Was it just me who saw similarities between these two

Doesn't really matter for reasons

Do we know if we can undress Link like in botw? In botw the boxers he had were generated by the sheika slate (I think), so I don't think he wears the same ones in totk, please Nintendo, I want to thirst for him again (I think there was a scene in the trailer where he was shirtless, when fighting the stone talus with a weird thing he created with master hand, but we don't know what underwear he will be using if unequipping pants is an option) my gues is that he has either normal boxers or the hand creates something similar to the sheika slate ones

So we can fuse things now, and something they said to us is to not underestimate shield fusions, so a few ideas I had:

With a shield and an elemental chu chu/ore when it gets hit, the shield releases the elemental power of the mineral, so if you use a sapphire on a shield, when an enemy attacks you, it releases an ice explosion that freezes the nearby enemies

With a shield and an enemy part (like moblin guts) you can get the same effects you have when wearing a mask of said enemy, but only when the shield is up, this only works with the enemies who already can have this effect in botw using the masks

With a shield and a bat eye, the shield gives you more time to parry an attack, both before and after

With two shields, the defense either doubles or the shields stick each on the side of the other one and they cover a larger area when used

With a glowing material and a shield, you can use it as a torch, meaning that it does more light than the actual material, but the area of the light varies depending of what material you are using (a star fragment would be the most luminous)

With an ore that isn't an elemental one, the shield has more defense, depending on the ore it gets stronger and more resistant (a diamond would make it near to the hylian shield in terms of resistance), while flint would make the enemy catch on fire (and the shield too if it's a wooden one)

With a bat wing and a shield, the shield gets better at surfing, and if you use an elemental bat wing, its attack during surfing is of the said element

If there is a malice corrupted monster part in this game, fusing it with the shield gives the same effect as the majora's mask

If there are spikes, parrying with a shield that is fused with them causes more damage to the enemy

With a shield and a magic staff, parrying with the shield emanates the same element as the magic staffs

With a korok leaf and a shield, parrying emanates wind just like the korok leaf, it also could shake like the korok mask when a korok is nearby, but it would be less noticeable

With a torch and a shield, litting it on fire lights the surrounding area, permitting the player to use both a torch and a weapon at the same time

So there are flame throwers in totk, what if there are also their counterparts for each element? Like an ice thrower and a lightning thrower, but I think that would be too OP

Will there be a post game world? In botw we are forever stuck before defeating the calamity, but totk seems to have a more linear story: Link has to restore the master sword, find Zelda and defeat Ganondorf (possibly in this order), while in botw you can do pretty much what you want, you can either follow the full story, go talk to Impa, find the master sword, remember what you're fighting for, free the divine beasts and save Hyrule and Zelda from the calamity, or you can straight up go kill Ganon and save this lady that spoke you when you woke up. With the main event probably unlocking at the end of at least finding Zelda and restoring the master sword, it seems unlikely that the world will be on a loop again, because the events of totk will probably change the world of this Hyrule, and this is most likely the last time we impersonate wild!Link in a Zelda game, so it would be nice to be able to help the kingdom even after saving Hyrule once and for all, maybe have Zelda join in combat like Sidon and Riju in the trailer or even as a playable character with a whole new set of clothing and accessories.

What if we can change Link's hair in different hairstyles? Like we have the standard one and the one with long hair, so what if we could get other haircuts like the ones with the different hero's caps? We could have a hero of time haircut, a hero of the sky haircut, a hero of twilight haircut, a Lorule haircut which would be just Link with dark hair, and a Linkle haircut too maybe. The barber shop would be either in stables or in important cities, a Gerudo cut could make you look like a vay without the need of a veil so you can use whatever piece of clothing you want in the citadel, a Zora/Goron/Rito cut would make the species compliment Link for his sense of style (yes, only the Gerudo one is somewhat useful cause it's the only one that would make sense). Think of how much you could customize Link, it would be so cute

Ph.D. levels of detective work going on here, trying to decipher ever miniscule pixel of the newest trailer while referring to previously given material. Almost, dare I say, Sherlockian and/or downright unhinged levels of Charlie Day overanalyzation and theory crafting. Each possible theory, of course, gaining millions miles' worth of traction, regardless of how possible or impossible said theories can be.
