BTS when you call them "oppa":
Kim Seokjin:
You met Kim Seokjin when you were chosen to be Bangtan Seonyeondan's new stylist. It was the biggest, best paying job you've ever had, and after a few months of being with the boys, you were very close to all of them, particularly to a tall, handsome, broad-shouldered one.
You and Jin started dating barely a year after you began working for Bighit, and you've been in a happy relationship for nearly five months now.
Being a foreigner and living in Korea for less than a year and half, learning Korean wasn't a simple task, and your vocabulary was still very limited. Additionally, you were still studying the Korean culture and the different ways to address people, depending on their position and so on.
Lately, you noticed that a lot of the younger female staff members were calling some of the members "oppa". After researching a bit, you understood that it was a nickname for an older guy, literally meaning "older brother".
You found it awkward calling any of the members that way, especially your boyfriend, so you stuck with "ssi" most of the time, or just their regular names when you're alone. But today you decided to do a little experiment.
You tapped your foot impatiently against your carpeted parceut floor, waiting for Seokjin to arrive after a day of grueling practice. It was your day off, so you had lots of extra time to freak out over your ridiculously easy, yet terrifying, plan.
Scrolling through your Instagram mindlessly, you let out an anxious sigh when you heard the familiar sound of keys turning in the keyhole, turning off your phone and getting up to greet your boyfriend.
"Hey, sweetheart", Jin said tiredly, walking through the door with a small smile. His eyes, dull from exhaustion, seemed to light up when he saw you, and he reached forward to pull you in for a warm hug, lips pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
"Hey", you responded gently, wrapping your own arms around your lover's strong torso and letting your eyes slip shut, basking in the comforting smell of Seokjin as you press your ear to his chest, enjoying the sound of his heartbeat against your ear.
The two of you stood there just like that, embracing each other, for a few more minutes. You could have stayed there forever, wrapped in your boyfriend's arms, hidden from the world, but Jin had other plans, gently detaching himself from you, smiling slightly when you whined in frustration.
"I have to go make dinner, sweetie. It's late.", Jin explained, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear lovingly. You turned to look at the clock, frowning when you realized that it was, indeed, late. Your stomach rumbled at the mention of food, suddenly remembering that you hadn't eaten all day, too occupied with thoughts about your little social experiment.
Grumbling, you let Jin take your hand with a victorious grin, and lead you to your small kitchen, already waiting for the two of you, shiny and squeaky-clean.
Jin starts making your dinner, the two of you making small talk as you sit on top of the counter, despite Jin's protests and complaints, swinging your legs as you watch your boyfriend cut vegetables and juicy pieces of meat expertly.
You start feeling restless when the meat starts to cook, the delicious wave of smell coming from the fried pork filling your nostrils and causing you to cling to Jin, pacing around the frying pan and following your boyfriend around expectantly, waiting for dinner to be ready.
Jin scolds you for getting in the way of his cooking and "making it hard for him to stir the food by acting like a human sized koala", but doesn't do anything legitimate to stop your clingy behaviour.
The idea pops into your head out of boredom, when you're standing next to Jin, leaning on the counter as you watch him sing some ballad under his breath, mixing the colorful assortment of fresh veggies with the now-brown chunks of mouth-watering meat.
He's focused entirely on the food, cute creases adorning his forehead and eyes narrowed slightly as he pours in different spices carefully into the stew. He looks like the embodiment of "boyfriend material" right now, with his oversized pink hoodie and messy chocolate brown hair, his full pink lips pursed in concentration.
"Oppa, I'm hungryyy~~", you whine cutely, smirking to yourself when your boyfriend freezes for a second, eyes widening slightly in surprise.
You cross your arms over your chest, tapping your foot against the floor when Jin turns to look at you. He concealed his shock successfully, but there's a fond smile on his face that reveals his excitement at your sudden use of the word.
"I just finished", he says, removing the pan from the fire with his glove-cladded hands and pecking your lips quickly as he moves to place the food on the table. "Let's eat".

Min Yoongi:
Yoongi and you have been dating for almost nine months now, and these months were the best in your life. You grew very comfortable with the older, and you were positive you knew him better than most people, even if you were still learning something new everyday.
But today, Jungkook managed to surprise you when he secretly told you about Suga's very obvious liking for the honorific "oppa", and how he confessed to the guys one day this week after too many shots of alcohol that he wished you would address him like that.
Staring at the maknae, you felt your cheeks burn bright red as you played with your hair nervously, twirling it around your finger. The youngest member looked amused at your nervous reaction, biting his lips to stop his natural instinct to smile at your cute behaviour, and shrugging. "I just thought you'd like to know. He'll never admit it in front of you. Not sober, anyway."
And now, you were walking home, and Jungkook's words were echoing in your mind, messing your thoughts and making you blush continuously. You see your boyfriend at least once a day, even if it's just to say hello, and you've never sensed he wanted to be called "oppa".
Honestly, you don't have a problem with the term. The only reason you didn't call Yoongi "oppa" by now was because, ironically, you thought he might find it awkward. If you knew he liked it so much, you definitely would've used it before.
Making up your mind, you walk quickly to your boyfriend's studio, feet tapping on the shiny marble floor as you half-jog to the familiar opaque glass door, knocking on it hurriedly.
"Who is it?", You hear the surprised voice of your boyfriend, not used to people daring to interrupt his work, and before you can answer, the door is already sliding open, revealing the confused face of your boyfriend.
He looks as cute as usual, standing in the doorway with his comfortable black clothes you've become so used to, an oversized black shirt with sleeves up to the elbow and loose training pants, barely brushing the top of his knees.
His faded white hair is tucked unceremoniously under a gray beanie and there's a sealed coffee cup in his hand, which you are sure is filled to the brim with coffee so black you wouldn't even be able to smell it.
"Y/N", Yoongi still looks confused by your unexpected visit, but the slight annoyance seen on his face is gone now, replaced with a glimmer of happiness in his dark eyes. "What are you doing here?"
You shrug, not really sure yourself, before stepping in to peck your boyfriend's lips gently, "Just thought I'd come say hi. I hardly get to see you with the comeback around the corner".
"Oh.", Yoongi says, nodding slowly before closing the door behind you. You move over to sit on the couch while your boyfriend returns to his chair, facing the computer once again.
You watch Suga work for a few minutes, a calming silence enveloping the room as the only sound comes from the keyboard, where your boyfriend is ticking away.
"How's the song coming along, oppa?", You ask innocently, unable to stop the smile surfacing your lips when said oppa freezes completely, his fingers hovering in the air above the keyboard.
'He really does like it', you think to yourself with a silent chuckle, enjoying the sight of your boyfriend trying to regain his composure uselessly, clearing his throat repeatedly as he continues to write.
"It-It's going well", Yoongi stammers, still facing the computer stubbornly, and you grin, getting up from the couch and fixing the creases on your clothes.
"Well, I don't want to be a burden, so I think I'll-" "Stay.", Yoongi interrupts you, and you feel your cheeks hurt from the force of your smile, turning away from the door and back to the couch with a slight bounce in your steps.
"Okay, oppa".

