Sometimes I'm okay and sometimes I remember that my old catholic school still celebrates the founder's birthday and that we had to bake a cake and sing happy birthday for him, also he's been dead for 83 years lmao
every once in a while ill remember crazy stories from when i went to catholic school
some kids finding my spanish teachers facebook and outing him (senor malacara you were the only thing that made that school bearable)
my classmates stalking my science teacher to the point of finding her home address
my english teacher (possibly) having murdered two people when he was in college
some kid spreading shit all over the bathroom walls
a dead cockroach getting thrown at me in chapel
the girl next to me in history class being told by the teacher that her seat was next to the window because if there was a driveby he wanted her dead first
same exact history teacher playing the grinch in the school play
my math teacher having a lifesize cardboard cutout of harry styles (gift from teacher) and queen elizabeth ii (bought)
same math teacher sneaking cats into the school
these girls getting stuck in the elevator for almost an hour before being rescued (they were in there for ten minutes before the other spanish teacher heard them)
my english teacher (same as above) putting on a movie where we got flashed (we were in seventh grade iirc)
different english teacher throwing stuff at students
someone getting their book published
Teenagers from the ages 12-18 have frequent meetings with their bishops where they are asked if they keep the law of chastity, but the bishop often doesn't stop there- if a child admits to masturbating or fantasizing or sexual activity he often asks for explicit details -they are often subjected to what I was.
Can confirm, only in my case it was our Catholic high school chaplain.
The conversation we had, the room we were in, the questions he followed up with, all of it remains wedged deep in my memory to this day.
