How would Ruby and Oscar's wedding look like in babey overlords au?

Sorry about the wait! I was busy with art and irl stuff but I am here now, faithful anon!

Ruby and Oscar’s wedding would be very them. But, to be honest, probably has a scrapbook full of wedding ideas for the two, right down to the doilies. But Ruby and Oscar have enough control to pick out what they want. In the lead-up to the wedding, the two are just so full and it’s hard to separate the two. The two would be young though, getting married, just barely adults but they’ve made the promise to be together forever so why the hell not. 

The thing they’d have the most trouble with would be where to have the wedding, whether if it’s at the castle or in Patch or in the ruins of Beacon to taunt Salem or on Oscar’s old farm. In the end, they choose to have the wedding where they first met, looking over the cliff, celebrating both life and death with it being the place where Summer died but the place of their marital vows. 

They’d have an altar with a canopy made out stick, bone and pine trees. It’d be a small gathering, with the few conscious allies there (e.g. Pyrrha, Jaune, Yang) and family. Pictures of Summer and Oscar’s parent would be placed on chairs on the front row. The day isn’t perfect, with dark clouds cast overhead setting the occasion in a slightly sinister light, but Ruby and Oscar couldn’t care less. Candle light would line the walk up to the altar and the wedding dinner table. 

Ruby would wear a dress of red and white, being her bouquet are blue flowers, while Oscar dons his usual black and green. 

The thing is ... Taiyang doesn’t walk Ruby down the aisle. He’ll sit in the pew, but the man is so tired he doesn’t have it in him to even walk his little girl down the aisle. It make Yang incredibly frustrated with her ‘weak’ father. Yang takes his place, and in her mind, she deserves to because in reality she’s the one who’s been more of a parent rather than some husk. Oscar tears up at the sight of Ruby walking down the aisle, because has there been a woman more beautiful???

Oscar’s vows are long. The boy f r e a k e d  o u t writing them, not knowing what to say so he said everything. E v e r y t h i n g. Everybody, except Ruby, wanted it to end at the ten minute mark. Ruby was moved to tears and had to have a minute to compose herself. Ruby’s vows are short and sweet, meaning every word, which is a relief for the guests because they couldn’t sit through another 30 minute long speech again. 

But I can’t get the idea that somebody tries to betray Ruby and Oscar during this occasion, either Pyrrha and Jaune or Weiss or somebody in their group of allies, and blood spills on the altar, a body laying dead at their feet, before they move on, grinning brightly. 

The wedding reception is an intimate experience with Ruby and Oscar slow-dancing to the same Mistrali song his parents danced to at their wedding, on a patch of grass in the early night, their figures illuminated by the glowing candlelight. 

Yang is bawling through her Best Woman speech, in absolute tears, and threatens Oscar with bodily harm if he ever hurts Ruby. Meanwhile, Sun’s speech is bright and well-meaning, wishing nothing but the best for the two. 

The two would have their honeymoon in the ruins of Vale, walking amongst the affected and doing whatever they want. It didn’t matter if the streets sounded a little quiet or their subjects were nothing more than mindless puppets. 

It’s their happily ever ever. 

What's Zwei like in the Babey overlords AU?

A good boi. But working for the bad guys. 

Zwei takes a departure from canon, slightly. He’s really Ruby and Oscar’s dog. He has the ability to transport the bad guys around Remnant, which they don’t have to deal with having a travel arc when they have to get somewhere. They’re a limit to his abilities, being only able to travel to set up points in Remnant (like safehouses, landmarks, and such) or to people he has a connection with (so far this is Ruby, Oscar, Yang, Auntie Em and Zwei) Zwei is charge of transporting the babeys’ court around the world and delivering messages when scrolls and seer grimm don’t suffice. For his brave and admirable work, he is paid in hugs, snugs, treats and headpats. And also fetch.

(I’m half-tempted to give Zwei the ability to travel between dimensions so he can travel to the RWBY canon dimension)

Zwei, despite his small size, is the alpha to all grimm. All grimm. They all need to listen to Big Bro Zwei or else they gonna get chewed out for being disobedient. 