Jung Hoseok:
Korean was a difficult language to learn, but having your lovely boyfriend as your teacher certainly made it easier.
You sat on the couch in your shared apartment with Hoseok, only half listening to your boyfriend's explanations of attaching particles and irregulars and lot more things you would like to ignore.
Usually, you were a very focused student, drinking up every piece of information Hobi gives you and asking questions when something isn't understandable.
But today, you were tired, and Hoseok looked exceptionally good, with his freshly-died black hair and ripped blue jeans at the thighs, showing off melanin skin. The way his mouth was moving was far more interesting than the words coming out of his mouth, his lips shiny and red...
"Y/N?", Hoseok's voice interrupted your hungry thoughts, and you raise your eyes to meet his own. He's staring at you with a raised eyebrow, an amused glint in his eyes, as if he knew exactly what you were daydreaming of.
"Oh. Sorry.", You mumble, trying to hide the blush slowly covering your cheeks by lowering your head, your hair streaming down to cover your face.
Your boyfriend chuckles lightly, squeezing your thighs gently in reassurance. "You know what? Maybe we should learn something else today. Something easier. Maybe... Honorifics?", Hobi suggested, taking everything by a stride like he always did, his eyes searching your eyes. "It's really simple, I promise."
You nod, still embarrassed, and will yourself to listen to what your boyfriend's explaining now. The subject is pretty understandable and interesting, especially coming from a culture who regards it differently, so it's not as hard to focus. It also helps that Hoseok explains everything as if it's the most fascinating topic in the world, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm, hands gesturing widely.
"So... You know that technically you're supposed to call me "oppa"?", J-hope says casually after a few minutes of studying, and you choke for a second, raising your head to look at your boyfriend's slightly blushing cheeks, matching your own.
You cough, shifting sideways to look at your lover better, who is now avoiding your gaze, eyes focused on the material of the couch underneath him.
"Well... Do you want me to?", You ask carefully, smiling when the older's eyes shoot up to you, the previous shyness he showed gone completely.
"Yeah!", he exclaimed with excitement, scooching over on the couch to be closer to you and grabbing your hands in his, his lips stretched to reveal a blinding smile.
You shake your head with amusement at his cute behaviour, and lean forward to press a gentle peck to the other's nose, unable to hide the fondness lacing your voice.
"If that's what makes you happy, oppa."

Kim Namjoon:
It was a hot summer day, and you wanted ice cream. More specifically, you wanted to get ice cream with your boyfriend, Kim Namjoon.
The only problem in this flawless plan was that Joon was working. He agreed to work at home, under the condition that you wouldn't distract him too much, a condition that was proving to be harder than you imagined. Especially when it was a hundred degrees outside.
You bite your lip lightly as you contemplate if you should actually bother RM, despite promising you wouldn't.
Huffing, you stare at the wooden door that leads to Namjoon's studio angrily. 'He needs this as much as I do', you convince yourself. 'He's been working all day'.
Feeling more confident now, you tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear and open the door slightly, peeking through the crack.
Your boyfriend is sitting with his back to you, mumbling under his breath as he writes something down on a piece of paper, occasionally raising his head to look at his computer screen.
His rusty blond hair looks messy even from behind, and you know he's probably been running his hands through it for hours now. His broad shoulders are hunched over his desk, his torso clad in a red checkered pyjama top.
"Hey, Joon", you say softly, knocking on the door to get your boyfriend's attention as you step into the room quickly, shutting the door behind you quietly.
Namjoon turns his head to you, his eyes wide with surprise, but thankfully, he doesn't look annoyed in the slightest. He swivels on his chair so he's facing you, a dimpled smile appearing on his face.
"Hey, love", he responds sweetly, the thick black glasses perched on the top of his nose making him look annoyingly sexy and cute at the same time, "To what do I owe the pleasure?"
You smile, making sure to add a bit of puppy eyes as you walk forward to sit on the edge of your lover's thighs, straddling him with your legs on either side of his body.
"I wanted to check up on you", you say truthfully, playing with the collar of Namjoon's soft pyjama top, before looking up to shoot him a sheepish smile. "And maybe I also want you to go with me to get ice cream".
Your boyfriend raises his eyebrows at your confession, his hands placed on either of your legs as he rubs circle on your jeans with his thumbs. "I thought you weren't going to bother me?", he asks with a small smirk, not even trying to sound mad.
"I wasn't!", You defend yourself before shrugging helplessly, making Joon let out a gentle chuckle that you felt in your bones.
Shaking his head, you could already sense the 'no' standing on the tip of your boyfriend's tongue, so you move to the last resort before it's too late.
"Please, oppa?", You say with the cutest voice you can muster, wrapping your arms around his neck for good measure and moving even closer to him, so you're literally in his lap.
You can feel the way Namjoon's breath hitches, his cheeks turning a nice rosy shade of red as he shakes his head at your antics, looking defeated.
Your boyfriend sighs loudly, closing his eyes, and you almost feel bad for using the "oppa" antic, knowing how easily it turns him to putty in your hands.
"Fine, but-" "Yay, thank you, I love you!", You interrupt him, pecking his lips quickly and jumping from your place on his lap, intertwining your fingers together tightly as you lead the way out of the dimly lit room, your boyfriend following you with an exasperated sigh.

Park Jimin:
Being sick sucked, but you couldn't be more thankful for Jimin and his infinite care and love, especially during times like these.
You cough for the hundredth time today, your throat feeling scratchy and dry like the desert. Your eyes are closed, not because you're tired, but because it feels like someone placed sandbags on top of your eyelids, making it hard to keep them open for more than a few seconds.
You continue to lay on your bed, curled up in the covers as shivers wrack through your body, the temperature around you switching from freezing to burning within seconds.
"Hey, baby", you heard the gentle voice of your boyfriend, and then the tap of feet against the ground before the bed underneath you shifted, signaling that Jimin sat on the edge of it.
You can't get your mouth to move enough to answer his greeting, but you manage to flutter your eyes open slightly, blinking away the tears of exhaustion lining the bottom of your eyes as you focus on the figure of your boyfriend.
He looks amazing as usual, but worry and tiredness is etched all over his features as he looks at you closely, examining you for any visible discomfort.
His platinum blonde hair is matted to his forehead, sweaty from the run he probably did to get here. His almond eyes are staring at you with so much care that something inside your chest comes to life, stirring with warmth. His full lips are pressed in a thin line as looks at you, a sigh escaping his lips.
"How are you feeling?", He asks, running a hand through your tussled hair slowly, a small smile appearing on his face when you lean into his touch unconciously.
"Better", you say with the voice of a dying toad, lying despite knowing Jimin can easily read right through you, if his slightly raised eyebrows are anything to go by.
Not trying to disagree with your pathetic attempts to calm him down, your boyfriend takes out the medicine the doctor had prescribed for you, the only reason Jimin left your shared apartment for the last twenty-four hours.
"Here you go", he says, placing the small container of pills on the desk next to your bed, before taking out a water bottle and box of steaming rice cakes from another bag, which, judging by the smell, is from your favorite restaurant.
"You hadn't eaten anything for the last day, and you can't drink these pills on an empty stomach", Jimin explains at the sight of your questioning gaze. "I thought it's the least I could do."
You smile at Jimin's innocent way of thinking. He was always willing to do anything for you, even if it meant going to the other side of Seoul to buy you your favorite dish. Yet for him, it's the "least he could do".
You sit up with your lover's help, letting him place your pillows against the headboard of the bed to support your back, and you watch him with soft eyes as he opens the box of steaming food carefully, handing you a pair of chopsticks with a gentle smile.
"Thank you, "oppa", you say, shocking yourself and Jimin as one. You hardly ever call Jimin oppa, only when you want something from him or here and there when he asks you to jokingly.
But now, with the way Jimin was taking care of you, nothing like his usual baby-boy behaviour (which you loved as well obviously), you couldn't help but think the term fit more than usually.
Jimin's eyes widen for a second, before softening completely, and he leans forward to press a firm, warm, kiss to your temple. "Anything for you".

