But Aaaaa - Tumblr Posts
I've been (very slowly) listening to tlou podcast and I have some brain thoughts
we just got to episode 7 where they're all talking about how much ellie's stuff means to her. I noticed pretty quickly that she didn't have her backpack at the end of the show. so is this gonna be the big thing that makes her and joel drift apart? cause I truly do not think show ellie would ignore him for two years for saving her. yes, absolutely, she would be mad. but two years worth? of ignoring him? when they live right next to each other (if not together)? especially after finding out about sarah and his attempt? I don't think she would ignore him for two years because of that.
so what's their big fight gonna be? is it gonna be that he got to keep his pack, but she didn't? that she lost so much stuff? her walkman, riley's pendant, her pun books, her little knickknacks. all those things mean so much to her. they're not just things, they're memories and they're things she can hold on to when she misses her friend or when she needs an escape. I still don't know if that's two years worth of ignoring over. but I do know she'd be upset about it. I am a very sentimental person, so I would be upset about it, too.
and will they go back to the hospital? and if they do, will she be able to get it back? and that's what causes the fight? I just want to know if she gets her stuff back, cause it was such an important detail in the second game and after the "you have no idea what loss is" fight, I think joel might get her frustration a bit, too. we all know she cherishes her things, but now she doesn't have them and I am very concerned for what this could mean
the fact that Tommy was okay with Abby living. and then 180'd when Ellie was okay-ish with her living. game Tommy, I am in your walls. she was finally healing, as best she could :( and then YOU CAME IN AND MADE HER GO BACK :(((((
some loose brain thoughts for you?
Kathleen's speech. when she's talking to Henry about how "kids die. all the time." and how "this is what happens when you fuck with fate." people have pointed out the similarities and how this ties to Joel, but actually thinking about it? knowing what happens in the second game? that Joel finds out exactly what happens when you "fuck with fate"? I think all of our hopes of not having golf in the second season are gonna be pointless tbh
