmente). No está terminado y sinceramente no sé si alguna vez lo terminaré, porque como mencioné, me gusta mas trabajar de forma tradicional. Estoy bastante contenta con este dibujo aunque no esté terminado.
Todas las chicas de Boku no hero son preciosas y únicas, pero para esta pieza elegí a Tsuyu, Uraraka y a Jirou.
Para dar un poco de contexto, me inspiré en el hula, danza tradicional de Hawai’i, que yo misma practico desde hace varios años (por gusto, no de forma profesional) y que amo mucho. En general mi proceso de pensamiento fue juntar dos cosas que me gustan para hacer algo bonito: Chicas de BNHA + Hula = algo precioso para mi.

This is the fist drawing I share here in tumblr. Usually I prefer tradicional drawing, but I decided to share this piece first since is the only digital drawing I have made ever (I made this one using my cellphone). It’s not finished, and I don’t think I will, but I’m pretty satisfied with it even if it is incomplete.
Just so you know, I love all the girls in Boku no hero, but in this drawing I decided to use Tsuyu, Uraraka and Jirou.
I also want to share that I was inspired by Hula, Hawaiian traditional dace, since I myself practice it (like a hobby, not professionally), so it’s something I love to do. In general, my brain process was to combine to things I like: BNHA girls + Hula = something beautiful to me.
Now is the turn of a rarepair that I think can have an interesting dynamic. These are dedicated to all Katsuyu fans, specially @eriboook, since she is the main reason I began to take a bigger interest in this pair (her art is cute too, so check out her tumblr if you can).

Shouto and his adoptive sisters, part 1
I headcanon that Todoroki is especially protective of Uraraka (e.g. in Movie 1 he intentionally placed himself right in front of her) and Asui, because they remind him of his sister, who is both cheerful and caring, and to whom he couldn’t be close to in the past. Despite being the youngest Todoroki sibling, and the one who received the brunt of their father’s abuse, I think Shouto might still feel partly responsible for the distance between him and his siblings.
It seems like Todoroki joined Deku & co for lunch regularly, right after the back-alley trio returned from Hosu. I headcanon - especially since I've watched their background shenanigans in the BNHA stage plays (the plays are hilarious, go look them up on yt!) - that Uraraka started to uraraka-handle Todoroki around the place, just like she has been doing with Deku and Iida since the start.
And no, their friendship doesn’t consist of Todoroki buying her expensive shit with his father’s credit card. Todoroki was someone who rejected his father’s instructions for years, even though it would have benefitted his hero training greatly (makes 100 % sense from the emotional angle, and 0 % sense from a sheer utilitarian angle). I headcanon that he also refuses to ask his father for money for anything. Fuyumi took care of that, otherwise Todoroki might have just walked around in clothes that he's grown out of, just because he didn't want to ask the old man for anything.
I also don’t think that Uraraka would accept huge amounts of money/monetary gifts from her friends, no matter her own financial circumstances. Even - or rather especially - if she'd thought that Todoroki's spending his father's money on her to piss of the latter. I think Uraraka would have an outlook like, “Don’t do things mainly to oppose someone. Do things for yourself!” which redirects Todoroki’s actions away from his father but turns his focus towards himself.
Uraraka would grab Todoroki and their friends, and they would go to the nearest playground. Each of them teaches Todoroki how to play their favourite (and entirely free of costs) childhood games. The games he wasn’t allowed to play, when he was younger.
He will catch up on them now. Together with his friends.

In my mind, this was canon:
For sure, Uraraka's first impression of Todoroki is of him being an awkward oddball... which I headcanon is one of the reasons why she went out of her way to befriend him.
Shouto and his adoptive sisters, part 2
Would have loved to see an actual team-up between these two: The guy who thought his quirk works best without teammates around him, and the girl known for being one of the most versatile battle comrades you can have.
Asui is the older sister to two younger siblings. I headcanon that she talks to Todoroki like how she talks to them: Encouragingly and patiently, without any condescencion.
They got closer after Asui cried in front of him and the other kids, who sneaked away to Kamino. Todoroki was reeeally sleepy, but he still felt bad about having partly caused her distress, so he tried to talk to her more afterwards.
When the weather turns cold, Todoroki and Asui often end up sitting close to each other: First on the school bus, then anywhere else. Todoroki gets some comfort out of seeing how his fire side, which he had rejected for so long, can be helpful to others even outside of combat - be it to keep Dark Shadow obedient to Tokoyami, or to keep Asui from involuntary hibernation.
Headcanon: Todoroki intentionally chose the spot in front of Asui and Uraraka. He wanted Deku and Iida to join them but before they could, Aoyama and the other girls placed themselves around 1-A's pretty boy.
I saw a fan comic once, in which Asui brought Todoroki a cup of tea and he accidently refers to her as “nee-san”. I headcanon that this has happened more than once. Todoroki’s cheeks turned rosy the first couple of times. Then Asui asked that he call her “Tsu-chan”, and he felt even more embarrassed by that.
As such, Asui remains “Asui” when they are with others. She doesn't correct him, because when she’s alone with Todoroki-chan, she gets to hear “Tsu-nee-san.” Todoroki ends up calling her that nonchalantly. They also ignor that he's actually a month older than her. Considering how he doesn’t use honorifics with any of his other classmates, Asui feels rather special.
Todoroki really does emit youngest child vibes sometimes.
It seems like, barring Deku and Bakugou, most of Todoroki’s classmates didn't know anything about his family drama, until Dabi broadcasted it to the whole nation.
For example, I’m don't think Iida ever picked up on anything prior to Dabi’s dance. He's probably Todoroki’s closest friend (alongside Deku), and he cares a lot. But Iida also tends to be blind to emotional undercurrents. In one of the light novels, he accidentally pisses Todoroki off by telling him off for how he refers to his father. When he visited Todoroki in his room on Troy, he also made a well-meaning but misplaced comparison between their families.
However, a few of them did take notice of Todoroki’s complicated family life, e.g. Kirishima (Todoroki didn't hide much in BNHA's supplementary works). I headcanon that Uraraka and Asui were also among those, who at least picked up on the fact that Todoroki had grown up in a very strict environment. Thus, they tried extra hard to include him in their conversations and activities. This might have contributed to Todoroki warming up to the rest of the class much faster than he might have done otherwise.
The parents of class 1-A, and their favourite kids
Parenting is hard: Trying to keep their stupid impulsive kids from getting themselves killed.
Let's be real, while I can see parents usually loving all of their children equally, most don't like their children equally.
Iida and Yaoyorozu’s mutual favourite child is without question, Asui. She’s the kid who helps out with the other children the most, courtesy of being an older sister within her own family. Iida also listens to Tsu-chan-kun, whenever she tells/signals him smt like: ~Dad, it’s okay. The others aren’t toddlers anymore, they should do/know/learn it by themselves. ~
And Yaoyorozu always worries about her, whenever the weather turns cold - the memory of Asui collapsing in that frozen room during the license exam, remains fresh in her mind.
Parenting is hard: Both are parents, who would be tearing up themselves, when they see one of their kids being in pain.
Iida has another favorite child: Tokoyami-kun.
Class Dad went from telling his goth son off for sitting on, instead of at, the latter's school desk, to being in awe of him, telling him how he's "so wise" (ty, Michael J. Tatum for the awesome line delivery).