Kim Taehyung:
You and Taehyung had went to Daegu to celebrate the holidays with your boyfriend's family. It wasn't the first time you were meeting the Kim family, and you had already gotten to know and love the members of it.
"Y/N eonniee~~", you smile at the sound of the happy shout directed towards you, opening your arms for the small girl running towards you with all her might, sneaker-clad feet hitting the pavement.
"Yoona!", You let out a laugh as said girl leaps at you, wrapping her small arms around your neck as she hugs you tightly, burying her face in your neck with a squeal of excitement.
"Yah! What about a hug to your uncle?", Taehyung scolds half-heartedly, a small frown on his face as Yoona detaches herself from you, clambering off of you with a smile, before leaping towards your pouty boyfriend.
The angry expression immediately dissapears from Taehyung's face as his niece hugs him, and he lifts her up easily, twirling her around while she clings to him tightly, cute giggles of joy erupting from her pink lips.
You small as you watch the two reunite, unable to hide your own happiness at your boyfriend's happiness. You knew Taehyung was constantly missing home, and the blinding smile he was wearing right now proved that he was right where he belonged.
Placing Yoona on the ground gently, Taehyung intertwines his fingers with the little girl, letting her place her free hand in yours as the three of you start walking toward the family house slowly, swinging your conjoined arms with Yoona and occasionally lifting her up to entertain her, and hear more of the beautiful giggles she let out.
When you finally reach the door of the house, Taehyung lets go of Yoona's hand, returning to the car to take out your shared suitcase, a large blue one, big enough for the long time you'll spend here.
Yoona's chocolate brown eyes widen at the sight of her uncle coming back, carrying the luggage in his hands easily, and her small mouth opens slightly, revealing two rows of blinding white teeth.
"Wow~~ How can Taehyung oppa carry such a heavy bag?", She asks, awe laced in her voice as Taehyung reaches you, a small smile on his face due to the kid's cute question.
Before the older has an opportunity to respond, you're already ruffling the girl's silky dark hair gently, pinching her cheek lightly. "Well, Yoona, Taehyung oppa is really strong."
You smirk slightly when Taehyung's chest literally puffs out at the sound of the compliment, his demeanor gaining even more confidence as he makes a big show of lifting the bag over his head, as if he was lifting weights.
Trying to hide your giggle behind your hand, you let Yoona continue ogling at her Superman uncle, leaning against the doorframe.
'So he likes to be called oppa', you think to yourself, a mischievous smile making it's way onto your face. 'Good to know'.

Jeon Jungkook:
You snort as you watch the video your friend sent you just a few minutes ago, raising your eyebrows at the screen in wonder.
The video was from a recent fanmeet of BTS, and it focused on your boyfriend, aka BTS' maknae, Jeon Jungkook.
In the video, taken by a fan, you could see your boyfriend's strangely aggressive reaction to being called oppa by one of the fans in the crowd, a noona, specifically.
As a foreigner, you never really called Jungkook 'oppa', just because it felt weird to call your boyfriend your 'big brother'. You did, however, address the rest of the members that way, after being sure they were okay with it.
"Babe, I'm home!", You raise your head from the screen at the sound of Jungkook's melodic voice, exiting the video you've been watching and getting to your feet, an idea starting to form in your head.
"Coming!", You shout back, padding barefoot out of your room and to the living room, where your boyfriend had just entered, dropping his black backpack on your cream colored sofa with a huff of exhaustion.
He looks tired, as expected after a day of recording BTS' new album, but he still smiles brightly when he sees you, pulling off his black bucket hat and letting his long raven hair tumble down his face.
His hair is long now, incredibly so, and it makes him look like some handsome villian from a Disney movie, especially with his all-black outfit, a black t-shirt with matching skinny jeans and mountain boots.
The only thing ruining his perfectly evil image is his baby face, the sparkling doe eyes and the sweet bunny smile, directed straight towards you.
You make a step towards you boyfriend, standing on your tiptoes to kiss his nose gently, before stepping back just a little bit, so your noses are almost touching.
"Welcome home, oppa", you say with a small smile, watching Jungkook's expression morph into one of surprise, his eyebrow knitting together in confusion before a displeased frown makes it's way to his face.
"Oppa?", He asks incredulously, his bottom lip jutting out as he sends you a look of distaste, making you laugh whole heartdely.
"What's the problem?", You ask curiously, wrapping your arms around Jungkook's slim waist and placing your chin on his chest. "Do you not like it?'
Your lover shrugs, placing his own arms on the small of your back as you sway back and forth slowly, staying in place. "Makes me feel old", he admits, scrunching his nose cutely.
You giggle, leaning forward to boop his nose, just to see it scrunch even more. "There's nothing in the world that'll make you seem old, babe.", You assure him gently, "You'll always be a baby to your members and ARMY.", You say with confidence, looking up to Jungkook's slightly scared eyes.
"And to you?", Jungkook asks with a hint of a smile, only half joking as he peers down at you expectantly, a curious glimmer in his eyes.
"You'll always stay my manbaby, Kook.", You say with a wide smile, hugging your boyfriend even tighter in your arms. "I promise."

