Last night I went to a Chinese restaurant for a cast party and my friend got a fortune cookie that said: “Believe it. Water and oil never is mix.”
Like, just, believe it.
It’s sad to think about. If you are female and nice to a guy just being friendly and open people around you automatically assume that you “flirt” that you a female want something from a male if you are decent and normal to them. I have many female friends which I interact with naturally and no one bats an eyelash but as soon as it turns out to be a guy people start making commends and won’t lay off. That can make you and your friend uncomfortable. Don’t force something onto people that is not there. It is not funny or nice it can literally destroy a friendship.
The number of times I have been delighted by witty banter only to find out later that I was “Flirting” is both unfortunate and disappointing.