Zwei looks the same as he does in canon, but he has red eyes. He spends most of his time on Oscar’s lap or playing around with the other grimm (like Wilbur and Bumblebee)  if he not’s working for his masters. 

How would ruby and oscar be treated by the other members in babey overlords au?

Sorry it took me so long to get to your ask. Moving on ... For now, the main court of Ruby and Oscar will be considered Glynda, Sun, Yang, Blake, Weiss, and the retainers, Jaune and Pyrrha. And then there’s Taiyang and Auntie Em who live on the Farm, tending to grimm. 

Glynda:

Glynda is a carry-over from the host before Oscar, Ozpin. She is mainly the advisor, who lives on the castle with Ruby and Oscar and encourages their acts of evil and violence. She treats the two quite formally, never over-stepping her bounds. The new dynamic with the overlords threw her off-balance for a while as well, suddenly her lord was a prince, with a princess he planned to rule the world with, and they were so young???? Merely children when she met them. But she’s grown proud of the growth in not only her overlords have shown over the years, but all the young souls that have crossed through the darkened halls of the Dark Domain. She guides them respectfully and is a valuable asset in plotting and scheming, and is fully willing to die for them. 

Yang:

Ruby is easily explained. Thanks to all adult figures clocking out when she was young, Yang has grown not only protective of Ruby, but possessive. She didn’t appreciate Oscar, thinking she’d take all the only person that stayed with her.  But she can roll with the newfound bat-shit craziness and hyper-violence of her new situation. Only the strong survived, and she and Ruby (along with her new beau) would be the strongest of all, crushing any and all opposition by ripping off their heads from their shoulders. She learned to eventually let Oscar in, accepting him as her psuedo-brother-in-law. Still, Yang would never forgive him if he ever hurt Ruby. She acts rather sisterly/motherly to Ruby while acting like a brash devil-may-care cowgirl to Oscar. 

Sun:

Sun is a wild card. He’s in it for the murder. And the evil. And his cool new friends. He thinks Ruby and Oscar are bees knees.  Well, good as you can get when you have their bodies lying at your feet and your gun chucks wet with their blood. Sun treats Ruby and Oscar like best friends, inviting them to play Smash Bros, happy to spar with them, sneaking food under the desk during Glynda’s lessons, and brings the heads of their enemies as souvenirs for his out-of-castle missions. 

Blake:

Doesn’t like them. But she has to work with them because oh shit they’re dangerous. She treats Oscar n Ruby and the rest of their court as “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer”. She always holds the interest of faunus to the forefront first and foremost and then going along with whatever insane plan Ruby and Oscar have second. She teeters on the edge of civility into hostility. She’s passive aggressive and begrudgingly obedient. 

Weiss:

Same as Blake. But instead of caring for faunus brethen, it’s the SDC she cares for. While Weiss treats Ruby and Oscar more frigidly and makes jabs at their aesthetics and interior decorating. 

Jaune:

Jaune is down for a little mayhem and chaos but  Ruby and Oscar are ... extreme. But he has to go along with it for his family. If Jaune curries enough good favour, he and his family might be allowed to survive whatever apocalypse or hell or ‘happily ever after’ they have planned for Remnant. He acts friendly enough to the lords. He’s horrified in truth by Ruby and Oscar but he’ll swallow the bile in his throat and smile if it means survival. 

Pyrrha:

Pyrrha isn’t Oscar’s biggest fan. He scares her. But Ruby? Ruby is a completely different story. Ruby is her light, her sun, her angel. If it weren’t for her Pyrrha would still be in the arena, fighting for grimm and others for the pleasures of vain viewers that saw her as entertainment. But then Ruby pulled her out of that darkness and gave Pyrrha a home so warm and loving she cried. It is a debt that Pyrrha can never repay but she finds herself struggling to pay it back, as the horror of what Ruby and Oscar really are settle in ...

Auntie Em:

Auntie Em is horrified by both Ruby and Oscar. These two young children capable of such evil ... And she can’t leave or oppose them on fear for her life ... So she stays, tending to the grimm that suddenly bedgrudingly obey her thanks to Oscar’s authority, tending to the gardens and farm. But the weight of their crimes bear so heavily on her mind, she doesn’t think she can cross into the afterlife in shame of having to tell his parents the monster their son had become. Auntie Em doesn’t talk much to the kids and keeps a wall in between them, cutting off all love and familiarity.