My Mafia Girlfriend- Kim Taehyung
When you come back home, it's four o'clock in the morning. No sane girl would be roaming on the streets at this hour, but you're not any girl. And maybe you're just not sane, either.
You walk a bit faster, dying to reach the familiar apartment and change out of your sticky clothes. The blood and the sweat was clinging to the fabric, making you feel disgusting and even more exhausted, the mere thought of having to take a shower and not going to sleep immediately weighing you down.
Climbing up the stairs of the building you live in was almost impossible, your legs screaming in protest at every step taken. When you finally reach the oak door, old and smelling like home, you let out an audible sigh of relief, fishing your keys from the back pocket of your dirty khaki pants.
You slip the key into the keyhole, opening the door with a slight creak against the carpeted floor. It's warm inside the small apartment you've learned to call home, like all the moonlight in the world gathered in this room.
"Y/N? Is that you?"
There it is. You smile uncontrollably at the voice you love so much. It's deep, ocean deep, a tinge of hesitation appearing in it, and maybe a little fear, too.
Your grin widens when he enters the living room. He's wearing another one of his checkered pyjama pants, the kind you always tease him for. His grey t-shirt is obviously old, the color faded out, but you know from personal experience he won't agree to throw it out, no matter how much you beg.
"That's a nice bat you have there.", you say, not trying to hide the amusement in your voice as you look at the metal bat your boyfriend is holding tightly in his right hand, here from the time he decided to try baseball (that lasted two weeks).
Taehyung pouts, lips jutting out cutely at your teasing, and he furrows his eyebrows in what seems to be annoyance. "You can never know who passes through that door", he shrugs, setting the bat on the wall beside him.
You shake your head, pursing your lips to stop another smile from surfacing. You're too in love, too breathless, and you know it.
Taehyung seems to be the same, when he steps towards you slowly, almost shyly, until you're face to face, his right hand coming up to push a strand of clumpy hair from your face.
"You tired?", he asks sweetly, his chocolate eyes studying you carefully, reading your body language like only he could.
You nod, feeling your eyes drooping slightly lower at the question, and tangle your hands in Taehyung's soft black curls, unbrushed and unruly on the top of his head, wrapping your arms around his neck.
Taehyung's face is so close to yours you can see the sparkles in his eyes, the way his mouth curls into a small smile when you yawn, tucking your head in the warm skin of his neck.
His hands fall to your waist, fingertips digging ever so gently into the skin of your hips, not caring at all that you smell and reek of death and evil. "You're such a baby.", he says with a grin, eyes squinting into small crescents and mouth forming a boxy shape. "Let's take you to the shower".
You let your lover drag you to the bathroom, his hand wrapped around your wrist delicately as he leads you forward, occasionally helping you regain your balance when you stumble.
Taehyung helps you take off your clothes when you reach the bathroom, peeling off your blood-soaked tank top, his face not showing any hint of discomfort or disgust, despite the situation being both.
Over the years you've been dating, Taehyung had learned to not ask you about the mafia part of your life. He learned to avoid asking about strange wounds, or blood stains, instead choosing to take care of you quietly.
Taehyung understood, eventually, that he was your safe place. The one person you didn't have to act tough with, that you didn't have to be strong with. The one person who could call you a 'baby' without you driving a bullet through his skull.
You watch Taehyung's face as he takes off your pants slowly, eyes scanning your body for any serious injury, his bottom lip sucked between his upper teeth, his golden skin shining under the harsh light above you.
You don't even realize how long you've been staring, until Taehyung lets out a chuckle, snapping his fingers in front of your face. "Stay with me for a bit, sweetie. I'm going to get you your clothes."
You blink, not missing the fond look Taehyung sends you, and walk in zombie like steps towards the now full bathtub, letting out a sigh of content when your feet touch the warm water.
It's easy to forget like this, with the water slowly rinsing you clean, your muscles finally relaxing after a day of being used nonstop.
You close your eyes, feeling your breathing steadying against your chest, almost as if you've been unknowingly holding it in until now.
"Baby."
Taehyung's hand, running down the side of your face gently, wiping the water under your eyes with a calloused thumb. "I hate to wake you up, but you should get dressed and go to bed. It's late."
You nod, mumbling something incoherent, and let Taehyung bring you to your feet and rinse you off one last time, his hand running over your body like the water, smooth and comfortable.
And then you're stepping out of the bathtub, and there's a fluffy white towel wrapping around your body, soft to the touch and smelling like conditioner and chocolate chip cookies.
You can hear Taehyung humming a song under his breath as he dries you off, making sure there's not a spot left damp. His voice rings in your ears, so soft and melodic, and you think that if your boyfriend wanted, he could definitely be a singer, could be anything, actually.
Soft wool is being pulled over your head, getting caught for a second on the bridge of your nose, and Taehyung releases it carefully, laughing under his breath.
You recognize the clothing as your favorite gown, or more like, Taehyung's favorite, since he insisted you needed something cute in your closet, just for the house, something that isn't dark and gloomy and meant for camoflauge.
Even though you had laughed when you first saw it, you had grown to like it. Grown to like the soft feeling against your skin, the soft pink color and the constant smell of strawberries clinging to it, no matter how much times you washed it. It reminded you of someone you'll never be, but maybe you wished you will.
Everything passes by calmly, Taehyung brushing your hair with dedication, applying ointment to your bruises and mosturizing your face, because, according to your boyfriend, radiant skin is important even for a mafia leader.
Sometimes you still wonder why Kim Taehyung is with you in the first place. Why he didn't leave you the first day you told him who you were, after a month of him asking you out and you declining continuously. Why he had smiled and grabbed your hand and kissed your knuckles as if your weren't the worst person alive. Why he said in the most nonchalant voice possible: "I never dated a mafia leader before. But it sounds pretty cool".
There were times you felt guilty. Guilty for being a burden, a horrible girlfriend who returns so late at night and drives him crazy with worry. A girlfriend who had to be taken care of so frequently, who forces him to hide in his home and live in constant fear of a bad guy knocking on his door.
You had your fights, had screamed and cried and threw stuff in the past. You even tried to break up. But the thing that Taehyung prides himself for the most is his strong will. And you loved him too much, too much to be a good person. Too much to let go.
And it was one night, one night where everything felt so intimate, as if even the moon was hidden to give you privacy, that Taehyung pulled you close, his hands closing around the hem of your shirt desperately, the two of you chest to chest and heart to heart, and he had whispered against your lips, so softly you almost couldn't hear him.
"I know that everything you do, is to protect me. That when you go out there and fight against whoever it is, you fight for me. So don't push me away, Y/N, because I live to take care of you, just like you go to battle for me."
You had stopped then, stopped fighting the one fight you couldn't win, and let yourself succumb completely to the hands of the one you loved. Even when the fear kept running through your mind occasionally, paralyzing you with thoughts of him leaving, or worse, getting hurt because of you.
Before you know it, you're in bed, tucked into the covers, squeaky clean and smelling like roses and strawberries. You wonder what people would think if they were to see you right now. The leader of the biggest mafia gang in Seoul, so pliant under the hands of a man. Surprisingly, you couldn't care less.
Taehyung slips into the covers beside you, and throws an arm across your waist, pulling you even closer so your back was completely pressed to his sturdy chest.
His breathing is steadying slowly, soft puffs of air hitting your nape rthymntically, causing your eyes to shut as well, the calming sounds of his breathing along with the rising and falling of his chest lulling you to sleep.
But just before you fall into the depths of sleep, you turn in your boyfriend's hold, in your savior's hold, and press a kiss to his perfect lips, so soft you think you might have imagined doing it.
"I love you.", You whisper, a scream in the silence of the night, but barely heard with the beating of your heart. Because Taehyung was always the fighter between the two of you, no matter how much people you kill, and he gave his heart to you without second thought, placed it in the palms of a murderer.
You promise to yourself every night to cherish his heart, to protect it from the world you couldn't protect yourself from.
And when you fall asleep like that, forehead pressed against Taehyung's, fingers intertwined with his and hearts conjoined, you know that Kim Taehyung was the best, maybe the only good choice, you've ever made.

BTS when they meet your parents:
Seokjin:
Your boyfriend will be super nervous, but he'll try not to show it, not in front of you and definitely not in front of your parents. (But you'll catch him practicing his lines in front of the mirror in your bedroom more than once when he thinks you don't see him uwu). When you enter your parents house, Jin is quick to suggest your mother to help with the cooking (she loves him since that moment lmao), and he seems to knows exactly what your father wants to talk about (somehow he became a politic expert overnight). He also cracks a few dads jokes that are surprisingly funny and don't make you want to face palm aggressively (in such perfect timing, it seems like he planned the whole night beforehand.) Basically, he's helpful, funny, handsome and intelligent, and your parents make sure to text you after you go back home, warning you that they won't accept any other man in your house. Luckily, you don't plan on ever leaving the man of your dreams uwu<3

Yoongi:
Yoongi will also be nervous, knowing how important it is to you that your boyfriend and parents get along well, even if you try to assure him that there's nothing to worry about. He'll want to impress them so bad, that instead of being himself, he'll be stiffer and almost awkwardly polite at the start, afraid that he'll slip up somehow. It'll take a while, but after you smile at him encouragingly and hold his hand under the table, and he sees how nice and understanding your folks are, he'll slowly come out of his shell, talking more and expressing his own opinions (which is great because he's smart af). You'll actually be surprised by how much fun your boyfriend is having by the end of the night, his adorable gummy smile on full display, making private jokes with your dad and complimenting your mom's food enthusiastically. You'll probably find yourself dragging him out of the house after it gets really late, a smile on your face when you understand that everything went even better than you thought.

Hoseok:
Hobi will straight up be shaking the whole ride to your parents' house, he's so nervous and he can't even hide it, holding your hand the whole way and asking if he looks 'classy but not too flashy' uwu. When he finally meets your folks he won't be too quiet, rather he'll be a bit awkward, smiling and laughing at every single word said, even when it's not exactly amusing. Luckily, your parents won't judge him to harshly, actually finding your jittery and sweaty boyfriend adorable, and reassure him that they won't bite lmao. After that, he becomes much more relaxed, engaging in the conversation rather than just reacting to it, and impressing your mom and dad when he talks about his music career with passion and love that never ceases to amaze you. He'll still laugh a lot , though, but it's natural now hehe. In the end, Hobi exits your parents' house with that smile that you love so much, and you know that he and your parents had a great time.

