Chiaki Nanami - Tumblr Posts
Dead Plate x Danganronpa.
Rody — Nagito.
Vincent — Izuru.
Manon — Chiaki.
Komanami and kamukoma, wow.
Nagito and Chiaki broke up on the initiative of the second, because Komaeda sacrificed himself for the sake of their relationship pretty often, and this frightened the girl. She wants him to learn to take care of himself.
Nagito lands a job at a formal restaurant owned by a renowned chef, Izuru Kamukura, to make enough money to win back his ex.
By lore and plot, Izuru killed Chiaki (And turned her into food) and chewed Nagito's ear, huh. "You never loved her" "But you did".
Also, now I like headcanon... Izuru don't have any sense of taste. He doesn't have ability to taste food. :D
Rody and Nagito are bad at cooking, lol.
Other versions, huh.
Well, well, well....
This took QUITE a while to make-
After the whole thing with this post happened, I wanted to edit something again since it was fun to make and y'all seemed to actually like it! ✨
This is by far the longest individual edit I ever worked on-
And I believe that is the case because this is the first time I decided to put some genuine effort into the background.
I spent like 2 hours on that damn tree-
Oh and one important thing. I originally edited the characters in a larger size, but I had to shrink them down later. Here's the original version.
And why did I choose those characters?
Well, uh...
@random-meme-bot ...remember that ask you got about a month ago? Yeahhhh that was me.
I couldn't decide which characters to edit next so I kind of indirectly asked you-
And yeah, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! Which is, way better than I expected.
🌸🌸🌸~Hope you guys like it! :D~🌸🌸🌸

I drew Chiaki to test out stuff with my style and honestly I’m in love with this drawing
Chiakiiii
I honestly relate to her in a spiritial level
I have yet to *actually* render this drawing but I sadly get so caught up with other stuff that this has been sitting undone for a year so might as well show the unfinished version at least cause I really like the comp
There is no way Chiaki is the "perfect girl" because:
perfect girls do not ignore people
perfect girls don't conflict
perfect girls don't mock
perfect girls do not use an authoritarian tone
perfect girls don't shut others up
perfect girls are not called bitches
perfect girls don't get annoyed
perfect girls don't punch in the face
I also wanted to say something about the term "gap moe" that Soda uses in reference to Nanami.
Moe is a character who evokes feelings of cuteness, a desire to protect and care. Accordingly, "gap moe" destroys these feelings, leaving a kind of dissonance. It seems to you that the character should behave differently, be kind and nice, but it turns out to be the opposite. Roughly speaking, the character does something completely contrary to what his appearance dictates.
The "gap moe" effect demonstrates the versatility of the character, as opposed to those characters whose behavior never changes or is completely predictable. It allows the viewer to view the character as more than just a one-dimensional figure, since in reality people may well be caught off guard by those who do not act as expected.
Thus, "gap moe" is not intended to "attract," but rather to show the character from a different perspective, helping to delve into his essence. The author's way of saying "there is something interesting about this character and it will be revealed later," arousing curiosity.
About Nanami Anniversary Outfit
✨ No overloading with details or ruffles
✨ A choker adds elegance
✨ Interesting and atypical for the heroine hairstyle
✨ No high heels. I don't think Chiaki looks good in them
✨ A puffy skirt not to the floor is the best option for Chiaki
✨Dark color and a minimum of accessories does not make the image sugary
✨The sequins are reminiscent of space, creating a magical entourage
In this dress, with open shoulders, puffed skirt, and hair gathered in an intricate hairdo, she resembles the ladies of the Romantic era.
I want to recall a moment where three men - one of whom is a yakuza, the other two have good physical training - stupidly stare at the scene as an exasperated Akane strangles Nagito. The girl who stops Owari is 160, anemic and passive. Stops Akane by giving her a slap in the face.