Taiyang:

He just ...

It’s just ...

It’s ...

Tired ... So Tired ... And it’s too much ... Summer, he’s sorry, he’s so sorry, he can’t do it ... He can’t tell their girls to stop. They don’t listen to him anymore. And so many things bear down on his mind, you can’t blame him if he just retreats into his head ... keeping their girls and everybody at a distance ...

Can you write the meeting between canon rosegarden and babey overlords au?

“You had freckles?!?!?!?!?!” 

Oscar yelped as the Other Ruby surged at him, climbing onto his lap on the couch where he sat. Soft hands cupped his face, guiding his face up to peer at an excited face, a rose fully bloomed where on an eye should be and a single orb of silver intensely fixed on him. 

The Other Ruby turned, looking to the Other Oscar some feet away where he was standing before Ruby. The two were slightly older than their counterparts, leaving the Other Oscar to stand a few inches taller than Ruby. 

The Other Oscar had been leaning forwards to Ruby, holding her hand delicately and placing a chaste kiss on her knuckles. Ruby was too flustered at the brazen display to affection to do anything, stuttering and stammering while her cheeks were aflame. 

“I supposed you would have found freckles much cuter than what I have,” the Other Oscar said mournfully, but the air of amusement around made Oscar think his grief was somewhat false. The veins under his eyes, black and spidery, like Salem’s, were too hard not to notice. His hair was white, still floofing out, but he wear a black and green leather suit, with an excessive amount of belts (to which Oscar suspected he was wearing a shirt made of belts), and seemed to be pulling the shadows towards him. Ozpin roused inside him, on edge and agitated at the sight of the Other Oscar. Oscar could feel his fingertips crackle with magic coming in from Ozpin’s influx of emotions and took a deep breath to cool the simmering hostility. 

“What?! No!” The Other Ruby jumped off Oscar, hurling towards his Other in flurry of rose petals. When her figure was visible again, she was clinging to Oscar like a demented koala, legs wrapped around his waist and arms looped behind his neck. “You’re so cute! The absolutest cutest! I wouldn’t choose anyone else to rule the world with, Cookie!”

“Awww, Ruberry ...” 

The Other Ruby and Other Oscar kissed, mouths fitting together perfectly ... and kept kissing. Soon the longue room was filled with little moans and the wet sound of lips connecting. 

Ruby connected eyes with Oscar and then the two looked away quickly, too embarrassed to face the other. Oscar thought he could carry on with his school boy crush in secret but apparently his and Ruby’s eviler counterparts were so smitten with each other, they could barely the overwhelming affection they had.

“Ummm ...” Ruby called out hesitantly. “Could you not?”

“What?” The Other Oscar said, before a devious smirk graced his lips. “Do you want a kiss as well?”

Ruby panicked. “I!!! Ahh! Um! No! Yes! Wait!” 

“I can share,” the Other Ruby chirped.

Ruby had been robbed of the ability to speak after that, rendered to a hot blushing mess as the two Overlords teased her. 

Oscar sighed, leaning forwards, resting his hands on his thighs and his head on his hands. 

Oscar, Ozpin asked, holding back his clear agitation. What. happened?

Are the Grimm basically the same in the Babey AU or do they look different/have different sources?

Instead of red, they’re green here to suit Oscar’s aesthetics. I’ve always found green to be such a compelling colour for dark and evil characters and i love how in this AU I can have that. 

Green.

Evil.

Deadly.

Green.

When would oscar realize he loves ruby in babey overlords au?

... Pretty quickly and pretty young.

After Ruby helps him find the Oz cane (and Ozpin is taken care of), Ruby and Oscar start a partnership to take over the world. But as time passes by and they are on the cusp of adolescene, Oscar is head over heels for Ruby and she is him.  And then there’s Yang in the background, screaming “JUST KISS ALREADY!”

What's aunty ems reaction to meeting ruby in babey overlords au and how will she react with the happily ever after virus?

Auntie Em, seeing Ruby at first: Oh, she’s cute. But she’s so young. I’m really about all these kids getting mixed up in this world domination business. 