Namjoon:
To you, it looks like Namjoon prepared his whole life for this moment, even if he's secretly nervous at the thought of meeting your parents. His leader mode is on the second he enters your parents' house, a classic black suit fitting his model-like figure perfectly, a bouquet of colorful flowers in his hand and a bottle of expensive wine in the other. He seems to know exactly what your mom and dad want to hear, easily starting a conversation about economics with your father, and then pointing out the perfect combinations of spices in your mother's food (you're pretty sure yesterday he didn't even know how to use black pepper). Your parents also admire what a perfect gentleman he is, automatically pulling out a chair for you, looking at you lovingly whenever you're speaking and even suggesting to help your mother in the kitchen (luckily, she declines his suggestion). By the time you leave the house, both of your parents have heart eyes for Namjoon, falling in love with his cute dimples and sexy brain;)

Jimin:
Jimin will be scared even though he has no reason to be, being the pure soul that he is uwu. He'll overthink, imagining every possible situation which your parents will think badly of him, and he'll spend days choosing what to wear, no matter how much you tell him that anything will look good on him. When you'll reach your childhood house, he'll hold your hand tightly in his own, only letting you go to shake your father's hand and embrace your mother politely, his eyes crinkling cutely when she compliments his look profusely, making him blush sweetly. Despite his fears, Jimin will overcome his nerves in a shockingly amazing way, asking your parents all the right questions, holding eye contact, and activating his irresistible charms in a way that makes your mom and dad fall for him easily. His soft voice, his princely looks, caring behaviour towards you and your parents, and his undeniable love and dedication for his career, leaves no room for hesitation. He is the perfect man for you!

Taehyung:
This guy is so chill lmao. In fact, he's probably calming YOU down during the drive to your parents' house. When you finally get there, Taehyung wraps his arm around your waist, leading you to the dimly lit door, his other hand holding a small box of strawberry covered chocolates you told him your mom likes. Your parents obviously fall in love with Tae immediately, your mother already gushing over his handsome face and unique fashion taste, while your father can't help but smile at the young man's ninety degree bow to him. Your boyfriend is practically the epitome of relaxed in the best possible way, steering the conversation easily, making your parents laugh over and over again, and gushing about you half of the dinner as you sit with blushing cheeks beside him, punching his arm weakly in protest. In the end of the night, you find yourself having to detach your mother from a grinning Taehyung, and you get yourself another invitation for next week's dinner, which you're pretty sure you're not allowed to refuse lol.

Jungkook:
I feel like Jungkook will the cutest, awkwardest baby uwu. He's a pretty introverted person, so when you tell him that your parents invited the two of you for dinner, he can't help but feel anxious. Still, he smiles widely and tells you that he loves the idea, not wanting to disappoint you. (He even wears an outfit that isn't all-black for once hehe). When you enter your house, Jungkook is quick to bow deeply to your parents in greeting, before helping you take off your long coat, missing the appreciative glance your parents sent him. Your boyfriend helps your mother set all the food she made on the table, refusing to sit until the older woman was seated as well, and answers all the questions she asks him in that sweet voice of his, talking about his passion for music since an early age and his relationship with the older members. Jungkook probably won't exactly be outgoing during the first meeting, but it doesn't matter because your parents already fell in love with his sweet, caring and polite behaviour, loving the handsome boy from the second he entered the house, and they're quick to text you about how satisfied they are the second you leave the house.

"In Sickness and Health, Let Me be Yours"-
aka, whipped Jungkook and sick Taehyung, feat mama Jin.
"How is he feeling?"Jungkook asks Jin, worry evident in his voice as he watches the older exit the room, a wet towel in his hands and an almost full bowl of now-cold noodle soup.
"Not so good", the oldest member of BTS admits with a tired sigh, his eyebrows furrowed and lips tugged into a frown at the thought of Taehyung, who's been lying in bed with high fever since he woke up this morning.
"Can I go see him, hyung?", Jungkook practically begs, clasping his hands tightly in front of his chest until they turn white at the knuckles, the need to take care of his boyfriend flooding his senses. "I need to make sure he's okay."
Jin sighs again, the maknae's puppy eyes successfully melting his heart, but he knows that the second Jungkook will step in that room, there's no way he'll get out, not for practice and not for anything else, too busy coddling his older boyfriend to care.
"Only if you promise me you'll leave when you have to.", Jin says with a dark eyebrow raised, his folded arms showing there's no room for discussion, and Jungkook pouts at that, wanting desperately to stay beside his boyfriend until he's healthy again, even if he knows deep down it's not an option.
"Fine", he says reluctantly after a moment of hesitation, and the oldest of the group smile beautifully at that, petting the youngest's dark hair fondly before continuing his trek down the hall. "I'll come with more hot towels and a new bowl of soup."
Jungkook doesn't even bother to answer his hyung, barging in to the room, the now-open door hitting the wall a bit too hard, but he can't get himself to care, his eyes focused on the boy laying in the middle of the queen bed, his chest rising and falling steadily.
Jungkook always thought Taehyung was an angel and disguise, and whether that was true or not, you can fight Jungkook on that. He definitely looked like one though, nobody can disagree with that. Even now, in his unwell state, the whole room seemed to revolve around him, like the planets around the sun.
His blonde hair was spread around his head like a halo, and his eyes were screwed shut, long eyelashes fluttering against his cheeks, his pretty pink lips open slightly as he let out uneven breaths, as if it was paining him to breathe. There was sweat lining on his forehead and dripping down the side of his neck, but he was shivering, his hands hugging the black comforter to him desperately, as if he was in a refrigerator and not in an air-conditioned room.
Jungkook feels his heart break at the sight of his boyfriend like this, and he walks forward until he's at the foot of the bed, hovering over the smaller male, wanting so badly to trace the path down his high collar-bones with his fingers, wipe the sweat clinging to his skin, but he doesn't want to wake him up, choosing to stand over him instead, admiring the ethereal lines of his face. "Oh, Tae."
To his surprise, Taehyung seems to hear his soft, fond murmur, his eyes opening a bit to reveal brown irises, slightly out of focus, blinking at him blearily. "Jungkookie?"
Jungkook feels his heart pound out of his chest at the soft sound, and he nods, crouching by the bed and pushing a damp lock of golden hair out of Taehyung's eyes. "Yeah, I'm here baby.", he mumbles, eyes locked on the other's face, searching for any visible discomfort he can help with.
Taehyung smiles weakly at the pet name, leaning into Jungkook's touch, and Jungkook is weak, so weak for the man who's rubbing his cheek into his palm like a human-sized cat, and he wishes he could take away the pain for Taehyung. "Jin hyung is going to be here in a minute, with medicine and a hot towel.", he whispers, cupping his lover's face gently and rubbing his calloused thumb along the soft skin.
Taehyung hums, not saying anything but also not resisting, and that's a good sign, Jungkook believes, knowing his boyfriend can often be very stubborn, insisting he's fine when everyone knows he's not. 'At least he's letting others take care of him for once', Jungkook thinks.
"Gukkie", Taehyung's almost unheard call snaps Jungkook out of his thoughts, and he lifts his head immediately, cursing himself silently for not being more focused. "Yeah, Tae? Did something happen?"
Taehyung would probably laugh if he could, but he still lets out this weak snort at Jungkook's evident panic, his eyes shining with some of his usual mischief. "Can you come cuddle me? I'm so cold.", he asks with a pout he knows Jungkook can't resist, his brown eyes watery from lack of a good night sleep and the pain swimming in his body.
"Of course, hyung", Jungkook doesn't even hesitate, his promise to Seokjin thrown out the window as he practically lunches himself into the bed, grabbing Taehyung and pulling him closer until his back is pressed to the older's front, his lips touching the heated skin of his nape.
"Is this good?", he mumbles, holding Taehyung so gently as if he's made of glass, covering the both of them with the thick blue blanket and tangling their limbs so their bodies are touching in every way possible.
"Perfect", Taehyung mumbles, his voice already starting to sound drowsy again, and Jungkook feels his own eyes start to close as well, the heat from Taehyung's fever-induced body and the exhaustion from days upon days of practice setting him in a dream-like state, his arms around Taehyung's stomach slowly turning limp.
Jungkook knows he shouldn't fall asleep or he's going to a suffer a long-ass speech from Jin, but he can't pull away, Taehyung's warmth and strawberry smell impossible to resist, and like always, Jungkook gives in in the end.

