Hello! I make art and like sharing my thought-process sometimes. Zelda's taken over my life, currently

These two should meet. I think they'd get along

This game is childhood to me. How I miss it and it's delightful design

The 2D Zelda brainrot continues

A bunch of ALTTP drawings I've had sitting on my laptop for ages

Finally. Some good news

Link and Malon living that happy married life. This is a more common occurrence than you'd think ;)
This was a 2-year old WIP and I finally, f i n a l l y finished it. Huzzah!
I wasn't even gonna bother, I just wanted to add some color before sending it off but then I ended up completing it lmao. It never goes according to plan.
The anatomy really fought me on this one. Just couldn’t get them to look quite right for the longest time. Funny how randomly opening the file again after a half-year hiatus knocked the answer out of me. There's still some flaws in the form I'm sure, but that's ok. I'll let 'em be.
This is actually the result of a redraw. I was very attached to the idea, but the original attempt looked less like the cute duo I was envisioning and more like a cursed couple image. That version can stay lost in the void of no return ha ha, but I did want to share some of the other portion of its evolution.

"Your true face... What kind of... face is it? I wonder... the face under that mask... Is that... your true face?"

Late Halloween art! It’s such a relief being able to finally liberate this project from my WIPs purgatory.
I haven't posted any development processes in a while so I wanted to share this one. It's interesting being able to see how much something can change from beginning to end. Just before I posted this I remembered the first sketches were still jotted down in my old sketchbook from well over a year ago. I found them and thought they were amusing, so I've squished them in there as well.

Sneak Peek!

I'm finally getting back to these WIPs again. I have a lot of Fall-themed ones that have been sitting in my laptop since last year. Burn-out got me then but thankfully I've been managing better this season. So excited to be working on these again!
If all goes well, I'll be able to post these and a few others soon :)

It's not diving underwater, but he still looks pretty good swimming and burrowing up like a mole.

Played Tears of the Kingdom. Felt like I was going through the 5 stages of grief the entire time lmao.
I'm too tired to really explain everything this game made me feel. In a few words, I had high expectations going in and none of them were met :(. It felt like 6 years of anticipation quickly flushed down the toilet. I actually preordered the game and cleared some of my week to play it on release— two things I had never done before. That should give you an idea about how excited I was; the efforts I took in order to best enjoy the newest game of my favorite videogame series. The crash and burn was imminent, really.
I wanted to humorize the pain and absurdity I was put through during my playthrough. It's my way of accepting Totk for what it is and moving on now

Link taking a breather with his bff Epona

Nintendo really decided to leave her down there for another 8 months

I played Alttp & LA HD for the first time this year and they were both GREAT!
When I picked the first one up I was kind of worried that I wouldn’t be able to appreciate the classic. I’ve played 2D games before but it’s been many years since I’ve touched one. I’ve also primarily grown up with 3D games, especially where Zelda’s concerned. Ironically though, that’s probably why the experience it created for me felt so special. It’s old with it’s own brand of challenges, and yet I really wasn’t expecting how much it would move me all throughout my playthrough. I was already giddy by all the charming details and character, so discovering just how deeply this game and it’s sequel has obviously inspired all the Zelda games I grew up playing with? I was floored. It all suddenly clicked and it was like discovering something old and completely brand new all at once.
I enjoyed both games so much. There’s so many characters and scenes that caught my imagination and that has been calling me to draw. For now, here are some illustrations of Link in the mountain regions of the first game. The Bully and Gumball in particular (and as I like to call them) were some of my favorite character encounters. It must of been so surreal for Link to run into them only briefly after getting turned into a rabbit. They were a really amusing pair, and it was really fun trying to reimagine them!

Wind and Four

Kikwi!

Twilight Bunny and Dark World Wolf
Oh my gosh
Four as a dog
Is the most precious thing ever and your art is so good he is such a good doggie
Aww thank you so much! ^^
The weenie-dog breed felt like the perfect choice for Four too. Sweet-natured, playful and stubborn, and tends to easily forget their own small size? It just felt too fitting of a combo

More silly sausages!
This drawing absolutely refused to be leashed btw. I meant to keep it close to the original concept’s style, but without a time-limit or some other form of restraint I think I end up with too much leeway sometimes. Not that I’m displeased! I quite enjoyed getting to bother my dog for this one.
Now that it’s summer break I’m hoping I’ll be able to create art more frequently.