Auntie Em, after a few months: Dear gods, all these kids have lost the plot. Where’s the responsible adult?! Wait, I’m the adult ... And they don’t listen to me ...

So who was the one who confessed IN THE baby overlords AU Ruby or Oscar

The horizon spread out from the observation deck. Nothing but ominous green fog, the pale, broken moon in the sky and the silhouette of the giant Walkers trekking across the distance. At least the stars shone in the sky, breaking through the dark of night with their bright light. 

Ruby and Oscar sat on the picnic blanket spread out on the cold stone floor, cushions placed on the ground beneath them. A basket with their nights’ dinner, club sandwiches and soup already eaten. Their only source of light was the dimly lit oil lamp and the light of the stars above them. Their dog, Zwei, sleeping contently on one of the cushion, small content whines leaving him from time to time. Ruby couldn’t help but reach out, gingerly stroking his fur. 

Ruby snuggled closer to Oscar in an effort to stave off the freezing night air. Ruby thought that with all the changes done to his body, the darkening of his pupils, skin growing paler and the spidery veins increasing and the colour draining from his hair, he would have been colder, like the romantic vampires she read about in her books. 

But no. Oscar was warm. 

He was always kind. Always loving. Always dreaming. 

Ruby felt a little ashamed she wasn’t making sure of an effort to listen to the words he was saying, something about the stars way back when humanity first walked the earth. 

“--countries one of my former selves conquered found that they navigated the land using the stars,” Oscar was said.

“He did?”

“Yeah, if I’m right, the country was what Mistral used to be.”

“Oh.”

Oscar made a sudden move, and then threw his arm around Ruby. He used his free hand to point up at the night sky. “Look! There it is!”

Streaking across the dark night sky, amongst the ocean of stars, was a brilliant flare of light. A heavenly body that stole the breath from Ruby’s body. It sparkled through colours, red, blue, green, pink, blue ---

It only happened once every thousand’s years Oscar had told her. The Knight’s Blessing. A comet that graced the night sky, blazing colours. Oscar has practically begged for Ruby to watch it with him, ‘asking’ in front of a table spread out with ancient texts about the comet, voice vibrating with excitement.

And how could Ruby ever say no to that?

Even Zwei roused, with a soft bark, and howled up to the sky. The sound was joined by Bumblebee’s chainsaw roaring. Ruby knew her sister was watching, most likely tipsy, on the roof and reclining on her dragon. And Jaune and Pyrrha were probably watching from one of the towers in the castle, with Glynda. She didn’t know where Sun was but she hoped he was with good company, taking in the sight. 

Ruby looked to Oscar, and was shocked to see the droplets of black running down his cheeks. 

“Oscar?”

“I--It’s not me,” Oscar murmured. “I’m not the one crying. It’s Ozma. He watched this with her.”

Ruby’s lips parted in surprise and gave Oscar a side hug, hoping that it comforted him. Oscar leaned into her, resting his head on hers. 

They stayed quiet for a moment, gazing out to the night sky. Eventually, his tears stopped. The comet had faded from sight, continuing on with its journey. It was just them, the empty sound of the castle and the soft snores from Zwei. 

Ruby shifted her head, wanting to look at Oscar, but the boy had done the same. They both peered at the other, faces illuminated by the orange glow of the oil lamp. Ruby reached up, gently stroking away the soot marks left on Oscar’s cheeks by his tears. Oscar’s hand went out to Ruby, tenderly cradling her cheek.  

It didn’t matter who made the first move. What mattered was the connection made between them when their lips connected. 

A warm feeling grew in Ruby’s chest, fire works going off in her head. It was perfect. So perfect she could cry.

“I ...” Ruby said once they were apart. “I love you ...”

Oscar’s lips grew in a soft smile. “I love you too ...”

Their lips met once more, kissing under the peaceful night sky, hands gently clasped around the other. 

In babey overlords au what would jaune and runt interaction go? (Sorry bout my english :)

Don’t worry about your English. It’s totally fine! But I’m afraid I don’t know who Runt is. But Babey Overlords Jaune is usually friendly to people he meets so I’m sure he’d get along with Runt. 

How does it ultimately end for the pair in the Babey overlord AU?

Badly. 