BTS when you argue/fight:
Seokjin:
I feel like Seokjin is the type to not be reasonable at all when the two of you get into a heated argument, although you almost never do, considering that Jin is so easy-going and humorous. The only thing he'll be thinking about at the moment is to shove every bad thing you've ever done in the past in your face lmao. He won't shout or anything, but he'll raise his voice and act all sassy. He's also the type to regret everything he said and did a few minutes after the argument ends. He's not really stubborn or proud when it comes to these situations, so he'll probably be quick to apologize, breathing out in relief when you say you forgive him, before pulling you in for a warm, loving hug.
"What do you mean you didn't know? This is just like the time you "accidentally" put my favourite socks in your drawer!"

Yoongi:
Honestly, even when you and Yoongi do have serious arguments, they're probably not really heated. Despite what some people might say about Suga's scary/ominous looking persona, he's probably the type of boyfriend to hate it when you're mad at him, or the opposite. I can see Yoongs as the kind to be pretty sensible when it comes to fights, patiently listening to what you have to say and trying to understand your side even when you're not being as mature and patient as him. Because he's so careful to not start arguments, when the two of you do fight, he usually wins lol. But if he's in the wrong, he'll be quick to apologize, wanting to make up as quickly as possible.
"I know that you're upset right now, but we won't be able to solve this if you won't talk with me."

Hoseok:
I feel like you and this fluffball wouldn't get into fights almost at all, considering how sweet and lovable J-hope is. Like, I can't even imagine being mad at him lol? But if you do, and especially if you're in the wrong, don't expect to see your usual sunshine... If Hobi is pissed at you, he'll be rather cold and firm, but also impatient, sometimes unable to listen to you till the end because you're just so wrong and why can't you see it ugh. But thankfully, your boyfriend is still the best boy there is, so he will never raise his voice or say hurtful words on purpose, simply choosing to take a little break to calm himself down before going back to acting normally, pressing little kisses all over your neck as silent apologies.
"I can't even believe what you're saying, can't you see you're not making any sense?"

Namjoon:
I can't be the only who's heart hurts at the thought of fighting with Namjoon TT. But anyway, fighting with RM will also be a pretty rare cause (I know I've been saying that about them all, but what can I say, they're too freaking good). I can see him as being such a reasonable person, always thoughtful and thinking about your feelings. When you do get into a fight, Namjoon will be quiet and sensible, explaining to you his side and trying desperately to get you to understand, or the opposite. He might get frustrated if he feels like the two of you aren't able to communicate properly, but he'll still stay rational. At the end, he'll make sure everything is okay between the two of you, checking with you for the hundredth time before pulling you in for a long, comforting hug.
"I just feel like I can't understand you, please help me understand Y/N."

Jimin:
Although Jiminie isn't one to start an argument, it might be easy to get him there. I feel like Jimin is a very affectionate person, especially when it comes to you, and he's very influenced by your moods, so if you're going to be pissed and rude, well, you sort of asked for it. Fighting with Jimin is not a nice experience. I can see him as the type to raise his voice without even realizing, because he just wants you to understand that he's right, and he might say a few things he'll regret later, his words coming out harsher, but he'll never call you names or disregard you in anyway. He does have the scariest facial expression when mad tho omg. But he'll also want to reach a resolution, even if the two of you are shouting, and after you'll find it, he'll be cuddlier and clingier than ever, whining about how much he missed you uwu.
"I don't understand why you're acting like this! If it really bothered you this much you could've told me before!"

Taehyung:
Fights will Tae will usually start with something he said that was taken out of context, or something you did that pissed him off. Tae is really obvious when he's mad, he's straight up petty and making these really sassy facial expressions lmao. But he'll also be super emotional in a fight, he hates fighting with you and it hurts him when you get into these situations. I can see him as the type to raise his voice at the start, answering sarcastically and just being childish in general, but then he'll just breakdown in the middle. After he'll start crying he'll stop being mad and he'll be more sad, dropping his whole act and asking you to figure it out with him. And because you want to make up just as much as him, you'll talk it out, saying sorry and going back to being crackheads in love lol.
"Well, I'm sorry that you can't understand, but that's not my problem."

Jungkook:
Jungkook will be super scared to start arguments with you, wanting to avoid anything angsty and just live a comfortable life. So when he does get pissed at you, or the opposite, he'll try to just cool down instead of confronting you, giving you the silent treatment and pretending like nothing happened until he feels like the two of you are over it. On the other hand, if you do force him to talk about it, he'll be super sassy and will give you attitude, especially if you're the one in fault, but it's only a poor attempt to hide his pain and hurt. I can see Jungkook as the type to escape to the BTS dorm and vent out his frustration and sadness at the members, letting their words encourage him before going back home to you, ready to put his ego aside.
"Oh, right, I forgot that guy is just your bestfriend. Must be why he asked you out on a date yesterday."

BTS when you're lonely:
Kim Seokjin:
It didn't take long for your boyfriend to notice that you missed home more than usual. It made sense, considering it's been more than a year since you've last seen your parents, due to Covid.
Of course, living with your boyfriend in Seoul was a dream, especially since the past year he's actually been at home and not touring around the world. But it still hurt when someone like you, who is so emotionally attached to your family, couldn't see them for so long.
You suppose it was only a matter of time before Seokjin would notice you coming out of the bathroom with puffy, red eyes after a talk with your mom, or staring at family pictures with a trembling bottom lip, your knuckles turning white from the harsh grip on the paper.
But you were trying so hard to hide you anxiety, the worry-filled thoughts and nightmare-filled nights about how your family is doing at the other side of the world, because the last thing you wanted was to add to your boyfriend's list of problems his whiny girlfriend.
"I have a surprise for you.", Jin says out of nowhere, just as you finish dinner, wiping his mouth with a clean, white napkin before setting it down on the table, raising his eyes up to meet your confused ones, the brown orbs glinting with mischief.
It wasn't so weird for Seokjin to surprise you with various presents, whether it was some shoes he saw you searching for on your laptop, a piece of jewelry that he thought would look good on you, or anything else that reminded him of you and he just 'had to buy'.
Before you can even question your lover, Jin is quick to throw an envelope on the table in front of you, simply raising his eyebrows and gesturing for you to open the suspicious-looking object when you send him an incredulous look, not expecting your surprise to come in shape of an envelope.
You don't hesitate too much despite your initial reaction, knowing that whatever is inside the paper cover is guaranteed to make you happy, and open the envelope with careful fingers, taking out the folded, official-looking paper before unfolding it slowly with shaky hands.
"Are you serious?", you deadpan after a few seconds of confused silence, raising your head from the scribbled words written in yellow highlight saying 'i love myself:)' to your laughing boyfriend, his brown eyes crinkled as he slaps the kitchen table with every high-pitched giggle he lets out.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't resist", Seokjin breaths out when he finally calms down, wiping imaginary tears from the corner of his eyes, before taking another folded paper out of the pocket of his blue pyjama top, handing you the white material.
"Go on, open it", your grinning lover encourages you when you stare at him accusingly, not knowing if it'll be another one of his silly antics, and you sigh, reaching out to unfold the paper, before you freeze, not believing the words written before your eyes.
"Oh my god", you whisper, your heartbeat rising and eyes filling with tears as you keep looking at the words written on the magical piece of paper: 'Premission to fly to...", unable to move your gaze away for a few seconds before looking up at Jin's, who's smile turned soft and fond, love filling his dark orbs.
"Is this real?", you utter out, probably sound a little bit crazy as you look at your boyfriend with wide, desperate eyes, your hands clutching the paper as if it's your last bit of sanity. "Am I really going to see them?"
"Yes, princess. You're going to see your family.", Jin smiles widely, his hands already ready to catch you when you practically fling yourself into his lap, hiding your tears in the crook of his neck as the older man rocks you back in forth, pressing kisses all over your silky, dark hair, his chuckles filling your chest with warmth. And even though you can't talk right now, you know he knows how grateful you are.

