@thepromiscuousfinger My mom and brother stopped by an old man’s roadside honey stand, and about a week later my brother was suited up and helping the old man harvest honey and extract it in this giant spinning centrifugal machine.
Beekeeping has been around for at least 4,500 years now!! Isn’t that cool??

Just finished the new stand for our hive with room for another! Going to take advantage of the warm weather this week to give our girls a lift. #beehivestand #beekeeping

So far, so good! Our girls only have a few more weeks until we are in the clear. Then we will have honey to harvest! We may add one or two more hives this spring, we'll see what we can catch!

One hive is now two! Relying on natural queen cells to keep the split. Already capped and should emerge within a few days! Still may get a swarm out of the left hive; I couldn't find the queen or all of the swarm cells. :( #beekeeping #CurvaceousBees
