Today is a pretty big day for me - I am officially 5 years sober. I've talked openly about my sobriety on here because I think it's incredibly important, especially since we live in a society that pushes drinking as an important thing and then condemns alcoholics/people with alcohol dependencies.
I dont look down on people who do drink. I am now comfortable in my sobriety and skin to be able to be around people who are drinking. I am happy to answer questions and to look back on my relationship with alcohol.
I dont know if this post has a purpose (or if it needs one) except to say I am proud of me.

as the colder months approach: i wish you all a healthy, calm end of the year. i wish you tasty cups of tea, comfortable clothes, warm beds, nutritious meals in safe homes, good music, new friends and unwavering health. you deserve good things now.

Hello, my love. I have a feeling you don’t feel safe where you are, and maybe you are not able to leave. First of all, I am so sorry, no one should ever be forced into a place where they are unsafe. Second, I am very proud of you! Are your parents not around/not supportive/not what you need/etc.? That is so unfair to you. But, they are not the only family for you. The moon was placed so you could see her, and she could be your mother, the sun is there to hug you, the stars are there to listen, and I am here to be your sibling. You are not alone, love. You were never alone.
