βHm, i wonder where she could've gone to? Berrien, do you know?
Ah, yes. There had been a new noble that the butlers talked to you about, of course, you were overjoyed as they had another friend besides you and you'd encourage them to speak to the noble more, after all more connections, the more protection from rumors, right?
The noble wanted to meet you, so you had obliged, it was a fun meetup because who knew that she was such an awesome person to talk to!
However, after the meeting between the two of you, the butlers began to notice changes in their new friend, they started acting like their precious master, you.
Oh, but that didn't stop there, sometimes they would even wear the same accessories as you, the same accessories that Flure made for you and it was fairly clear to everyone (except you) that she pressured you into giving it to her.
Instead of taking the hand that showed her kindness, she had slapped it away and that was unforgiveable to them.
And so they decided to teach her about copying.
Suddenly malicious rumors started to spread about your friend, of course, you were outraged, how could someone do this to someone as kind and caring as her?
You wanted to defend her but, "Master!" A familiar voice shouted, you turned to feel Lamli hugging you from behind, nuzzling into your waist, "Lamli, what is it? Do you need something?" You asked, he just hugged you tighter.
Feeling that you weren't going to escape his grasp anytime soon, you sighed, "Master! Let's go to the garden! Ammon and I, have prepared a special surprise for you~!" He said as you pushed you towards the door to the garden, you tried protesting but it fell on deaf ears.
Even Nac who usually scolds Lamli for being informal with you, didn't even scold him once, and when you talked to Lucas about Lamli, he'll usually brush if off or come up with an excuse.
The malicious rumors still continued to weave as if it were the gospel truth, the absurdity of it all confused you by a lot.
As you were thinking, you felt a tap on your shoulder to see Lono along with Bastien, "What is it? Lono? Bastien?" You asked with a smile.
"Well then, Master, you said you were starting to crave pies, right?" Lono reiterated, you nodded then Bastien put a slice of apple pie with whipped cream on top, in front of you.
You looked at it in surprised and glee, "Thank you, Lono and Bastien." You thanked them, as you dug your fork into the pie, you felt a burst of sweetness in your tongue as you put a thumbs up.
"Hahaha! Of course!" Lono hollered, making Bastien irritated, "Don't take the credit for yourself, i was the one who peeled the apples.." Bastien muttered, in which an arguement ensued as you finished your pie.
You all heard footsteps to reveal Berrien, you looked at him for help, "Now, now, you two, don't fight, you both put in the effort to make master happy." The two seemed to calm down at his explanation.
"Oh! Could i borrow the master for a while?" He asked, the two nodded as he led you away.
So now the two of you were now in the master's bedroom, it was comfortable silence for the both of you, the aroma of Darjeeling tea filling up the room.
"Hey Berrien, do you know why she had false rumors spread about her?" You asked, if there was someone who knew about rumors, it would Berrien.
Berrien looked uncomfortable but he opened his mouth, "Master.. those rumors don't spawn out of nowhere, it came from new evidence coming out.." your eyes immediatly shot up as you looked at him, urging him to continue.
"Apparently, an investigation was launched into her recently and they found forged documents and they also found some missing items from nobles, into her family's cellar and now many are suspecting her family to be involved as well." He sighed and looked 'dissapointed', while you just sat there in your chair trying to ingest the new information.
Berrien placed the teacup gently onto your table, "Master, i do hope that this tea can help you calm down." He said sofly, you took the teacup still a bit shaken.
You took a big sip, only to feel sleepy? You looked at Berrien, he looked 'concerned', as he caught you before your head fell down on the table.
He merely chuckled as he carried you to your bed before gently tucking you in, before kissing your forehead.
"Sweet dreams, Master~"
He walked out of your room, only to see Muu walking towards your room.
"Muu, when you enter the masters room, please try to remain quiet as possible, they are currently sleeping right now." Muu nodded as he opened the door, to let Muu in.
After Muu had walked in, he walked up to Lucas' clinic to have a chat about the final lesson.
The next day, the noblewoman was silenced for having crucial information.