Nanami is often branded as the "helper girl", but I just reviewed the third trial today and can state that the main "helper" of sdr2 is Nagito Komaeda. The game literally makes the player dependent on Nagito, exaggerating his importance and elevating his deductive skills to an absolute. Whenever any difficulty occurs during a trial, it is Komaeda who takes care of everything. He gives hints, he protects, he guides (and in the course of his investigations, he tells you to go there and do that). In the end, when Nagito dies, the game reminds us how many times he got our asses out.
Chiaki statements are mostly independent and work for the plot, not to help Hinata. What's more, Hajime HAS HELPED HER. As was the case during Chiaki's argument with Tanaka.
Chiaki was probably really meant to be the protagonist's mainstay, but I have a theory that with the creation of Nagito, Kodaka changed plans and decided to give Komaeda more screen time and plot weight, which resulted in "sticking him in all precedents even if it's irrelevant".
Nanami is an object of aesthetic contemplation for me and I adore her design. Especially the hair, the eyes, the color of her skin and… the hands. Look at how graceful they are and how neatly Rui drew them. The long arms only add to the effect of elegance.
About Chiaki flaws in DR3
Fandom is convinced that Chiaki in DR3 is perfect and has no flaws, but that's absolutely not true. She has quite a few flaws. And one of them is her painful attachment to Hinata.
Don't misunderstand. I'm not going to criticize hinanami. I want to examine Chiaki love for Hinata in a more objective, realistic way. Discuss her love as a facet of her character.
Obviously, hinanami also works as a starter to intensify the dramatic tone in the final episodes. Basically, the human Nanami is a romantic and lyrical heroine whose love becomes the main motif. But what if you look at it from the perspective of a mere teenager?
Nanami and Hinata acquaintance is spontaneous. Just because of one game. However, it's enough for Chiaki to go after Hajime after school. To which Hajime himself was surprised.
Chiaki is a bit of an imposition. She abruptly violates Hajime personal space (incidentally, this destroys the stereotype of Nanami shy) without asking permission and insistently leads him away to play, which leaves Hajime confused and shocked.
No. Chiaki is not a Yandere. Rather, her behavior illustrates the all-consuming loneliness she has had to face. There was no one person who could share her interests. And when Chiaki finds that person, it is as if she has an obsessive fear of losing him, so she begins to behave persistently.
This suggests that the loneliness has taken its toll on her mental health. She is very withdrawn, but secretly dreams of a friend. Chiaki in DR3 is not just a sweet and kind girl. She is a broken and deeply unhappy (at first) person who tries to save herself through escapism (video games).
Because of her lack of emotional support, Chiaki quickly and strongly becomes attached to others. This takes a bit of a radical turn. It is especially noticeable in her attitude toward Hajime.
I think Chiaki had cold parents. And of course Chisa becomes a mother figure to her, who mentors and reveals Chiaki's abilities. It was Chisa who helped give Chiaki what she always wanted (friends).
I think most people would stop waiting for a man who left you for a year without explaining anything. But Chiaki persists in waiting. Hinata has become the dearest and closest person to her. Hinata was probably the only one who could quench Chiaki emotional hunger, which had been building up over the years. She is very afraid of losing Hinata. This fear suggests that she has become dependent on Hinata. Is this a manifestation of "perfection"? It's more an indication of how broken Chiaki is inside.
I've seen many people rightly criticize Chiaki act while trying to save Chisa. Chiaki being the leader made no attempt to secure the class or involve the police. And I suspect that such haste might have been because of Hinata. Chiaki wanted to meet him so badly that she forgot about everything else. Her emotional dependence on Hinata was the reason for her tragic outcome. The moment when Nanami goes to certain dungeons with her class in search of her teacher is indicative. Despite the whole situation, she is in high spirits, even though Peko and Nagito almost paid with their lives earlier. One could be reduced to optimism, but before that, Chiaki was walking around in a depressed state and giving only forced smiles. It's worth mentioning that this happens AFTER meeting Hajime (Izuru).
In the game Nanami was called:
slowpoke
turtle
cursed swine
jerk
bitch
I doubt that perfect personalities (In the opinion of the fandom) evoke such a reaction