Not to mention, Class Dad internally praising Fumikage for being the only one out of his boys, who has proper sleeping manners. The light novels have a few stories in which Iida and Tokoyami are hanging out, and mainly interacting with each other within smaller groups (I think Iida might have been vocal with his praise, when Tokoyami “saved” a little girl from getting lost in the amusement park).
I don’t think there are many kids in 1-A (I can only think of two. Guess who?) who wouldn’t be able to hold some kind of at least semi-enjoyable conversation with any of their classmates, at any given time. However, I wouldn’t have expected Iida and Tokoyami to spent a noticeable amount of their very limited leisure time with each other. I found that dynamic to be a sweet little surprise.
Parenting is hard: ... but Iida definitely enjoys his role to a certain extent.
Yaoyorozu also has another favourite child. Although I picture it more as a favourite younger brother: Kaminari-san.
I might expand on this some other time.
Parenting is hard: The class reps totally deserve a vacation away from their children... but then they wouldn't be able to relax, because they would be away from them.
Sometimes, at the end of a long day, choke-full of classes, hero training, and whatever trouble 1-A members have managed to get themselves into, Yaoyorozu makes a large pot of tea to bring over Iida, who has already spread out markers and sheets of paper over the large table in the dorm's common room.
Class rep positions may not mean much in a lot of places in our real-life world, but UA is not a normal environment. Since moving into the dorms, Iida and Yaoyorozu’s (admittedly, many of them self-imposed) responsibilities have only been increasing.
Thankfully, there is a lot of trust and appreciation for each other between 1-A's co-parents class reps.
Which makes it easy to sit down and work out an elaborate plan of action for illnesses in their home, together.
Because having this many kids in such close living quarters, means being guaranteed an in-house germ factory when flu season inevitably arrives.

Saying their goodbyes: Ochako
“Ochako!”
The girl turned around. “Mom. Dad.”
Her mother had already grabbed onto the strap on Ochako's shoulder to adjust it. "Do you have everything? Have you double-checked the seams of your bagpack? Oh, I knew, we should have gotten you a new one!"
Ochako squeezed her mother's hand. "Mom, I've got everything! My backpack is perfectly fine! I'll be fine! Don't worry."
She risked a glance at her father, hoping for assistance - and promptly regretted her last sentence.
How stupid of her.
Daddy's kind smile was straining around the corner of his lips. His usual eyebags, courtesy from overwork, were even darker than usually.
Ochako looked back at her mother.
Mom's small, calloused hands were knitted together. As were the same fine eyebrows that Ochako had inherited from her.
Ochako felt the familiar waves of guilt and powerlessness lapping at her. How could she say such empty words, like "I'll be fine" and "Don't worry" to her parents? Why couldn't she come up with something better to reassure them?
It used to be easi-
No, scratch that. It never had been easy.
Ochako knew that she had changed a lot since starting at UA. But while she has come to love her class, the time she had spent around them might have made herself more transparent.
She had worried about that a lot, especially since the other girls' have picked up on her feelings for Deku.
Secretly, Ochako sometimes wished that those feelings would be out in the open, so that Deku would address them. Not even to reciprocate them. Just so that she wouldn't have to deal with those emotions all alone for once.
The image of a crying girl with pigtails flitted across her mind.
It was not unlike to how Ochako felt, whenever her parents' issues had seeped through to her...
She pushed those thoughts down.
Her parents have done their best. And in this war, there really wasn't much that they could do. But she herself, might be able to do something.
In that moment, a flash of deep sea green from the corner of her eye, caught her attention.
Despite the two small pair of arms that were slung around Tsuyu-chan's neck, she still found time to raise a questioning eyebrow at her friend.
Ochako nodded and smiled. Then she turned back to her parents. She gave her mother's palm another squeeze, and took one of her father's into her other hand.
"It's gonna be alright. I can do it. We can do it."