i was reading the recipe suggestions on some of the cans of mackerel i have in my cupboard, and I've noticed that on all of the recipe suggestions for pasta, seafood, anything really say "try this for a low-calorie, low carb, low fat, low sugar dinner". you. need those things when it comes to be mealtime. calories are a measure of how much "energy" you can burn, not how much weight you will gain from eating the food. carbohydrates get broken down into starches, sugars, and fibers, which are all necessary for you to function.
your brain & body operate primarily off of fats, sugars, and proteins, but i've noticed that protein is the only thing we push as absolutely necessary, which just isn't true. whenever you idle and not in motion, your body has nothing to do with the extra protein you're bringing in. it will be stored as extra fat if you do not give that protein a reason to build muscle tissue instead.
your brain consumes 20% or more of the sugar you take into your body- our brains NEED glucose, you literally need sugar to think. if you feel depressed and like you're sluggish reacting to things, thinking, remembering things, and other mental processes, if you are the kind of person who refuses to eat any sugar at all due to wanting to be skinny, you are doing your brain a huge disservice:
i can't stand the hatred towards dietary fats, because it's causing so many people to be outright miserable or even sick. you need fats to function. they are an excellent source of energy and are literally required for you to be able to move, think, and combat disease. they are not this icky thing that you need to avoid at all costs. fats are extremely important for brain development, as well as brain function, and even immune system function:
also for many people, 2,000 calories or less per day is nowhere near enough. your brain actively consumes calories, fats and sugars while you are awake, no matter what you are doing:
i sincerely refuse to believe that if JUST YOUR BRAIN ALONE consumes somewhere in the ballpark of 400-500 calories just for being awake and active that we can only survive off of 2,000 calories a day. capitalism, diet culture and fat shaming forcing us to starve ourselves of vital nutrients so we are weak and too tired to fight back against the bullshit we face every day. food is important.
food isn't just to satiate the feeling of an empty stomach. it is the ONLY way you get vital fuel in order to keep moving, living, thinking, and breathing. vitamins and minerals are NOT the only vital aspects of food. you're not meant to restrict how many nutrients you get at FUCKING MEAL TIMES. YOU NEED FUEL. PLEASE FUEL YOUR BODY AND BRAIN. A CONVENTIONALLY ATTRACTIVE BODY ISN'T WORTH SUFFERING AND LIVING YOUR WORST LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chapter 25
Orcelito receives word of the Great Plague from Kiliko, a plague that wiped out over 30% of the kingdom the last time it appeared. Oh and it turns out Eco is Lord Lagen's real son, you know, stuffed into a conversation about what went on. Kiliko, lying bitch that he be, has told Orcelito that Eco was responsible for Belca being taken away which has led Orcelito to not be a big fan of the black sheep. However, when the elders saw Belca protect Orcelito during the ceremony, it caused an upturn in his popularity in the court. Since Belca is gone again, Kiliko hopes those good impressions will fade away. I mean, no one actually wants him to be king, do they?
Orcelito and Kiliko walk out to see one of the elders, Lord Taine, to give him a pardon for what he pulled in his territory a few days ago.
But screw that, back to Belca and the Hokulea. Eco wants to come to see the High Priestess but he gets turned down despite him just wanting to learn about the Rovisco Records, having even studied the Hokulea written language just for that goal. Belca says no because the journey is too dangerous telling him to wait in a town for him until he returns. Eco says he's mean. Belca says he doesn't care. Then Saisei, the Hokulea child from the cave, calls Belca over to apologize, holding himself responsible for Linna's death. Belca mentally acknowledges that yeah, it's true that if they hadn't come, Linna would still be alive...but they wouldn't have come at all if it wasn't for how badly they were fucked over by rewritten history so he tells Saisei to not worry about it.
Then a squirrel drops on Belca's head. Wouldn't be strange if it wasn't for the fact that the particular species is alien to this specific area so it shouldn't be here. That's when Eco points out the animal is probably a scout; there are Azelprade guards nearby.
Back at Neue Favrille, Musca is still sneaking around while remembering that Seamrog told her he can't come back with her to the castle despite being her knight because if he were to return, he would have his head chopped off. He'll have to support her from behind the scenes...and Musca will have to be a cool mercenary girl!
So as a cool mercenary girl, she runs around in the castle looking for the corpse of somebody.
Meanwhile, guards are indeed looking for Belca with the Hokulea hiding from them. Naturally, it's around this time that the Hokulea figure out that Eco is the weird guy that led them into a trap for the purpose of saving Belca. Eco defends himself by saying that he was threatened into taking them to the palace and he kept details to himself because be honest, would you tell the people who are there to kill the royal family that one of the members of that family was a friend of yours? The Hokulea go "fair enough" and prepare to split into three different directions, Shingetsu letting Eco come along for whatever reason as the chapter ends.
I have this horrible brainrot over Something Wicked and Cancerous Rodent being friends. Someone here mentioned it once I forgot who but thank you SO much I cry every time I think about themβ¦β¦β¦β¦.<3333