For, it is the structure of such a story like RWBY, to end with the good guys winning, and misguided and twisted as they are, Ruby are not good people and they have done horrible things. 

The final stage is at Ruby and Oscar’s castle, at their domain of darkness and grimm. Ruby is the first to go, the strategic move of getting rid of the queen from the chessboard, before surrounding the king. The only mercy Oscar gets is that, at least, he doesn’t have to live long without Ruby at his side. 

At least in the afterlife, they’re together. 

I want to know how Ruby lost here eye and how Oscar reacted when in happened :)

Cinder. It’s all Cinder’s fault. 

It’s Volume 3 of RWBY, after Ruby watches Pyrrha die and unintentionally mains Cinder. Except, Cinder and Ruby have more of a showdown here, actually locked in combat, while Oscar deals with Salem. 

Oscar wins his fight with Salem, crystallising her since she can’t be killed and it’s better to have the witch out of the way. But when he goes back to assist Ruby, his lover is injured, lying against a fallen wall, blood streaming on one side of her head and burned.

Oscar rushes to her side at once, fretting and cradling her. 

And then Oscar gets angry, but before that he tells Jaune and Pyrrha to take Ruby back to the castle with Zwei. 

And then he turns into a dragon. 

Does whitley have a part in babey overlords au?

Yup!

Specialist Whitley Schnee is one of General Robyn Hill’s top agents. He joined the military in an effort to get away from the increasing toxicity of his home life after Weiss took over the SDC after the death of their father. Whitley rose through the ranks thanks to his strategic thinking, determination and steadily growing control over his family’s semblance, and became a specialist at 18, the youngest to do in Atlesian history. 

After aiding in evacuation and rescue at The Fall of Beacon, he currently works with Penny Polendina, the cold-mannered ‘Protector of Mantle’ to keep the city safe from Grimm and aid in mining rescue operation when the need arises. 

How does Ruby and Oscar interact after Cinder made ruby lose her eye? How would you describe jaune and ruby relationship in babey overlords au and lastly how did they meet (Jaune and Ruby)

I apologise for the amount of time this took. Thank you for being so patient. 

After the Fall of Beacon, Ruby, despite sending Vale into chaos, feels like a failure for not obtaining the Fall Maiden powers and getting so grievously harmed by Cinder that Oscar had to step in. She pushes herself hard during rehabilitation but Oscar wishes Ruby wouldn’t be so hard on herself and pampers Ruby, despite the girl feeling like she doesn’t deserve it. Oscar is fond of kissing the scar that’s there until he plants the rose in her eye. Sometimes, Oscar is so tender, it makes Ruby cry because then she feels even worse about successfully completing the mission. 

Ruby thinks Jaune is a great and useful person to work with ... but Jaune doesn’t necessarily think the same. Ruby is rather ... extreme, and while Jaune may joke around and smile at the girl, he knows the moment he tripped up, that he betrayed her, it’d be off with his head. It’s a relationship that runs on fake smiles and fear underlying it all. 

Jaune met Ruby through his family. The Arcs are a notorious crime family, with links all over Remnant. However, the Arcs have long known of Ozpin and have had a working relationship with him, his hosts and his forces. It’s either that or death. Jaune was sent to work with Ruby to ensure the survival of their family in the future and protection from Ozpin’s dark magic should it ever be turned towards them. 

I have been going through your Babey Overlords AU and I have to ask about Ren and Nora, I know you gave an explanation on their costumes, but I was wondering what their relationship would be like? I've gathered that their married, but how do they interact with one another? How did Ren handle losing his wife? What do the others think of them, as individuals and together?

Ren and Nora’s relationship is not unlike Ruby and Oscar’s relationship - bad guys in love with each other. I call them the OG babey overlords bc they’re around their early thirties. However, the loss of his parents and the destruction of his village stunted Ren horribly in terms of emotional development and he’s more than a little dependent on Nora, relying on her to make decisions for the both of them. It makes losing her all the more painful for himself. 

Ren and Nora have two modes: lethal crimes lords and domestic disasters. Lethal crime lords is when they cause mayhem for whatever region they’re in. Domestic disasters is what it says on the tin -- they’re bad at being ‘normal’. They spent more doing crime than functioning as members of society. 