Min Yoongi:
Since you had a fight with your best friend two days ago, you were down in the dumps to say at least. Your best friend wasn't only the person you relied on more than anyone else, she was practically the only person in Seoul you actually trusted with your heart, aside from Yoongi and the rest of BTS.
It was a stupid fight, so stupid you actually forgot what you were arguing about to start with, but both of your egos were too big to admit your own faults and move on, so in the mean time you were curled up in your apartment, in the pyjama set you've been wearing for the past two days nonstop, licking ice cream off a huge tablespoon gloomily.
Your boyfriend hadn't said anything about your behaviour for the past two days, letting you deal with your frustration and sadness by watching old romantic movies and eating take-out, but you could tell he was starting to lose his patience, judging by the exasperated sighs leaving his mouth whenever you refused to eat a normal meal, or dragged your sock-clad feet around the house aimlessly.
Honestly, you knew you were acting childishly, but you couldn't help the way your loneliness seemed to consume you, the huge spot in your heart that was filled with your best friend's face now eerily empty.
You turn to look at your boyfriend when he sits on the couch next to you, his hands finding their way immediately around your waist, pulling you so you're leaning against him, head right over his heart.
He's still wearing his clothes from work, simple washed out jeans and a thin white tee, but he still seems out of place in your gloomy, lifeless space, his pale skin shining in the dim light coming from the kitchen.
"I saw Y/B/F/N today", he starts, his voice nonchalant, and you try to hide the way your whole body tenses up at the words, your heart physically aching, but you pretend to be indifferent, shrugging carelessly against Suga's lean form.
"She looks horrible, pretty much like you.", you frown at the words, but don't disagree knowing that your lover is saying the truth. You're not even sure when was the last time you brushed your hair.
"I think you should talk to her. Friendships like yours are too precious to ruin because of something as stupid as an argument. If people would just put their egos down and choose peace and love over war and hate, the world would be a much better place."
Your boyfriend doesn't even give you time to answer, simply mumbling 'I better take a shower' before getting up from the sofa, leaning down to press a quick kiss to your forehead before heading towards the bathroom, your dark eyes following his broad back until he disappears.
You're left alone in your thoughts, and you can't help but sigh, cursing under your breath, before opening up your phone, wincing a bit when you're met with a smiling picture of you and Y/B/F/N, the two of you pressed so close together you could think you're twins.
Hesitating, your finger hovers over the second number in your speed dial after Yoongi, named 'Soultwin', before you press the button, raising the electronic device to your ear with shaky hands, hearing the steading ringing in your ear. "Y/B/F/N?"

Jung Hoseok:
You stare at the bag of dog food sitting on the kitchen island, willing it to move out of your way but also making no attenpt to physically touch the lifeless object in front of you and push it away from your area.
The simple bag brings back too many memories: memories of laughter and excited barks, memories of autumn leaves and summer winds, memories of comforting licks on your face and soft, golden fur against your fingertips.
It's been nearly a month since Honey died, and some people would probably find it pathetic just how affected you are, but you can't help the way hot tears spring to your eyes and a sob bubbles in your throat everytime you think about the loyal pet that grew up with you for the past ten years, watching you go through every possible, awful teenage and adult stage without running away once.
You couldn't quite get yourself to throw away all the Bonzo from your apartment, nor the old, worn out red collar he used to wear, or the soft, beige cushion he used to nap on. You know you're only hurting yourself more, but you can't get yourself to care.
"Oh baby.", you don't even realize you're crying until a warm hand pulls you into an even warmer chest, and you breath shakily, burying your wet face into Hoseok's soft, baby blue wool sweater, the material brushing against your skin like a comforting breeze.
Your boyfriend has been nothing less than absolutely angelic since Honey passed away, hugging your crying form at nights when it got exceptionally bad, cleaning the house when you couldn't be bothered to do it yourself, doing everything to make you crack a smile, no matter how ridiculous it is.
It helped fill up the pit of loneliness in your heart a little bit, even if the space there was still painfully obvious, like a piece of duck-tape holding together broken shards of glass that used to be a sculpture.
"I just miss him so much", you whimper into J-hope's neck with a hoarse voice, the fragrant of his cologne, something utterly flowery and sweet like him, calming your nerves slowly until your grip on his sleeves loosens, your lean form slumping against his broad body tiredly.
"I know, sweetie. But you have to stay strong for me, okay? I'll take away all the loneliness, I promise.", your boyfriend's voice is sad, so terribly sad, but no less determined, and when you raise your red-rimmed orbs to stare into his face, watching the dark, serious, love-filled eyes staring down at you, you believe him.

Kim Namjoon:
It's been a few days since quarantine started and you were starting to get bored and exhausted from watching the same old rom-coms on TV and eating the same bowl of healthy cereal every day.
The hardest part was being away from Namjoon. Because BTS were out of the country when Covid started, your boyfriend had to be quarantined with the rest of the band, to ensure your safety and the rest of the South-Korean citizens'.
But even though you knew it was the most logical thing to do, you couldn't help but sulk over the fact that Namjoon could have been right here with you, enjoying some quality couple time that you never really experienced, without work or studies, just cuddling and kissing and sleeping and then all over again.
You couldn't even see him, except for the daily telephone calls and face-timing you were so consistent about, but it was nothing like actually seeing those deep, adorable dimples face-to-face, or the beautiful, brown dragon-eyes, or the tall, broad form of his body.
The shrill sound of the doorbell makes you sit up straight in your bed, eyes wide as you stare at the exit of your room that leads to the hallway perplexed. Who the hell is visiting you at a time like this?
You get up from bed, pushing away the covers that were cacooning your small form as fast as possible before sprinting down the hallway, your fuzzy socks skidding against the shiny, parquet floor, your messy ponytail flying behind you.
You practically body-slam into the door, opening it widely only to furrow your eyebrows when you're met with nothing at all, the hallway completely empty, not even the sound of footsteps being heard.
'I've really gone crazy, haven't I?', you think, shaking your head at your own imagination before starting to turn around, only to stop abruptly when your eyes catch the sight of something unusual on your cream-colored doormat.
It's a small, heavily wrapped carton box, and scribbled on top of it are the words 'For Miss Y/N' in messy, thick black letters, the handwriting unfamiliar to you.
Looking at the box wearily, you think how stupid what you're doing is, before leaning down to pick it up. In your defence, you were desperately looking for anything interesting right now, despite usually being a very responsible woman.
Running back into the apartment, you lock your door once again before dropping on the ground, not even bothering to go sit in the living room, and immediately starting to tear off the duct-tape keeping the brown carton stubbornly closed.
It's a rather funny situation, with you fighting two long pieces of glue, too impatient to go to the kitchen and take scissors or a knife, but you manage to do it in the end, taking out the object inside before gasping, your eyes filling with tears.
It's one of your boyfriend's most adored stuffed animals, a small Ryan plushie, big enough to fit in your hands, the perfect size to use as a small pillow or as a cuddling partner. You've seen it countless of times in RM's studio, perched on the computer table.
Wiping away the salty tears streaming down your face, you grab the small, white note tucked in the character's small, chubby arms with shaky hands, before unfolding it slowly, overwhelmed by the idea that your lover touched the same paper you're holding right now.
And there, in his simple, neat handwriting are the three words that fill your heart to the brim with something you didn't even know you were missing, causing you to let out a wet chuckle of happiness. 'You're never alone.'