These two ... actually have kids. Twins, in fact. However, their lives aren’t the safest things for raising two kids and full time normality was never for them. And so the kids were given away to be adopted into a loving family. Nora and Ren pay ‘child support’ to make sure their kids are looked after. Not to mention, the kids love the babysitters that come to look after them from time to time ... even if they don’t know that their babysitters are their births parents. 

After getting the kids + adoptive parents out of Vale and somehow comfy in Mistral, Ren was in a really bad way. He was depressed, he was angry and he wanted blood. And none of this would have been happening if it wasn’t for the people that caused Nora’s death -- Ruby Rose, her king and Cinder Fall. For now, he has a tentative truce with Ruby in exchange for killing Cinder, all the while he figures out a way to get rid of the Babey Overlords. 

Ren isn’t exactly sure what he’ll do once he’s taken his revenge.

He never thought he’d have to live in a world without Nora. 

Ruby thinks they’re a delight! ... However she does feel guilty about Nora’s death. But you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. Oscar thinks they’re useful, but he isn’t trusting of them. Blake isn’t a fan and can’t wait to get rid of them. Yang thinks they’re fun to hang out with but she isn’t too fazed by Nora’s death. Not to mention, she takes sadistic pleasure in how Ren suffers afterwards. Cinder + Co don’t really have any interactions with BO!ReNora outside of confrontations, and thinks they’re threats. Cinder, however, struggles with her ‘first kill’ and has nightmares about it. 

So, I was looking through your Babey Overlords AU art. and was curious what role Winter has taken? P.S. Also wanted to know what happens to Penny and Whitley during the AU.

Winter takes the place of Whitley in canon. She is completely and utterly devoted to Weiss and her well-being, and, unfortunately, Weiss’ enabler when it comes to the ‘Queen’ of the SDC’s more harmful behaviour, remaining quiet and docile. She acts as Weiss’ secretary, handling any and all business matters. Weiss’ new ‘business associates’ worry her, though.

Whitley and Penny are partners. General Robyn Hill assigns Whitley to Penny to ensure Doctor Polendina’s newest weapon serves its purpose as ‘Protector of Atlas’. However, Whitley quickly notices ‘glitches’ in the android’s program, when it stares at something like a flower or a brightly coloured object for too long, or it asks an unnecessary enquiry that seems almost frivolous. 

It doesn’t take too long for Whitley to notice that ‘it’ seems to be developing a consciousness. And Whitley can’t help but indulge her -- Penny, the girl. 

The android designated as Penny Polendina is caught between purpose and ‘distraction’. It has a purpose, it doesn’t need to hyper analyse a simple daisy, it doesn’t need new dresses, it doesn’t need the gifts that Specialist Schnee gives, and it ... It can’t be developing feelings ... right?

More than that, Penny begins to question the way things are. Why is Atlas undermining Mantle, an invaluable resource? Is this truly the way things should be run in Atlas? If Penny is the ‘Protector of Mantle’, why are most of her missions serve only the interests of Atlas?

Whitley, however, has to convince himself that General Hill is right in all she does. The woman who did so much, let the military serve as his second family, was surely justified in everything she did. She had to be. 

Whitley buys time for Penny as the powers of the Winter Maiden are transferred over to her, and pays dearly for it, for when Penny steps out of the pod, Whitley is on his knees, bleeding heavily and his sword broken in two. After Ruby is ‘temporarily’ defeated, they both knew how Penny’s newfound would be used for the selfishness of Atlas. With Whitley too gravely injured for Penny to carry away without him dying through the escape, he stayed behind to buy her time as she ran away with Cinder’s crew. 

Maybe one day, when Penny knows she is as a person, when Whitley knows what path he should take, they’ll meet again one day.

Everybody else is either a weird amalgamation of roles (like how Mercury is Pyrrha but Emerald is the one the gets de@ded) or stays the same (Vernal is still with the bandits, just following Qrow's lead)

So I’m guessing Watts is till evil and helps Weiss? Or is Weiss’ role combined with his?

Weiss is definitely evil but ... I can't remember what I wrote for Watts. It's been so long since I touched this AU i cant remember his role. but thanks so much for messaging me!