Park Jimin:
Since Jimin left for tour, it became much harder to talk, with your boyfriend changing time-zones every few days and your own busy life as a university student, yet the two of you made sure to stay in contact, talking on the phone and facetiming as much as you can.
Your boyfriend was currently in Brazil, getting ready for his concert in five days, and you were positive he was working hard as always to ensure the fans have the best possible performance, yet he still promised to call you when he wakes up, so here you were, sitting on the edge of your bed, already dressed in your Chimmy pyjamas.
It's somewhat nerve-wracking, waiting like this, and you can't help but let out a shaky breath, tightening your dark ponytail like you always do when you're nervous, before swiping to the Facetime app on your phone, burning holes into the screen of your phone as you wait for an incoming call.
When it does happen though, it manages to surprise you, and your phone falls from your hands to the rug-covered floor of your room, and you curse under your breath as you lean down to pick the small device, almost rolling off the bed but too afraid Jimin will hang up to care.
Pressing the answer button quickly, you sigh with relief when a slightly blurry photo of Jimin appears on screen, your boyfriend's tired face stretching into a wide smile when he sees you.
He looks exhausted, his chocolate brown eyes red-rimmed, dark bags framing them, and his hair is still messy from sleep, grey strands sticking out in odd directions, his cute, chubby cheeks even puffier than usual.
"Jiminie~", you cry out happily, scooching even closer to the screen as if that could close the thousands of miles separating you from the love of your life.
Your boyfriend's eyes seem to brighten up slightly at the sound of your voice, and he waves at you, his small hands covered in sweater paws from the oversized jumper he was wearing. "Hello, beautiful."
The two of you talk for what seems like mere minutes when in reality you spent over three hours on the phone, judging by the darkness emitting from your window and the commotion around Jimin, signaling that the rest of the members had already woken up.
You've moved to a lying position, your lithe body tucked into the thick, wool blanket and your head leaning on your forearm as you listen to Jimin describe the tour and how amazing the fans' reaction are.
"I'm really happy for you, Jiminie, but I can't help but miss you so much", you mumble quietly, your drowsiness causing you to lose your filter, and you immediately regret it when your boyfriend's eyes darken, a sad, fond smile appearing on his plump lips.
"I miss you, too.", he whispers, staring at you for another second, before he adds: "But you know I'm always with you in your heart, right? No matter how far you are."
His words make you smile sleepily, nodding into your pillow before you open your eyes again, your lips pulling into a small pout. "I'm sorry for making it sound like it's your fault. I know that you-"
"There's nothing to be sorry for", your lover cuts you off, and the sincerity in his voice makes warmth fill your heart, grateful for the beautiful human in front of you who never gave up on you, even with all your flaws. "Now go to sleep, I'm right here."

Kim Taehyung:
The best decision you ever made was the day you agreed to move in to your boyfriend's apartment in Seoul, after a year and half of dating, a year and a half of love that fills your soul to the brim.
You and Taehyung had met when you were escorting BTS on their world tour as a stage producer, and to say you fell in love with the guy was a major understatement. After less than two years, you're positive Tae is the person you're going to be with for the rest of your life.
But sometimes, like today, it was still hard to be a foreigner in a country like South Korea, not knowing the culture or the language fluently, not having many friends to share your hardships with. It felt lonely and scary.
You walk through the door of your apartment, taking off your shoes quickly and shrugging off the puffy, white coat from your shoulders, letting it fall down to the floor underneath you carelessly.
You're already anticipating Taehyung to exit your shared bedroom the second he hears the door close, and indeed he appears, a bright smile already on his face even before he properly sees you.
He's wearing a cute, brown pyjama set, making him look even more like a oversized teddy bear than usual, the wool material clinging to his broad shoulders and long legs, and his fluffy, chocolate hair falls over his forehead, framing his twinkling, Bambi eyes.
But the big, delighted grin drops the second he sees your own expression, probably looking defeated, like you felt. His thick eyebrows furrow in confusion, pink lips pulling into a frown that you hated being the reason for.
"Hey, what's wrong?", your boyfriend is by your side in a second, his large hands cupping your face tenderly, eyes wide and soft as he inspects you, looking for the reason for your sadness.
"Do you think I fit here?", you blurt out, unable to stops the words from slipping out in front of Taehyung's concern and attentiveness, but regretting them immediately when said man's mouth drops, his expression filled with confusion.
"What do you mean 'here'?", Taehyung questions gently, probably noticing how your cheeks are red with embarrassment, and he moves to brush a lock of dark hair from your eyes before lifting your chin up carefully to look at him.
"I mean here. In South Korea, in your apartment, in your life. I'm so far away from home, from my country, from my people- and I just- I don't know.", your words end in a hushed whisper, feeling the way Taehyung tenses in front of you, the hands on your warm cheeks freezing.
There's a second of silence, and then you're being pulled into a familiar, comforting embrace, Taehyung's strong arms wrapping around your waist, one of his hands holding the back of your head lovingly as he rocks the two of you back and forth.
You inhale shakily, feeling your limbs relaxing in Taehyung's hold, and bury your nose in the older man's neck, breathing in the natural, woody smell of him and letting his hug wash your fears away the way words never could.
"You'll always belong. You'll always belong in my arms, just like I belong in yours. No matter where you are.", Taehyung says after a while, his voice firm and determined as he pulls away to peer down at you, and you can't help but nod, a smile fluttering on your lips as the brown-haired man in front of you smiles back, pulling in for a kiss.

Jeon Jungkook:
Since the day your B/F/N went back home, things have been strange. It's strange to go back home from uni without hugging her goodbye, strange to not meet up at the mall every other day and whine about being too short and not thin enough for Korean clothes.
B/F/N was two years older than you, which meant that she finished her studies at Seoul University before you did. Which meant that she went back home eventually, as reluctant as she was, leaving you alone for the first time.
Well, not really alone. Since you came to Seoul two years ago, you happened to meet the most incredible man on the face of this earth, a man who you can now proudly call your boyfriend and the love of your life. But it was still different without her.
"Hey baby, what's up?", Jungkook's soft voice resonates in your ear, making your lips perk up automatically, pressing the phone in your hand even closer to you, as if it could close the distance between you.
"Jungkookie~ When are you coming back home?", you can't help the way your voice turns high, almost whiny, and you turn bright red, hoping Jungkook didn't notice how desperate and lonely you sound.
It's silent for a minute, the only sound being your heel tapping against the parquet floor of your apartment steadily and the soft breathing from the other side. "Is everything okay, sweetheart?"
You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose. The last thing you wanted was for Jungkook to go crazy worrying about you, especially before BTS' comeback, when all his attention had to be on the preparations.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just missing B/F/N is all.", you try to force your voice to sound happy and light, but you know Jungkook can easily read you like an open book, can sense the slight tinge of sadness in each word.
"Well, I have practice till late at night today, beautiful.", you deflate slightly at the words, before getting ready to pretend that everything is fine, before Jungkook cuts you off. "But you can come over if you want? I mean it's probably a bit bori-"
"I'll be there.", you cut him off, the wide smile on your face threatening to rip your face apart, but you just love this man so much, the man who doesn't really know how to use his words, but it doesn't matter when he can use his touch and actions to express just how much he cares for you. How much he loves you. "Thank you, Gukkie."
